Comfortable clean cozy

Stayed at the Cactus Tree Inn in mid January. When we walked in the window was open and heat wasn’t on. Room was frigid. Turned the heat on, but there was no thermostat so it was either full blast heat or no heat at all. The bathroom door had a ‘C’ shape cut out of it so it could open and accommodate for the toilet. Dirty yogurt lid left beside coffee maker. Motel is dated which is fine, but it’s also run down and needs a deep clean.

Price wasn't more than expected once already booked after it said price is exact. Okay place

I had to leave earlier due to a health issue. Left and sent a text prior to the office beeing open. They did not give me any of refund . Not impressed

Check in was good- all we needed for one night.

The room was clean and comfortable and looked like it had new furniture and carpets. Bed was comfortable and our room was quiet. There are two barbecues for guest use. (We didn't use them). There are a few restaurants that you can easily walk to. We used the self check-in which was very easy. We received a text each day asking if we needed anything to help our stay. We would stay here again.

Great value for the nightly rate. Clean, quiet, comfortable with great HDTV and variety of sport channels.

No outside lights by our room and stairs. Junky area by our room. Rental bikes in the parking spot by our room. In the bathroom, baseboards were missing or damaged. Toilet paper holder was poorly secured and coming out of the wall. Loose towel rack. Bedding was clean but very starchy, to the point we were very itchy.

I liked the ease of check in for after hours.

Walking distance to events. Check in and out was quick and easy. Staff were friendly and helpful

Friendly staff

The desk clerk had to be summoned when we checked in, the process was cursory and we were told he would not be available for checkout purposes. In addition,the keypad to the room didn't work very well. ("Just jiggle the door".) and we were unable to lock the room when we left.There were overflowing bins of garbage adjacent to the stairwell, and the entire property seemed shabby and neglected.

The room is not too clean. It should be make more clean especially the beddings.

Clean and room was nice

Clean, comfortable and quiet rooms; clean pool; great little outside sitting area with barbecues available for guest use.Good water pressure in the rooms we have used.

Place was clean but its very run down. Holes in the wall where a headboard used to be and the bathroom door had a notch cut in it so that it could close as the toulet was in the way. Needs a major overhaul.

Overall good place to stay. Nothing fancy but did the trick and good location. Managment not onsite is a little weird but didnt matter much.

Did not have ice. Plus staff only around for 5 hours, so unable to get assistance when needed.

The staff work odd hours but it’s auto check in and coded doors so you don’t really miss them. Pool was cool , yard was clean. It was a very simple place nothing fancy but the price was excellent and the bbq area was A bonus. Especially with a superstore next door. Fast food next door as well.The hotel itself is within 3 km of wineries and 10 km to the black sage bench.

Really enjoyed the outdoor pool. Room was clean and comfortable. Close to shopping and dining within walking distance. Great price!

Stay was good overall. Pool was refreshing after a long day on the Motorcycle. Rooms are air conditioned and the shower gets you clean. You have to be checked in by a specified time which wasn’t ideal. Close to restaurants, one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. Again, good overall, quiet and hospitable.

When my husband and I booked the room it said 2 queen... then when we walked in it was only one.... to our surprise there was another bedroom, which was super cool because we had 2 young kids... the only problem with that room is it is super hot... the room is actually really nice... The only nagitive thing i have to say about the room is i dont think the shower was fully cleaned, there was garbage left from the previous people.

Rooms were clean. AC worked very well. Host was very helpful, friendly and cared about the property. Pool was open and clean.

The pool cleaning staff starts at 10 am...which means the weather is too hot to clean the pool; but they do get on it by 9 pm, when the temperature has cooled a little. The pool then closes. It has been an overnight stop point for us for 2 years in a row. This is our last year. The kitchen cabinet reno is so unprofessional. The room does not present well...old, old, old. Good luck in the future.

We were here for a quick get away, was nice room, well air conditioned and quite central to everything. Good stay.

Basic hotel. Convenient location in Oliver. Contactless experience as the staff will text you the room code. Pretty. Quiet area.

Like the couple running the place. They were personable and friendly. The place was acceptable for the price I paid. Would stay again.

Needs to improve the cleanliness. The toilet bowl was with stain marks.

The locks were broken of the washroom. The bedsheets were dirty. Not at all would recommend this.

Everything was tip-top, management was very helpful and the little pool was great ! We come every year for cherry picking and we will keep this place in mind !

