Lovely property with excellent off season rates. Lovely Adirondack chairs with fire fits overlooking a creek. Will return!

Staff friendly and helpful. Immaculately clean. Only complaint is poor lighting in the room.

The property itself was clean and very nice. The room, not so much. No comfort whatsoever. High top bar stools for chairs, mattress way too soft and worn out, no support at all. Got up with a sore back. Tiny room with very little space to move. Breakfast was just coffee, yogurt and some microwaveable foods with a small 4 person picnic table to eat on or trying to eat on a couch. the room attendant was next door when we went out and we told her not to clean our room as we wanted privacy. She went in anyway so no privacy was afforded us. I'd like to give this place a good review because everything else was nice. but they need to vastly improve creature comforts and personal preferences. Just nowhere to get comfortable and ignored privacy requests.

We had a good stay. The only negative is the bed was not very comfortable. Otherwise, great location, price and accomodations.

Only thing that was a minor irration was shower curtain blew into the shower while showering. Needs a weighted shower curtain. Other than that loved it there!

This is a small, no frills room. But if you're looking for a clean convenient inexpensive room for the night, this is an excellent option. The check in process was wonderful. Desk manager very efficient, friendly. Parking was plentiful and right in front of room, so no lugging your cargo through the lobby, up the elevator, and down the hall, etc.

The property is an quiet and peaceful setting with a small creek and bulkhead. The one bed unit in the motel closest to the water was clean, the bed was average but the room is very, very small (approximately 190 square feet). Breakfast was not much to talk about with just coffee, yogurt and cold cereal.

We stayed in a two bedroom cabin and I was greeted with friendliness from the moment I emailed them to ask some questions. Very kind, very accommodating, cute property, quiet place to recharge. I will definitely stay here again!

This place was nice to stay at. I had a nice view of the lake and it was quiet. Breakfast is a grab and go type of breakfast. My minor complaints are my bed was not comfortable( I am getting old and everything makes me ache ) and the air freshener was too strong for me. I unplugged it. But overall it was a nice stay.

Stay away, you are not WELCOME HERE!!

I had an extended trip in the area. So It was neccesary to extend my stay. When I came to offc the kid told me the hotel could'nt extend my stay past a week. I questioned this and was told this is hotel policy? I've never stayed in hotel before and been told there is a limit? I asked for this policy to be given to me in print, he refused. Then this disrespectful kid started using profanity, told me to get my stuff (can't use the actual words.because of policy here) and get out! I'm 64 yrs old, military vet, and never have I been so humiliated! I was told never to come back, and again told to get my stuff and get the heck out or he'd call the police!! Wow, if you want to be cussed out and threatened by an 18 yr old, then come on over to this classy place! I spent over $900 and this is how they appreciated...Advise, STAY AWAY!! especially from the imature kid who cursed me out!

Great place to stay

One of the best motels we have stayed in. Walls are thin but they did an amazing job updating this place and are keeping it in great condition. Super clean.

Friendly staff but I expected the room to be cleaned every day, but that wasn't the case. That was the only thing that made the rest quite comfortable.

This property was in a great location. About a mile from the route 50 bridge that crosses into downtown Ocean City. It's conveniently located near plenty of restaurants, fast food places, and the outlets. There are also dispensaries nearby for those that need their medical supplies. The staff here were super friendly. They explained the check-in process. If you book via Expedia, be prepared to pay the $12 per day fee in addition. Expedia does not include this fee when you pay. The shuttle runs daily between the hotel/cabins to the beach. My favorite part about this spot in the dock behind the area. They have chairs you can sit in & they have grills w/ benches for picnics. Crabbing in convenient in the back creek & it's also a nice spot to catch bait fish. We stayed in the motel because the cabins were booked. There are 2 things that I was unpleased with. 1. My husband & I got ripped apart with bites. I suspect they could have been a combination of bed bugs & fly bites although we didn't feel the flies biting while we were outside. We had bites in places where I know flies couldn't have bit us. My suggestion for this is to bring your own sheets/comforters if you are staying at the motel. 2. We were given new towels each day, but we didn't get new sheets. I'm not sure if we were supposed to ask or not. Also, the comforter had spots on it which was gross. The room had very little light in it. I will be returning to this spot with my own sheet set.

The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable.

The room was very small, no dressers for cloths, but we where not staying long so it worked fine for us.

Was quiet and clean. Could use some updates and repairs.

Old school motel on the outskirts of OC.

It’s a standard motel. our room smelled of pine sole so bad! You opened the door and it hit you hard. We went to dinner came back and just as bad. The walkways and stairs were wooden and old and when anyone walked you would hear it through your room. Kids on first floor running up and down the walkway didn’t help at 10pm either. The blinds let way to much light in at night even when we covered it with a sheet. It was a stopover for our trip to OBX so it we dealt with it. But you get what you paid for. Maybe the cottages are better?

I liked that the parking space was in view of my room. We also had a pool view room. The space was quiet and peaceful. Great place to stay with family if you don't want to be on the boardwalk.

People above us were noisy all night and staff did nothing about it after repeated calls. Floor had soft spots everywhere. Got there and it smelled like an entire bottle of pinesol was used to clean. Not sure what they were trying to cover up

We had a wonderful visit! The property is clean, well maintained with a variety of activities! Our room was newly and completely renovated. It was perfect! Very convenient to restaurants, movie, supermarket, etc. Close to Assateague National Park. Will stay here again on our next visit to the area.

