Nice room with very large bed and modern bathroom

Check-in was great. Every staff member from front desk agents to housekeepers were friendly and great. I liked that they allowed us to store our bags in the secured closet hours before check in so we could go on and about. Room was clean and comfortable with no issues whatsoever. For some reason the "veggies" I got in Amsterdam the night before gave me the munchies so I'm thankful for the vending machine in the lobby.

Good hotel

Good hotel for the price. Everything was up to date. Only an over night stay so didn’t need any services. Would stay again if I was in the area.

Nice 1 night stay

Lovely modern rooms, spacious and clean. We were only there 1 Night, but very happy overall. We would visit again.

We visited Tilburg and were very happy with the hotel.

The room is good size and FREE parking , can easily walk to the city centre and good if you are going to see concert there ( pop podium 013 ) about a 20 minutes walk to the centre and 013 .

They tried to charge me a late checkout fee of 30 Euro for being there 1 extra hour after I was feeling really sick during my last night. This had never been a big deal anywhere else. After Awakenings festival there was almost nobody there anyway. Ridiculous! Also the property needs to do some renovation, some stuff is pretty outdated.

Aly over having travelled from Channel Tunnel on the way to efteling. Hotel was easy to find with a clean and pleasant reception. Receptionist was professional and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Good hotel, great staff.

I liked the Bastion Hotel although it is not especially attractive it does everything it needs to. The room was clean, the bathroom had a good shower and it all works as it should. it is a little bit out of the way for the old town but just a few mins in a taxi. The central station is also just a few minutes in a cab or about 30 minutes walk. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. Every one I came into contact with was very pleasant and helpful, they made the stay during strange covid times easier and I would use the hotel again purely because of their efforts.

comment re service at reception

Service at reception desk was good at check-in and check-out. Out of hours mixed service quality. Got back from concert at 23.45 and was told by ill humoured lady that A) the bar had been closed 15ms earlier and B) she would not serve me any more orange juice as the final counts had already been made. Was C) redirected towards drink automat in lobby (where I had to pay 3 Euros for small bottle of water). No word of regret, no intention to go the extra mile, no kindness or politeness, no explanation about there being 2 bottles of water available in my room (which I discovered later)...Think this particular employee could have done better, just displaying nothing other than politeness....

A nice large twin room which was clean and well furnished. The bathroom was very modern (wet room type) and finished to a high specification. The room contained a small fridge which was useful during the stay. The staff were very friendly and all guests received welcome gifts, which was a very nice touch. I would definitely book to stay at this hotel again and it has the added bonus of being very close to some local shops and is walkable distance (15 minutes) to Tilburg city centre.

Lovely stay. Pillows are not good. Pair of boxer shorts were left in our bedroom. Great breakfast and the staff are a credit to the hotel trade. Wouldn't get the friendliness in the uk!

Bastion hotel Tilburg

A really nice hotel,the rooms are very spacious with coffee machine, fridge and safe. Free parking and only a 15 minute walk to the centre, the breakfast bar had a good selection of food and drinks. Overall I was impressed by the hotel.

No double beds available, matrass was very bed for MY back, way to soft. Forgot to clean my room for a day, windows don't open. Still pretty good got the price, great breakfast, clean. Superb walk inn showers.

Quiet clean hotel.

Very quiet and clean hotel. Wish they had a queen or king bed option but slept well regardless. Convenient free parking.

Decent stay in a clean, comfortable room. Was only there one night. Could have done with an extra pillow as only one each provided.

Nice place

A nice hotel...not exactly in the downtown core. Reception was really good. They were social and very sweet. Rooms were nice. Beds were fine. Good price for what we needed. Was just for a one night stay! Nothing to complain about. It worked for us!

Quite, mostly comfortable, overall very good.

I used the hotel during the Roadburn festival. It was a comforable stay. The beds were ok (I am over 6' so a bit short) (twin deluxe room), just needed an extra pillow which I feel should be kept in a room like that. The staff were very good, helpful when required and overall the rooms were spacious and clean. However I found my room not cleaned on one of the 5 days I stayed which was unusual. I am used to rooms being cleaned every day. My only real issue is the nighttime access. As contactless cards are used I would prefer that you can use them to enter the hotel after 'dark', rather than buzz the desk to come and let you in manually. As no checks were made to show them we were guests. One thing I did very much like was that a bottle of water was left after the rooms were cleaned, very welcome after a night on the beers and food and music. I can recommend very much.

Hotel's location was a bit out of the way, but was serviced adequately by buses nearby. Hotel was kept clean and tidy

The hotel is close to town. We had a nice view from our room. Couldn't hear noise from outside. Overall is an OK hotel, nevertheless the beds and pillows weren’t good and the room didn’t have dark enough curtains.

Great Hotel if you got a car

+s: free parking, decent breakfast, calm and clean rooms, fridge in the room, proper AC, free water bottels -s: internet speed was decent but WiFi coverage was not impresive, considering the distance to the down town could be great to have bike rental service, water pressure in the shower was somehow low

1 night stay for business reasons, good hotel and the location was ideal for me.

Under Construction

Very "efficient" accommodation nearby some major roads. They were building a new section of the hotel when we stayed; the noise started very early. Generally clean and good sized. Staff was helpful but perhaps a little too busy for great service.

