This property need a lot of work done before I dare revisit it, I’ve been lied to by the staff, the taxi service scammed us every step of the way, different prices on everything, not worth going out there until they improve the service of their staff and the situation with their rooms, the room was subpar it wasn’t like exactly comfy, the room ac was buggy and the bathroom had a terrible stench/smell to it, the entire time we were there the pool was closed and the Landry was open then closed then open several different people said different things, it’s just frustrating tho that the hotel that cost almost the most on our trip was the worst one that we’ve been to, they need to improve their facilities and their staff and transportation before we come back, it’s a bad issue, but I’m hoping they can improve, and In a few years it will be better than it is today!

Overpriced rooms, in desperate need of renovation.

This place needs a complete overhaul. It appears they have let the elements do their work for two years during the pandemic, and they have made little to no effort to renovate since. Room rates are astronomical given the state of disrepair. At almost $200 per night it's disgraceful. We just felt ripped off frankly. Food is poor. Breakfast was truly aweful. Staff are friendly, especially Kathy (5 stars), but the resort is severely understaffed. My reco is to visit for the day but not to stay overnight.

4-Star beach & pool; 1-Star food & rest.

4-Star Hotel price ($150) but we were Happy to not stay second night. 1-Stars> thin ceiling as we could hear upstairs voices, chairs moving, walking in heels; had to sleep with pillow over head. AirCon loud as a train! And WHAT happened to once great 'Reef' Resto? Meals come with cheap, thin, frozen fries. Gone is their amazing breakfast buffet (Covid rules) but instead got a plate of WRONG style eggs, under done tocino, and rice....included a 7,400p room price. We called 2 pm to get cable fixed, he arrived 7 pm...cable also a joke est 20 channels worked of 100. 4-Star> parking, pillows-bed, rest. staff, bartender, beach&water, pool@night. So basically this IS the place for beach & pool, but NOT the place for food or quiet night ZZzz.

The property has tremendous potential.it needs paint and some repairs. The landscape is unkempt. The beach was dirty with trash and piles of trash.

Avoid

No prior advise on quarintine imposed restrictions. Pool,restsurant closed at 6pm. Food limited and very poor. Totally over priced at 6,800 per night. Wifi not working. No hot water and limited TV channels A very disappoining experience. Would not recommend.

OLD ROOMS, but nice beach

They were very rude at check in. Also, the room was high priced at over 7k pesos and had not been updated in at least 15 to 20 years. The facilities were pretty good as far as beach and resto. The rooms are not worth what they charge even though beach is nice, etc. The resto staff slow but nice. Mainly the admin attendents were rude and condescending. etter place for day trip and use of facilities or if you want NICE rooms go to ACEA

I like all the staff, they are all approachable and accommodated with a smile. Need to improve their bathroom, there is no drainage on the side of the toilet bowl, once there is a splash from the shower, it will drag it inside the room, the towel pad get always wet.

HORRIBLE: Room 3222, NO RELAXATION from '5 walls of unhappy". Left side = NOISY pool 8am till 10 pm. Right side; microphone announcer of the Aqua Park BLARES into room LOUDER than TV 10-5 am. Front wall thin and teenager partying till 11. Back wall; squeaking old wooden beds/head board. AND ceiling; over our room was a storage room or party hall, hears table and chairs moving, scraping till 2 am. Two nights sleeping with a pillow over my head for $260, huh!. The 'Welcome cocktail' only avail from 3-5 (huh?) taste like Kool Aid, with 2% alcohol. NIGHTMARE ordering from Menu; 1st meal was messy tacos, NO Napkins! Then wife had to get up and get her OWN catsup after asking twice. Dinner meal, I had Beef Caldereta (Tomato beef stew) yet NO tomato taste, oily, and meat (see photo) had 20 chunks of FAT, gross....WONDERFUL: two things that hotel doesn't control? Beach is grade A clear water, white sand, no vendors. And parking lot is giant, big enough for buses. Finally breakfast buffett A plus. I-F we go back it would be to park and pay for beach NOT EVER going back to sleep, oh no!

Resort is beautiful on the outside. Service was great. Condition of the room was comfortable but bathroom looks like it has not been renovated in over twenty years.

Value on ocean water. Staff the reef restaurant very helpful and considserate.Gail was a very professional and attentive staff member.

