Very welcoming staff. My room was cool and quiet. Found many things didn’t work - safe, shower, hair dryer. Staff was responsive in trying to address these. Nice gym.

Breakfast was not that great, the food was often cold. The fruit juices tasted like they were watered down… The WiFi areas were not as good as I would have expected..

Completely unworthy

Mediocre hotel. Should not qualify as a 4 star hotel. My room was musty, and had an odd smell. Check in took 3 hours and they offered no sort of compensation. The shower was broken and the bed had dimple from so old. The pillows were uncomfortably high. Would highly recommend people to not find somewhere else.

The property is nice,location is very convenient to airport and shopping mall. There was this hammering/banging noise literally every morning whiles we were there,as if some repairs where going on and that was very disturbing.

Service was really poor. I was traveling with a group and it took over an hour to get everyone room keys. Service was slow in the restaurant and they were missing many food items. Bus driver didn't show for airport run in the morning though they did a good job of covering that. I won't use them again, there are better options.

Best Western Premier Accra - Not worth the price

1) Room not ready at check in time, waited for 20 minutes before leaving them to prepare the room for me. Came back in the evening and allotted room finally, to discover one of the ceiling lights not functioning in an already poorly illuminated room. Requests to bellboy met with assurances to have it repaired or change my room - neither happened for the entire stay! 2) Very high priced menu, for pathetic quality Greek Salad. Will never try it again. 3) Breakfast buffet not bad but would be more appropriate for a sub USD 100 per day hotel, not one costing USD 150 plus!

The hotel rooms, hallway carpets, furniture etc are very old! The carpet was stinking of cigarettes and had stains. The bathrooms are moldy. The only thing I enjoyed was the hotel service staff who were lovely. I will NOT be returning.

Very Good

The staff was very helpful and friendly. In my first room the air conditioning did not work, and maintenance quickly came to look at it. They were unable to immediately repair it, so they arranged for me to be moved to another room right away. This hotel is very poorly lit, especially in the hallways. It is downright gloomy, and presents a depressing, unattractive appearance. They really need to work on the lighting.

The staff was very welcoming and the hotel provide excellent service including the restaurant. I love the fact it is open 24 hours with great workers and service.

Do not stay at this hotel. Another reviews have said, there are cockroaches. Staff is poorly trained and does not communicate well. Room phones did not work, A/C was spotty, rooms are not cleaned well. Extremely overpriced and the restaurant food is not good.

Enjoyed my time at Best Western, Accra. Great hospitality from the staff, great food options, centrally located (max 15min drive to any hot-spot in the city. Slight issue with the room I stayed in though, there was a constant noise like the AC was on (even when it was off). This noise never stoped, from morning till night. Would be great if someone could see to it. It was in room 334. Besides that, everything was perfect! Thank you :)

Liked the sercice and how the stafff went the extra mile to make the customer happy. I dont like the breakfast. Serviceing rice and boiled potatoes for breakfast is too much. You need variety

Staff was Excellent. NEW restaurant was HORRIBLE. Some Rooms had RATS. Computer/Business center had NO working equipment. Management needs to be more "attuned" to customer Service.

This is my second time staying here. I think that there are parts of the hotel that are being upgraded because this room was leaps and bounds better than the other room I stayed in. My only complaint is that the bathroom light was very dim - maybe the lightbulb needed changing. Otherwise great service and good place for an overnight stay.

The staff was knowledgeable and welcoming. The property is clean and well maintained. Mma Zara’s restaurant that shares the same parking lot has great authentic Ghana food. The free breakfast at the hotel was very filling with great variety.

My first impression at the reception was great, Akosua at the reception was very welcoming, polite and friendly. The rooms were spacious and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The only thing that i can fault is the bathroom which needs updating. The restaurant staffs were also friendly and helpful. There are variety of things for the buffet breakfast. I will definitely return to the hotel and recommend to all my families and friends.

My stay was good, just a few hiccups, which came from missing some basic bathroom supplies. But not enough to invalidate my pleasant experience.

