The receptionist does not understand English, when we arrived earlier, she said we can only check in after 3 pm. We were ok with the strict check in time. When we requested to let them keep out lug gages, the staff did not understand anything, and kept saying 3 pm. I was very frustrated and increased voice, then we left for booked visit and Casa Mila. Then the manager called multiple times even I ask him stop calling me and it is harrassing. He said he reported to police and he did not give any appology. During our three nights stay, there were no room arrangement, no cleaning, nothing. It was the worse accomodation expericence ever.

The room was very clean and the staff were great. The location was good as well. I was happy to find a small fridge. We were taken aback by how small the room was. Not much bigger than the bed. With no natural light. In my opinion, this room (basic accommodation) works only for sleeping. It wasn’t a comfortable space to relax and rest up.

Avoid this place!!!

This place was horrible. Our mattress was broken. There was a huge divot in it and we could feel the slats through the “mattress.” We were forced to sleep, if that word actually applies, on less than half (of a full-sized bed) so as to avoid falling into the divot. The room was also much smaller than appeared in the photos. There is no desk and therefore no one works there except maybe 4 hours a day. So there is NO help if it’s needed - you have to rearrange your schedule to even pay (to sleep around a broken mattress). The location is A+, but I would not wish this place on my enemies. AVOID AT ALL COST. NOT WORTH IT.

This hotel was clean with beautiful decor and in a good location. It was difficult to find at first but the hosts were very responsive in helping us find the property.

Awesome small hotel in Barcelona close to a metro station one stop from the Sagrada Familia! Super new, upgraded, clean, comfortable, and even w a small patio! Called the manager to meet me to check in and everything went smoothly! The restaurant, Adonis, on the corner was great! Loved my whole stay!

Great location, very clean and comfortable

Room was pretty clean, bathroom was clean and well furnished, although for 2 days out of 4, no one cleaned my room. Staff were pleasant but only present for a few hours in morning and evening. Breakfast pretty good, but earliest service was 8:15 which was too late if you had an appointment as early as 9 a.m. But ABOVE ALL, do not accept a reservation for Room 5! The only windows opened out into an interior stairway, which I was not told ahead of time. Worst of all, halfway across the bedroom floor, there's a step up, so it's a 2-level floor, which is extremely hazardous for a bedroom where you might be moving around the room at night. I tripped and fell on this on the first night, leaving me bruised and sore for the duration of my stay. When I asked for another room the next day, I was told they were completely booked so they couldn't move me. I suspect that the other rooms in this B&B were fine and that if I'd had a different room, I'd have been satisfied. I don't think they should even put guests in Room 5. I feel it's a lawsuit waiting to happen when someone else falls and actually breaks something.

We didn't realize that the place where breakfast was served and the "communal area" was only a thin door away from where we were sleeping. It was noisy at times.

Not quite up to par

They have no reception, so if a problem, no one there. The only tv is in the common area and didn’t work. One morning, no one showed up to serve the breakfast and I had to call them. The breakfast is skimpy and every day they over baked the croissants. They need at least hard boiled eggs for a protein.

Check in is a real ordeal. Must call someone to meet you at the property. Strange, dimly lite commons area. They have air conditioning in this area and the breakfast area but will not turn it on even when requested. Beds were comfortable. Linens were nice and clean. Room very basic.

Great location. Good communication as we were delayed in arriving. One improvement that would be helpful -- more air flow in common areas. It was very hot and stuffy in breakfast and living room areas.

Exceptional on every level! Absolutely comfortable beds, spacious rooms, great location, great coffee & breakfast, wonderful staff. Book ahead as it is beloved.

BARNA HOUSE IS A TERRIBLE B&B!

We don't understand the high score of this B&B. The pictures they show online were taken maybe several years ago, because the real condition of this place is terrible. The air conditioner was located on top of the bed and It had a light that wouldn't let us sleep. The bathroom wall in the shower was in very bad condition. We also had to request that the bathroom be cleaned well. The mattresses were not comfortable. There was no safety box. The breakfast was very poor. They also forced us to pay in advance the 4 nights of our stay. We do not recommend this B&B at all ... neither the bed nor the breakfast were minimally acceptable.We feel cheated for the price we payed.

Barna was close to so many things we need during our trip; metro, places to eat, markets, grocery stores and my cousins hotel. We really enjoyed the room with the terrace, and the breakfast provided every morning. Would recommended Barna to anyone visiting Barcelona!!

Charming B and B

Pleasant 3 days stay at this B and B. Perfect location. Walking distance to Sagrada Familia, accessible to bus and metro. Lots of cafes and restaurant options. Our accommodation is clean and loved the little balcony. A little noisy in the morning when the lady prepares breakfast, but it's fine as it serves as our wake up call 😁. The male manager is nice, i forgot his name. He got us in earlier than our check in time as our flight arrived early in the day. Recommend this place!

