Great Home Base for a Rome Visit!

This was a wonderful stay! The bed was so comfortable and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect. Lots of cute shops and restaurants behind it. Turn right out of the hotel and explore the alleyways and small streets. Very walkable to all of the main attractions. Will stay there again on my next trip to Rome.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here!! The staff was so friendly and cleaning service was very good! It was pretty, clean, and a great 10/10 location with so many amazing restaurants and shops nearby as well as being within walking distance of most of Rome’s historical sights.

The location is excellent, walkable to most of the places; but the property is old and only provides basic amenities.

A little worn and tired in a few places but overall a nice place. Quiet and very convenient location for restaurants and shopping.

Communication from Katherina was great. Check in with Fabrivio was seamless, yet informative. Joy at the desk was very helpful too. The hotel is in an alley between two busy streets, though this added to the charm of being so near the activities. It’s an old building, in a very old city. Better than expected. Great restaurants feet away from the hotel front door. We enjoyed our time.

Rooms were very small and a bit grungy, Pics on the website were deceiving, I should have realized, by price comparison and looked at the amenities closer. The location was great, walking distance to all the sites, great food/ restaurants nearby. If you don’t mind roughing it a bit, it would be ok.

Lovely central apartment

We had a great experience staying at CancelleriaDieci. The room was clean and included everything we needed. The terrace was lovely, with a view over the city. One of the plants on the terrace had died and smelled badly, which was initially offputting, but the staff were prompt and apologetic in helping us work out where the smell originated and dealing with it. The apartment is located centrally, in easy walking distance from everywhere we wanted to visit. Despite the location near so many restaurants and bars, we didn't have any noise issues. The staff were very friendly and polite, and most spoke excellent English. They were happy to take care of our luggage until 4pm after we had checked out (reception isn't manned 24/7 as it is not a hotel).

We loved our two night stay here! The location is unbeatable, so close to many nice restaurants and attractions. The check-in was smooth and the staff were welcoming. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. We appreciated the small balcony and didn't hear any street noise at night. The only negative was the lobby and rooms had a strong perfume smell that lingered on our clothing even after we left, which was a bit much for us and could be problematic for someone with strong allergies. But overall we had a great stay and would recommend!

Great place to stay in Rome!

I was very pleased with our stay at this hotel. The location was ideal, being a stone's throw from the Piazza Navona and also right off the Corso Vittorio Emmanuelle. The room was clean, all appliances worked, and the balcony was awesome. I will be staying there again.

We stayed 5 days here. Property was centrally located and easy walking distance to all major attractions. We often took a taxi to the attraction if early start and walked back but that was due to choice. Remember this is a guest house not a hotel so no good available. EST the restaurant next door is lovely. Bedding is changed every 2nd day. Towels seemed to be changed only if you left them on the floor rather than hanging them up. Tea and coffee is provided in the room although the cartons of milk were not replaced which was a little weird and toilet rolls weren't replaced either - a bit strange. There is a mini fridge with water in the room. Storage was poor - just one wardrobe and no draws so we had to live out of our suitcase. This was my only issue really. We had a balcony which was nice to sit out on, due to coverage over the top it didn't get much sun. Be aware the lift doesn't start on the ground floor, it only starts from floor 1. Stone or tiled floors and heavy doors which do bang when closing but generally quite. Would definitely stay again.

Very well located! Simple, clean suite fits 3 comfortably but can accommodate 4. Did not code for front entrance but easily got resplved.

The location was perfect. Check-in was easy having an elevator was definitely a huge plus! The balcony was wonderful at night to sit out and have a glass of wine once we got back from our adventures.

**Positives:** This charming guest house boasts an excellent location, making it convenient for exploring the area. The self-check-in process was seamless, and I found the bed to be comfortable. After braving the sweltering heat outside, the cold air conditioning was a welcome relief. **Negatives:** Unfortunately, the electronic key proved to be unreliable, though the provision of traditional keys ensured we could always access our room, albeit with some inconvenience. The shower could benefit from a designated space for soap and shampoo, rather than leaving them on the floor. Additionally, while there was an elevator, it was rather small and warm; nonetheless, I appreciated its availability. Finally, I would have preferred a better coffee maker, as I’m not a fan of instant coffee. --- Feel free to use or modify this as you like!