I liked the beach, room is ok, bathroom needs better configuration to much water on the floor if you may think it is a beach place always we need to take a shower... I hate the way the charge you if you bring some alcohol drinks inside , like beer or wine, we paid good amount for the room I think it looks bad if the want to get also business with some drinks you want to bring this is a place to enjoy with family and friends, and that small details they loose customers.

Our 1st experience was great we were booked on the new bldg deluxe room and the lighting in the room was great. that is why we went back. however this time we were booked on the beachfront. though our room was superior, i hate the lightings, the room is too dark! No flourescent lamp or led light that emits white light. you cant afford to lose small things for sure you wont find it. we tried to disconnect oe unplugged the emegency light but it is not working, it was not charged and not functioning. you can clearly see the sand behind tables and under the bed once you checked in. they are not fully cleaned except for the bed and pillows. the comfort room is old and rusty. the shower was in low pressure and you need to take a bath for longer minutes to brush off the sands on your body and underwear. Food. we ordered kiddie meal my goodness! the chicken prepared for my kids are under cooked! omg! there was blood inside and they just re-heated the food instead of replacing it! what a service!!!! we demanded for a discount but they promised to give us a new chicken but still it was the same chicken!!! reheated for the 3rd time! who do you think wound eat that?!!!! liars!!! Can you pls replace the chef?? we just let it go after they lied! Gosh free breakfast was too disappointing as well.. few choices of food! I would think thrice if I would go back to this resort for the 3rd time.. the room waa 8k a night but the experience was not rewarding...

I like the location. Very accessible to ocean adventure. Food is great. Door in 3109 needs to be repaired difficult to open the from door from inside. Need to pull harder. They should Provide anti-slippery mat in the bathroom to secure children taking a bath

Beautiful spot on a quiet beach. The rooms face the beach and have outdoor seating areas as does the restaurant and bar area. Reception area is as the pictures indicate. The grounds have a rough charm to them. The bartender was very friendly and the wait staff was nice too. My only negative is the quality of the rooms. They really need updated. They have a dirty feel to them. At the price, they should be better.

The service was great but the up keep isnt there. Our sink drain was plugged. The door was hard to open due to being not look after.

Ok but expected better

Rooms were so-so in terms of furnishings and quality. The CR is kinda small especially the tub. Hot water is problematic since they only use a solar heater. Beach was the best part although its maintenance and cleanliness was less than perfect. Dining area was open and subject to rain, and lots and lots of flies. Overall, was ok, but might try somewhere else next time.

Staff are accommodating but they’re short staff especially in the restaurant. Would definitely stay here again 😃

Very poor internet and phone connections Only 4 channel televisions working and last 2 days no television at all. I call for service and they say they can't fix it. I never recommend this place to nobody.

Overvalued

Pricey food, ordinary simple buffet breakfast and outdated rooms. Overall fair. Housekeeping is accomodating while check in/out slow.

Ok experience

Our stay there was just a typical type nothing to brag about... Although a huge tree was blocking our view of the sea... Other than that everything was fine.

The complimentary breakfast buffet really needs an upgrade. Their service was excellent, with our every reasonable request promptly met and we didn't even need to request for a room transfer when they assessed that the air conditioning unit in one of our rooms really needed fixing.

The hotel room is clean.. the water from the sea is very clear and lots of colorful fishes just near the bay.. the management and crew are very accomodating ☺️❤️ it's our 2nd time in Camayan Beach Resort.. and Expedia makes the booking easy and convenient.. Thank you

Clean and delicious food

We had a great time in Camayan Resort. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast buffet and ala carte meals were really good. The resort was well maintained and clean. It is a family-friendly resort. It was a good distance away if you would like to see the Bataan Nuclear Plant and Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. It is a walking distance to Ocean's Adventure.

My favorite resort in Subic. Great beachfront, great snorkeling.

Only the cleanliness of the room is the only one we like. The staff is not helpful at all and the even cannot provide us the itensils even plastics utensils. When we eat our breakfast the waiter and waitress is terrible they just only helping you if you give them a tip. When we check out there’s some charges that the said that we took the towels that we are not even touch it!! We show our bags so that they can see but they don’t bother to check our bags they just charge us 850 each for towels and 400 for face towels. This is ridiculous, I thought that this hotel is good but it is only a scam. I am not going to recommend this hotel to my friends and family. This hotel need to close because it is not good at all!!! I am very very very dissapointed!!!!

