Great studio accommodation for my daughter, grandson and me. Needed to drive up to Hanmer from the motel. It is walkable but I have mobility issues.

Clean, fresh, modern. Comfortable bed. Friendly owner. Would definitely stay again. One minor recommendation: The labels were worn so it was not possible to tell the shampoo from the conditioner.

You can see the mountains from the unit. very clean and well equipped.

Staff are really friendly and lovely. Love the powerful shower, comfy bed. Perhaps the bathroom can do with a few more hooks to hang clothes. We booked 2 rooms, but my kids room didn't get serviced for one of the 3 days. And coffee didn't get replenished. No big deal. I had knee problems so going up and down the stairs was challenging at times but didn't realised that the rooms were on 1st floor when i booked. Perhaps informing customers of the 1st floor rooms might be helpful. Overall happy and will do business with you guys again. Thank you.

Unfortunately we didn’t no that there were no cooking facilities Stove saucepans for cooking your meal. Only a microwave Breakfast and lunch were Ok because we didn’t need too cook anything.

Clean budget motel

Small basic room but very clean. Friendly helpful staff. About 20 minutes walk in the village and hot pools with a nice view of the mountain. Has a tennis court and basketball hoops. Bed was really soft and uncomfortable but had a good shower and decent size bathroom.

From the owners willingness to chat and guide us through a country walk to advice on where to eat and onward instructions to our next stop everything was smooth sailing. Personally loved the fresh ground coffee and coffee press and hot chocolate provided. A fabulous stay!

Tidy and friendly

Welcoming owners and nice, well maintained rooms, towels provided for thermal pools. A little out of town so needed to take car. Good advice on local eateries and which to avoid which was helpful.

clean and tidy, had a great two nights way, the only problem was the sliding do into the bathroom was binding on the door frame making it very hard to close

Room was clean and tidy, bed comfortable. We didn't use the hotels other facilities as we were out and about enjoying all that Hanmer has to offer.

Beautiful Hanmer

Very comfortable 5 day stay in ground floor unit. Good walking tracks close at hand. Lovely weather the whole time and Hanmer was at its spring best.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Park and trails right behind leading to Hanmer Forest Trails. Convenient to thermal pools and the motel provides separate towels. Free tennis court on site. Paint peeling above shower but they are in process of replacing the showers. Provided shampoo has unpleasant smell.

Fairly small room for the rate charged for a studio unit. No sink. Host gave us some free very nice venison which made up for other faults!

It was nice that they were happy to supply towels to borrow for the hot pools. Unfortunately there was a set someone else’s dirty clothes left in the room.. it made me wonder how well it had been cleaned. As well as the shower was block while using it causing it to fill up. I checked the drain and it was full of hair

Good Accommodation for weekend at Hanmer Springd

Comfortable no-frills room. Everything you needed for an overnight stay. Kitchenette good for heating ready meal, making toast, preparing hot drinks etc Full size fridge if bringing own supply of beer & wine! Good view. Plenty of parking space. Only downside was that it was on the edge of Hamner, approx 15-20mins walk to centre of Hamner, partly uphill

Hanmer Bella Vista

A very nice property convenient to the Pools. The Tennis court is a plus. As a pet friendly motel, it may be attractive to some, but we prefer pet free. However, we would stay again.

Great Overnight in Hamner Springs

We got caught in a Hwy 1 closure along the coast and had to change our route to get to Christchurch. Managed to find this little gem just before closing. Owners were very kind to get us settled. Was just looking for a place to overnight after a very long drive. Quant resort town with spa. Be aware that the streets roll up early and restaurants shut down before 8 or so. Only pubs thereafter. Nothing fancy for the small room we selected but good value and was just what we needed. Nice that it had a microwave. Would stay there again.

Pet friendly but with a small additional cost. Worth it as pet friendly accomodation hard to find in NZ.

Very quiet and peaceful. The owner manager was very helpful as my husband was there for future work contracts.

Great value motel

We really enjoyed our short stay at Bella Vista. The hosts were so welcoming, and the room was warm, spacious, and impeccably clean. Comfy beds, good quality bed linen, a fully equipped kitchen, spa bath, and sky tv made it very pleasant, despite having two toddlers with us! We would definitely recommend this place for a low budget family friendly accommodation choice.

Were charged for an extra child $75per night but when we cancelled (several nights beforehand) this we were only given a refund of $20 per night which we had to ask for. When queried they said it was what they charged and that the rest was book fees paid to WOTIF.

Great Motel Close to Hot Pools

I enjoyed my stay, was a great getaway and close walk to the hot pools.

Well maintained units. The guy on the desk gave us some helpful suggestions about good walks in the area, which was appreciated.

Very thankful for the free upgrade. We awoke to a wonderland of snow, even if bitterly cold.

Great place stay and reasonable room cost

Great place to stay within reasonable walking distance to CBD. Management helpful and friendly. Our room layout was cramped (2 people and 2 large bags). OK for 1 night, if staying longer would look at a different room.

It was a short stay as we arrived late. But we were still made to feel extremely welcome. and the shower was superb

Rooms are too small to be comfortable, no sink in kitchen area and only a microwave to cook with. It was clean and tidy but overall too small and too hot. No air conditioner to cool the room

Ideal position for New year being away from noise

No blind on door to prevent sun glare. Didn’t,t know about units for stroke and/ or other Disabled victims with disability park directly in front. But we did get assistance to move to a ground floor unit on arrival.

Great stay

Everything was great, clean, comfy and quiet, apart from noisy kids running up and down stairs, slamming door, wishing parents would teach kids respect and doors have handles for a reason, but not motels fault

Was a lovely place to stay though had interlocking doors in room. Also children riding scooter/skates early on the balcony on the first floor!

Studio was small but fine for a short stay

A bit disappointing we had no view from the studio. The sunniest place was the bathroom! However it was a very clean and warm unit.