The folks at Cactus Tree keep their rooms very clean and comfortable. The grounds are very well kept as well, a place to BBQ that looked really clean. Very quiet and had a good nights sleep. Good price!! I would stay here again in a heartbeat

need more maintence work in bathroom, shower curtin very dirty, pooor housekeeping very dirty bathroom and bed top sheets very dirty.

A wee bit noisy as the walls of the rooms are a little thin.

I was greeted by the front desk attendant with a smile and nice salutation. The motel room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable - had a great sleep. There were some upgrades done in the bathroom and a fairly new vanity sink. Although there was a coffee station, it would have been nice to have drinking glasses. This is an older motel, but it is well maintained. I will stay there again!

The cactus tree was a super pleasant surprise, more than we had hoped for at this price point. Well appointed suite , big soaker tub , very clean and tidy.

Only minor issue the room was 30degrees and took a while to cool.

Generally good accommodation, about what you would expect for the cost. Walls are a bit thin but aside from that, everything was fine.

Nice little hotel. Parking lot is small. And they wouldn't do a late checkout so if you are doing something in town, you will want to consider that.

I liked everything. I heard from my family when they stayed there, everything was good. Management is friendly.

The location was good for my purposes, and I really liked the combination lock for the door so that they could text me all that I needed to get in as soon as the room was ready, and I didn't have to return anything to check out. What I didn't like was the crowded parking lot that was hard (but necessary) to turn around in with a bike rack on the back of my car. But I don't they can do anything about that...

Won’t stay there again

The room had a weird smell, the baseboards and corners of the room hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. I went to use the coffee maker and it had burnt coffee in the button of the pot and an old, dried up coffee filter. Obviously hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. They had a note to wash the dishes, but no dish soap in the room. The 20 inch tv was on a dresser at the foot of the bed, next to a fridge. Weird to have a fridge right at the front door. The under cabinet fridge was out of order, so I guess adding a fridge to the dresser wall was the solution. Stairs leading the the second floor were slanted. One bank of stairs has been rebuilt, but they should have fixed the whole set. The motel was just run down and dirty. Our room felt like they may have kicked out a permanent resident for the weekend to rent it out. There was an event in Oliver, so prices were inflated.

I liked that there was a small but well-equpped kitchenette. There could have been some simple instruction for operating the TV but I finally figured it out. Not a high-end accommodation but certainly adequate. Very helpful staff. Easy to find too.

Size of room, cleanliness, pressure in shower. Also general cleanliness and helpful manager. Forgot chargers and they had collected them and set aside. Recommend.

Bathroom was not very clean and badly needs renovation. First night was very noisy. Heat/AC unit was very loud and disrupted sleep

My room looked recently renovated and had a separate shower and bathtub with jets.

This will be my preference on my next stay in the area

Lovely room, nice and clean and very comfortable bed. I enjoyed the soaker tub but did not use the jets due to late hour not wanting to disturb anyone below our room. My hubby also remarked on the nice hot shower! We were surprised to have REAL coffee cups and not styrofoam cups. The only negative note would be that the TV would not turn on but due to the late hour, we did not worry about it. Would stay there again if the need arose.

Week-end Get Away

For an older complex, it has been kept in good condition and was clean and quiet. Close to all amenities such as shopping and restaurants.

It’s the perfect place if you are interested in visiting the wine district. Air conditioned, clean and safe.

This is a decent place to stay, if you are not looking for something fancy. Me, my husband and my 8 konths old baby stayed for 2 nights and we have no complaints. The room was clean. Overall we had a great time there

Very nice clean room right in town with a great pool with loungers and fresh towels to beat the hot summer weather. Loved my stay!

Nice place, but the Expedia description wasn’t entirely accurate. We paid for a King when only a Queen was available. Also, we wish we’d known that there is a skylight above the jacuzzi tub that wakes you up early. Note: if you’re traveling in areas without cell service you’ll risk not receiving the text with room number and entry code when checking in late.

The staff are absolutely amazing. They made are stay great.

It was very dated. The rooms were not very sound proof. There was a dog next door that had a very LOUD whine. Also the office wasn't open until 9 am, which was inconvenient for earlier check out - not everyone has cell phones to text when they are checking out.

Dirty washcloth on the shower curtain when arrived, really loud, no insulation between rooms, when the room upstairs showered I actually checked my bathroom for leaks. It was convenient as I was travelling through, but no one in the office after 6 pm so check in was digital. Air conditioning was nice and quiet.

Poor service, the room was rough with burn holes in bed covers, dripping taps, broken coffee machine, additional 30$ charge for dirty dishes, also started as dog friendly and changed 1 month after reservation was booked. Will never stay here again and will share with others.
