This place gave us a great welcome after a long trip. Great location to everything including water taxi from the airport and to the train station. Everyday they provided maid service. We traveled with a young toddler and it was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.
Perfect location. Very comfortable room with a large bathroom and shower. Check in was very easy and a friendly welcome! Highly recommend
Beautiful property with a good view of the canals. Be advised though that there is no lift, but the room itself is worth it. You get the feel of Venice but from a good distance away from the busy areas so it’s pretty quiet and serene at night. I chose this area because it’s near the restaurant we had reservations for. The front desk folks were nice as well.
Will book again when I return to Venice.
As a solo traveler I felt extremely safe. The location was just far enough to get away from the crowds although very walkable to all the tourist areas. I recommend.
Stairs
Great place and clean our only issue was that the bed was to joint beds and it had a crack in the middle that made it uncomfortable also the bed sheets were old and it rip as soon as we pull it but over all the location was great and close to most important areas.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The view of the canal was amazing. Fair warning, if you plan on staying here, you’ll have to walk up multiple flights of stairs.
Perfect location to explore the Venice Biennale and surrounding sites :)
We had a great stay! Staff was very flexible and communicative. At first, we were supposed to arrive after hours so we arranged to meet later in the day. We ended up having a last minute change of plans and we arrived earlier, the staff was flexible and our room was ready by the time we get there. Highly recommend. Ps: be ready to climb 3 flights of stairs with your luggage.
Wonderful neighborhood, a little hard to find, but download city mapper and you will be ok. My room was comfortable and quiet, I slept long me a baby
Don't have lift
Our stay at B&B Le Marie was great, a very convenient area just tucked away off the main streets, quiet and very clean! I’d come again! The only negatives would be that it doesn’t actually do breakfast anymore (but doesn’t state this when booking), no tea or coffee facilities in the room and also 47 steep steps to the room! 😂 Saying that, I would stay again!
Very small rooms. Note!! There isn't 24 hr reception. If you have a late arrival, stay elsewhere. We watched a couple arrive after the front desk left for the day. No idea if they ever got into their room. And when you leave, you leave your room key on a table in the entry hall. Honor system. Anyone can get into your room and whatever damage done will be on your tab. I wasn't comfortable with that.
No breakfast!
This establishment is called B&B but serves NO breakfast. Not even so much as a cup of tea. The name is very misleading!!
Would stay here again
The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful! The ability to store our bags before check-in was great. The room itself was well-maintained, a good size, and had a nice view. Convenient location to most tourist activities.
Easy access to everywhere, center location
Everything was fine but the only problem is with check out at 10:00 am ….we checked in at 8:00 pm and they asked us to leave at 10:00 am never heard about a hotel asking us to check out at 10:00 am way too early
The staff was amazing! You have to keep in mind if you want to stay in this part of Venice the buildings are old so its unfair to rate poor because you are going for the traditional experience. There are no elevators but the experience it’s beautiful!
First of all the property was hard to find. We were allowed to store our luggage until check in which was a plus. It would have been nice to know that we were going to be at the very top of the property and had to go up three flights of very steep stairs with all of our heavy luggage. Room was very clean, but curtains were torn and room looked dated. The worst part was the bed and pillows, hard as a rock! We felt like we were sleeping on a concrete floor. Staff was very and helpful.
Beautiful, quaint building, right on the canal, we had views of the canals, which was very nice. Pastry kiosk right around the corner, convenient to walking everywhere except the train station but there’s a water taxi that takes you fairly close. Listed as a B&B but we were never offered any breakfast of any kind. There is no lift, so you will have to carry your bags up several flights of stairs. Staff was nice, bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean. I would definitely stay here again. Staff did carry one of our bags up for us which was nice.
