Wonderful for short and long stays

The hotel is very well maintained and conveniently located on Avenida Liberdade with Restauradores Metro Station just a few feet away. It is close to many late night dining restaurants, pastry and gelato shops. Modern minimalist rooms with amenities like toiletries, shower caps, coffee/tea, stocked fridge with drinks, juices, snacks (separately charged if consumed). The only thing I found risky was the slick polished ceramic tiled floors in shower stalls and bathroom with glass sliding doors and not much safety handles to prevent an accidental slip and fall resulting in injury. A problem that can be solved by management of the hotel. Other than this, it is a wonderful four star hotel with helpful and friendly front desk personnel. I know where to stay when I visit Lisbon again.

Great service and location!

We visited during off season and they were stellar. Came in on an early flight and they were able to accomdate us with an extremely early check-in time. They were attentive to all our needs. We asked for an iron, they brought it up 5 minutes later. The best indicator of their excellence in service is when I called for a packet of coffee, creamer, and sugar at 4am from the gym and they delivered!

A very nice hotel

We all really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The facilities are great; especially the breakfast area which was exceptional.

Overall our stay was great. Staff was super helpful and location is perfect for being close to everything and still not in the middle of it. A few nits - no washcloths provided, no iron in the room (but supplied when asked). I would definitely recommend the Bessa!

The photographs online don’t do justice to this hotel. It is beautifully modern and centrally located to all of the good restaurants, cafes, stores, parks, historical sites, and the sea—indeed, everything is within walking distance! Its location is even better than its competitors and the staff are friendly and attentive. The gym and pool are small but great and neither were ever crowded. The restaurant was elegant and the rooms were stellar—I highly recommend the deluxe suite for anyone traveling with a small child. I can’t say enough about how perfect this hotel was for us and I’d no doubt stay there again next time. Don’t miss out on this gem of a hotel!

Convenient location-close to everything. Room was ready ahead of schedule which was fantastic after arriving on an overnight flight.

Good location, friendly and efficient staff, good quality food at breakfast buffet. Shower was roomy and powerful, bed very comfortable. No view but we were not in the room much. Pool was right temperature and enjoyable though small.

I stayed in BessaHotel for 3 nights, the hotel facilities and location are wonderful. However, their customer service is terrible and it's nothing like 4* hotel. Less communication, misleading information, overcharging and not willing to solve the problem.I will not recommend this hotel.

This is placed perfectly on the Avenida da liberdade close to all the designer stores. There are restaurants scattered all within walking distance. The hotel also has bar and restaurant. Both good. Service was great. The breakfast was very good buffet style. We did see some bugs in our room and I was very grossed out. Parking garage is under hotel but you have to pay. Very convenient.

Exceptional staff

All hotel staff - front desk, concierge, bellman, waiters/waitresses and bartenders were exceptionally friendly and inviting. An overall wonderful experience. They also have parking on-site, which is great.

We were absolutely delighted by BessaHotel. The property is new and stylish in a great part of town. The rooms are well designed and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The optional breakfast was a delicious and relaxing way to begin your day. I have stayed at five star hotels in Lisbon, and the Bessa felt as nearly as good as much more expensive hotels there.

Beautifully designed hotel, very clean and modern, spacious rooms, very clean. Good breakfast choice. Central location with main bars and restaurants 5 mins, water front 10-15. Can walk to castle and cathedral. Really recommend this hotel

Beautiful and clean hotel. Right on the streets where the expensive shops are. Good location for restaurants and coffee. Extremely clean and modern! Wish our stay was longer at this hotel. Great amenities as well.

Great option for Lisbon stay & High end shopping

Comfortable hotel in heart of high end shopping district of Lisbon and 0.5 miles from Bairro Alto ( up hill). Amenities including pool, fitness center and restaurant/bar seemed great. Unfortunately didn't have time to use any. Our room was a 3 bed triple. Each bed was permanent not roll away. Highly recommend

Although we were very early for our check-in they worked with us to get a room ASAP - they were very accommodating and the room was great!

Bessa Hotel in Lisbon

Loved the breakfast as it was more convenient for us to come down and eat instead of having to go out to look for a restaurant, and the buffet had a good selection of food. Staff was helpful and courteous. Location was good and the area felt safe. The room size was adequate for our family of 3, the linens were clean, and the bathroom was a good size. Having a pool was great because it enabled us to cool off on what turned out to be a warm day in Lisbon on our last full day there.

