The staff are very friendly and assisting. Turkish hammam was a pleasant experience, and the restaurants were good. We had a junior suite which was big with a private traditional hammam which was lovely. Breakfast buffet was included in my reservation and it was very good. The only thing that made me unhappy was the prices; everything was in Euros in the country of Lira! Crazy expensive drinks and food in Hotel. Anyways, it was a pleasant stay and might try next time. Thank you Barcelo Taksim! :)

Perfect location for getting anywhere in European Istanbul. You can walk around at leisure and enjoy the city, its restaurants, history, and shopping.

Overall good stay, staff could be a bit more friendly and say thank you or smile more rather than staring at you. But overall helpful staff and attended any request. I was hoping for a room with king bed but they couldn't accommodate which was uncomfortable with two beds stivk together with a gap in between. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Wifi good but the login is with your exact birthday which is very weird. Hotel is not that well known taxis has problem finding the hotel. Room service food was average, not that tasty, missing condiments, except their French fries. Downstairs restaurant was good though. Hamam and spa jacuzzi are great and added to the experience. Massage was average, she did press very hard on my calf made it hurt for the day.

Our stay at The Barcelo was amazing. The hotel is very modern, clean and impressive. Our room was really comfortable, well maintained and cleaned daily to a high standard. The breakfast buffet was also fantastic but the thing that stood out the most was the staff. They couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. I have to mention Aygul, Abdurramman (who made a first class cocktail!!) and Omer, all of whom went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. Barcelo is my hotel of choice when we travel to Istanbul from now on and I highly recommend it to other travellers.

Nice hotel

Everything was great about the property except for pretty aggressive guy at the concierge desk. We asked him about nearby shopping and he was very aggressive in hustling a fake designer shop where apparently he gets commission.

Viry nice hotel

Hotel was great, it is located across the street from Taksim Square so there are a ton of restaurants to choose from. We felt completely safe and one a short walk from the Metro. The hotel staff was amazing, we stayed on the 4th floor and our housekeeper was so passionate and he was so focused on making sure that we were taken care of. I would highly recommend this place to everyone, also it is worth adding your breakfast when booking as they have a great breakfast buffet.

The hotel is at an ideal location, slightly outside of the hustle bustle of taksim square but just food steps away. It was a fantastic experience, Omar was great!!! The service is great, staff is helpful and lovely as well.

"I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and they even offered helpful recommendations for nearby attractions and restaurants. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I especially appreciated when the staff helped decorate the room with balloons and flowers for our anniversary. The breakfast was great, the friendly demeanor of all the staff members were extremely nice. They truly made my experience memorable. One thing i would take away from this place is the spa treatment we had, we were told to show up 15min early and we did but the staff was either not ready for us or they were running behind, we ended up waiting for 40min until someone came and got us. Because they were behind on schedule and they did not having enough staff members our experience was rushed ended so quickly. Overall we paid 140$ for Turkish bath and it was not worth it at all. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top-notch hotel with exceptional service. Thank you to the entire team specially “Hanieh”for making our stay so enjoyable.

Disappointing Experience with Smoking Room and Dishonest Service My family and I stayed at the Barceló Istanbul on April 19th, 2025. We booked a junior suite as we needed space for our two small children. The suite was listed as non-smoking. Upon arrival, we were hit with the unmistakable stench of cigarette smoke throughout the suite. With young children, this was unacceptable, so we immediately requested another room. Staff said no other junior suites were available. They offered to downgrade us, but mentioned we’d need to book and pay for an additional room to accommodate our family. When we asked about deodorizing our room, they promised to use an ozone fan, taking about 20 minutes. After waiting 10 minutes, I checked on progress. There was no ozone fan as promised—just hallway and room overwhelmed with heavy room spray. They’d simply masked the smoke smell with fragrance rather than using proper equipment. When confronted, the manager insisted they had used an ozone fan—a claim clearly false given what I witnessed. What disappoints me most isn’t just the smoking issue, but the dishonesty. Rather than being transparent, management chose to mislead us, particularly concerning when traveling with children whose health could be affected. I hope this feedback helps Barceló Istanbul improve. Honesty and care for guests’ wellbeing should be paramount in hospitality.