This place was awesome. It’s far enough from the super crowded touristy areas but close enough if you like to walk everywhere. There are a lot of great little cafes and restaurants around the area too. The front desk staff are super nice and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this place highly.

Great area, very comfortable and clean apt.

Quiet and close to the action.

It was a very quiet area. Staff were helpful and responsive. If you want quiet outside of the city center book here! But easy to walk everywhere. My only recommendation is they need a fan for the room to bring the air conditioning to bedroom. Otherwise a larger apartment with a kitchen was a great move.

Dream away from home

Reception to the hotel was amazing! The staff was spectacular! We loved staying here very close to everything we wanted to see. We felt absolutely safe and welcomed! Thank you for the memories!

Great place near everything in Rome. Rooms were smaller but clean, attractive and very comfortable. I would absolutely stay again next time I visit Rome.

Fantastic location and space.

Wonderful boutique in the heart of Rome!

Location is fantastic....about 5 minutes walk to Pantheon. At the end of the street is a street named Via del Governo Vecchio, which has multiple restaurants. I recommend you eat at Osteria Pasquino. Also there is a popular tiramisu store called "Two Sizes" that is at the end of the street this hotel is on. Keep in mind that the front desk is not open 24 hrs a day, so you will definitely need to speak with the hotel about your arrival time. After I booked the hotel I got an email from them so we could arrange my arrival time. The room had a nice balcony overlooking the city. There was no breakfast included. The bed was very comfortable and was a queen-sized. There is a taxi stand down the road on Corso Vittoria Emanuel II about 2-3 blocks from the hotel.

Very clean. Great location. Walkable, but also easily accessible to public transportation. Reception was wonderful and very helpful; provided recommendations for dining options and helped with bus navigation throughout the city. Cleaned our room daily and provided fresh towels and water bottles. Definitely recommend! :)

It was the perfect location, a few blocks from Navona Square. We walked everywhere. Lots of great food was close. It's a guest house, not a hotel, but Katherina at the front desk helped us arrange tours, and arranged transportation to and from the airport. She was always available by text. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a WONDERFUL place to stay.

Great location, helpful staff

This hotel is in a great location near Piazza Navona and within easy walking distance of most major attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Keep in mind this is a residence rather than a hotel, so staff is only available during daytime hours. Rooms are a bit smaller and older than in the website photos, but good quality, especially for an old city where all hotel rooms are small.

Wonderful location that sits between many iconic locations in Rome. I enjoyed the small balcony. Comfortable bed and seemed to be quiet.

Nice place about 2-3 minute stroll to Piazza Navona. The room was comfortable, but very plain. Our room had a nice balcony but not a great view, overlooking the alley. Water pressure in the shower was outstanding! Staff was very helpful and made transportation arrangements. Katherina responded promptly to all messages.

Check-in was easy and the hotel and rooms were explained very well.

A little difficult to find - the street address in the dark is a little difficult to find especially as the cabbie cannot drive down the street it is too narrow But we did find it after a call to the person meeting us Everything worked - nice little patio - but you are in an inner courtyard so no view of any kind but still nice to be outside Would definitely book this property again

Perfect location. Loved the balcony. Great staff. Cool even without air con on. Firm, comfortable bed but only has thin hard pillows. Shower could use updated tile (not the cleanest). Felt safe the entire stay. Overall minor tweaks could make this place incredible but would stay again regardless.

Our stay at CancelleriaDieci was delightful! A great one bedroom apartment in the Navona district. Easy walking to everything. Great restaurants and sites close by. We ate breakfast in the apt before heading out for the day. Nice to come home to air conditioning after a day of site seeing.

Great location Building is very old Clean room

The property was easy to find and we were greeted by the receptionist who was so helpful. We were given loads of information of the local area and I can honestly say, this was one of the best places I have ever stayed in. It is situated in an excellent location, very near to most attractions and the balcony gave such beautiful views. Cleaner was brilliant and nothing was any trouble for the staff. Excellent property. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower with modern fixtures. I found the owner, Patrizia, warm, charming and helpful. The location couldn’t be improved. My husband and I walked everywhere. I wholeheartedly recommend CancelleriaDieci.