Let me first say that this was my 1st hotel stay in Venice so nothing to compare it to, but BEWARE! The woman at the front desk was pleasant. Then she brought us to our room up 3 very long and steep flights of stairs which we had to drag our luggage up. The bed was hard as a rock with springs pushing through all over. Literally like sleeping on rocks. We took 2 blankets from the closet to try and pad it. We initially picked this place because of location and free breakfast. Location was the only good thing, other than anytime you left you had to hike the stairs. Breakfast however was non-existent, not even coffee. Another couple also said their reservation included free breakfast so this was not an error on our part. When we returned to our room after dinner, we came upon a flood across the entire floor, no one at the desk, no extra towels. We did our best to clean it up and then it leaked constantly all night making it even harder to sleep. We tried to alert someone in the morning, but no one was there again. Later that evening we finally found someone at the desk and informed them. They came and put a bucket to catch the water hours later. So needless to say another night of dripping. We almost left the 1st night, but since it was only a 2 night stay we would stick it out. Maybe this place was great once upon a time, but it ruined our quick visit to Venice.
Really loved my stay here! Great canal view and cute space
The room and bathroom was super clean and nice perfect location!!!! But it was so hard to find the place !!!!! there is No signs with the name of hotel until you find the number of the adres and then you will see a little paper with the name of hotel on the door so it was a little convenient but after all it was perfect place one more thing it’s not for people with mobility problems there is no elevator and it’s a lot of stairs !!!!
We loved the beauty of this property. We had a canal view room on the top corner. Three windows with amazing views. Bathroom and shower was large, which is a plus in Italy. Our only issues is, that you can feel the springs in the bed. It would be perfect if they upgraded the mattresses.
I think it’s time for a new set of mattress and pillows. You could actually see and feel the mattress springs. Thank God was only one night.
Très propre et idéalement situé !! Chambre à la venesienne, beaucoup de charme. Nous avons passé un vrai séjour romantique :) Attention pas d’ascenseur pour les valises, mais le service est très aidant!
We had a great room that looked out over the canal. It also had a nice bathtub. It was comfy and we enjoyed the breakfast of bread and coffee each morning. The location was perfect. I can’t wait to go back!
Such a lovely spot and the view from our window was amazing. Location is really handy, with walking distance to ferry spots, via lots of lovely laneways with all kinds of shops. We enjoyed the breakfast included in our rates, which was a nice start to the day. Staff were very helpful, allowing an early check in on arrival, and storing our luggage after checkout. Worth checking this accommodation out.
The staff was amazing and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again
Check in was great. The employee who was doing our check in juggled 3 different groups who arrived at the same time very efficiently and in 3 different languages! Very professional and friendly.
Look no further than B&B Le Marie
Great location - close enough to the hustle and bustle of the city but just far away enough not to be bombarded by the crowds. The room was quite large and the beds were comfortable. Having a mini fridge and the beautiful windows looking out onto the canal was a great addition. Our room was on the top floor which was fine for a young couple such as ourselves but I definitely wouldn’t want to be lugging large suitcases up the stairs. The service was impeccable; we appreciated being able to leave our luggage with the B&B for quite a few hours on the day of checkout.
It’s an older building with a nice view on the canal. There is no elevator and room is located in the highest floor, so If you can’t walk the stairs, this would not be a place for you. Overall it’s a cute spot.
The property was away from the crowds and centrally located. The three flights of stairs was quite a woork out. The bed was hard as a rock and we could not use any of the kitchen equipment.
Loved the rustic feel of this property! It was quiet and homely! It had everything we needed for our short stay in Venice. It did take us a while to check out as the keys had to be handed in next door and as we had an early flight the door was still locked.
Really amazing
Great overall experience and price. Check In was great, staff really friendly and helpful (although reception had a yucky smell). 24 hour help available, room was spacious and clean with great view over the canal. Location was also great. Don’t use the link on the website, type the address in or you’ll end up lost. Unfortunately we couldn’t get breakfast. Only complaint was bed is pretty hard (and I like firm beds) and pillows also pretty flat and hard. Beware of 3 flights of stairs if your not very mobile. Would definitely stay again.
The best part of this property is it's location. Our room offered beautiful views of a canal and is just a few steps from a really great restaurant in Venice (ai Barbacani - must make a reservation). The hotel overall is very nice. However, we did think our room could have been a touch cleaner and also I needed an outlet in the bathroom and there was not one. We would still recommend the property, however, as everything else was really perfect.
Nice beginning of trips to Venice. I got a learning experience and next time will know the locations better along with everything else.
The room small but quaint, clean, and comfortable, overlooking a canal. The cost was reasonable. The stairs are rather formidable and would not be a good idea for anyone with a disability. And, hey, it's Venice!
