I love Marriott Cali, the best hotel in town

For sure the worst Marriot in Colombia and probably in Latam. The walls seems made of paper. You can hear everything from the room next door. The breakfast took more than an hour to order from the menu because they did not have all the ingredients. Literally they told us they have to go to the supermarket to prepare our breakfast. We carried heavy luggage but they did not have bellboy since COVID. I do not know why they are a Marriott. They should be a Hampton Inn or even lower. Overpriced!

Excelente facilidades y excelente atención. Atención de calidad de parte del restaurante, allí está Edilson, quien siempre está atento de los más mínimos detalles, realmente me siento en casa cada vez que voy, también a Gabriel quien siempre tiene una sonrisa y un deseo de servir impecablemente. Al resto del equipo en la cocina que se esmera por preparar comida de calidad con un variado buffet y menú. A las chicas que atienden cuando uno llega a comer, siempre bien vestidas y amables para dar la bienvenida. A los muchachos del front desk que siempre son serviciales y atentos a los más mínimos detalles. A la seguridad que resguarda la propiedad, ellos que siempre están atentos cumpliendo con su labor. Por último no el menos importante, a aquellos que limpian las habitaciones, que lo hacen con esfuerzo y con un sentido de detalles, las sábanas perfectamente puestas y limpias, el baño limpio con pulcritud, y el resto de la habitación que es arreglada. Gracias a todos por hacerme sentir en casa.

great customer service, front desk staff, Gabriel at the restaurant helps to provide a good experience. very attentive, perhaps only negative that took long x pple to answer the phone in the reception. very happy with service n acomodación. best service from Hamilton, our driver from the hotel. shame couldn't give good recognition at the hotel, according to recepcion its a third party and not related to the hotel. very strange, since we contacted him through the hotel, Marriott should evaluate n value their service. Hamilton provided exceptional service above n beyond, different from the other 2 drivers we had.

I show them expedia reservation they told me it was not real and i had to pay twice.

I had a disappointing experience while using the property's airport pickup service. There was nobody waiting for me and my team at the airport, and when I finally found the Marriott driver, she was in the wrong terminal.

It's the best hotel in Cali

We were incredibly disappointed by the staff and service at this hotel, particularly the staff in the restaurant and front desk staff. The restaurant is not only completely understaffed and under-resourced but the staff that IS there is not attentive at aL. In addition, the hotel seems to prioritize non-hotel guests for seating so we often had to wait to get a table and the supposed” free breakfast buffet” which was included in our rate had no food left on two occasions. We also tried having drinks and lite food at night in the restaurant and again, no staff and poor service. As for the front desk, we were greeted on the night of our arrival by a gentleman that clearly just didn’t want to be there. He was rude and snapped at us when we asked about the restaurant hours. Marriott Cali which is supposed to be one of the city’s best hotels was a big disappointment unfortunately.

Nice and comfortable

The TV did not work and never came to fix it. we have to ask for a blow dryer and iron. we call at 6:00am and they show up after I went down stairs around 9:00am we ask to remove a roller bed that was never used and never did... we try to call for room service and we are still waiting to someone pick up the phone. The worst place ever.

NIGHT CONCIERGE FRAUD ME FOR 200 dollars when my room was booked already and I left a day earlier.

Overall experience was good. Comfortable beds and pillow like you would expect from the Marriott.

I was there for the weekend and my ax wasn't working at all they move till 2 am into a new room , the pool was out of service, the ac inside the lobby wasn't working. The sushi bar wasn't open no notice I asked for a credit and didn't get a response. Very dissatisfaction

Where to stay in Cali for the Feria Celebration!

This was just a few days stayed; and everything was excellent and comfortable.

We being chased by the staff asking us what room we are outside of the hotel...after we told them no we are not checking out he still ask for room number... elevators...there is a line everyday to reprogram the key... it happened every day to us that we have to do that... Breakfast on weekends....eventhough we were eligibile for breakfast on 8th floor ...there was no lounge working... Downstairs no place to eat cus local people coming to eat .... Probably the worst Marriot experience globally since we travel globally... I called the hotel manager to tell that we were chased by the front desk people outside although we were not checking out, she never called back and never followed. Beautiful facility and absolute the worst complete staff ever in Marriott...We definitely will be looking for different property for us and our employees. Cleaning crue did a good job managing our suite so they were exception

Would Not recommend this hotel - Marriott Cali

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff was nice and it was a descent neighborhood, however it wasn't what I expected. There was a very small pool in the lobby that could hold maybe 5 persons and a lounge chair, the pool was ice cold. The breakfast that was included was horrible, they advertise multiple restaurants but its really one. The food is not that tasty and hardly any native food.

