The customer service from the start was wonderful. Great communication. Friendly. Answered all our questions clearly. Additionally, the hotel is clean and quiet. The staff clearly takes pride in providing solid value.
Overall great place to stay, especially if you're on a budget and want to stay within Rome – so would definitely come back. The area is quite dodgy, lots of graffiti, and I wouldn't recommend walking towards the train station as it feels more like Naples than Rome. Still, there's a good transport connection, supermarkets and pizzerias in the area. There is an off-street parking outside, which could be quite busy, so you might need to wait until you get a space. To pay for parking you can use Easypark app, just don't forget to put a note on the windscreen mentioning that you paid with the app. There's also a parking garage nearby. You can also find a few free parking spaces, but after seeing broken glass from a car window, you'd probably change your mind about parking there. The room was quite comfy, breakfast options were pretty basic. There is a kettle downstairs in the communal area with some cups and cutlery.
Awesome hotel, easy checkin, great location, and a great deal
I stayed here because I wanted to be close to the train and that was a little silly because it’s a 30 min walk.
Great hotel
Nice hotel. Good rooms. Lovely bathrooms. All very clean. Handy to have a fridge. Staff are great. Very helpful.
Graffiti were everywhere but it looks safe enough during day time.
The hotel was very clean and safe. I had a great night staying there.
Nice Stay
Nice little hotel in Rome! Unfortunately, the bed and pillows were really uncomfortable but everything else was awesome!
Gem in disguise
The staff at this hotel was amazingly friendly and helpful (Salvatore!). The area looks a little sketchy but it’s actually a vibrant and fun area filled with university students ie:Great affordable bars and restaurants. The hotel seems a bit like an upscale hostel at first, rooms small, but the beds, linens, luggage storage were some of the best on our entire trip!
Friendly staff
I love this hotel
Great staff, in a quiet and clean hotel. Loved the fridge in the room for cool drinks while the weather heated up. The microwave and communal facilities were lovely too. The main stations are a bit too far to walk with suitcases and we didn't feel safe on public transport. But easy enough to walk about and get an uber.
Overall really good
Property was very clean, and the staff was super helpful. During the time I stayed I also enjoyed their continental breakfast, which was not only delicious but also low cost. Definitely recommend for solo travelers.
I enjoyed the cleanliness and the focus on sustainability. The room was comfortable, the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was fantastic.
It is comfortable and have a good sleep
The Rome Hotel Sanz Lorenzo Termini is reachable by both main rail station Rome Termini or Tirburtino. From Rome Station you can use take a bus either 492 or 72 which takes you to the main road (5mins walk to hotel) or Metro from Rome Termini to Policlinico Station and then catch a tram 3L/19 which stops 2mins from hotel. It is walkable 15-20mins but if you have luggage or if it's late at night best to use public transport which is cheap €1.50 for a single journey. Location of hotel may not be central and scenic (lots of graffiti in the surrounding area, can't fault the hotel for this). Staff are welcoming and speak good English. The room is as shown on the pictures. It is modern with a smart TV and mini bar (fridge) which you can stock up. I would say the small double bed could benefit from an additional pillow option. Breakfast is in the form of a continental buffet style and staff once again ensure everything is prepared and stocked up alongside ensuring the breakfast room is clean. There are microwaves available to use in the hotel alongside being able to purchase food and hot drinks throughout the day which is a nice touch, this is something which is often neglected by at other hotels as they are keen for you to use their restaurant. If you are looking for a bed & breakfast hotel with modern simplistic looks, I would highly recommend B&B Hotels group. I really enjoyed my stay and I will use once again in the future.
First trip to Rome
Having not stayed in Rome before, walking down the graffiti clad streets (taxi driver dropped us at the wrong end of the street) at night to the Hotel was somewhat intimidating. However on arrival the the Hotel it was like an Oasis; bright, clean and friendly staff. Although it took about an hour or so to walk into the City Centre each morning, we didn't mind this as it gave us an opportunity to see parts of the City we would not have seen had we stayed Centrally. The area of San Lorenzo which we learned was a student area came slightly alive at night and we found a couple of really nice bars / restaurants. So much better than the Touristy places n the Centre. I think we should have done some research before our trip and perhaps the above would not have been a surprise. Having said all that, it was a great few days. I'd recommend it if you don't mind walking although I'm sure with a bit of effort, public transport to the Centre could be found.
Great B&B with all the amenities you wanted. Walkable distance from the main train station with lots of restaurnts nearby
All employees are extremely friendly and helpful in every way. Hotel and room are very clean and convenient. Breakfast is not expensive and is very good. Shower is rather small but it seems to be the norm in Italy. Bathroom is very good size and extremely clean. All amenities in hotel and room are excellent. Loved this hotel and would look forward to stay in other B&B hotels when I travel again.
