We went with kids and they were so nice and friendly

Stayed in own room was brillant good aircon good bed amd had harddrive netflix etc. Very clean and would deff stay again brillant hostel

Good hostel

It was nice

Great hostel, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathroom were clean. They gave a towel when you arrive. Soundproofed rooms so wasn’t noisy at night. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean and comfortable

Probably the cleanest hostel in all of Asia. Had a lovely stay. Comfortable beds and quiet at night.

Mostly everything was ok. The food in the canteen upstairs and the hang out area was nice, although I never so anyone behind the outside bar. Pool is pretty small too. The single bed room is tiny, very very small and no sound proofing at all. I booked a single room instead of a dorm bed as I struggle to sleep and wanted some privacy. This didn’t happen. I could here people walking past my room, doors slamming and every noise in the hotel. Besides that there was mould behind the bed and the floor behind the bed not clean at all. When I raised this issue with the staff, they said they’ll speak to the manager but nothing happened. Also there was no water for 2 out of my 4 nights. Apparently this was an issue with the whole street and the staff said that they did everything they could to get someone to deliver some water. All in all it was ok, but looks like there’s better options around the area for the same price I paid here!

Area

Amazing hostel just that bathroom very small and the bed was hard . Overall everything was good for those booking 4 room do bring a padlock along as cupboard provided without padlock . There also short cut to Bangla road. Nice view from the TOP as did not try the pool as it was small just for soaking not for Swimming

Save yourself some money.

It was ok. I booked it because it was supposed to be on the beach. When I got there it was not. It's not worth the price they charge for the bed. All the doors slam really loud and you hear constant noise from outside. Seems like the front desk staff have attitudes when you ask questions.

BearPacker hostel stay

It was a really comfortable, clean, and friendly environment at the BearPacker hostel. The location was also perfect, Patong beach and street were simply a 2 minute walk from the place. The customer service was also phenomenal!

I booked a private room with a king bed and it was great. I definitely recommend it and will definitely book the same room for my next visit to Phuket

Stayed in a private room for a few nights the room is literally the size of a bed and that's it. That's my only complaint otherwise everything about the hostel was great. The location is next to the beach and the night life.

The staff is very nice & helpful. The rooftop area is great & the food is good & a fair price.

Nice and clean hostel. The common area is where I get to know for people that are staying there and it’s very comfortable as well. It’s near to the beach and main streets of Patong. Family Mart is right downstairs. Very friendly and helpful staff

Everything is good except the swimming pool is not clean.

First hostel experience and it was wonderful. The staff was friendly, honest, and caring. Great place to meet like minded travelers and the location is optimal for the beach and the most of Patong.

Place no longer had the warm friendly vibe as when I stayed here 2 years ago. Upon checking in I had to sign a “contract” of the multitude of rules I needed to abide by (or be penalized monetarily or kicked out) - including no food in room - a big negative for me since going to Thailand is all about food and being able to enjoy it whenever/wherever I want. The “restaurant” was remodeled so it was behind a glass wall like a secure (and cold) bank teller, and the microwave oven (that I previously used to reheat leftovers) no longer existed. The fridge was still near the kitchen door but I didn’t bother to ask whether I could use it, as I had before. (No point if there wasn’t a microwave oven.). The previously new and clean white paint now was dirty and grungy looking. The bathroom:shower facilities, while still immaculately clean, smelled awful; not sure if it was the smell of the blue liquid in the toilets or urine of the soiled toilet paper in the bins (common practice in Thailand.) They seemed to only empty that once a day. I occasionally munched on almonds in my room and felt like a criminal. I moved to a hotel for $20 ($4 less per night) and got a spacious hotel room with bathroom en-suite, fridge. (I had a private room the size of a twin bed and a storage locker at Bearpacker; I rented similar room before, but price was now about $10/night. As I left, staff no-eating only applied to shared rooms, and said I could ask staff to refrigerate leftovers, but too late.

Hotel staff are friendly. Close to the beach. The only thing is that our booking says bed & breakfast but the stafff said there’s no breakfast offered.

Excellent location at Patong

Like other hostels, do not expect a quite environment at night. You need to put off your shoes before entering lobby to keep the hostel clean, but it would be great if they can provide in-room flip flop, because the floor wasn't that clean. The comforter was quite damp. Also when I booked at Expedia, breakfast was included in the price I paid, but the staff said they don't provide breakfast. It didn't bother me but still hope Expedia to update the information on the website. But the location is excellent, very close to Patong Beach, and there is a surf house nearby. You can also book a mini van to pick you to the airport at the cost of 200THB, but you need to expect to depart earlier because the driver might need to pick other passengers up at other hotels. If you want to take a taxi, the cost will be 800THB. If you come alone, mini van seems to be your best choice.

Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in

This hostel was very nice. Staff was very helpful and accomedating. Although I went during the slow season, I was still able to meet people, simply by putting myself out there. The facilities were cleaned daily. The a/c in the rooms took a while to cool the room but my morning it was really cold inside. The rooftop pool and patio was a major plus!

Amazing Stay

The hostel was one of the cleanest that I have ever stayed out, the staff were some of the friendliest I have ever met, and the location was right next to the beach. I was not a fan of the night life in Patong as it is not my scene but the fact that the hotel was right next to the beach made it all better. It was super comfortable and clean. I would 10/10 recommend this place and stay at it again.

BP Hostel awesome, Patong Beach awful!

The BearPacker Hostel was awesome! It was the only good thing about my stay in Patong actually. The Hostel is very clean, quiet, and has a great location. It has a great little "restaurant" and awesome rooftop patio and pool. I would stay here again in a heartbeat except for the fact I will NEVER go to Patong again. It is one of the most awful places I have ever been to. Take the worst of Cancun, Las Vegas, Miami, New Orleans, etc and put it all together. This is not a reflection on the BP Hostel, but the Patong Beach area itself. Apparently some people like it, the "town" was very busy, but there wasn't one redeeming quality about it. The BearPacker Hostel though, was awesome!

Recommended hostel

First time staying at a hostel and it was surprisingly quiet. I got a mixed room for 4 and one bed was mostly unoccupied the entire time I was there. I would say that this is a hostel with hotel vibe. I really like the hostel, the people, and the food (the dining area in the 5th floor has great prices and the food is delicious). I used the pool once but it is very small. The beach is across the street pretty much so this wasn't a big deal at all- I mean, the whole point of being there was the beach anyway. I would definitely recommend this place!

A hostel not to be missed. Try it out

Very near patong beach(bangala rd), nice roof with pool, nicely decorated room and clean. Just a little pricey for a backpacker hostel even though i choose the couple room.

Overall great hostel

A great hostel, very clean, comfy rooms. Dorms aren’t very big, large lockers provided. Curtains for each bed is great. Can get pretty loud but given location in patong is to be expected. Food in the hostel is good and cheap compared to restaurants around. Great location couple of minutes walk to the beach and everything needed on your doorstep. Rooftop is great place to chill out.

Nice hostel close to the beach and shops

I tried to check in early because I didn’t want to lug my stuff around but the hostel was full. However, the staff let me keep my bag in the back room until check in time which was awesome. The place was very clean and it was great for a one night stay. I bought breakfast upstairs in the morning and it was delicious and cheap. I would definitely recommend this hostel :)

Honestly, This is the best Hostel I have ever stayed in to date! - The staff were so friendly, they are helpful on social media platforms (when I had a question before arrival) The rooftop was so cool and a great place to socialise. I know where I'll be staying if I visit Patong again

Amazing!

I loved this place!! Super comfy, clean, secure and sAfe!! Super close to the main Bangla st. Where the parties, bars are at!!! You can definitely hear the music from outside but it’s not too loud. I loved it! I was a solo female traveler and felt safe!!!! ❤️ I will come back !!

One of best hostels I have ever stayed

The hostel is very nice, like a hotel. The location is nearby Bangla Walking Street and Patong Beach. There is a rooftop restaurant and swimming pool. Also, a restaurant which cooks some western breakfast and Thai food. It is a little expensive compares other hostels in Thailand, but the quality is reflected its price.

Good hostel in the middle of Patong beach!

Amazing hostel in the middle of Patong beach:just cross the road and you are on the beach.Calm hostel(I had a single room),small 4k meters.comfi bed,air condition. Cleans toilets and showers.They provided soap & shampoo. I stay only for 2nights,had any problems. Good and fast service on reception.FamilyMarket is just by entries to hostel. Close to nightlife street,you can walk to Freedom or Paradise beach(approx 5km).

Best hostel ever!

Best hostel I ever stayed, it's even better than hotels. Despite I didn't like patong beach and surrounding. This accommodation would be the only reason to came back in Phuket. Nice spacious rooms with big locker, nice comum area with tv, restaurant with very cheap price, and this amazing poool with sea view. And very fun to Make friends and don't forgetting what the amazing cleaness. It's seem they just open!!! Keep it up guys.

Just one if the best hostels i have been to, during my stay in asia. Clean, friendly staff, nice rooftop, near to the beach/bangla road... Just no bad thing to say :)

Really nice place to stay

I stayed in the single room. Although small I was very happy with it, good bed and enough space. The bathrooms are extremely clean which is great. At night it can get really noise and people turns the corridor lights on which really disturbed my sleep (room get really bright). It shouldn't be allowed to turn corridor lights on after a certain time. Good food and the terrace and the pool are a plus. Overall I had a great experience.