I like that this property is in a great location. From here i could walk to every attraction i wanted. Also there are a places to eat and supermarkets to do grocery shopping in case you need something; all of this within walking distance. The staff is very nice and accommodating; the only inconvenience is there is no 24hr Reception service. Overall, it was a great stay and i recommend this place to any of you looking for an affordable place to stay close to everything in Barcelona, specially if you are on a budget.

The room was lovely and the owner and staff were helpful and welcoming. We were better able to plan our time after chatting with the owner, who helped us to get to know the city a little more efficiently. A very nice self-serve breakfast is included, with unlimited coffee. Use of a shared fridge / kitchen and common area was encouraged. It is close to attractions, but is a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of the busier areas. Very close to Sagrada Familia and hop-on/off tours, which will get you everywhere you want to go if you have never visited Barcelona. A hair dryer is conveniently included. The only thing we wished we had was a safe for personal documents. Overall, we highly recommend Barna House B&B!

Unique BnB

Staff were friendly and helped out a lot. Close to public transport and great food choices around. Rooms are lovely and it had a special uniqueness to it. Would go back and recommend it highly.

Lorenzo gave us helpful suggestions for retaurants and sites. We enjoyed the large room and convenient location to the bus stop and major attractions. Very safe neighborhood. No TV, but stocked bookself. Wall unit AC - we kept it running day/night. Pleasant communal breakfast table to meet other guests.

Barna House Memories

A fantastic place to stay! You are greeted by Lorenzo, who was super helpful and personable. He told us about places to visit, tour buses, places to eat, etc. He also fixes a great breakfast buffet and we absolutely loved the cappuccino machine! Lorenzo always left some pastries for you throughout the day in case you wanted a little snack. Itt was uch a wonderful experience meeting other travellers in the breakfast room. Barna House is clean, quaint, and safe. The towels were big and thirsty, a must for me. A special thank you to Lorenzo, who made our stay in Barcelona a memorable one. We would stay here again!

Lovely place - but bad trip home.

The stay at Barna House B&B was really nice. The location is great, and it's nice to be able to explore bars and restaraunts in a less touristy area. It's also super easy to get everywhere. Our host (I'm really sorry but I forgot the name!) was really welcoming and informative. The breakfast is nice - basic continental - and the rooms are clean. The one thing that ruined our stay was the trip back to the airport. We asked the BnB to call a taxi for us (it wasn't the usual host, but someone different). It was clear to us that instead of an actual taxi, he simply called a friend to drive us to the airport. This "taxi" was clearly not licensed. The car had no air conditioning, only 3 doors (so my girlfriend had to clamber into the back seat) and the guy drove like a crazy person. We felt a bit sick on the journey and to be honest we were quite shocked that he didn't call us a normal taxi - we are paying, so why not? It was all a bit strange, and ruined the stay for us.

Great location, walking distance (for us) to everything we wanted to see. Breakfast provided but lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. The room was perfect, comfortable beds, nice bathroom, everything we needed plus a balcony overlooking an interesting intersection. I enjoyed watching the cars, scooters and people from the balcony. Hosts took very good care of us and were easy to contact when needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Loved the building-historical and beautiful. That being said, you need better lighting in the rooms and television.

The kitchen was amazing ! huge farm table with all the amenities of modern, European appliances ! espresso machine is plus ! The bedroom linens are luxurious and the bathroom towels are plush, soft and smells like you are in a 5- star hotel ! The staff , Alisher was friendly, great source of information re: transportation, tours , shopping and even where to buy Nutella !

B&B in a great location

We chose this B&B because of its location. It's within a 20-minute walk of three Gaudi sites--La Sagrilla Familia, Casa Battló, and La Pedrera--and to many other sites as well. Our stay was generally very pleasant with two exceptions: there is no onsite staff, so they ask you to let them know when you are within 30 minutes of arriving; and we had no A/C the first two nights, which they were able to rectify. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall experience was positive.

Cozy vibes, good value

I stayed here for three days and really enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere. Every morning there was breakfast provided and I looked forward to chatting with the staff and the other guests. My room was a good size, and the common area has an espresso machine and tea available at all hours. A real perk if you wake up before breakfast like I did. Overall I would say this B&B is a great value and well-located next to lots of cute cafes and bars. Skip the Airbnb and stay at Barna.