Good
Na
It was all very good - good quality, very reasonably priced, and a very good location for the event I was participating in nearby. One problem is that there is no good direct transport to either of the two big train stations - not something the hotel can do much about, but it was a factor for me.
I had credit card fraud. I called the hotel immediately as soon as I saw the transaction (less than 5 minutes). The lady at the front desk, Catrina told me to contact Expedia to help me and refund me. I called Expedia and they were more than willing to help, they just needed approval from the hotel. The hotel manager Daniele would not approve of the cancellation. I called the hotel back, to understand Why they couldn’t help, and Catrina was extremely rude. I was told that whoever shows up for the room, and shows the booking confirmation will be given the room. I told her that whoever shows up is not me, as I am not even in Rome and someone who stole my card. She told me it was okay anyways, they just need the booking number. This is frightening, to know they let anyone into their hotel, knowing it is not the person for the booking. They were not helpful, and very very rude and mean to be honest. I hope that if this happens to them one day, the person on the other end is more than willing to help them. Do not stay here!!!!!!!!! You don’t know who they allow into their hotel!!!
Incredible place
Experience was amazing, the desk staff were very helpful. The hotel is located about 45 mins - an hour away walk from the centre of Rome, which is not a problem if you like to take in the authentic and less touristy Roman sights. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the aircon was a lifesaver. I was really impressed.
Clean and conveniently located hotel. New and updated rooms. A great place to stay if you’re stopping through Rome!
The hotel is very well run and the staff at every level are excellent - friendly, interested, and accommodating. The hotel is in the university quarter. It’s was great walking out late, listening to the hum of young people as they gathered in cafes and bars
Great location!
Great place with nice breakfast.
The property is close to the academic institutions and universities of Rome. The property itself is very simple. Rooms are clean (no mold in my very new bathroom) and small (with the bed at the entry). I did not find any osterias or trattorias in the near vicinity. The public transportation is limited in that area, with a few buses and a tram, and they require at least a 15-minute walk to get to the stations.
Great hotel and location
Large room and bathroom, very clean and everything as expected. Check in and out was simple and staff were friendly. Solid location for a visit to Rome.
Everything was great. The location, cleanliness and service staff. Daniele was very attentive with us since before arriving answering all our questions. Also the other staff were very helpful and friendly. Thanks
This B&B is apparently newer for the group and you can tell! The rooms were more spacious than I've seen in other similar hotels in Italy and I appreciated the daily breakfast as well as the snack options available for purchase. The room fridge also came in handy as well as a communal toaster oven/microwave for leftovers. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but it connects with some tram lines. It was clean, staff extremely courteous and helpful, and for a solo female traveler, I always felt safe!
Although I'm satisfied with the services, single rooms are advertised as 14m2 however they are actually around 10m2 according to their own floor plans. Minor things as no towels on the second day after cleaning, and no cleaning on day 4 aren't the biggest issues either. Comfy bed and shower, a bit off the beaten track, but grabbing public transport or and electric scooter makes your life much easier when in Rome.
Updated, Clean, Cool — 20 min walk to center
It’s a comfortable, low key place. Somewhere between a hotel and a hostel. It’s on the edge of the cool San Lorenzo neighborhood, but unfortunately a little far from public transportation (not a unique thing for Rome though). Overall, it is clean, large and updated rooms, and generally helpful staff.
The hotel was very clean, and very convenient to the rails. We would definitely stay again!
Second stay, just as great as the first
Second time staying in this hotel. Stayed in a single room this time. Loved my second stay as much as the first. Really comfy beds, amazingly fast wifi as long as you use the connect code from the TV, not the generic one. The hotel staff are all very nice and helpful, the area is quiet and walkable, many nice restaurants around the corner and down the street, a 24hr grocery chain about 2 mins away, okay breakfast, clean rooms, and very good value for money. Would stay again for sure.
Very good value for money
Very comfortable hotel. The wifi was great. You need to turn on the TV to get the code and it changes often so you might need to update to a new code a few times a day. But it is a very high quality connection. If you try to use the generic wifi login via the webpage, that is not as good. The room is very comfortable, the beds are comfy, the area is a 25 min walk from Termini station but it is quiet, with some nice restaurants in the area. The breakfast is okay. The staff are very nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay again. Especially because it is very good value for money.
nearly 24/7 reception was good, nothing was bad. I really like staying there
Perfect
Very friendly place, I can absolutely recommend
Very clean, friendly staff, felt very high-class and safe. Easy to get to, but out of the way enough to avoid main traffic. Large, spacious rooms with ample ammenities - will definitely stay again! Highly recommend for anyone staying in Rome.
The staff were amazing and the most helpful people you could ask for. If you’re a non Italian speaking I would 100% recommended staying here. The room was nice and well worth the price.
