The property was great. The people were wonderful. We had a concierge's name was Willie. He was wonderful and took great care of us. The service around the pool was amazing as well as at the beach if you wanna be cared for it's a great place. We're going back soon

Wonderful all inclusive! Felt very safe, there are staff cleaning constantly, and the food in all of the restaurants is absolutely delicious! Booking through Expedia gives you your own concierge, we had Ramone who was an absolute delight. He checked in with us every day to make sure we were enjoying our stay and offered assistance with whatever we needed. He even arranged for a happy birthday banner and sent a mini birthday cake for my friend who was celebrating! All of the staff are friendly and welcoming - but Adrian in the restaurant was extra fun and engaging, and Yohan at the beach bar makes the most delicious drinks and is always singing and smiling. The beach was gorgeous, the pools were clean, the grounds were beautiful, the spa was relaxing, and the vibe was perfection. Will definitely return one day!

Pros: friendly staff, short waits for drinks and food, variety of facilities was excellent, beautiful beach, fun entertainment, incredible food (Culinaria restaurant was our absolute favourite!) and the buffet was always good Cons: even though there are signs saving saving chairs is prohibited, they were always covered in towels early each morning and it was a struggle to find someplace to sit, we even saw a fight on our last day over chair. Remote location but not a dealbreaker. We did a scuba/snorkelling trip to Saona Island which was amazing but they ran out of food at lunch (all I managed to get was rice) and the only booze options on the boat were rum or beer. There was also only beer and rum in the room and it was difficult to get other options. We also got a swim up room which we did not use the pool at all as it faced the back of the resort (very isolated); wish we would have known beforehand as we wouldn’t have booked that type of room. Overall, a great stay. The staff were fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for a better week of weather with great food and drinks.

Property was very nice, clean, the food was good (especially having access to the Xhale Club package). Staff was very kind and accommodating. Entertainment was excellent and the beach was perfect.

Hopefully you’re lucky enough to have Janna as your concierge. She responded to all of our requests quickly via WhatsApp. We’d also like to give a special shout out to Yohan out at the beach bar. They really show you the true friendliness of the people of DR. and make a difference during your stay. Personally we recommend the buffet over the specialty restaurants. There’s a wide variety of food and it has some Dominican food, if that’s what you’re after.

We stayed on the Xhale side because that was all that was available. So not worth the extra money, we had a “hot tub” on our balcony that was disgusting. It had rust everywhere and looked like a tetnis shot waiting to happen. Every morning the chairs were all “reserved” by the pools. I don’t understand how properties allow this. Not once was I able to get a chair at any of the pools unless I was up at 7am putting my towel out. The property should really ban this behavior. The food was mediocre, and the staff was not the friendliest. They charged us an extra $800 to allow my husband to stay with me in my room at exhale, I accidentally put one person on our reservation. (I also had a room on the Allure side for 2 ppl for my son). I had an upgraded swim up room on that side so the cost was similar to Xhale. The guy checking us in said he’d drop it down to $600 then $400 if we took care of him with a tip. The whole operation was shady. I would never ever stay here again. Our concierge girl was really nice and probably the only niceness of this place. Other than that stay anywhere else. The party pool was loud well into the night. The Xhale side is quieter.

The bartender Angelo and Manuel were so friendly, accommodating, and fun! Bill, who works for guest services was amazing. The only negative thing I have to say is the loud music at night. If you wanted to go to bed early it was difficult. But overall the resort and staff were absolutely amazing!

I loved the service and staff. I felt the çareand professionalism of the entire staff. I thought Roy went above and beyond for me and my wife, whom happens to be disabled in her limited ability to walk, I thought more signs could be applied for direction to various places for the disabled, but I definitely have plans to return. Food choices were outstanding.

