Dissatisfied in Greenville North Carolina

My family and I occupied three suites ours left much to be desired and was the best of the three, my daughters and their children were moved to different rooms one of which was in such bad condition she and her children went back to the first room that had not been cleaned and cleaned it themselves just to be able to have a place to sleep for the night. Although there was a sign stating that they were remodeling the issues were not that of remodeling but clearly those of neglect.I purchased the three suites for Thanksgiving needless to say were very glad I was glad I cut our stay a day short and we checked out on Saturday morning to travel back to our home.

Booked a 3 night stay here. Room was dirty upon check in. Lightbulbs were missing in some of the lamps, ceiling in bathroom was peeling. Every metallic surface in the room was rusted, including the overhead light in the bathroom and the fridge. The room did smell decent, and towels and linen were at least clean.

I understand that the hotel was in refurbishment stage but the simple things matter. Firstly I was given a second floor room even though I requested a first floor because of my sciatica, the receptionist on night duty didn't care. It was like I was disturbing his sleep. Secondly there was human hair in the bathroom sink and shower. My door wouldn't lock so i was upgraded to a suit next door #265. I had to find out how the AC works. Then the bathroom tissue ran out. There was no extra so I had to order online. The front desk didn't take the call and I wasn't going to go to the lobby with my paining leg so i ordered online with uber. worst WORST 7 days i spent at a hotel

Baymont By Wyndham Greenville, NC To whom this may concern, My husband and I recently stayed at the Baymont by Wyndham in Greenville, NC. The establishment was advertised as a very nice place to stay. Upon arrival we discovered otherwise. The lobby was dark and unwelcoming, the staff were nice and courteous however. When approaching our room would could see cracks in the stairs and walk ways to the rooms. When entering our room number 210, we noticed a damp feeling and smell. There was mold in the ceiling in several spots (photos attached). The sink was clogged and had difficulty draining. The sink also leaked, I notified the hotel front desk. The hair dryer was coming off the wall and barely worked. The tub was in poor shape (photos attached). The couch has frays on the edges and had an awful smell (photo attached). The refrigerator worked well but was in poor shape externally. There was no room service the 3 days we stayed. We had to use dirty towels for 2 days. We had to ask for toilet paper and towels at the end of day three. This experience was less than satisfactory and a complete disappointment. Both my husband and I were itching through out our entire stay. I saw no evidence of bed bugs but we were very disgusted. ECU was playing at home and there were no rooms available. We finally found the Baymont through Expedia and took it. We just needed to shower and sleep so it was ok. I wouldn’t book this hotel on purpose. There is no level of clean to speak of. I will say that the beds were clean and the pillows great. Just not the surfaces, floors or bathroom. Also our room needed many repairs.

The rooms are an absolute dump. Ceilings are falling apart. Everything metal is rusted including all the bathroom fixtures, the lights, everything. Staff is really nice and they try to be helpful, but they are working very very little in terms of resources.

Old facility - but room was clean.

This is a very old structure in need of a complete overhaul. Housekeeping seems to be doing a good job of keeping it clean. The floors had been upgraded to a wood laminate. Although there is paint peeling from the ceiling, etc., the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The shampoo dispenser was broken and the toilet paper holder was half falling out of the wall. The towel rack was bent and there is no bathroom ventilation and the area around the ceiling light is corroded. In spite of all the overall physical dilapidation, we slept well and the room was clean.

The upstairs walkway was nasty and deteriorating, did not want to sit in chair, mattress was likely 30 to 40 years old, countertop lamp has rust all over it, poorly patched holes in wall, hair drier had browning buildup of (dust, hairspray and age on the cord and other parts) wife noir I would use, toilet would not stay up had to use 1 hand to hold it up, did not want to lean back sitting on toilet, use my clothes from the day before wipe my feet on before getting into bed each time, would only pull sheet up during night, TV would not stay on mor than a few seconds and that would come on and off without the use of the remote had ,staff said they did not have anyone to help at that hour had to reach behind TV to unplug, we were uncomfortable staying there, but it was a later hour when we got to room and had others in other rooms also. Went to one of the other rooms and it stunk of cigarettes.

My Room Had Cockroaches

My stay was marred with cockroaches coming from behind the couch and near the television. I could not continue my stay. The front desk offered to exchange my room, but my mind was made up. I check out about two hours after checking in.