Clean , good&professional staff, using of English language is very ok.Near to tram transport station, using 3 and 19 trams,in 10-15 minutes acces all important station .Near to metro station Mazoni, from that point acces to Vatican area.Pizza and trattoria restaurants near.It is like a pearl hide...
Super clean ,friendly employees ,super super good breakfast. I will stay there again
Overall I enjoyed my experience at this hotel. Room: The room was spacious, well lit, clean and comfortable! I stayed in a double room which was supplied with two bath towels, two hand towels and a bath mat towel. The bathroom came equipped with a hose to make the toilet like a bidet. Bathroom lighting was great for doing makeup. The SmartTv was excellent when I used it. The room was comfortably warm, window curtains did a good job keeping the cold out in addition to the heating. Storage: The clothing storage was sufficient for me, carry on bag of clothes, it was a single rack closet unit ikea style. There was also a fridge under it. Outlets: One outlet by the phone with two USB outlet ports and regular ports in addition to non USB outlet ports on both sides of the bed. Also an outlet in the bathroom near the vanity and hair dryer (dryer had a concentrator). Only downside that I could find was that the outlets only worked when the room lights were on- not sure if I just didn’t understand or if my room was off or if that’s how it works. Be sure to check and ask unless you like sleeping with a night light on. Location: my room was on the 0 floor so I could hear everything outside! Not a bad thing if you enjoy hearing people chatting, walking by, cars, etc. The hotel itself is located on a quaint street about a 25min walk from Termini station. Take the 71 nearby to Trevi, Spanish Steps, Pantheon and Termini (then Metro B to Colosseo). 19 tram to Vatican museum.
Nice & clean hotel. Looks new. The staff was lovely. Breakfast was good & despite other negative reviews I personally thought it was worth the 7 euros. The location might not be ideal if you want to be in the "centre-centre", but the tram stop Reti is just a minute away from the hotel. The location also offers the advantage of being nearby local restaurants with real local prices & real local food (as opposed to tourist areas). I would stay there again.
Nice and clean room, efficient and friendly staff.quick chek in and chek Out 12:00 its realy comfortable.I recommend it but only one problem for car parking,so if any one with car bear it on .
Incredible value. Modern and sophisticated.
Such an amazing value! Beautiful hotel and the price was fantastic. I was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel room was completely clean, beds were comfortable and not too firm. The bathroom was super modern.
LIKES: Locality- excellent for my specific needs/ transport used tram 3 and bus 71. Staff were welcoming and informative of Rome and surroundings. ALL staff polite and supportive of needs. Desk staff both day and night available and approachable. Products available very good. Suggestions: Room was perfect, but needs drawers for clothes, my room had space for this. Had to keep tops and underwear in suitcase on floor. Also a rack of hooks for coats and day bags near door would be good.
The staff very very responsive, polite, and friendly. The place provides a great value, but it's about a 25 minute walk from the Rome train station. The rooms are very new and very clean. Although, I thought the foam mattress was too soft. The breakfast was pretty good, but I didn't like the eggs which were made from a liquid.
5 star hotel m!
It was amazing! Clean and comfortable rooms.
Great place don’t stay in a garden room!
They put me in a garden room bad because noise in the mornings and when it’s raining you must go outside to use the microwave!
San Lorenzo stay
Great hotel in San Lorenzo. We specifically wanted to stay in this neighbourhood but it is further out from the main city/attractions. Around 20 euro in a taxi but there are trams and metro stops near by. Area is very casual - with lots of bars and restaurants that aren’t too pricey. Hotel was new, service was brilliant and would highly recommend. Beds were comfortable and area felt safe.Great value for money.
Cream of the crop! 10 out of 10 top of the line!
Font desk was the most helpful and friendly every! 10 of 10 in every way great stay will go there next time in Rome!
Vale a pena
Personale molto gentile e professionale.
Self check in e vicina a tutto. Grazie mille 👌
Vicinanze stazione, zona Sapienza
Fint, pænt hotel!
Pænt, rent værelse. Venligt personale. Ingen problemer.
Pulito, comodo, personale molto gentile e disponibile, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Esperienza pienamente soddisfacente.
Alles Bestens.
Ottima struttura, accogliente e personale gentile e disponibile.
It was a great stay. I slept and rested a lot.
Ottima colazione, molto varia e prodotti freschi. Camera bella e pulita
Personale molto disponibile e gentile. Ritornerò
Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter!
Friendly environment
We had a nice stay with my family. Daniele, receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Hotel is very clean and beds are comfortable. We will stay there again.
Che bella sorpresa! Economico e ottimi standard
Struttura recente con ottimi standard qualitativi. Colazione di buona qualità
Superbe!
Excellent rapport qualité-prix.
very good
friendly staff new and spacious rooms and bathroom for Rome terms eating and shops in area wifi was not good working on groundfloor