I’ve been meaning to write about my recent stay at Beach Bum West-O. My daughter and I stayed there for a week and had an amazing time. It was clean, safe, and only a 5 minute drive to the broadwalk. It was in a convenient location for other OC activities also. The motel sits on a creek with places to bbq, has a playground, and a pool. The rooms are TINY.. but I knew that beforehand based on the pictures so I wasn’t too surprised/disappointed upon arrival. You can also rent cute little cabins on the property too tho! The staff were friendly and accommodating. For the price I was pleasantly surprised and highly recommend it to anyone on a budget. I would definitely stay there again!

Hidden gem in west Ocean City

What a hidden gem! My room looked out at a beautiful creek and park. I would stay here again for sure!

Liked the price and location. AC was loud and blinds allowed outdoor lights to shine in even when closed at night. Wished they had curtains instead of blinds. Overall, good experience. At the front desk during our stay, heard a lady complain about bugs in her room. I didn’t experience it myself but the lady who complained was only 3 doors down.

I spent 4 days here and loved it. It is just far enough away from OC that you can easily access the beaches and nightlife. They do offer an OC shuttle. The hotel was cute and the rooms were minimal. There's intracoastal access off the back of the property with geo-fenced self service kayaks available for rent. This place has great amenities but without all the frills. I would absolutely stay here again.

The Getaway

We enjoyed our stay looking forward to coming back hopefully for a cabin this time. Bed was so comfortable,very convenient all necessities that you need in one room. People are very nice and friendly.

I hade the pleasure of relaxing and doing what I wanted to do will be back

White Marlin open

A nice family friendly place.We picked this motel because it was away from the hustle and bustle of OC.They have a shuttle that runs to OC at different times of the day.There are nice cabins on site as well.It was a pleasant check in & when we got to our room it was nice & clean.The room was small but we weren't hanging out in the room.Nice refrigerator and microwave too.We went exploring everyday. As long as it was clean.There was a nice pool on site as well as well as a lake.The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend staying here,plenty of restaurants around & close to Asseteaque.

Peaceful

Very clean, very friendly, a nice get away. Pool was great. Reminds you of camping , but very nice places to rent.

I had a beautiful and fantastic time. Everyone was so friendly and amazing. Perfect location between Ocean City and assategue.

The staff was very nice. I had a problem with my reservation. They had the incorrect dates for my stay but they were able to resolve this in a few minutes. Rooms were clean. They smell a little too strong of the cleanser they use Tissues and disposable cups in the bathroom would have been nice I would stay again.

Quiet and comfy

We stayed for a long weekend and it was very comfy and cozy and perfect for a little getaway. Neighbors were quiet and pleasant.

Room was too small

Not a lot of amenities, but a good price.

Some confusion about reservation dates was satisfactorily resolved by very courteous staff by upgrading my room to a cabin

Our room was very clean and clearly recently renovated with gray flooring, paint, and an updated bathroom. Small room but set-up with a long counter on one wall for snacks, travel coffee maker, etc. It was all we needed for a short beach getaway. A/C worked well! Delightful outdoor areas with a little boardwalk next to a creek with Adirondack chairs for quiet views and a grassy area with tables, outdoor grills, volleyball net and playground for younger kids. Not far from the inlet or Assateague. Very pleasant stay!

This is the best Motel ive ever stayed honestly. My fiance and I had a lakeview which was close the the basketball court and grills. Its was very quiet and close to dining and an 7 min drive to the boardwalk. I would definitely stay here again. They have an outdoor pool but we didnt get to use it but hopefully next stay we will!

Nice

Wonderful Place

It was in the perfect spot to get to both ocean city and Assateague island! The room was super comfy and cozy. The cleaners would come in everyday as well and give us a new towel for the floor and clean towels. Im more than happy with our stay there!

It was perfect for a one night stay. The room was a little bit too small and would be nice to have a kettle or a coffee maker in it. Otherwise, the room was very clean, it looked recently renovated. Area was quite, except moving grass activity on the early Monday morning. For less than a $100 it was perfect.

Basic motel with small rooms, daily housekeeping, breakfast of cereal, yogurt, and microwave sandwiches. Location beautiful on the creek with crabs in the water and kayak launch.

Clean and great facilty

Attractive property. Clean rooms. Free Transportation to beach. Picnic tables. Be aware that the room with the 1 full bed is quite small.

Cute little hotel on the water

This was a cute little property. Rooms were very small, but they were just like the picture. Unfortunately when we checked in the whole floor was covered in sand. I get that this is a beach hotel, but this hotel was not actually anywhere near the beach. All it would have taken was a good vacuuming. Bed was average. Bathroom was nice. AC unit couldn’t keep up so it was constantly running and still rather hot in the room during the day. Breakfast was just prepackaged food. I won’t go back to this property.

I really enjoyed my stay.

This was a very unique property. Not your regular corporate run hotel. It was away from the hustle and bustle of Ocean City, but close enough if you wanted to head to town. Located on a beautiful lake with Adirondack Chairs to sit in and take in the view just steps from the motel. The rooms were very small but clean and ample. Definitely would stay here again.

Sad vacation stay

The service was deplorable they refused me toilet paper the morning of me departing because I was checking out that day.despite the roll up on arrival was already used. The toilet was dirty and it was evident that it wasn't cleaned . The TV didn't work it took two remotes to control it one to change the channel the other one for the volume. The grounds were nice and neat .

Very clean and convenient for our weekend stay. The only problem is the drive to the beach due to traffic is was almost an hour and half drive to and from the beach due to the bridge . But I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and tidy. The people upstairs were extremely noisy but that's not the facilities fault, and we fortunately had a sound machine so our baby wasn't woken up as constantly as we were. The only problem I had with the room was the mold in the bathroom. Definitely in need of mold remediation vs just continuing to paint and caulk over the problem. We did enjoy our stay but due to this we wouldn't stay here in the future unfortunately for health reasons

The room was clean and tidy. Not much room to move around tho. Price was reasonable.