We loved the location of B & B Le Marie! It's a quick walk to St Mark's Square or the Rialto Bridge yet it's away from the crowds. We caught a gondola ride outside the door and enjoyed watching them go by from our room. We had dinner in a restaurant on the adjacent square which was delicious and reasonably priced. The only downside is the hike up the three flights of stairs to get to the rooms. The stairs are steep and with heavy luggage it can be a challenge. We were expecting this though and managed just fine. The employees were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but tasty. We left feeling that we had experienced Venice to the fullest!
Beautiful large canal side room. Just beware 3 flights of stairs to clone to get to the room.
The location was hard to find but that was most spots in Venice. It was a great location for food, shopping and bars.
An okay hotel
Great location right on a canal. Our room didn’t have any view but the more expensive rooms might. Lots of steep stairs to get your luggage up but the front desk guy helped us which was nice service. Very clean. The bathroom was also very nice. The two main downfalls were first the bed. Most hotel beds aren’t very comfortable but this bed was by far the worst I’ve ever had. In fact, I’m pretty sure we were just sleeping on the box springs with no mattress at all as we could feel every spring. Maybe other rooms have a better mattress but our room was terrible. Also, I’ve never stayed in a hotel that was called a Bed and Breakfast that didn’t serve breakfast to every guest. But upon going into the dining room we were informed we didn’t have the breakfast included. I didn’t even realize it was a separate cost. The breakfast wasn’t like any other bed and breakfasts I’ve stayed at, more like a continental breakfast with a croissant and maybe a few other small things but I feel like giving every guest access to this breakfast is way more beneficial than having customers unexpectedly disappointed. That’s just my opinion. Or at least take the “B&B” part out of the name of the hotel. I probably wouldn’t have been as disappointed with the overall experience if these rooms were cheap but this hotel was way more expensive than any other hotel we have stayed in across europe so I think I expected a lot more. Also, no mini fridge if that’s important to you.
Great stay!
Gorgeous room with exposed beams, nice big bed. Lovely shower and so close to everything !
Horrible wifi ( didn't work, stafd gave us a private one), only 1 outlet worked, fridge was broken, staff didn't offer to assist myself and 70 yr old mother with her bags...up 3 flights of stairs!!! Hall lights, for when it's dark never ended up coming on, until I tripped my way to the staircase. No instructions on how to get in. Very dissatisfied with everything about our stay.
Great
Great place to stay. We stayed for one night. Lots of stairs to get to room but everything else was nice.
Great location, great service
We stayed at B&B Le Marie for 3 nights in August. Location and service were both top notch - It is a short walk to St Marks Square (but not too close to the madness), and the hotel offers a free shuttle to the island of Murano. But my favorite part of the stay was probably sitting by the window and watching all the gondolas and taxi boats go by in the canal below. I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I return to Venice.
Wonderful place, great location
Amazing stay in a beautiful town, and great location
Disappointed
Stayed here just for a night and regret it very much. Having such limited time in Venice, we wasted too much of our precious time dealing with air conditioning problems in the room. We went outside to get something to eat and when we came back it was still too hot in the room. Called the staff again and they set the remote again to “cold”. He said that the new setting is the coldest setting and the room would cold in a short time. We went out for a few hours enjoying our vacation only to come back to a room that was hotter than outside. Now a third time we asked for help and all we got was rudeness from one of the guys. At this point it was getting late and all we wanted was a nice cool room to settle in for the night. Dealing with the unfortunate situation, I asked if they could provide a room fan for the night which they refused immediately. So we asked for a new room, also “No”. Next they offered a 50% refund upon checkout. Not too bad, but there was no way to sleep. I again demanded help. Finally they offered a new room in a different hotel. By this time, it was 11pm. We didn’t want to pack everything up and trek across town to a new hotel. After refusing, they said they have a portable cooler for us. (Where was that when I asked before?) They went on their way grunting with no apologies and no sincerity. Even more, we were refused breakfast in the morning embarrassing us in from of all the other guests. 13 years on expedia, this is my first review. It’s that bad!!
Our stay was comfortable and we appreciated that the room was air-conditioned as it was quite hot during our time in Venice. The location was excellent, quiet while still a short walk to St. Mark's square and dining and shopping. Front desk staff was helpful with directions and wifi was satisfactory.