Other then having to be wanded for weapons everytime you came into the hotel by an abrupt and curt security woman the hotel was fine if not underwhelming. I would advise staying clear of Cali altogether if you have the option. Medellin is a WAY better option to explore.

My first time in Cali, Colombia and enjoyed my stay. The food was amazing. The staff was incredible! Had a problem with my flight and had to stay another day. The staff and management accommodated me. I thought that was great considering it wasn’t their fault my flight was changed. Definitely coming back and staying in the Cali Marriott.

Really good hotel for a short stay but pay attention to if the city is under quarantine when you arrive there.

Hotel is in nice location for nightlife and dining. Security was high due to national football team staying at hotel which made me feel better about my choice. Had an issue with water leaking from room above. Getting a new room was a lot more difficult than it should have been.

Oh man this place is a waste of money it’s out of the way of the main things to do in Cali they have a sad pool couldn’t use spa services on Valentine’s Day didn’t take care of bags. THEY DENIED MY FLOWERS TO BE DELIVERED. Didn’t pick up the phone when I called 15 times and one time picked up and left it off the hook!? When I finally got through they were rude. The rooms are way smaller than the square footage they said online. I know there’s better options I should have gone to intercontinental. It’s laughable that they still have 5 stars honestly had to wait 20 minutes for breakfast because they said they were going to let paid visitors go first. I could go on and on.

I like how nice the staff was an how they spoke a little English I didn’t like the fact that the lady at the front desk wanted to let customers skip because she felt like she knew them an they spoke Spanish after standing in the line for 20 minutes just to check in.

I arrived late at night and room service was closed and there was no bottled water in the room.

All the staff was great! My Spanish is a little rusty, but they were patient and helped me with the things I needed.

Rooms were very clean, Staff was nice... Breakfast was complimentary & good.

Some of the staff was not up to the standards of a Marriott hotel. I experienced too many negative issues at my stay. Bad housekeeping, room service did not pick up the phone, the night shift guard at the underground parking lot very rude and ofensive.

Awesome Cali Hotel

The Hotel is just as you would expect a Marriott Hotel to be. The only think that bothered me a little is the fact, that service is so slow and other than the people at the reception, no one speaks english. I asked where I could find water at breakfast and the poor girl ran away scared... but as I mentioned, just as a Marriott hotel should be: great rooms, comfy beds and really good food. Be sure to try the sushi in the lobby! In comparison with other hotels in Cali, this is heaven.

Comfort in Cali

Clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, safe and quiet location. Nice gym and great, tasty breakfast in hotel. We were charged taxes at checkout and we are USA citizens. The guy that checked us out up at the front said that we had to pay this due to “ a new law that just passed”.. However, all the other hotels that we stayed at over our two week visit traveling around Columbia did not add this tax charge of approximately $30 per night on to room charges so this seems to be fabricated. It is recommended that you address this issue before you check in.

Love staying at this hotel. Not only is it clean, well located and modern but the staff goes above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We are a vegan/vegetarian family with a 5 year old who has severe allergies. All the staff is aware and makes sure we are able to eat well and without any issues. The chefs make all meals for my daughter from scratch to ensure there is no cross contamination with her allergies. On the top floor there is a jacuzzi which is very nice to enjoy at night. Love this hotel we have always stayed here when visiting cali and we will return.

If it weren’t for the maid stealing our IPad, I would give this hotel a higher rating as the room was clean, quiet, with very comfortable beds. However, we realized that we left our Apple IPad in the room after checkout. When we called the hotel that early evening to talk to the hotel front desk, they said that nothing was turned in to them by the cleaning lady. We called again the next day to double check, and the Ipad was still not taken up to the front desk. What is even more annoying is that we had left a tip for her, and, apparently she decided to keep the Ipad for an extra tip. The manager did nothing about this. If you decide to stay here, double check your room thoroughly before you check out as some of the staff is dishonest.

There is a security guard at the entrance and the hotel is very safe. The surrounding security is not bad. There is downtown nearby and you can enjoy a night meal outside. There is a shopping mall nearby so it is convenient for shopping.