Alcohol being inclusive was the best part of this vacation. Next would be treat Coca-Cola related products were available. Stocking of the minibar was ok. They included 1 small bottle of rum for 3 people for 5 nights. Most other aspects of the trip were a bust. The shower was the best part of the room. The beds were too firm. The jacuzzi tub was very small. (Only able to fit 1 person in it) the restaurants were very inconsistent. We frequented some of the restaurants more than once due to lack of options. The breakfast buffet for example on different days had different quality of fruits. The best foods were ones we could see them cook in front of us. Many signs around the property are missing letters. We were approached multiple times on the beach by people who wanted to sell us things or services. The beach is nice and the sand is soft. The staff is not gay friendly. We chose this resort because it is listed multiple times as an LGBT friendly location. I would NEVER recommend anyone who is LGBT to stay here. The staff was observed being friendly to other guests but when we asked for things like drinks they gave us short, dismissive responses. The resort also seemed annoyed we didn’t want to book any excursions with them. They consistently questioned why there were 3 men in 1 room. The spa was rundown. Multiple showers in the hydrotherapy circuit were non-functional. The massage was average quality but expensive for the services given. (Even with our coupon)

Breathless is a very beautiful place… The service was great and the people are so welcoming. The stay itself was good, housekeeping was amazing and everyone was very accommodating, however the food was not good! From the room service to the restaurants. The variety is good but the food lacks flavor. This place is too expensive to not be able to provide quality meals.

I had a wonderful time with my mother. Everyone was kind and helpful. Thank you to the staff for an amazing time! The shows were perfect and the food was delicious!

This Breathless was just ok. Compared to the Breathless properties I've visited, this one was underwhelming. Registration was very slow. Limited service poolside, water bottles were not screwed on which lead us to believe they were reused, food was bland, limited Dominican food options daily, room toiletry bottles were open already, the gym was mediocre (free weights area could use an upgrade), and the Xhale experience was not worth the upgrade. I actually felt like i was being hustled for upgrade because prices kept changing during my 2 hour registration ordeal. Will not return and do not recommend this Breathless

The attention to detail was incredible – they even surprised me with a thoughtful birthday treat in my room. The accommodations were impeccable: clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The dining experience was a highlight, with delicious food and outstanding service. The team truly made me feel like a VIP throughout my stay. The staff at the resort have a HUGE language barrier that made it very difficult to communicate with. We had a room with a hot tub on the balcony that walked out to a pool and there were maintenance people hanging around from a distance looking in the direction of our hot tub every time we were out there. Not sure what they were doing but we ended up going back inside and closing our curtains. The resort was very clean and the staff was always smiling and nice, but when it came to communicating with them it was a bit of a problem due to language barriers. We enjoyed the buffet & the French restaurant but were not impressed with the Italian or International restaurants. We did not try the others, we went back to the French restaurant 3 times because it was so yummy! Overall it was a nice stay. The beach was beautiful, the pools were clean and not super crowded, the room service was amazing, and our room got cleaned everyday. We also enjoyed the mini bar bringing by drinks/snacks each morning to refill our room!

The shower was either really hot or cold. In the middle of the night our room had a huge leak and water was everywhere. Just expected more of the resort.

Very friendly staff and accessible. We weren't a fan of all the vendors on the beach. We were constantly asked to buy things or take pictures.

We stayed 5 nights, had to move room 2 times nowhere near our traveling companions due to our first rooms ceiling starting to fall in over the beds and the second time due to our room flooding. We were even further away (3 buildings) from our friends. The room we ended up in had a king bed and everything else pushed to one side of the room to bring in a double bed to accommodate our original room that was picked. Very inconvenient, very agitating, it took away from our much anticipated trip!

The resort was good, check in was great, the rooms were great, the bar areas were poorly attended, the food was average. Booking an excursion was terrible! Book outside the resort and avoid Bill Scott, they scam you into helping you and do everything but that. Trick you into an almost 2-hour presentation and waste your vacation time all whilst eating breakfast first thing in the morning. They tell you doing this will help they get $50.00 just filling out a survey that's a trap. Silk city was a waste of time. You are rushed during the eating experience. The hibachi was terrible. Do not expect to get drinks while eating, they ask you what you want to drink as soon as you sit down and then never come back with the beverage. May times we left without getting a drink and they expected a tip. Overall ok but would not recommend or go back.

The property was very nice and things were really clean.

The property doesn't have a crisp look. The hot tub didn't work, there was brown liquid leaking under a lot of the walking areas, and the rooms were not cleaned good.