This hotel was one of the best hotels I’ve been to in my life. The service was top tier, the easy accessible to all things around, the breakfast was amazing, the gym and spa top of the line. I am going to return to turkey just so i can stay here again

I loved the Barcelo Hotel! The property was great, the rooms were spacious and the breakfast was delicious with a lot of options. We stayed 3 nights and loved all of them. The hotel is honestly 5 stars, we were worried about find the perfect place to stay and went with this one because of all the great reviews. It is a little out of the way if you are using public transportation but nothing a 10-15 minute walk can’t fix. Overall great experience. The front desk staff were also just so courteous and helpful. Will stay again if I come back to Istanbul.

My wife and I stayed in this property from 1/21-26/2025, 5 days. This property Is virturely new hotel. The staffs of this hotel are very friendly and proactively. The staffs do not hesitate to offer extra help and service. Especially, the food and beverage manager Erdem Ozevin and his team members on the breakfast area offer woderful services which my wife and I have never been experienced before. The location of the hotel is also very convenient to the taksim square and shopping areas. We have a wonderful time in Istanbul by staying this hotel.

The hotel was very nice and clean. Bedroom was spacious and we really enjoyed having a Hamam in our hotel room. The concierge Erkan was awesome and he assisted with our tickets. Our room was cleaned well by Hussain. Barcelo buffet breakfast is amazing. Anything you can think of is prepared. I did not want to miss the breakfast.

Barcelo in Istanbul.

I booked for 9 nights, solo trip on the first 4 nights. The receptionist, Milad was extremely helpful, and friendly. He was so welcoming and making me feel safe and sound - Thank you, Milad. I also want to thank you to Ramazan, the server at the restaurant. Great service! over all, if I ever coming to Istanbul again in the future, I will definitely staying at Barcelo

The hotel is located at a very convenient area close to metro, airport shuttle bus and the İstiklâl Caddesi(Grand Rue de Pera). Staff are very friendly and efficient. Breakfast is good with lots of choice. Try their Turkish hammam as well!

The cleanliness and comfort of my room were impeccable, thanks to the diligent efforts of Melek from housekeeping. I love the fact that she always greet me with sincerest smile and her attention to detail ensuring my room is clean and tidy - and not forgetting the amenities are constantly being stocked up. The hotel's breakfast buffet was a delightful experience. The variety of dishes was impressive, and the quality of the food was top-notch. The staff at the restaurant were incredibly attentive and accommodating. Overall, my stay at Barceló Istanbul was fantastic. This was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. They upgraded me to a suite with a hamam built-in complimentary. It's about a 10-minute walk to the Taxsim subway. I would consider staying here again in the future.

I stayed at Barcelo Istanbul hotel from October 13 to Oct 23.I was asked for a deposit of 100 euros upon my arrival which I did give. Another couple that checked in the same date was not asked for a deposit. At check out the clerk informed me that I cannot receive the 100 euros back but he gave me a lesser amount in Turkish lira. I found this strange but it was 4 am , our taxi was waiting and I did not want to argue. Upon my return, I have sent emails to the hotel but did not receive any answers which I find not professional. During my stay I was very happy with the cleanliness of the room - thank you Nurten Hanim- the location, the breakfast buffet . There is nothing negative I can say about my stay but not getting any answers as to why did not receive the full deposit back effects the rating of my review. I asking for the management to do the right thing and return my full deposit .

At our arrival, we were told we had an upgraded room. Beautiful view of Istanbul and the Bosphorus!!! Very big room with great service. Specially Busra Ayata was particularly Helpful and wonderful directing us to special tours and ways to get around the city thank you very much Busra! We will definitely come back to any Barcelo!

The rooms are nice, its located very close to Taksim yet not in a super busy area. If you take the bus from the airport or going to the airport, its 2 min walk from the bus pick up/ drop off which is great! Staff were very nice. Overall we liked our stay at Barcello
