Far exceeded my expectations. I felt peaceful, quiet, and private.

Everything was amazing except for the hot water supply in the hobbit house. When the issue was adressed to the reception the response was to keep it open and it will eventually come. I waited for 10 minutes with extremely cold water.

Excellent in every way

Bambuda is fantastic. The location is excellent with breathtaking views of the mountains & countryside. The food in the restaurant is excellent & there are numerous options at all times of the day. The service at the front desk & at the restaurant are prefect: helpful, friendly, & enthusiastic. Taxi rides from the hotel to a variety of destinations are easy to get & inexpensive. I had a cabin with a balcony. It felt like a cabin in the mountains but with strong hot water in the shower.

Everyone here was absolutely amazing. Views were great. Food was delicious. Staff is so friendly. Front desk worker Reynina was our favorite.

I will be here for 9 days total because my plans keep changing! I have had to add days on repeatedly and they do their best to keep me in the same or similar location. Then I got sick and they isolated me and took care of me like family. This has felt like a home away from home… not a vacation but I’m safe and well cared for!

Excellent dining

What a cool place! It’s part hostel and part hotel. We stayed in one of the hobbit homes and it was beyond cool. Everything was new and updated inside the home. It was a very nice, but casual environment around the hotel. It had a great vibe of young and older adults. The dining area is large and a great hangout for all visitors. The views of the mountains were fantastic. The staff was very helpful and even had a laundry service for us. The food was great. It was a very fun and unique place to stay. We really enjoyed it and would book there again.

Such a great retreat from the hustle & bustle of downtown. Truly feels like you are on an eco resort with comfortable amenities and a truly unique feel to the hotel!

Amazing staff...Amazing view

Stayed in Cocobolo "hobbit house". So cute and unique. High ceiling, sliding door w screen. Birds everywhere in the garden. Amazing view. Shared basic kitchen with fridge. No coffee maker...but a tea kettle. Restaurant on site that is actually open 7 days. Pool and hot tub. Lots of hiking nearby. Better to have a car to get to and from town...but taxis are a few bucks. $30 shuttle daily 8am gets you to bocas del toro. $20 Uber from David. Staff are extremely helpful and all speak fluent english. Great recommendations for restaurants in town...plus where to shop for bakery, veggies and gifts. There's a little info book on all to see and do in the area. So very helpful! Loved this place. Would stay again in a heartbeat

More of a Hostal that expected. Lots of dorm rooms full of dudes. All the dudes in the hot tube… no thanks. Had a room that was like a lord-of-the-rings hut. Tiny, damp and dirty. Only one door/window so hard to get any air circulation. Boquete is known for its coffee, but don’t look here for one. Tried 2 days in a row at 8am to get a cup and got the weakest brew in the Shire. Frodo may like it, but not me.

Wonderful, unique hostel!

We loved our stay at Bambuda Castle! The shared open air balcony was such a highlight. We were able to come back from hiking and watch the afternoon storms roll through the hills. Gorgeous and relaxing. Hostel was spotlessly clean and the folks at the reception desk were unfailingly helpful. Food was way better than it had to be. Would recommend a car as it is difficult to get anywhere without one. Parking was tight but still do-able.

Great stay and good value

Love this place. We live in Panamá but love to visit Boquete and this is one of our favorite places to stay. Super terrific service as staff go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. Food is fabulous. The dome rooms are cozy, private and peaceful. All this at a price that can’t beat for the quality. This may be a hostel but it’s better than a lot of hotels we’ve stayed at. We would definitely recommend.

Very nice facility with indoor swimming pool and hot tub, the view is great and the staff is very friendly. My room was small but very functional and great condition and the rain shower was amazing

We really enjoyed our stay at Bambuda Castle! All the staff was friendly, professional and helpful, special shout out to Carlos, excellent service!! The gardens around the property will take your breath away! We would definitely go back on our next trip to Boquete!

This is the coolest place to stay! Rooms and property very unique with vistas galore. Staff are good, common areas clean and well maintained. Had a bit of a cleanliness issue in my room’s bathroom (other people’s hair) but the bed was super comfy. I stayed in a tower room and it was very neat! I loved hanging out and drinking wine or coffee on the back porch.

Fantastic place. We stayed in one of the bungalows. The dinner was also very good and was reasonably priced. Same goes re. breakfast which you can have on the terrace with amazing views of boquete.

Staff was great, amenities were great. The dinner selections, quality, and value really added to the stay. This should be in unique experiences if it isnt all ready. I highly recommend it..

Neat place

Super cool rooms, friendly staff and nice price

Property location is perfect, views are spectacular, grounds are beautifully maintained. We stayed in one of the private under ground “hobbit” houses. Unique & very private & comfortable. Staff were always there & willing to answer questions. Amazing meals came out of the kitchen.

The amenities are great: + you are staying in a castle... + there is a pool + there is a jacuzi + there is a terasse with great views + lobby area with fireplace and nice atmosphere + tv room with netflix, playstation... + free shuttle to and from town twice daily (otherwise 4$ taxi or 45min walk) + delicious community dinners + lovely garden with space for sports, yoga, sunbathing, all that with a great view + kitchen to prepare your own food Only a few negative things: - dorm rooms pretty crammed - kitchen lacks equipment All in all - an amazing place for your stay in Boquete!

Hobbit house + Swiss alps + Coffee Plantation = Perfection there are no surprises that this is a 5 rated hostel, but we rate this a 5 star as a Hotel. Don’t miss the Coffee Plantation tour and the honey farm.

Hobbit or King it is nice place to stay

Wonderful place. You are about 2 miles from town so it's either a 45 minute walk or a $2/pp cab ride. Highly recommend this place

Best Hostel I've ever stayed in.

This hostel is epic! Jacuzzi and swimming pool are the highlight. Balcony has an amazing view. Staff are amazing and super helpful.

Incredible hotel

Even though there was a problem with my booking (the room I booked through Orbitz did not match what was provided, and the room type i booked was sold out) the hotel staff was extremely apologetic and offered me free breakfast in return which we greatly appreciated. Staff were super friendly in giving recommendations and arranging taxis to/from the town or wherever we wanted to go. The castle is a really cool experience that I highly recommend!

This place is Canadian owned and the friendliness shows....it's an absolutely an amazing place to stay...best hostel I have ever seen and experienced in my life. never wanted to come back to a country just because of a hotel and this is it.