Good beach with great mountain view. Restaurant food was bad like cold leftovers being served with dozens of flies swarming your dinner. Great isolated location but no other place to eat but at hotel's restaurant which really put a damper on our vacation. Would come again only if they served better food and no flies. 2nd timers within the last 5 years.Everything is good. except that they are too stingy with toilet papers...for a group of four people you would think they will give you an extra. We had to ask for them. Beach Towels are way too old. Employees are so delightful-courteous, polite and would go out of their way to help you.everything else is good.

The property is not up to date but the staff, location and food was great! We had a great time here with my family. We even forgot something from our room and called them back to check if they retrieved it. We drove back from Manila to get the item with all the money that was inside it. We were very thankful and admire employees like them. Thank you for everything and we will surely be back!

Nice location but pretty run- down resort

My family and I stayed here on New Year’s Day and I payed $407 for two family rooms. For this price, I was expecting a pretty luxurious hotel because I’ve noticed that most average hotels in the Philippines are less than $100. The location is great but the rooms are definitely in need of renovation. Our rooms looked very old and and did not look clean. This hotel would probably be considered a 1 or 2-star hotel in the US. The top comforter of the bed looked like it never gets washed so I kept telling my kids not to lay on top of the bed cover. All the staff were courteous so I would give the hotel a thumbs up for that. Otherwise, I would not really recommend this hotel for the price.

It was our 3rd time to be here, the pool is execellent with kids alternative from the beach.

Will surely go back in this place

Everyone was very helpful and encouraging. The Aircon was outstanding and powerful. Would like hotter hot water and safety handles for bathtub.

had a great weekend stay with my family. Staffs were very accommodating, courteous and very pleasant. Service were fast and efficient when we had our bfst and dinner. Enjoyed our night swimming. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Our room was only a few steps to the beach. The staff were very courteous, helpful and attentive. My only complaint is that the buildings badly need cosmetic works.

Hotel needs LOTS of maintenance to restore it to its glory days. Welding, hammering and torch cutting being done at breakfast and lunch and guests separated from these activities by only a plastic tarp! Wood privacy screens between ground floor rooms are rotted out and are a danger to children especially. Also annoying to be eating in reef restaurant and confronted by endless parade of non-guests carrying pots of rice. etc who only rent space in cabanas. Makes it seem like any public beach. The room rate should insulate you from such non-guests.

It was a good stay at camayan beach resort. The only downfall is the kind of breakfast they served. Only few choices to choose from aside from being cheap menu courses for an 8k+ a day booking. However, I love the beach, the pool and the room.

Stayed in deluxe room besides the pool. Our room was spacious and great! Beach water was clear, you can see small fishes swimming with you. Food at the restaurant was good but a bit pricy. Restaurant staff were courteous and helpful. We saw a few monkeys around. Water on pool was warm.

Pro near manila, cold comfy bed clean towels flood free parking,clean pool.even on storm signal 2 not that windy and sea wave not that bad since its located in a Bay. Cons are outdated CR the bathtub and sink are not easy to use if your below 5 feet five.pool is small 3 feet shallow and 5 ft at its deepest not good for kids 5 year old and ypunger. Beach is ROCKY ,buffet breakfast is so so was expecting more free parking is not covered so your car get really hot under the sun. No other recreation in the resort and resort situated far from the main commercial areas of subic.

Family place

For families and kid-friendly. Sand and water is clean. Pool is heated. Monkeys can be seen in the wild so careful not to leave food even chips outside rooms. They dont give room service water and food served are in non-glass containers.

Clean ang secured beach. Staffs were very accommodating and friendly.

The ambiance is okay. Its quite and clean. the restaurant is great. i love the music there. Foods are really great and worth the price.

I stayed in this hotel before and recommended it. This time, I paid a higher price for the older rooms which was a complete disappointment. Upon check in, we were directed to the room in the old building. When we arrived there, the room number was not as was indicated on the key (room 2211 vs. Key G211). Went back downstairs and asked a staff. We were directed to the new building. Arriving at the 2nd floor of the new building, the room numbers were also different. Asked again another staff and was directed to go back to the old building! The room showed it's age! This is not worth the price I paid. The room smelled, the bathroom, furnitures and the floors were dirty!

Excellent staff

An update of room facilities would be nice (i.e. new shower heads, better water heating, fix door locks). A heated pool would also be great. Staff service is commendable. All of them were attentive, courteous, and helpful; special mention to the restaurant wait staff.