No soap dispenser in shower, soap dispenser at sink empty tissue dispenser empty furniture ripped & torn exterior of property dirty lobby entrance filthy exterior lights not working. a flop house I left early could not take it any longer. That hotels.com should even list this place reflects badly on hotels .com. Wyndham should be embarrassed to have their Brand and Name associated with this place.

I think the property is undergoing renovations, but I'm not sure. I never saw anyone working on the property. The staff spent a lot of time smoking as they cleaned rooms. A cat had lived in our room for a long time. The pet odor was disgusting. The wifi didn't work. The floors were filthy. Outlets didn't work, and neither did the hairdryer. The room was so awful we had no stomach to try the breakfast. The property is being neglected which is obvious if one takes a critical look at the lobby - dying plants, dirty water dispenser, dark lighting, messy reception area.

The hotel was extremely run down. Some of the rooms are blocked when it's plywood there's a trash can place directly in front of my room door. A trash can receptacles where they place the trash collected for each day was overrunner and disgusting looking. It did have a pool . But the condition of the grounds made me very concerned as of the pool was maintained. Upon entering my motel room I immediately went to check to see how the bathroom looked there was hair in the bathtub the ceiling was stain in general not a good clean feeling.

Worst hotel in Greenville! Inside was absolutely run down, dirty towels were provided, walls and ceiling were filthy. Outside the room was also filthy with cockroaches running around. Breakfast was limited but we did not partake because the cockroaches were running all over it too. Very disappointed that the Wyndham name was on this property.

I did not like the fact that I had to change rooms three times. First room was locked from the inside even the staff could not unlock it. Second room had no safety latch - completely torn off. Third room woke up the entire floor even between the beds was wet. We got upgraded to a suite which was nice but not all that clean found old food near the lounge chair. Beneath our room was a boarded up window. What I saw on the internet did not look anything like it was in person. The whole hotel was outdated and needed to be renovated. My family who lives in the area stated it was not a good place to state - I should consulted with them before I booked it. Overall I was very disappointed and will never stay there again.

The room was set at 60 degrees and the mirrors and table tops and floor was moist. Thank God my husband of 86 didn’t fall. The manager came to our room and told us no charge for the night and he was very sorry. If it hadn’t been so late we would have found so else. I’m sending yo the paper that the manger Raj Parimutuel gave us and said no charge.

The room had visible mold on the ceilings and bathroom, half of the light switches did not work, the AC also smelled like mold. And the room felt very damp. There were also beer bottles and cigarette butts littering the grounds. The manager seemed apologetic, but the property is not well maintained.

The hotel was old and yes I can understand what comes with that like outdated fixtures, etc. First room was so humid you could see moisture on the floor. Went to dinner came back and noticed the bedding and my hanging clothes were damp. Got moved to another room that seemed fine but next morning the floor was wetter than the room we moved from. I know it wasn't a 5 star hotel, but never experienced anything like that before. I will never stay at Baymont again. Hope noone slips and falls on those wet floors. Better yet just shut that place down. It should be condemned.

Paint was falling off the ceiling, dresser drawer was broken, the TV remote was missing and the substitute didn’t work, and the room had a funky smell.

Friendly staff was a plus. Luggage carts were not easily driven across the uneven outside pavement. No concierge service nor bellhop available to help with luggage. Hot breakfast items were at a minimum, but the area was clean and staff freely gave trays. We would choose this site again.

No soap or other cleaning agents except body wash, shampoo, and conditioner (attached to shower wall). Only one set of stairs on each side of property so access to 2nd floor rooms is very convenient. Memorial Drive traffic can be noisy at night. Lots of bums and other ghetto denizens like to loiter around.

We stay here often

We travel very frequently for business and this is a place I pick regularly. It's not the greatest but it's definitely not the worst. Customer service is outstanding, coffee in the room and a pool in the summer. I definitely recommend it.

Stains on all the furniture in the room on the stairs there is a metal piece not secured and my daughter almost fell down the lobby dirty just not worth the money

The staff was cordial and professional. There was noise (verbal fighting/arguing) one night that made me uneasy and unable to sleep. The breakfast was good and adequate.

I was allowed to check in early and actually left at the normal check-in time without asking for a refund..air conditioner didn't work..too much foot traffic in parking lot during the day o could only wonder what sunset would bring so i left before finding out🤔

First room AC didn’t work. Second room AC worked but a few lights didn’t work. Rusty door jams. Ok value for the rate but not sure I would book again. Seemed to need some maintenance overall.

It was ok

It’s an older property that is going thru renovations so visually not appealing. Power was out in half the room including tv and fridge. It was an ok stay but expected more for the rate.
