There was no hot tub which was sadly noticed when it was windy/cold. The beach for the adult property was severely lacking. No pools open at night. The food was average and restaurants booked too quickly. The rooms were dated and TV was old. But everybody was nice and the pools, drinks, and entertainment was excellent

The resort was very nice. Could not get reservations to many ala-cart restaurants, got stuck at the buffet most of the week and you can not reserve until you get there, by then they’re all booked. I prefer Secrets resorts where you don’t need reservations for meals. You also had to pay for most of the evening entertainment, where most all-inclusive hotels that’s included.

This is a beautiful property, the staff is amazing. That is the only thing positive that I have to say. First, when we arrived they assigned us a room with a gravel parking lot with a construction site for the view. We asked to be moved,because we booked a Junior deluxe garden view. There was nothing deluxe or garden about it. Very reluctantly, they moved us . The view was better but the minute you walked in , the mold smell hit you,and the smell was there the entire time. Plus there were little black flies flying around. The TV was a 32 in. We found out later that they put us a building that was being "renovated " .Entertainment was lacking at night. There was one good show. Zamaica. (not to be missed) My main complaint was the food. We ate the same food in morning , for lunch and dinner because the buffet was all we were able to go to. They have the same menu EVERY DAY. A la carte restaurants are booked into the prices, but good luck getting a reservation. The only one we could get was for 9pm. Oh, if you cancel, thee is a fee per the website. We were told we needed to make reservations before coming in. Well, we tried, there was a problem with the site. Just like one of us couldn't do the online check in. Not because we didn't try. Anyway, nothing luxury about the Bahia Principe Luxury. If you are used to LUXURY, this is not it. Go in with low expectations and you will be fine.

Only thing we didnt like was, we were told Wednesday there were no open reservations for dining to call the next day. I called at 6 in the morning just to be told the times were booked at the knife restaurant. Only had the Japanese restaurant available. Which was terrible.

Overall I enjoyed it, nice property, great spa. My room was near ongoing construction site, though I didn’t spent much time in the room and there was outdoor dog on the property nearby, quite loud as well. Smoking is allowed on the balconies and people smoked on the beach as well. All sorts of stuff.

We have been in many resorts what made Bahia very unique is the people.felt like home and loved.very friendly staff and accommodating.from the morning buffet staff to the entertaining crew( Crazy legs by far it’s an attraction himself) to the housekeeping room service and dinner people every day we felt the love.we will definitely revisit.the only minus if I have to mention something was the beach wasn’t deep enough to actually swim but the wildlife we saw the rare species we encountered was a lot more than we anticipated.thank you Jamaica for the wonderful vacations and love you gave us.till we meet again

We went to Bahia Hotel for our honeymoon and we spent a wonderful time there. This is a perfect location if you are traveling with friends or with a partner or for any occasion like a birthday or anniversary. The pool is wonderful, the staff are super friendly, the food is amazing. There are so many choices for dining, activities and things to do. You can have a calm romantic vacation or a more active sporty one, or an awesome party time. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Dear Bahia Staff, Greetings, I would like to offer a few suggestions based on my recent experience at your resort. First, I recommend ensuring more towels and washcloths are readily available for guests. My fiancé and I had to wait three hours to receive clean, fresh towels, which unfortunately caused us to miss one of our excursions since we couldn’t shower in time. It would greatly improve the guest experience if these were consistently restocked and accessible. Additionally, I noticed that one of the outdoor restaurants ran out of chicken and burgers and did not have any soft drinks available. It’s important to ensure that popular menu items and beverages are adequately stocked to avoid guest dissatisfaction. Another area for improvement is attentiveness among some staff members. When I requested silverware and napkins, the staff appeared inattentive and did not respond promptly. This gave the impression that guest needs were not a priority, which can be discouraging. Furthermore, I’d like to suggest clearer communication regarding daily activities, excursions, and restaurant schedules. A more detailed itinerary or notification system could help guests plan their time effectively and avoid confusion. Lastly, while the overall cleanliness of the resort was satisfactory, I noticed some areas, particularly in high-traffic locations like the poolside and common lounges, could benefit from more frequent cleaning and maintenance to maintain the high standard

The property is listed as a 4 star but it’s really a 2 star facility. I couldn’t book any dining at any of the restaurants via the app that the hotel have you use. The only option was the buffet for the days that I was there. The facility needs to be upgraded. I have been an Expedia user since it was started by Microsoft and this is one of the worst experiences to date

People are the best part of this place and if management doesn’t wake up they will lose the best thing they have going, people like Andre and Rudolph are amazing and we’re blessed to spend some time with them over the last two weeks. The bad - cockroaches are everywhere, VIP benefits paid for were never received (mostly due to Expedia dropping the ball) restaurant times are not clearly posted and they are closing early without notice on a regular basis, constant maintenance and leaking ceilings causing areas to close without notice but the biggest thing is THERE ARE KIDS EVERYWHERE ON THE ADULT SIDE - WE PAID EXTRA TO GET AWAY FROM THEM, BUYER BEWARE THEY ARE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF HERE!!!

Depending on who you are interacting with on the staff they are either incredibly nice or incredibly. What bothered me most about the stay was 2 things 1) I couldn't make any reservations using the website when I booked months in advance at any of the restaurants (I tried calling, emailing, even set up a Bahia account) and when I got there for my stay I was notified that all restaurants were booked. 2) At the buffet which is where we had to eat most of the time because of #1 things were improperly mislabeled. And that became a huge problem because what someone was told was meat ended up being seafood and caused an allergy.

Enjoyed our stay at this resort. We were here about 8 years ago and stayed at the grand side. It wasn’t the greatest experience. This time we stayed in the luxury side and it was absolutely amazing. We were sure to make dinner reservations ahead of time and received the VIP room upgrade. Service and staff were perfect. There was plenty of entertainment all day and night.