Comfortable but very, very dark

Barna House is in a lovely 19th-century building and is very clean. The two back rooms, however, are very dark--they look into an interior courtyard/lightwell, but get hardly any sunlight. They are quieter as as a result, but be forewarned--the dim bulbs in all the lights in the room make it impossible to read, etc. Similarly, there are no windows in the living room or breakfast area, which makes it quite dark. The front rooms appear to have big, lovely windows, but are also on a noisy street. Overall, quite clean and comfortable, and good value for the price.

Our stay was great! The location is in more of the local section of town, so great to stay away from the tourists. Lots of cheap local spots within walking distance. ~12-15 min walk to Pass. d. Gracia. Could use improvements: Only 1 key per room (not great if you're traveling with another), shampoo and soaps are in plastic packets (not bottles), doors/walls are thin so you can hear some things (bring ear plugs). Things we enjoyed: Breakfast was very simple, VERY clean, great location, very friendly staff.

This property is so charming. We felt in love with it. The staff were super helpful, the location is near both Metro and Bus Station and very convenient. The room is so good old fashioned. Like visiting your grandma. Even the elevator is so cool ! RECOMMENDED and would definitely choose this place in my next trip to Barcelona

great stay in Barcelona!

The place is amazing, really close to bus stop and 5 min walk from the metro, located in central area and 15 min walk from Sagrada Familia, the area is really safe and nice. the host was very accomodating as I asked them to buy for me prosecco and cake as it was a special bday and they keep the luggage when you leave. the breakfast is until 10 am giving plenty of time to wake up late and I enjoyed the breakfast on the terrace! the only thing is that if you get the room with the street view the noise of the street can be heard properly however the bed is so comfy that I personally felt asleep and the second morning didn't hear anything! only one thing, the wifi didn't really work. highly suggested!

Comfy & reasonable.

There is no front desk at this tiny B&B but the man who met us was helpful, thoughtful, and kind. His English was great. The room was surprisingly quiet (with doors shut) in this busy Gracia neighborhood, and the air conditioning worked well - helpful on hot July nights. Wi-fi was fine. Price is reasonable. Thanks and we'd come back!

Estadia tranquila, quarto limpo e com quase tudo. Faltou melhorar o cheiro do banheiro, pois estava com odor. No restante, atendeu bem a expectativa. Local silencioso. Se caminha bastante em Barcelona, mas no geral o local fica próximo a várias atrações.

Le lit était fait chaque jour, les serviettes changées tous les deux jours mais un passage d'aspirateur, une chiffonnette sur la tête de lit auraient été bienvenus. Mais comme il y a beaucoup à faire à Barcelone, on ne passe pas sa journée à l'hôtel. Quant à son emplacement, il nous a permis de découvrir la ville sans problème.

Good little hotel for short city break.

Brilliantly placed. Lovely little hotel. Clean. Reception needs a make over. Receptionist kind and happy but language barrier a problem. Room was very warm. Pillows uncomfortable.

Het was veel te warm op de kamer en dan spreek ik over 26°C... Terwijl het buiten 14°C was... Er was een airco, maar die werkte niet voldoende. Ook het gebrek aan een raam was niet oké. Onze kamer lag naast het stookkot. Het raam openen had geen zin, want de lucht was even warm omdat het raam uitgaf op een lange koker van een 1 vierkante meter ofzo. We konden geen buitenlucht zien omdat green house op de onderste verdieping ligt van 4 verdiepingen ofzo. Er lag veel stof bovenop de kast. De douche werkte heel goed. De haardroger is niets waard. Blaast zo zacht dat je het beter in de kamer(26°C) kan laten drogen. De shampoo die je krijgt zijn goedkope zakjes. Het was oké maar ik zou er niet meer teruggaan.

Es establecimiento no sube fotos reales. El lugar se ve descuidado, las almohadas y los colchones están muy incómodos, manejan puras sábanas como cobijas, el jabón para el baño al igual que el shampoo además de una presentación muy pequeña de mala calidad. Sinceramente cualquiera puede estafar

We werden heel vriendelijk ontvangen. We hadden een goed bed. Kamer lag aan de straatkant = veel straatlawaai. Badkamer kan wat opfrissing gebruiken. Zwak wifi-signaal. Het ontbijt was pover, om 09.00 uur waren de ontbijtkoeken nog niet klaar. De jongeman die de dienst uitmaakte, was vooral met zijn pc bezig. Besluit : volgende keer in Barcelona kiezen we een andere lokatie.

Cosy mais pas assez calme

Les lieux sont décorés avec goût et la chambre est confortable. Le petit déjeuner serait parfait avec du pain frais et quelques fruits de plus. Mon problème a été le bruit car c’est mal insonorisé avec la partie commune donc dès que quelqu’un y est on est réveillé.