Excellent hotel located in the north west side of Cali. Nice area to go and walk around during the day. With little boutiques and restaurants. The hotel itself is very clean and modern. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The only thing we didn’t like was the main pool. It’s on the main level and rarely gets any sun so it’s cold and not very comfortable as it is right by a restaurant. Also we feel the hotel is lacking a few more vegan friendly options on their menu.

Security Was Intense and Made us Feel Unwelcomed

The hotel is modern and up to standards. The spa was amazing, very courteous and attentive. The breakfast buffet was good. However, the customer service did not meet expectations and the security was very intense. Before entering the parking lot the officer and dog search the car. Then, upon entering the hotel there's a metal detector scan and a dog that sniffs your purse. We were repeatedly asked what we were doing there, even though we were customers, and others were not even questioned. Then, upon leaving, we needed to wait for an attendant to finish talking to a guy on a motorcycle. We could not go around them. I would rather spend my money where I feel welcomed and treated as a guest.

The hotel was clean, the staff was very pleasant, and the hotel felt safe.

The only problem which wasnt really a problem was that i would have like just king bed, not 2 twins. The staff friendlyness and service was outstanding. Would definitely stay there again.

Staff was inexperienced and lacked respect . Restaurant staff never give you what uve asked for and u need to keep telling them the same thing over and over again untill u finally give up and leave ! Entering the hotel is like entering a prison! Just ridiculous!

The property is nice, however, is a shame the way is managed, they are so cheap! Unable to grant upgrades even when you have status and the rooms are available, they charge you for literally EVERYTHING, they tried to even up sell breakfast. Management is literally missing, I had a horrible incident one day with a front desk agent who escorted me out the breakfast lounge because my reservation didn’t include breakfast, I asked for a Manager and there was no manager on duty! I’ve never heard of that. This hotel does not represent Marriott well at all, is such a shame, as the property is really nice and boutique. It would be way better if they wouldn’t be so cheap and the staff had better customer service training. I must say, however, there is one girl on the concierge floor, wish I remembered her name, she was amazing, she knew my name, and was extremely attentive, of the entire staff was like her, this property will be 7 stars.

Great location, the suite with the aditional room is great, my view was not amazing but cool. The service at 8th floor qhen you buy the executive level acces is very good. A choice of drinks, feel private and the terrace is great there. I definitely recommend it.

The Hotel was close to a mall with easy access to money exchange. The facilities were nice and the breakfast was diverse and tasted great. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Property is really nice, but the employees make it bad. Service is EXTREMELY SLOW!!! Get ready to be treated as a criminal, before you walk in a dog needs to smells you and your luggage while another person scans you with a metal detector, I was charged for an upgrade to use the facilities of the concierge floor, yet, the jacuzzi was closed. The restaurant takes over 30 min for the simplest dish and i was being charged snacks from the mini bar i didn't consumed and had to argue after 30 min trying to check and it was removed. - If they change the ppl the property will be really nice.

I normally do not leave reviews but I thought that this hotel deserved one. I stayed in 3 different hotels while in Cali including the Intercontinental and Spiwak and the Cali Marriott exceeded them in every area. This is the hotel I will definitely book when returning to Cali.

First time in Cali, overall the experience at the Hotel was good. The service was OK, to be honest I am a good tipper and always sympathize with the waiters, but to be honest most of them, did not deserve it. Not happy with the service. The food was excellent.

Very Friendly hotel members

I enjoyed staying Cali Marriott Hotel and I wanted to give perfect score, but I gave their service as 4. It because I got an offer from Hotel staff at the time of check-in, that if I did upgrade our hotel stay, it comes with breakfast and 2 alcohol drinks at the bar per day without knowing about "Ley Seca". Well, we checked-in on Thursday for 5 nights so I checked out Tuesday. "Ley Seca" is no alcohol from Saturday to Monday so basically we couldn't get the service. It only applied on Thursday night and Friday night, but not the rest of 3 days. First 2 days, we were busy and back to hotel late so we didn't have our drinks, but we could get another 3 nights. BUT we couldn't have the service due to "Ley Seca". Hotel staff should tell us about it and I could decide to upgrade or not. Just it was disappointing they didn't tell us honestly because it wasn't cheap to upgrade without drinks. Well, I could have soft drink, water, or coffee, but not the same. However, everyone was very friendly and nice. I would go back to the same hotel so they would tell us if they cannnot give us the service.
