Went for our honeymoon and it was amazing , the staff were very friendly and professional. The food was good and the resort was clean! Def recommend the rooftop bar if you are doing the xhale club, also the butler we had (Travis) top tier service ! He was great! Overall the resort is beautiful, you can also visit the secrets side as well!

Great customer service and beautiful resort. Entertainment could definitely use an improvement. Would absolutely go back. Loved staying at Breathless with the ability to visit sister properties for restaurants and entertainment.

Loved Breathless

Breathless was amazing. Our swim up room was mind blowing and our butlers Roberto & Okiene were very attentive.

Beautiful stay, the staff was amazing the food was great my wife & I loved it ! And the room was beautiful as well as room service til late midnight! Definitely would recommend club 2727 for the younger crowd if you’re looking for a party night!

Like that can utilize the restaurants and pool at the secret's resort also

Absolutely loved this resort! It was very relaxing during the day but definitely able to party at night. But if you wanted to have quiet the parties were not close to the rooms so it was quiet ! The rooms were beautiful!

Breathless resort took my breath away! We had an amazing time celebrating my birthday. From the moment you walk in they treat you like royalty. Our butler Raynard service was impeccable. Highly recommend this resort and Raynard as a butler

We loved our stay at this beautiful, clean and fun property! Every staff we came across was exceptional! Definitely worth the money. VERY decent food also! Mostly all top shelf liquor.

The connection to 3 properties

The access to Secrets St James & Wild Orchid was amazing. Access to the the beach from Secrets was phenomenal. The multiple dining options was great and the warm welcomes from staff did not go unnoticed.

My room had a stinch that smelled of mildew. Room service (cleaning) would turn the. A/C high after cleaning the room. When I would return to my room always freezing. The electric curtains wouldn’t work all the time. Throughout the night the different lights throughout the room would come on by themselves. Food portions were small so you had to order continuously. The People were Great. Doormen Great. Front desk Great.

Breathless has fallen off this was my third time here and prob the worst. The entertainment was just bad it was like 5 people in the lobby each night bc it was so bad. The service here is a mess now. If my DND is on why is housekeeping knocking on the door at 830am??? Also the housekeepers… a mess. I’ve got mad bc the floor was moist from the balcony being open. The room service menu nightly never changes. The mini bar guy was nice. They don’t provide service as good as they used to. Theo our waiter at fishnet was awesome. The rooms need some upkeep this hotel cost tooo much for their to be mold on the floors and walls in xhale club rooms. The showers were a mess several things in our room did not work. They just need a overhaul and desert at Th is point

This property was not up to our standard and what we expected. We didn’t have a working phone, the showe knob was damaged. The bedding was dirty and it was a mildew smell in the room. We complained, they never switched out room as promised.

Very beautiful resort!! Staff were exceptional and all food was excellent. Definitely exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

First, let me preface by saying, I love Jamaica, and this stay has not changed my high regard for JA and it’s people. I was expecting more from Breathless, having gotten married at Secrets resort in 2010, and with at least 4 subsequent stays. It was my first time staying at Breathless. The service was sub-standard. The phone in the room did not work with first day upon arrival. It took multiple phone calls from my personal cellphone and three trips to the front desk to finally get the issue resolved. The technician was wonderful. The room was not well cleaned, as you could still see the soap residue and scum on the shower glass. The day prior to departure, the room was not cleaned at all. My husband informed the housekeeper, who was cleaning two rooms from ours that our room had not been cleaned and we needed fresh towels and wash cloths. She said, she would see what she can do. Letter that evening after, we went to the front desk and requested fresh towels, only to return to an uncleaned room with no clean towels. Frustrated, we decided to endure throughout the night and call in the morning to request clean towels. My husband did, and we finally received some clean hand towels prior to leaving. Overall, very disappointing stay and we have no intention of ever returning to this property. Perhaps they are understaffed. The property has significant deferred maintenance.