The property is located perfectly, in a very nice central area, close to the historical cites and a lot of excellent dining options. Roberta was very friendly and helpful and provided us with excellent recommendations of the places to see and the restaurants. Internet was not reaching the bedroom and only available in the leaving room. The hot water was not very hot, but still we could shower comfortably enough. The complimentary bottle of wine was a small one.

This was an amazing property. So close to so many points of interest and local culture. Beautiful apartment and Roberta the Manager was fantastic. She gave us wonderful restaurant suggestions, and directions and transportation help. Can't wait to go back

Great review

The host provided all the details and suggestions for touring in advance. I was met at the airport by a driver hired by the apts - so easy to navigate such a potentially crazy entrance for the airport in Rome. Roberta was great with planning my walking and points of interest. Virginia was always there as needed. this is not a hotel but a guest house and is the best choice for a single on my own traveler with a lot of stress about navigating Rome.

Before we even arrived, the hotel manager Roberta did an outstanding job communicating with us and making sure we were squared away with getting from the airport to the hotel and that she would be there to greet us when we arrived. Her personality and demeanor when we did arrive really set the tone for our extremely wonderful stay in Rome! Moreover, her recommendations for restaurants that were off the beaten path but of superior quality made our trip one of the most memorable we have ever had! All of her suggestions were above and beyond our expectations and the hotel is located less than two blocks from Piazza Navona but far enough away so that there is not a lot of noise at night and the rooms are very comfortable. We will definitely stay here when we return to Rome next summer… And I highly recommend you at least try the restaurant next-door called Est for dinner... The food there was homemade and the chef poured her heart and genius into every meal and it was fabulous… We ate there multiple times and do not regret any of our meals there… They were magnificent!

location Rome

Roberta was excellent. booked transportation and texted recommendations for meals and sites to see. Location was awesome. We walked to the Vatican, Spanish Steps, and all of the attractions. Walked 7 miles the first day (but only because I have an athletic daughter) everything was an easy walk and usually under 20 minutes. Great way to See Rome. Do not book a cab on your own unless you remember Rome is the city of Thieves. If Roberta books it. you can guarantee its on time and reasonably priced .

Our family had 3 nights stay in this hotel with 1 bedroom apartment fully equipped with kitchen and fridge. We love this hotel. It is spacious. With sofabeds in living room, it provides enough room and privacy for our teen kids. Roberta, our receptionist is super friendly and helpful. She provides us many tips on local dining, attractions and market places. She even sent us a gift of local dessert - Christmas cake. She helpped us to hire the taxi upon our departure. Thank you so much Roberta. this hotel is in the center of the city attraction sites, very convenient and great fir family stay. One suggestion I'd like to offer is for towels. They are a lityle too thin snd worn out. a new set of good quality towels will make this hotel perfect.

The owners were so lovely and welcoming, and also helped me to organise transfers to and from the airport. Great location within walking distance to a lot of the sights, and plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was comfortable and clean and had a beautiful view from the balcony.

Too small in size for average size Americans. Good location but restricted for auto access.

Central to many sights or close to taxi stands. The restaurant next door provided a great breakfast. The room was quiet, even though we were right off the busy street of Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. Good for the independent traveler, as there wasn't someone regularly at the desk. That said, they could be reached by phone if necessary.

We stayed 10 days in September. Location is close to everything, P. Navona, Campo di Flori, Vatican. Angel bridge are less than10 min walk. Souvenirs, antiques, Marino glass, within 2 blocks. Pizza, Gelato, outdoor cafe's, first class restaurants & groceries also close. The furniture older but bed was comfortable. Television in multiple languages, Wifi worked well. Terrace is small but nice to have. Kitchenette was a useful option. It had frig, stove, microwave, coffee maker and all the basic dishes/pans needed. We were easily able to make stop back to room in midday to drop of shopping, change for dinner or just get off feet. Bus and taxi stop just down at corner (bus 64 run from terminal to Vatican every few min) other buses stop every 15 to 20 min. Get bus pass if your staying longer than a few days, your feet will thank you. You can walk to Coliseum, Spanish steps and Trevi, however walking back over cobblestones after dinner was something we didn't want to do. Closest metro and tram lines are in Vatican city, they are just outside of old city center. So when you take them you still will need to walk a few blocks to most sights.