Quaint little hotel overlooking the canal
Place was very hard to find but once we found it it was easy to get around. V near the Rialto and San Marco . Room was very small and basic but at least it had airconditiong!
This B&B has an excellent location and is in the center to everything. We found a pharmacy, supermarket and multiple takeout restaurants nearby within less than 2 minutes walk. The room is clean and air conditioning works great and quitely. The lady who serves us breakfast makes authentic cappuccino. The one improvement needed is timely communication with customers. Before we got there, I tried to reach the reception desk multiple times through both email and phone but got no and/or delayed response.
Nice hotel but difficult to find
Venice is still lovely but even with a map tricky to get around
Nothing spectacular
This was my first experience at a B&B. Apparently in Italy, breakfast is NOT included in the room cost. The housekeeping person was very rude. The front desk person was also a bit rude. The location of this place is nearly impossible to find, and you have to walk 3 flights of steep stairs to get to the room. Clean towels daily are also NOT included with the room fee. Overall, it is a very romantic and quite place to stay. But don't expect any kind of hospitality and you won't be disappointed. EVERYTHING in Venice is quite expensive, but this room was well worth the money.
Pleasant stay
Staff friendly & helpful. Stayed in room 205- 3rd/top floor so expect steps to climb, limited views but not an issue. Great pillows, comfy bed & nice shower. Fridge is great. Very disappointed that breakfast was not included in price - this was not stated during booking process - should be advertised as room only not B&B. Location was excellent. Photos are outside accommodation & view from room.
Could use a more visible sign to be easier to find. Otherwise, it was as advertised. Would revisit.
The B&B was in a great location - convenient to attractions but not noisy. Staff was very friendly and helpful! It might be difficult for older guests, since all the rooms are up two flights of stairs but this wasn’t a problem for us. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others traveling to Venice!
Cute little bed and breakfast infront of a canal. The staff were friendly and inviting. Close proximity to restaurants and tourist sites. Laundromat just around the corner was convenient. Would highly reccomend.
Venice Gem
Beautiful, quaint, authentic old Italian B & B. Nice breakfast. Wonderful location. A little hard to find at first but everyone gets lost in Venice. Beautiful, large room on the top floor with three windows overlooking 2 small canals. We loved it! Would happily stay there again.
Perfect location..very quiet..but steps away from the action..7 mins to st.marc ..breakfast was perfect. Very clean
Clean, functional, good location, lovely staff
Enjoyed our stay here, rooms are functional (but basic) - however, everything you need for a busy weekend exploring in Venice. Very friendly staff and no problems referring this to a friend
Nice hotel, close to everything
We had a great experience here all round - easy check in and out, lovely breakfast, great staff, nice views from room. A little challenging but fun to find
Very nice
Overall experience was positive. The owner is nice, genuine and very helpful. Location is easy to find. The place is clean and breakfast is good. I enjoyed my stay!
nice B & B in the middle of Venice
we found Venice very nice for a 3 night stay a little expensive But for a tourist place you expect it wish is a shame
Great location!!!
We really enjoyed staying at the B&B Le Marie. It was quite a value for your $$. But note... no elevator...my daughter & I are in relatively good shape so the 3 flights of stairs were not a big deal but may be difficult for older people or guests with many bags. It is an 8 minute walk from the Realto boat launch where we got off our boat from the airport. You will need your phone gps the whole time in Venice. The little streets are very confusing and there are like 5 ways to get to St Mark's square from the B&B. I highly recommend doing the Murano, Burano side excursion if you have an open day on your visit. Anyway... we will come back to B&B Le Marie again.
overall good stay, breakfast staff not welcoming.
We loved our stay here!
We couldn’t have booked a better place for our stay in Venice. We had a lovely room overviewing the canal, 5 minutes walk to Piazza San Marco, Rialto bridge and many shops and restaurants. Pierluigi and Paola were two wonderful hosts, we are really grateful for all their assistance during our time there. Highly recommended!!!
Nice place
Super gelegen, toller Kanalblick, gut zu Fuß alles erreichbar
Gracias

We loved the location. Close to everything but away from the busy tourist areas.