Professional, Clean, Modern

I travel Africa much, this is a really good hotel, like Sheraton, except the swimming pool is not working. Has good AC, modern, nice in-house restaurant. Professional. No bugs. A little pricey.

Rakesh and Patience are the GM and Managers on the properties. They were very dishonest (I'm being nice) in working with our group at www.urbaneventsglobal.com. They basically tried to overcharge us for rooms that we didn't stay in, and the hotel was very lousy with service. Several of the staff at the bar and restaurant were nice, but that's it. We would never stay here again.

This Hotel was not what it appeared to be .pool was not available. Room to small no available upgrades for bigger rooms .water for wash n showeres was brown color. Service was excellent and cleaners were on point. B.Anderson

Staff service was hit or mis and at time down right rude. I had multiple reservations at the hotel and staff never seemed to find it even thou I confirmed and has confirmation of payment. I eventually had to call Expedia twice to rectify this.

I booked two rooms to stay overnight to catch a connecting flight the next morning. One room had the smell of a sewage backup and the other room had no A/C. When I notified management, they offered to transport me and my family to their sister property: Airside Hotel. This property was a 2 star hotel. I refused and asked to be placed in different rooms at the Best Western or refunded our money. The manager refused to refund our money stating he was the night time manager and did not have the authority to do so. He also stated that there were no more available rooms at the Best Western to accommodate moving us into. He once again offered to transport us to Airside Hotel. When my husband asked him if he personally would have his wife and mother stay at this hotel, he refused to answer and just kept saying this was all he could offer. Unacceptable! (the game they obviously play is you pay to stay there and your room is awful so you agree to move to a cheaper property and they profit from the difference in cost.) After 2 hrs of going back and forth with him and him speaking with Expedia a couple of times, he miraculously found 1 available twin bed room on the property with working AC but filthy. Please heed my warning to avoid staying at this property. Oh and by the way they had rooms available just not any rooms for Expedia customers obviously since I was able to go online that night and see rooms were available. This place should no longer be an option on the Expedia website.

I was a given better room compared to the one I had booked. Staff is very polite.

The hotel room was clean, but the AC wasn't working properly. After a call to the front desk, the technician came and verified that it was not working. For two hours, I waited for them to find me another room. The front desk person kept saying that Housekeeping wasn't answering her calls. The manager came and I told her of my problem. She put me in the two bedroom penthouse, which was nice, but I realized that another person was going to have the second bedroom. I stayed in my bedroom which had a lock on it, but didn't feel comfortable watching the big screen TV or sitting in the dining area while in the same space as a stranger. Weird!

The facility itself was okay but staff were disorganized and gave poor service. We ordered food to our room and what was supposed to take 15 minutes took 45 minutes. When they brought it, it was without cutlery so we had to call them back. After 15 minutes they came but brought only 1 set but we ordered 2 meals as we were 2 people in the room. Also, they brought our drink with no opener. After waiting about 10 more minutes we gave up. I ended up going downstairs myself to get the cutlery and bottle opener as at the point it had been over 1 hour total of waiting and back and forth.

Fine and functional hotel in a good location and close to airport. I was upgraded to a larger, and I suspect, newer room, so, it was very comfortable, clean and modern. I used the hotel as a base for business meetings, so, I would say that this is where the hotel has limitations--that is--there is not good space for sitting/working/meeting and the food and drink options are not very exciting unfortunately. These are the main limitations for me, but, other than that, I think it is a good hotel and I would probably return for a short stay.

While there were a few issues with one room, my group of 18 thoroughly enjoyed our time at Best Western. It is a beautiful facility. Everyone was pleased with the breakfast each morning. The only word to describe the staff is “outstanding.”

The overall experience was very good. My stay was not much more than a nights sleep, so I didn't get a chance to look around the facility. However, the little I did experience was very nice.

The Hotel is OK, maybe a bit over priced for what you get... The worst policy they have is charging for espresso at breakfast... Ended up paying an additional breakfast fare for 3 coffees... Ridiculous! Staff are friendly and helpful.