Pleasant air conditioned room in an area perfect as a base. Good nearby restaurants. No “hotel” services other than straightening up your bed each day.

Quaint Roma Room

This place is perfect! We knew we would be out and about in Rome most of the time, but it was a wonderful home base. The hosts were great and the room was so comfortable! When we come back to Roma we will certainly stay here again.

Extremely helpful staff with a property in an excellent condition and location. The property is older than the pictures suggest but the staff have gone the extra mile with added extras. Highly recommended.

Stay here in Rome!

Patrizia & Alessandro were very accommodating and the apartment fit all of our needs. The cold AC was wonderful to come home to after all of our walking as well.

Charming!

My husband and daughter and I stayed for two nights at this charming guest house. What a treat! Central to all the main sites in Rome, we could walk to most. We loved coming “home” after each tour and enjoying a cold drink on the terrace. The hosts live on this property and were so helpful.

Great location with balcony

It was an amazing place. We had a balcony so it was great to have coffee there in the morning and maybe a glass of wine before bed. Patrizia was so nice and accomodating and she was very thorough in the check-in process. Everything was easy as long as you communicate with them your arrival time. The location was perfect! Super close to Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori.

Highly recommended !! - absolute perfect location for couples or groups that love to walk and explore. Public transport and cabs are also super close by. - cute and delicious little restaurants at your door step, under one minute walk away - Piazza Navona, great spot, 3 minutes away - Pantheon approx 10 minutes walk - All the main sites , walkable !! - Room was clean and very comfortable - our bed seemed to be two single beds pushed together, however it was so comfortable, mattress and pillows comfy too. - Patrizia is just a gem and helped us with everything we could possibly need. - gave as the best overview of the city and some great ideas on what to see and do - this is a guest house, not a hotel! However bed was made up neatly every day We’d 100% stay here again. Perfect little place.

Great Find in Roma

Excellent guest house. Nice, updated rooms. Great AC, comfortable beds and quiet. Great location between colosseum and Vatican. Allessandro and Patriza are very nice and helpful. We had to store a lot of bags for our trip to Capri and Allesondro was helpful in doing this. The only negative is that there is no front desk. Just for check in and check out. However, the owners are usually available as needed.

Great place

This was great. Felt like an Airbnb more than a hotel, but it had the amenities I wanted from a hotel. Clean and spacious room, with a nice bathroom especially. Bed was firm but not uncomfortable. The area is really what I loved though. It was smack dab in the middle of everywhere I wanted to be, with lots of options for shopping, dining, and sightseeing. I walked to the Campo de Fiori market almost every day for fresh fruit which was lovely. The room is very quiet and peaceful with good working air conditioning. Highly recommend.

Location was excellent - within walking distance of all the main sights and tonnes of lovely restaurants. Patrizia, the owner, was friendly and very informative. Great to have a kitchen to keep drinks cold, especially during peak Rome summer weather. Overall, a lovely place to stay!

Poor Accomodations

I was not satisfied with this facility at all. The air conditioning did not work well. There were bugs in the room. The bed was not comfortable being 2 twins joined together. The water was not very warm and shower faucet did not work well. Very old building.

wonderful place!!!!

This place was perfect! Perfect location, perfect apartment, perfect hostess. The room was clean and had all modern amenities while retaining its historic Rome feel. The hostess arranged our transportation from the airport and to the cruise terminal, making our stay stress free. I only wish we had more time, would DEF stay here again!!!

The accommodations were great, spacious and clean. The location was perfect, in the middle of all attractions. Mary was awesome. So friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel.

Brilliant stay

This is a small apart hotel, host very attentive and helpful, found the place very central all the attractions in walking distance stayed two days didn’t have to use public transport. Eating places very close there are two restaurants on next door very reasonable open very early for breakfast all in all brilliant stay.

The location could not be any better. Absolutely perfect to explore the historic centre. Everything was in easy walking distance and we had a fabulous 5 days enjoying this beautiful city. The apartment was disappointing at first as it was small and dark and not like the beautiful light space we saw online. It was more of a studio. However the cleanliness was exceptional and the communication also. We would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you for a great stay.

