The view was incredible and the easy access to the board walk.

Love the lodge, everyone is so friendly and kind. We love sitting and watching the lake, coffee and tea is always available.. rooms are spacious and clean. Honestly though not a fan of the food at breakfast- or the price of the room. it’s expensive and we love to come and stay but not in our budget to do more than once a year.

So close to restaurants and shops. All walkable even if it’s really cold outside. Rooms seem larger than other hotels. Very clean. Very quiet. Great view of Lake Superior! Could hear the waves at night. Decent breakfast choices, and hours. Very nice staff!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating! Also, the area is great. The hotel is right by all the Canal Park shops and restaurants and is walkable to everything downtown. We will definitely be back!

The breakfast was wonderful and included with your stay. Pool was perfect temperature. I cannot comment on walk ability - it was so cold and windy while we were there - typical Duluth weather for February.

We haven't stayed here before and were pleasantly surprised. Nice hotel on Duluth's Canal Park area. Walkable to many restaurants, despite the chilly weather!

Warm decor and service in frigid weather. We were well taken care of but friendly, competent staff.

Have stayed here many times before. Like it very much. This time our greeting at the desk was very cold and unwelcoming - not our usual treatment. We were the only ones there so its not like she was busy. Didn't let it spoil our stay Clean spotless rooms, comfy and quiet. Beautiful views. We will be back.

Very happy with our stay. I took my wife here for a quick weekend trip for her birthday. When checkung in the sta8ff suggested staying on the third floor as there were a bunch of hockey kids there for a weekend tournament. No offense to these families but they do get a little loud at night. Our stay was perfect per the suggested third floor because it would be quieter. I would say above and beyond service. Very happy.

A very nice stay, clean hotel, friendly front desk workers, a nice view of the lake from inside the hotel. Breakfast selection was very good, we appreciated that it ran until 10, so many hotels stop earlier. Close to restaurants, easy to get to the hotel

All overall, our stay was great. The only bummer was that we never received room service during our stay. I’m not sure if that is normal at this hotel to not provide room service and you pick up your new towels yourself at the front desk. Aside from that, staff was kind, clean hotel, nice rooms!

Wifi was not working and front desk staff were very unfriendly and not welcoming.

This hotel really grew on us. It was sold out the week we went due to the holiday, but the staff handled it well. Great check-in, decent coffee and breakfast, spacious rooms, clean pool/spa area. We were unsure about this hotel but it really grew on us. The lobby/sitting area seemed to be the hotspot and it was surprising to see so many groups congregating there chatting and playing board games. The only thing I could recommend would be a mattress upgrade. Our bed was very comfy but could tell that the mattress would need to be updated soon. Will stay again.

We enjoyed our stay, and the property is very charming. It was clean and the staff was very welcoming. We were surprised to find there were no charging stations for our technology. It would have been nice to know we needed to bring chargers with a plug. Also, at breakfast, the hashbrowns were never refilled. You could tell everyone was waiting around for them. They sounded so good "cheesy hashbrowns...yum!" so it was a disappointment not to have them refilled.

Wonderful place to stay while we visited Bentleyville. They even had a shuttle which was so convenient. The breakfast in the morning was great! Will stay again.

The stay was great! The clerk at the front desk greeted us right away and was quick and helpful! The room was very large which we loved! No issues at all. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices! We will definitely will stay here shy!

Beautiful hotel, great breakfast offered

Typically I love staying here but this particular stay was not up to the standards that previous stays had set. Our room was not ready on time and though they did move us to a lake view room it was the worst smelling room I’ve ever encountered. Smelled like B.O. and sour milk. It just felt dirty and like the cleaning had been rushed. I’d come back for another stay but I’d be super picky about the quality of my room next time.

The power went out in the morning during breakfast. It was very impressive how professional the staff handled the situation. Once the power came back on a hot breakfast was available very quickly for the guests.

Loved that it is close to Bentleyville (walking distance), had clean rooms and very friendly staff at check in.

Very nice family hotel on the water. During our weekend stay, the weather was too cold to walk to many popular places and events, which otherwise is quite doable from the hotel. We loved the hotel bus to Bentleyville, so no parking worries there. Breakfast options were good.

Very clean, nice layout, the views from the room are breathtaking, nice place for families, breakfast was amazing, staff is always friendly and helpful, plenty of towels in the room which was very nice, and the most comfortable pillows ever! We were very sad to leave because it just felt like home and the views throughout the hotel were just beautiful and all the different areas of seating to hang out were comfy and inviting. The hotel also serves alcohol so you can purchase them and drink in your room. My husband and I were able to enjoy a nice chilled bottle of champagne which is what we needed after a long day of traveling. We can't wait to go back and stay longer!

Right in Canal Park which made it easy to walk wherever we wanted to go. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

The staff was very friendly. We were able to check in early without any problems. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast area was clean and had a good variety of breakfast items, hot and cold.

It was perfect. First hotel stay, and I stay at approximately 12 a year plus, i didnt feel the need to personally wipe clean and disinfect the room! The pillows and bed were so comfortable. Carpet was like brand new and very quiet third floor room. If i had to say one negative, which would be hard to do, the shower soap dispenser was empty. The lobby was welcoming and beautiful and begged you to just sit and enjoy.

Canal Park Lodge is a comfortable place to stay and just a short walk from Bentleyville's light display. We've stayed here for several winter visits and have enjoyed the location, room amenities, and the full breakfast each morning.

I would stay here again, we just had a miscommunication about an early check in. That threw our plans off a little bit. Not a big deal.