Friendly staff....not so clean room

I was kind of disappointed with all the construction going on as we had 3 large suitcases and the taxi had to park on the road due to a very large truck blocking the entrance for most of the day. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I will say that there was a rush on to get the new hotel next door ready for Aug 28th opening. There was also a lot of road construction going on at the same time (no fault of the hotel). Taxi's had to go alternate route to get into the hotel area. We stayed 3 nights and the room cleanliness was not up to par as carpet needed vacuuming and bathroom sink needed cleaning.

Fine place for one night

This hotel was a comfortable place to stay for one night. We chose it because it is near a brewery/monastery we wanted to visit. It was a little hard to find this hotel and is not near the train station/downtown. Currently there is a large addition being built but there was no construction noise audible in our room.

Nice Tilburg bargain

Stayed here for a week to save a little money and was very happy with the result. A pleasant 20-minute walk to the downtown restaurant and shopping area and can even walk twenty minutes in the other direction to a Trappist monastery & brewery, with an adjacent restaurant. The hotels rooms are very basic, but the wi-fi is easy to access and pretty good quality, the rooms are very clean, and the hotel's restaurant has a simple but nice breakfast (including made-to-order eggs). Like all restaurants in the area, dinner there is a little pricey but the meals are surprisingly good and very satisfying. I also appreciated the helpful staff and the in-room mini refrigerator.

Not too bad of a hotel, pretty average Euro hotel. Grocery store not too far of a walk. Staff was very friendly.

Unhelpful Staff

The room was noisy with people talking loudly in the hallway at night. Staff not over helpful except for male employee in the morning who was doing breakfast and reception. We will not return.

AN OK HOTEL BUT VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I travel to Holland a lot for business and have stayed at most of the hotels in Tilburg over the years. This is my second visit to this hotel and my findings are pretty much the same as my first visit. For the price its ok and its location is not too bad. However, the customer service is poor and you are certainly not made to feel welcome once its been established that you are English! The breakfast is also not good in comparasion to other 3* hotels in Tilburg such as the Ibis and unforunately the same applies to the restaurant and the evening menu too.

Good value

My room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendlier than average in Dutch hotels. Restaurant provides decent quality for a reasonable price. Very well located; close to major highways but a five minute car ride will take you to the center of town. Overall, good value for a modest rate. I'll stay here again.

A short stroll to La Trappe

Decent Hotel, reasonably priced, free parking. It's only a 20 minute walk to Koningshoeven where the Trappist beers of La Trappe are produced. Tours are available and the beer is superb.

Booked the hotel via Expedia and choose for pay at the hotel. One day before the took the payment from my credit card. I added my credtcard only for garanty not for the payment because my customer should pay the room. The lady at the reception mentioned this was how they work and didn t listen to my arguments. Even when I showed the booking in the Expedia app what stated pay at the hotel she refushed to do anything. Next time no bookings at Bastion hotels for me

Hotel heeft een zeer goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Kamers waren uitstekend en het ontbijt was ook zeer goed.

Kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Keurige kamer met groot bed en goede douche. Ontbijt beetje rommelig, iedereen staat op een kluitje en het aanvullen van etenswaren en borden etc kan beter.

Zeer tevreden over het verblijf. Diner in restaurant was uitstekend en kamer was boven verwachting. Zeker een aanrader.

Verder geen opmerkingen. Parkeergelegenheid uitstekend. Op loopafstand van centrum. Kortbij uitvalsweg naar snelweg. Jammer, dat er geen waterkoker op de kamer was om zelf thee te maken.

Mooie ruime kamer

Mooie ruime kamer! Netjes schoon alleen het rooster in de badkamer zat onder een dikke laag stof. We miste wel een doosje tissues. En jammer dat we na een dag terug kwamen en de kamer niet was schoongemaakt, housekeeping kwam om 17.45 uur op de deur kloppen.

Ærgerlig oplevelse - 3 overnatninger

Oplevelsen på dette hotel var rigtig rigtig ærgerlig. Da vi ankom til hotelværelset torsdag eftermiddag lugtede der af falafel. Vi undersøgte værelset og fandt ud af, at der var en åben pakke falafel i minikølelskabet, som ikke var blevet taget ud. Derudover blev der fredag morgen braset ind på værelset uden at der blev banket på. Her stod jeg upåklædt og blev nødt til at råbe “nej nej, ikke nu”. Dette var en ærgerlig og ubehagelig oplevelse. Da vi kom tilbage til hotelværelset fredag aften var vores senge ikke redt. Da vi kom tilbage lørdag aften ved en 23 tiden var vores senge endnu engang ikke blevet redt, og håndklæderne som vi havde lagt på gulvet lå stadig på gulvet og IKKE erstatte med nye. Rengøringen havde blot tømt skraldespandene begge dage.

Ramen op de kamer kunnen gewoon lekker open. Lekker ff luchten als je wakker wordt. Verder zijn de kamers basic en netjes inclusief Nespresso.

Nur im Notfall nochmal

Feueralarm mitten in der Nacht (Fehlalarm) in 3:30 Uhr. Keine Entschuldigung, nichts. Nicht mal die Frage, wie der Aufenthalt war. Rezeptionistin am Empfang, sowohl beim Check-in als Check Out wirkte so, als hätte sie keine Lust, zu arbeiten.

Kamer was netjes, helaas was er gerookt in de kamer. Kregen een nieuwe kamer, ook prima. ‘s ochtends bleek er geen warm water te zijn. Werd afgedaan met een, hij is al 2x bijgevuld, naar dat jullie geen warm water hadden….. Verder prima hotel.