Had higher expectations for a resort bearing the Breathless name. To suggest that this is a 5 star option is almost laughable. The literal only justification for it, in my opinion, is the fact that you're granted access the the Secrets properties as well which are of far higher caliber. It wasn't all bad. The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable and there was certainly enough to do around the clock to keep one entertained (not for the faint of heart).. but the resort lacked tremendously both in quality of cuisine and the overall upkeep of the resort.. wooden walkways are rickety and easy to splinter (my wife and I were both knicked by this), tiles in/ around the pool are coming undone, things hung in the hallways are crooked or falling off the walls and just look awful overall, and while the room seems equipped with lots of convenient "techy" updates, almost none of them worked in our room. I would give the resort a 3.5 if I'm being brutally honest.

Clean and great customer service

Everyone of the staff were so kind and helpful when it came to deciding where to eat and what activities to be doing! The resort was beautiful and there weren’t too many people this time of year which was exactly what we wanted! The Xhale club was great and the master suite and the ocean view was phenomenal!! We used our porch hottub every night!

Great and clean resort, I went during some construction so that was a little challenging.

I was highly disappointed. For the amount of money I spent for two rooms, I could have gotten something better. The rooms were not ready at checkin in. When we finally got into the rooms, there weren’t cleaned thoroughly, it was as if they rushed it. The rooms were musty, floors were swept, shower glass was grimy. It was just uncomfortable. The view outside was construction. Smt. And no one called prior to to let us know construction was going on. I was annoyed completely. The pictures advertised were the sister property. It was just frustrating. I was completely let down and highly upset for the amount of money paid for nothing to be up to par. I was embarrassed for the company I brought with me after speaking so highly of the property.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price I recently stayed at Breathless Montego Bay, and unfortunately, I left feeling that the resort is extremely overpriced for what it offers. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the resort lacks proper organization and planning. We were immediately hit with long waits, especially for dinner, where we waited over an hour to be seated at one of the restaurants. As for the food, it didn’t live up to the hype. It was decent but nothing special, especially considering the high prices. For a luxury all-inclusive, I expected much better quality and variety. The lack of attention to detail in the dining experience was evident, and it didn’t help that the staff seemed uninterested in making sure guests were comfortable or satisfied. In fact, asking for anything felt like a hassle, with some staff members acting as though you were bothering them. The overall customer service was lackluster. At a resort of this caliber, you expect a welcoming and attentive environment, but instead, it felt like they were just going through the motions. Whether it was at check-in, dining, or simply asking for assistance, the service was cold and unhelpful. The resort itself is decent and offers some nice amenities, but honestly, it doesn’t justify the steep price tag. There are plenty of other resorts in the area that offer better service, food, and overall value. I wouldn’t recommend Breathless Montego Bay unless you’re prepared to pay a premium

Upon arrival my husband and I felt very welcomed at Breathless Resort. We felt safe and what really stuck out was the hospitality shown from the staff. The food was DELICIOUS, we have no complaints regarding this property. Everyone was professional and efficient and we are already planning our trip back for next year. Btw, Stretch who does the live entertainment at Breathless is such a kind soul, we had a blast throughout our entire stay! Ps, please bring water shoes for the beach due to the rocks. We love Breathless Montego Bag!

My room conditions

The butler service , food and drinks were good. The shower was very filmy, our tv did not work our entire stay, our head set on our phone didn’t work , and there was no a/c in the hallways or stairwells of the resort.

Secrets is where you want to stay, breathless was over price with very limited resources

I travelled to Montego Bay to celebrate my birthday and stayed at the Breathless resort and Spa. It was highly recommended by others. This my first and last time visiting this resort and Spa. Before I go into the horrible start I do want to shout out Jeavon my butler. He was great and did everything in his power to make my stay there "breathless" he went above and beyond. I appreciate him for that. So if you ignore this review and still decide to stay there then request if you can, Jaevon as your butler. With that said, check in was lengthy but comfortable we travelled on Sept 12,2024 through September15th 2024. Once we received our room keys we went to the room. Automatically we were hit with a bad mildew/mold smell. It was horrible. We thought maybe because of the rain and it being hurricane season there that might be the reason. We were sadly wrong the room reaked of that everyday of our stay. I told our Butler and the front desk of the smell. After not hearing back from anyone the fist night I attempted to see about it the next day. The next day came still know one had contacted me about the room after they said they would. I asked housekeeping who happened to be on the floor and she stated "what do you want me to do", I don't think she was sincere about it at all. So I went down to the front desk again and spoke to someone about it and they said they would send housekeeping up to the room. Unfortunately I have to end here no more characters left. DO NOT STAY HERE