Upon check in, our first impression was the receptionist entering the office and slamming the door in our faces as we were walking right behind her. They only give you one key per room, so by goodness you’d better not separate from your husband! WiFi issues constantly. Always signs you out, and it’s spotty at best. The bathroom was constantly full of flies, ants and cockroaches. BIG COCKROACHES. The rest of the room seemed to be plagued by tiny ants, and the occasional cockroach. We had the room sprayed twice in two days and it didn’t seem to help at all. There is a crust of mud and hair in the corners of the room, as obviously this space has never been deep cleaned. The tile shows this as well. When we first entered room the floor was covered in sand and I had to take a hotel towel and ‘sweep’ it out myself. The hotel is extremely far from anything. It’s a 35-40 minute $500 peso ride to town, if you get a cab driver that doesn’t try to overcharge you. The only thing this hotel has going for it, is the beach. We had a bottom floor room in front of the pool (which is LOUD 24/7) but the view was nice to the ocean. We also swam the buoy lines and the lifeguards were extremely helpful and kind letting us extend beyond that out swimming area to the flag, and dock-so we didn’t have to do so many laps. Oh and make sure you have $2000 peso only cash for deposit at check in. SURPRISES!

Nice beach front resort

Been going to this resort for 3 years now, this is the first year we stayed overnight. The resort never disappoint me, the service and staff seems to be getting better as years go by. Night time and early morning when the day trippers are gone is truly wonderful.

Definitely a very nice hotel to stay.

It's all about getting away to the beach

Some of the facilities are showing their age and may need a few renovations but in general the place gives you your money's worth. The staff are very accommodating and the food on the on-site restaurant is good with generous serving size.

Nice resort with good beach

The rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The beach was clean and the water was calm. The wifi was always going down so that was a little disappointing. For a resort the food was not very good but the staff was excellent.

No Rest Here

My wife and I booked a 3 night stay here from Tuesday until Friday. Check in was quick and simple, no porter to assist with baggage, we were not shown our room and had to find it ourselves. There were no room service menu in the room, and we had to call the front desk and ask for one to be delivered to us. The bed was very comfortable but the room and bathroom was not clean at all and felt dirty. On the last night of our stay we were woken at midnight by the movements of what sounded like furniture, once this subsided at around 2:00am we were woken again at 0300hrs by loud Drumming and the noise of Generators running which continued until 0800hrs. I rang reception at 0300 to inquire about the loud drumming and was told it was a TV show being filmed at the resort, I asked if they could stop the Nosie as we were trying to sleep, only to be told that the filming would continue and they would see if they could have it turned down. It never got turned down and this Drumming continued until 0800hrs without stopping. We went to reception for checkout and asked to speak to the manager as we wanted to submit a formal complaint about the lack of noise and which caused us to be awake all night – so much for enjoying a peaceful and relaxing getaway. We were then informed that there was no manager on site at all – how unprofessional is Camayan Beach Resort to have a resort full of guests and no manager on site to handle any issues. the beach, food and room is great. super bad customer service!!! we booked for 4 adults and 2 kids but they still asked us to pay for the kids. the next dayvwe went to go snorkeling and we found out that we have to rent out a table 450 pesos for 3 hours or a small nipa hut for 1,500 per day. seriously these are ameneties that a checked in guest should be able to use for free. btw, wifi is not free... they only allow one gadget to be connected per person, if you want to connect another gadget then you will have to pay and its not even working. if they can charge you for the air that you breath they would.

Going to the hotel at night is not recimmended. We came frim an event frim the town proper and finished kinda late. The ling road going to the hotel is too dark and somehow dangerous - no light posts, signage are very minimal and hard to notice. If in case something happens to you or there be an emergency,, i will not be surprised if one will never come back or chose the hotel for future bookings. No security or safety features that will help you aling the way. Upon check-in, i was not attended to right away even though the guest who checked-in ahead of me was finished already and i was the only one in front after that guest. I was waiting for the front desk staff to attend to me and i need to ask the staff if they are free to attend to me. Restaurant staff are inattentive. A little more training will help to polish their service. On a positive note, the special set-up for the birthday of my son was in the room and we were assigned the first room nearest the entrance which made it convenient for my mom so she do not have to walk a few more meters to get to the room. Thank you for the 1 hour later check-out though. Overall it was a nice short stay. Simple or not so fancy room but clean.