Nice hotel very clean and nice staff

The BessaHotel Liberdade was a great place for a long weekend in Lisbon. It was very convenient to the Metro so the trip from the airport was simple even for us first timers. The front desk was very accommodating and we were able to get early access to our room upon arrival. Our triple room was super clean, modern, and surprisingly spacious! We appreciated having 2 luggage stands, robes, and plenty of towels. We didn’t use any of the hotel facilities but what we saw of the hotel was well-kept and stylish. Overall our stay was excellent and I would tecomend

Awesome hotel with great amenities. One of the best breakfast buffets. When I needed a massage the front desk set up an appointment for me. The hotel is conveniently located to great restaurants,Hop on hop off or Tuk Tuk excursions. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel with great amenities. Their continental breakfast buffet is one of the best we’ve had in Europe. Their restaurant is also really good and I received one of the best massages I’ve ever had while on vacation in Portugal.

They cancelled a friends reservation. The bellman was standing around seemingly doing nothing and did not respond quickly to our needs.

Excellent customer service. Telmo (receptionist) was amazing. He sat down with us to discuss what we could do in the area, pulled up google maps on their computer to show us how to get around. He did it with so much enthusiasm - his passion and love for Lisbon came across in his conversations with us. Very patient. The hotel was quiet and awesome. Only recommendation: people cleaning the rooms or checking the fridge beverage should be a little more patient with knocking at the door before entering the room. They entered very quickly after knocking without waiting to hear if there was a guest in the room that may have needed privacy. It was very awkward as it felt like they were barging in on several occasions.

Hard uncomfortable beds. Scratchy sheets. North rooms face building no natural light. Can’t turn off rain shower , Feels more like a 3 star. Mediocre breakfast buffet. Small Indoor pool full of kids. A superb quality hotel, from the incredibly friendly and efficient reception staff, to the high quality climate control in the room, the huge walk in shower and the surprisingly comfortable bed. The pool was a real bonus, with weather that good, and I’d book again in a heartbeat.

The hotel has indoor outdoor pool on second floor which is nice especially traveling with family. Do have dinner at the hotel restaurant Flavio will take good care of you and the food is outstanding

This hotel is a great value. It is located at the Champs Élysées of Lisboa, Avenida Libertade. Breakfast is well worth the price. Be sure to include in your reservation. Bed is large and comfortable. Room is very spacious. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic hotel. Great location in the centre which you can walk to everything! Quiet hotel, spacious room. Super clean rooms. We didn’t use the pool/jacuzzi.

It’s located in a nice neighborhood that’s right next to tram stop and just 5 min walk to metro/train station. The room is nice and spacious. We tried asked for room on upper floor with view since we booked for 4 nights over a month ago but they only gave us 3rd floor with no view (a bit disappointed). The pool is also like a kiddie pool so we weren’t able to use it.

We loved our stay. The hotel is very nicely styled, the rooms are comfortable and quite big (especially by European standards). The staff was friendly and professional. We thought the food was excellent- the breakfast buffet has so much to choose from! The pool area and the cocktail/food service there was great. The area was great- conveniently located, with shops, restaurants, sites, and transportation close by. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was very nice. We had 3 people and the room was comfortable. The pool area was nice The only issue was the lack of bartenders They did nit have a dedicated bar tender and if you ordered a drink some people didn’t know how to make it correctly and if it wasn’t in their book you couldn’t have it. A bit disappointing being on vacation and you couldn’t have your favorite drink even though they had the ingredients. All in all I would recommend this hotel it is in a great area

Great Hotel to stay in Lisbon...

We did use the BessaHotel in Porto and liked very much. Managed to get only one night at BessaHotel in Lisbon Our stay was great as it is very close to the main attractions at Lisbon center and nice restaurants..

Fantastic hotel! The people were all incredibly helpful and kind. The rooms were spacious and the location cannot be beat- in a walkable neighborhood with park trees and a view of the castle from the balcony. The pool and common area were terrific for our down time. All of it - Heavenly! The true standout though was the staff. We arrived spontaneously due to a cancelled flight and with some complications for our son. They helped with everything - kindly- at every possible step. We would have been lost without their efficient help. We can’t wait to go back!

Updated room, clean, comfortable bed, nice balcony with french doors, bathroom was large with nice large walk in rain shower. Check in was smooth, hotel staff friendly...nothing but great experience.

Great location. Close to everything: shops, restaurants, attractions. Boutique style hotel room is clean, modern, decent space, and best of all great AC. Tried three different hotels during first visit to Portugal in two cities and Bessa was the favorite and the best price performer.

Loved this hotel! The staff was so friendly and helpful. I paid for breakfast one of the days and it was delicious. The room was amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was a rainfall shower head. Definitely would stay here again and definitely would recommend it!

Great location, lovely rooms, great bar with good value cocktails, the breakfast is brilliant. Pool area is covered and quite small which is a shame when it’s sunny!