The staff was amazing 10/10 but that hotel needs immediate renovations and upgrades. The prize is very high end and therefore the hotel should be fully functional. The hotel chain holder does the staff a disservice because they have to deal with the complaints of the guests.

I had a wonderful Stay! It was my birthday and the staff accommodated me very well. The food was great. The pool was nice. The resort was not overcrowded and the access to secrets was great. I will definitely be back.

Stayed at Breathless in Cancun on 6/3/24 and the hotel and the room were immaculate. I had a minor issue with the property in Cancun, due to being misinformed regarding the premium service that was offered with their Xhale service. I was expecting the exact same experience or even a little more than what I had prior. I was truly disappointed the hotel rooms need a thorough cleaning. The hotel continue to run out on top shelf items at the bar. We upgraded to a room with a swim out and a jacuzzi. The jacuzzi knobs were broken so we couldn’t use it. We never seen anyone clean or service the swim out area the entire length of our stay. The bed was worn out and the furniture in our room and on the balcony was heavily stained. The only good thing is we had the opportunity to use Hyatt’s other hotel Secrets in which is connected to Breathless.

Really beautiful and breath taking. But the property needs some maintenance. Our room specifically the over head shower did work but the guy came out and fixed. There was ripped and cracked wood and cabinets in the room. The shower its self needs a really good scrub for the soap scum. The hot tub on the patio had hair coming out of it. We cycled it twice and it ran clean. The hot water option the hotub on the patio barley comes out so it takes about an hour to fill up. The food was good. We found the Secret side to be better with vibes, entertainment and friendly staff. I'll go back but I will stay at secrets. The swim up bar closes at 6 at breathless and they stopped the foam party. Its an adults only hotel but it was giving senior living vibes.

If the property wasn’t shared with Secrets property it would have been a very boring trip. The secrets property offered more activities, shopping, restaurants and shows.

Friendly staff

First time I have ever been to Jamaica and I decided to try out this resort. I was extremely impressed with the staff, the resort was amazing, and overall I have no complaints about my experience and I will be returning here again.

I enjoyed my time at breathless very much. I wish there was more shaded areas around the beach and pool for lounging.

Notified them of bed bugs in my room. They Denied it and took 2 days to move my room. Hotel manager was very rude and dismissive about it. Please don’t book here. Over 7k trip down the drain. On top of infestation.

Amazing

All the staff had really good energy and added to the overall wonderful experience my wife and I had. Only suggestion I would recommend would be to have the rocks cleared from the beach from time to time.

Property was stunning but was disappointed that our ocean view room was really a bay view. We had to go to the Secrets resort across the street which were quieter. Breathless was for a younger, partying crowd than to my liking (60s). Staff seemed more friendly and accommodating at the Secret resorts, although there were definitely some staff at Breathless that were better at customer service. Loved the option of the many connecting resorts. There were 14 restaurants that we could choose from and every single meal was great.

Fantastic stay. Loved every part of it! Shane our butler was outstanding! If I had to critique one thing … no curry goat or oxtail served while there. But other than that it was 10/10!

This property was amazing! Kitson was amazing he greeted me upon arrival, made sure I knew where to go and helped me to my room. The check in staff was so helpful very knowledgeable and i must say this resort was ran very well i felt very safe. Everything was clean my room was clean and comfortable housekeeping was fast and i loved how i got a phone call to verify i received anything that i asked for. My only complaint is i called in days before my arrival to let them know it was my birthday and that was not notated. I let them know once i checked in and they definitely made it up to me and i was able to arrange breakfast in bed the next day. 10/10