We enjoyed our stay at this resort. The food was very good and a lot of variety, especially enjoyed the steak at the Blue Water restaurant. The rooms very nice and clean. Multiple pools on the property. Good friendly people at the resort. All the staff at the resort was very hard working, nice, and helpful.

The resort is very plain. Rooms have no invite to them, just tan walls. House keepers were ok when they showed up. Food is okay. Same stuff everyday. The coffee shop was not 24 hours like it says. Entertainment is what you would expect from an all inclusive. Very slippery walk ways. My sister and I both fell in the hallway. It was nice sitting on the beach but every 10 minutes someone was bugging you to buy something. We ended up staying at pool most days. I would not stay here again

Great resort

Everything was great! TV was very confusing and fan was extremely noisy. Got into a verbal altercation and security did not handle well! But, didn’t let that upset my stay! Employees are very nice!!!

Janna and Miguel, our VIP concierge that were assigned to us because we booked through Expedia, were fantastic people. Very hospitable and always were there to help me when I needed it. Always kept me in the loop and made me feel included at the resort. Definitely will remember them and many of the other amazing people in the staff that served me.

Property was beautiful. Food was great & having access to Breathless & Dreams for the price of one was a great experience!

I would recommend staying at Breathless, but with a few things to note. Grounds and Facilities -- All excellent. The staff keeps everything in great shape. The room was spacious and clean, the Jacuzzi tub on the room balcony was a great surprise that is not advertised. Nice looking restaurants, chic bars, and fun snack shacks. Food and Drink -- for an all inclusive it was very impressive. Some restaurants were better than others, the French Restaurant was particularly good. Cocktails were neither too strong or watered down, and they will make you whatever you like if you are specific. The poolside Barefoot Grill was perfect for lunch every single day I was there, I looked forward to it. Staff and Service -- This is where things get complicated. We are a gay male couple, and there were quite a few staff members who were rude about this. We were whistled at several times and repeatedly asked "oh, you must be brothers..." only to be met with ugly or uncomfortable looks when we politely responded "no." This is the only complaint I have, but is a serious one for a resort that greets you at the door with the phrase "Welcome Home." Outside of that, the service there is excellent. Some staff are enthusiastically friendly (do tip them well, it is deserved) and frequently came by to refill our drinks or hand out cold water bottles. The burrito cart, wow. Turndown service and room service are excellent. Side Note -- if you are a gambler the small onsite casino is excellent.

Room 4294 hot tube didn’t work

Enjoyed the activities at the resort. Loved the swim up feature and the room itself. Miguel was our concierge and did an exceptional job. He was there to answer all of question and provide support when needed.

Well kept, nice landscape, lots of space to find seatings at the pool , beach , lobby area, entertainment areas. Staff friendly for the most part. LOVED the Eteam .. shows were good. Janna and Miguel were our butler and they were fabulous. I would rank this a 4 star resort .

Property staff and kitchen personnel spoke very little english. Electricity went out during check-in and checkout, making it very frustrating.

Our biggest disappointment was the missing concierge. Second issue was the mini bar. All you get is one bottle of rum and beer. We asked for ice machine repeatedly and never was given an answer. No one there to advice of daily schedule or activities. Room service took over and hour and the menu was very limited. Several restaurants were not open and nobody advised us ahead of time. No slippers were given with robes.

Property at Breathless and Dreams were very clean and the staff was always pleasant. Staying on Xhale side was really nice as you had a personal concierge to help schedule things that you may otherwise not know about. (Dinner, Excursions, Spa etc) Overall, the daily activities and service were 10 out of 10. I will be coming back.

The Property is very nice. Check in takes to long. The Hot Tubs have no hot water and the showers have just luke warm. The Hot tubs on the balcony have no hot water as well which is disappointing as you upgrade to xhale to have these features.

Five star resort. My only complaint is the pool party everyday between 3-6 pm with 2 extremely large speakers pointed directly at the side where my room was located. At a time of day when I’m coming back from being at the beach and pool all day trying to get some rest and getting ready for dinner and the show. Fortunately, Duery at the front desk was able to change my room further away from the very loud music.

I greatly appreciate the manner in which th desk staff (Gheiddy) handled my reservation mix up. Very professional, timely & efficient
