The hoists Joanne and Chris were lovely and very informative about the area. The room in the barn was great, clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast and facilities, all in all a fantastic experience.

Very nice stay. We had the apartment room and were able to use the full kitchen. Nice stay, even with the stairs. Excellent host. Highly recommend.

Fabulous view of the bay. Wonderful hosts. Good breakfast. The room was adequate in size. Small bathroom. Very clean. Outside of room there was fridge , coffee maker , water and a lovely balcony. The property was gorgeous.

This property is well maintained, nicely decorated in the interior, jovial innkeepers/owners & lovely location. Jo made breakfast for my ALPHA-GAL allergies that was fantastic!

Highly recommend

Highly recommend this charming place near Mahone Bay. We stayed three days and enjoyed it so much. It was more like staying with family. Extra towels were easily accessible. There was a cloth for cleaning up spills. It just felt very homey. The breakfasts were delicious and the couple that own it were friendly and helpful with any questions about the area. Stay here if in the area. You won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely beautiful area. Hosts were top noch. Room was in a converted 200 year old barn and was spacious and well appointed. Would definitely stay again.

Chris and Joanna are the owners of the property. They are really nice people. The location of the inn is right by the water. You can see the boats from your room. It’s so quiet. It’s relaxing to walk on the property. The building is kind of old but in good condition.

The whole experience was restful and a pleasure. Chris and Johanna treat you like family. Their suggestions of roads to take, places to see, and things to do were spot on. Hope to stay there again in the future.

We stayed 4 nights and wish we could have stayed longer! The property is absolutely beautiful, with views of the water on both sides. Chris and Joanna were delightful hosts and served a delicious breakfast every morning in the dining room. Within close driving distance of Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. We are already planning a trip back b/c we enjoyed ourselves so much.

The area is beautiful and safe. Chris and Jo were very friendly and made excellent recommendations of the area's attractions. Breakfasts were delicious. This place makes one feel at home.

We liked that it had a rural feel and we had great views all around being on a ridge. The property had a rustic feel,however better attention to details within is advised. Very generous with the complimentary extras that they provide the guests with. Overall a peacful relaxing environment surrounded by nature. Definately worth a trip back. guest with small details within

Joanna is so kind and accommodating! My partner is vegan and we emailed beforehand to ask about breakfast menu options and she said she was open to our suggestions. When we arrived, she was prepared with breakfast accommodations and even made what we had asked for. Thanks so much! On the negative side, the B&B does not have air conditioning and we stayed during a heat wave so the heat was quite unpleasant. Other than that though, Bayview Pines is great!

Maine Bay Stay

One of our best stays, wonderful hosts, beautiful views of the Bay, very nice room and bed. Access to outside deck was nice. Excellent breakfast included. Exceptional service! Only a few km north of Mahone Bay, very quiet.

It was a quiet country setting. The fire pit by the ocean was awesome for watching the moon rise over the bay and sipping on hot tea.

Ultra clean, private balcony with great view, suberb hosts with a homecooked breakfast.

Perfect view of the water, they even had seating for us to use right on the beach. Homemade breakfast with amazing service. Joanna and Chris were very inviting and welcoming felt like I was spending the weekend at my nans house. We already can’t wait to go back!

The facility was excellent. It had great views of the bay. The breakfasts were excellent.

This was a perfect get away. The property is well located very well Kept. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and the breakfasts are great. Joanne and Chris were the perfect hosts and we would definitely stay again. A very enjoyable holiday - thank you

The hostess was lovely and the breakfasts very very good. We loved that we could walk to the end of the driveway and sit in chairs provided at the Bay.

The area was a gentle slope overlooking the Bay, large manicured lawns, peaceful, with wildlife nearby. The accommodations were spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The atmosphere was very restful. I would stay here again in a minute.

When you drive up to the property the houses sit atop a hill on an open front and back with great views 360 degrees of the water. There are deer that occasionally pop up in the morning and evening. Access to the town and surrounding attractions. Gorgeous breakfasts.

Perfect place to call home for your stay!

The hosts were wonderful- accommodations were great. Our room was in the barn and really nice. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented each of our 3 days. The Mahone Bay Area is breathtaking - lots of cute shops and restaurants nearby. Would absolutely recommend this gorgeous Inn.

Such a lovely, restful property. A 15 minute drive from Mahone Bay village. Gracious hosts, tasty breakfasts. And deer!!!!

Lovely hosts, fabulous breakfast, rooms were clean. Just outside room was small fridge, coffeemaker for early coffee. Close to good restaurants, attractions. We stayed during a very hot spell, no AC but ceiling fan/floor fan helped some but still uncomfortable sleeping. AC would have made it perfect. NS just isn’t suppose to be this hot.

Beautiful views

This location was beautiful and quiet but still close to restaurants and shops in Mahone Bay. The Inn keepers were really helpful and breakfast very tasty.

Great location and English hospitality

Very comfortable and relaxing accommodations in a great location for exploring Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. Would return of in area, hosts were super friendly and gracious. Stayed in converted barn room, very nice.

Beautiful Peaceful Setting

The setting for this property is gorgeous. The breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the location. It is a distance from the village but the owners couldn't be more helpful with giving us ideas and directions.

Outstanding B & B, Wonderful Hosts!

We had an absolutely perfect stay at Bayview Pines. This is a beautifully appointed, comfortable accommodation in a spectacular location, overlooking Mahone Bay. It was great to be a bit of a ways out of town, but close enough to get there easily. The innkeepers, Chris and Joanna, made us feel welcome, were generous in helping us plan our stay, and couldn't have been more gracious. Our breakfasts were delicious, especially the blueberry pancakes, and were beautifully served. We will definitely return, very soon we hope!

Beautiful views close to Mahone Bay

While traveling through Nova Scotia for 2weeks, we stayed at 9 different properties. This was our last one. I was hesitant to book it because it seemed from the description that it was way out of town. If this is your concern , do not hesitate. To get to the hotel you just make one turn at the end of the Main Street of Mahone Bay. Then it is a beautiful drive straight to the property. We stayed for two nights in room number 2. It was in the main house at the front. We had a beautiful view of the water. The hotel is perched up on a hill. There is outside space in the back if you want to relax and enjoy the view. There is also a rocky beach with a bench across the road if you want to enjoy the water. The room was spacious, light and airy. We had windows on two sides so our room was very cool. The room does not have air conditioning but we really didn't need it. The property uses well water so the water pressure is tricky if someone is taking a shower at the same time you are. There is a coffee pot in the hall but it just so happens it wasn't working the two mornings we were here. I don't think this is a permanent issue. You have access to a shared refrigerator. Breakfast is served nicely with an appetizer of fruit and yogurt. There is one hot selection each day. One day we had French toast. The next day there were scrambled eggs. At breakfast you share tables with other guests. In groups of 4. You can plot your time to eat so that perhaps you can have your own table.

A very clean, tidy and quiet place. Will definitely use Bayview Pines again.

it is very nice, they have 14 acres and a forest behind, looked out onto the bay. beautiful views, the breakfast was fantastic, poached eggs on english muffin, bacon, yorgurt, fruit, coffee and toast if you want, juice and coffee, loved it

This was a wonderful place. It has a great view.

I would recommend this bed and breakfast type place to anyone. The room was great and cozy and clean. The view was fantastic and the breakfast was super. We loved it.
