The location & facility are great but the most outstanding attribute in this location is the staff. Each one we encountered from desk to maintenance and cleaning personel was a delight; courteous, welcoming, efficient. They really enhanced our stay so much. We have stayed at other locations in North Bay many times but never here before. This will be our location from now on. Thank you and....Bravo! to all of you at Best Western in North Bay.

Clean, friendly staff, no issues.

This hotel has the basics and is a great place to stay for a few nights. A walk to the lake, restaurants and others stores are all close by. Coffee and tea in the lobby in the morning and a small pool and hot tub.

Air conditioner didn’t work and the restaurant sucked.

This is an older hotel BUT it still has a pool, hot tub and sauna. I enjoyed perusing all three. I didn’t see any other hotel in North Bay with these three - it’s a welcome throwback.

The queen bed was about the size of a double and the alarm clock was preset to 6am which woke us all up much earlier than we wanted to.

We were checked-in by friendly staff. Had a lovely meal in Farina with a wonderful server, Tammy. Everything was very clean. Would definitely stay there again!

The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, it was like sleeping on the floor. The saunas and whirlpool were out of order, and the whirlpool was the deciding factor between this room and another hotel, so that was slightly disappointing also. The room and hallways were clean, but at night when it was time to sleep the room coming from other rooms was excessive.

The pool is huge and was nice and clean. Rooms clean and comfy beds. Overall happy and would recommend.

Hotel was filthy, entire wing stunk of animal urine, toilet backed up, gym roof collapsed and leaking on the floor, pool had many unknown alien floating objects in water, wouldn’t stay again if last hotel on earth.

We got 4 rooms for 8 adults and 3 kids for a family getaway. Our sole intention was to enjoy the facilities for a couple days, which were filthy. Pool was nearly brown, so was the hot tub. Hot tub was cold the first night 90degrees and scolding the next 107degrees. They shut the pool down for “cleaning” on the family day weekend without any warning mid day which seemed completely pointless. Very disappointing, won’t be going back.

Check in was easy, staff was extra helpful and pleasant. Pool and hot tub area is very clean. Pool is huge! Room is clean, quiet and comfortable.

Likes: friendly front desk staff, coffee in the lobby, ground floor rooms available. Room was large and spacious, bed linens very clean and crisp, and equipped with microwave, mini fridge, and coffeemaker. Lukewarms: We chose this property because it had an EV charging station and ground floor room. When we arrived we discovered the EV charging station had been out of service for a few weeks. Not the property’s fault, but obviated one of the reasons for choosing the property. Our room was quiet and spacious, but there was a bit of an odd smell and when we removed our shoes it became apparent the carpet had been shampooed and was still wet. Not a pleasant sensation on bare feet!

The property has no elevator to the second floor rooms. The rooms have been renovated. But the bathrooms are very dated. But still functional. Overall it was fine for one night stay.

Rooms need to be updated. They looked clean, but when they haven’t been updated in a while it doesn’t seem clean or worth the amount of money. The fabrics in the room all seemed damp (carpet and bedding). It must have been a humidity issue. Walls were not sound/smell proof as we could hear the man in the next room talking for hours and the smell of marijuana from a man smoking outside lingered in our room (no windows were open) for hours. The staff offered to spray our room with deodorizer. The pool is fun! It was big enough for everyone to have space. But the pool deck was so slippery, it was super dangerous to even walk on when wet. No free breakfast. Not worth the money if you want to eat in the morning because you have to buy breakfast at the restaurant. I chose the BW because it was the cheapest option with pool, but if the others have continents breakfast, the value evens out.

I stayed 2 nights, but each night was booked separately through a 3rd party. Check in the first night was fine. Even though we were staying in the same room, I had to basically check in again and provide my ID and credit card again. An inconvenience. Extra towels were an issue. Our need for the stay was to attend a wedding. When I asked for additional towels I was asked if I was attending one of the weddings. When I said I was, the staff member told me she would get towels for me right away then. She said if I was "just a guest" she would have told me I needed to wait and would have brought them to me later. The pool was very cold. Once we got in we could see just how dirty the water was and got out. Many of the guests attending the wedding had major issues with their booking despite booking months in advance. Even after bookings were confirmed, their booking did not come up in the system. There was ample parking to accommodate my truck and trailer. No breakfast included. The gym was decent.

Staff was wonderful, property was dated and pet rooms did not have a patio door so you had to walk down long hallways to get outside and often one of the exterior doors key scanner wasn't worth working.

Front desk staff, Corey, was very friendly and prompt. This property must have done renovations recently as everything looks so new. Pool area is very nice also.

Stay was comfortable, staff all very nice, especially Aline who worked in the Lounge, very nice girl. It was a great expierence in North Bay. Except for the Shadfly we did not know anything about them, but glad they didn’t bite, There were so many of them. Thank You D&B Keel Sydney N.S.

I like this BW was convenience to the highway. When we got into our room is extremely warm, couldn’t figure out their air-conditioning system and we had a adjoining room door which we could hear the people like if they were in our room call down to front desk regarding the air conditioning and the noise level he said they would send somebody up for air conditioning, and they showed up extremely promptly And said some of these older models he had to do a few things which he did and then it was working but it was extremely loud like the conditioners from the 80s. I guess at this point it’s my fault we did not change rooms but every time the air conditioner, all came on it did drown out the sound of the people. we were so tired from driving over 12 hours . had breakfast in there restaurant I had the breakfast Poutine, was comprised of home fries, scrambled eggs and very thick hollandaise sauce and the rest of the family had eggs Benny and western breakfast sandwiches and also found just ok , our server was nice . This was our 3rd BW in 3 days as we were driving across Canada from BC. It was the second most expensive hotel, and the other ones all came with a self serve breakfast. Would I stay at this one again or recommend it probably not but it was a Place lay out tired head down did its job for the night.

The hotel is very old and showing it’s age. The hotel was very dark. Lady at the check in counter didn’t even greet me first and was not very friendly. She was not very welcoming being a guest who is coming from out of town

This property is in need of some major updates. The halls and rooms smell misty. There was visable dirt on the couch. The pool and hot tub were out of date, unclean and the stairs in the pool were so unsafe, not even sure how they are able to keep them. This is a 2 star rating at best.

Just ok

Mediocre hotel. Beds weren’t comfortable and the rooms need updating. Staff was friendly and kind. Very disappointing that there were no menus in the room or through their online link for the restaurants in the hotel.

We came up to visit my son who plays for the Voodoos and our stay was outstanding. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Hot tub and pool water were dirty, temp of hot tube made it unusable

At checkout, the front desk realized that the check in had not been completed in regards to signatures. We then had to wait for housekeeping to go do a check of our room before we could officially checkout and recieve our deposit back so we could start our day. The experience was wonderful up until this moment which is disappointing on it's own.

Three Day Conference Trip

Rooms were clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were a bit dated and drafty, but in general had everything we needed. Not a lot within walking distance, but the hotel bar/restaurant are great!