Brief return to the Best Western

I've stayed at the Best Western my last 4 visits to Accra over the past few years. Service has always been very good and the facilities are clean and comfortable. I enjoy the quiet neighborhood setting. Internet service was much improved this past visit, with very good access from my room and I was able to connect reliably with VPN. The breakfast buffet offers a good selection. Overall, the hotel offers very good value and comfort.

The staff was very polite and responsive to my request. The breakfast was first class. However the lighting in the bathroom was too deem, the shower took days to fix and still couldn't place the sprayer in the handle because it was broken. Breakfast for a guest was too expensive.

Attitude at the front desk was exceptionally bad. Hotel is dirty and poorly managed. When I checked out after one night they tried to charge me two nights, one night for the stay and the second night for “holding the room” (not an early check-in). Only when I said I would call the police did they back off.

Pros: The rooms were clean, the breakfast was awesome! Internet was great! The shower was kinda weird, but good. Cons: pool was closed due to renovation, lunch and dinner was expensive (but you can get food for cheap in this country); and valet Laundry was SUPER expensive - no laundry facility on premises. Would I stay here again? Most likely, yes. My rating: 3.8 stars out of 5.

They could not find my booking and proceeded to tell me that the hote was full. Eventually they moved me to another “sister” hotel which was not of the same best western standard of quality and certainly not worth the price I paid. Beware if you book this property you may end up staying at a different place.

Room a Sauna. Poor management.

My review is colored because of a bad experience with the room and with management. The AC did not cool the room and it was very hot. The hotel did not offer me another room but brought me a fan instead. It was sweltering hot and I sweated throughout the night. In the morning, I requested a refund or reduction from management. They refused both to me and to hotels.com. The cost of the room was high and it was a major breach on the part of the hotel not to rectify this problem. In addition, I came in late at night and there were bulbs burned out in the hallway that gave it a very dark appearance. I would highly recommend customers staying at other hotels for better service and accommodations for the price. Hotels.com, independent of the hotel management, did what they could to rectify the problem for me. I appreciate that. I hope that management will learn a lesson for the future if they want to keep a customer base.....

Everything was on Average......this property will probably be a 3star hotel within the continental United state. I was ok with the service until it came to checking out They stated only one person in the room is entitled to breakfast....Where in the world is that a norm.....Was charged exorbitant for extra breakfast. Extremely disappointed

Disturbing first night

Arrived very tired. Waited two hours to get my room. Had made reservations six months prior. I was very upset and tired. Travel 15 hours to get there

The plumbing on the shower was clogged. Minutes after I turned on the water, the water was spilling out of the shower place onto the bathroom floor. I only stayed for 1 nite and so did not bother to report the problem for repair.

Excellent buffet for all meals. Staff is extremely attentive and helpful.

Had a problem with the lights. Called and the issue was immediately resolved. Same professional service you are accustomed to in the USA. Great staff and a very nice breakfast buffet as well.

This Best Western is worn out

For the price you pay for this hotel, the condition is really run down. Everything felt old and worn out. Was hoping for more from a Best Western. We actually had the phone ringing, someone trying to get into our room, and then someone knocking at 11pm - it was obvious the front desk had either let none hotel guests onto the room floors or had given the wrong information out. Needless to say, we didn’t sleep much.

Location is good, staff friendly and always ready to assist.

A bit out of the way but a very nice place to stay. Cocktail service was non existent unless you walked to the bar (even as it was not busy). Will stay again though: The bed was amazing!!!

A good hotel near the airport

I’ve stayed her a few times now. The front desk staff is really not very inviting or friendly. The rooms are very clean and nice. The airport shuttle is usually timely but this time it was 30 Minutes late and then we got stuck in traffic for 20 minutes making it a 50 minute ordeal. I am sure I could have just walked it to the airport in 15 minutes but with the heat and all my bags that would have been rough. The staff at the Vine lounge in the hotel are absolutely fantastic!

Decent hotel, my main issue would be about the bathroom. Couldn't quite figure out how to set the shower temperature right for my use. It was horrible, either very hot with good pressure or very low pressure and cold.

The hotel was good. And the continental breakfast was excellent. The front desk people was kind, but not all of them.