Awesome apartment near Piazza Navona! Mary made me feel very welcome and even sent me a list of recommended restaurants I should check out. (I didn't make it to any this time, but I'm saving the list for my next trip). Easy walking to the main tourist areas, but taxis are also readily available just down the street at the Museum of Rome. Be warned that the taxis and car services need to drop you off and pick you up on the main street at the corner rather than coming up the narrow alleyway to the front of the guesthouse. Also, keep in mind that once inside, you will have to climb some steps to get to the elevator to your room. I'm definitely staying here again the next time I visit Rome.

This place is within easy walking distance of the top attractions. We walked to the Colosseum/Forum, Vatican, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Trastavere, etc. Large comfortable bed, fridge, lift to 4th floor. They were very helpful with restaurant recommendations, walking routes, and transfer service to the airport. Amazing value; I'll be back if I'm ever in Rome!

Amazing CancelleriaDieci!

CancelleriaDieci was an amazing little studio apartment located next to almost all the important historical sites. Although we had a 7 day transport pass, we hardly needed to use them as most places were within comfortable walking distance. The apartment was reasonably well furnished for a short stay. Overall our stay at CancelleriaDieci was very comfortable and enjoyable.

Room very clean. Perfect location! 5 minutes walk from Place Navona and Pantheon and a few steps from many good restaurants (we really recommand Est restaurant just next door!) Nice neighborhood too stay, with lost of cafe, gelateria, boutiques, restaurants but at the same time very quiet at night. Nice welcoming from the lady and clean up of the room every day. Bed confortable.

Perfect location, very nice guest house

This guest house was perfect! The location couldn't be better - right in between Campo Di Fiori and Piazza Navonna, with lots of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. Highly recommend the restaurant Cantina e Cucina right around the corner and the tiramisu shop right next to it. The host was very friendly and accommodating, she stored our luggage and was able to give us early check-in, which made everything super easy. The room itself was very clean and had everything you need, including coffee,and some complimentary drinks and snacks. The building also has an elevator, which was an added bonus. All main tourist attractions are nearby and have easy access by public transportation or taxi. There are 2 24 hour taxi stands nearby, which made our early departure very easy. Would definitely come back and highly recommend!

Spacious place, right in the middle of where you want to be in Rome, in a small side street walking distance from a lot of key sites like Piazza di Navona etc. There also a great restaurant (not associated I believe) right downstairs (Est Artigiani del Gusto - check the reviews and don't go to the pizza place next to it). Plus a gazillion others a stone throw away. Good communication throughout the process and we took advantage of the shuttle service back to the airport.

Simply Loved it

we loved this small hotel. In the heart of the action near Piazza Navona. The owners live on site are so very helpful and nice. Jennifer the concierge is a delight and will give you the best food recommendations! We will definitely stay at this hotel for our next visit to Rome!

CancelleriaDieci was wonderful. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good place to stay in the heart of Rome. It is a great location and the apartment we were in was very comfortable, clean and spacious, a real haven for us in the middle of Rome to come back to in the evenings and relax after a long hot day of being a tourist. The terrace was a wonderful thing to have, great for coffee in the morning. Jenifer was wonderful to work with on our arrival logistics, as well.

Great location & value!

Incredible location super close to everything without being on a busy street itself. Did not think it was as hard to find as other reviewers - the hotel sent very clear instructions with the reservation. Super clean and good sized rooms. Really friendly and helpful front desk and managers, they even delivered our lost luggage to our door at 10pm. It is a family run business so they actually care about you! Incredible value, 100% would stay again.

Great value in Rome

Really enjoyed our stay here. It is really convenient walking distance to many of the neighborhoods and touristic sites of Rome. Good restaurants around the corner and shops nearby. Very nice room with balcony terrace. For the price paid, I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Guest House

Stayed recently in November 12-15. This is an excellent place to stay and we will be booking again on all our trips back to Rome! Communication by staff after booking was helpful, prompt and thorough. They have excellent customer service and are very helpful with any questions about the area. Location is superb. Perfect location

A comfortable apartment with lovely wooden ceilings. The location is perfect, 5 minutes walk to the Piazza Navona, 6 minutes to the Pantheon, 15 minutes to the Vatican. With plenty of good restaurants and bars at the end of the street. I would recommend it to anyone.