Nice big resort. Great buffet and a great person named crazy legs who is the life of this resort. He goes above and beyond to help everyone. Great asset. When we arrived at 10 pm the restaurant was closed and were told to go to our rooms and order room service. It never arrived and after waiting an hour we called and they said they never got our order. Generally very disorganized in restaurants. In Don Pablo our reservation was at 9 pm and we did not get our meal till 10 pm and when the food arrived it was very small in portion. The buffet is really good though. Pool is beautiful and clean and the entertainment staff are top notch. Generally satisfied without being impressed. Also awful wifi. Beautiful grounds and view. The staff are quite lazy and on their phone a lot. Not that friendly

A great all inclusive to spend time with the family over Christmas. The adult side was slower the the family side. The beach is great for peace and quiet. Snorkeling was awesome. Believe it or not the Jasmine buffet was better than the a la carte dining options. A MUST do is walk as far as you can on the beach through the family side and have a drink and the jerk chicken at the shack over there, WOW, it was the best.

Our stay was decent. There are a few qualms. To start, due to the humidity, there was mold in our lampshades in our room and noticeably on certain walls/surfaces. Some corridors had loud noises despite quiet signs. However, the size of the rooms were spacious. The musicians at night were AMAZING and had the best presence! During the day, we did not appreciate how many loud activities there were planned. The day we landed, we were all hungry and tired and the food options were very disappointing. The food served in the buffets are pretty much the same every day and have food that is either over cooked or poorly seasoned. The salmon however was delicious. In the restaurants, they did not offer enough vegetarian options. The desserts were so bad, the chocolate desserts did NOT taste like chocolate. DO NOT GET THE CHOCOLATE DESSERTS. However, the customer service and kindness of the staff was incredible. The service at Picasso and Takara restaurants were amazing and all the employees were energetic, fun, and welcoming. We did like how large the pool areas were. The coves were also beautiful. Overall, 7/10.

Had a great vacation with my all adult family! I have a mobility problem and asked for a room near the lobby, but what I got was a bit of a walk to get to the entertainment/ restaurant/lobby areas. There is an ice bucket provided in the room, but not an ice machine anywhere in the hotel for guests. The activity coordinator, Kemon was a standout in creating fun and enjoyment throughout our stay. Overall, I would recommend this property if you plan on spending most of your time on-site.

The entertainment staff were tops. Crazy legs and Thunder were the best! The Front desk was not responsive to our requests, we did not get the double bed rooms we reserved. We did not get a working blow dryer or fix the privacy screen to the bathroom.

Bubbles from Guest experience was amazing. She made our check in process super easy and fun. She lived up to her name.. The adult side was a little too relaxed. The family side was more lively. The activities were not communicated very well. There was events that didn’t show up in the app or on any boards on the luxury side. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Better activities would have made the resort even better.

We love the team work that was displayed among each other in ALL areas especially when dinning at Jazzmine... we'll visit again. We love the live music from the bands... Beautiful Carefree Stay

We had a wonderful stay, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and ensure we were having a great experience every step of the way! There was ample beach and pool space, plenty of beach chairs and pool chairs, and nonstop activities! While the rooms could stand to be updated a little bit they were still large and luxurious and every time we came back to the room it was always spotlessly clean. We were pleasantly surprised by the mini bar that was regularly restocked in the room with snacks, sodas, beers, and water bottles in addition to the bottles of liquor that were available on the table as soon as we arrived. The restaurants were each delicious and the buffet was also very very good with plenty of options, whether we were very hungry or just wanted to eat something light. The breakfast buffet was especially notable as we both loved the omelet station with lots of fillings to choose from. Finally, we would highly recommend that any visitors see the Xaymaca Show performance - the music was amazing and the performers were absolutely incredible. We can’t recommend it enough.

The check-in Evening staff was rude with an attitude. I was lied too over and over again. I paid for 4 rooms, only received keys for 3 rooms. I was told that my party will be together, not true, we were in different buildings, floors with no ocean views as promised. I had to make 4 trips to the front desk on day one to try to clear up the problems. After the 5th visit to the front desk, I ask to speak with a manager or someone in charged. The manager was no help, he supported the RUDE/ATTUTIDE STAFF. My guest had to sleep together in a double bed, after I ask and paid for 2 double beds. We were told that someone would bring a roll out bed, never received. I paid for Ocean View but received flowers, and bushes instead. My luggage was lost, which I had to find on my own. I didn't like the Check-in Evening Staff. The communication was poor and rude. The 2 female staff during my check-in, told untruth, lied, and need more training with dealing with the customers. I paid for 4 rooms but only received keys for 3 rooms after asking for 4 keys. I was told my party was together, but we were not, as promised. I ask for an ocean view but was placed with flowers and bushes in front of my balcony. After walking back and forth to the front desk, I ask to speak with a manger or someone in charge. Once again, the conversation lasted for over an hour with little satisfaction for me/the customer. This is my 3 visits, I WILL NOT ASK FAMILY, FRIENDS OR ASSOCIATES TO VISIT THIS RESORT.

•Theft alert: Theft happened in our room during the stay. We alerted the guest services manager immediately, who then alerted security. Security took our statement, then did an inspection of the room, during which he went through all our things as well as our safe. He then asked us quite invasive questions and finally we lost the money. •First Aid - Resort will not provide basic first aid. It good to carry the basic first aid kit. You need to buy then in store which is very expensive. Single Ibuprofen costs $4 USD. •Buffet - We have many multiple buffet restaurants and food is available all the time. Outdoor buffets seem to be unhygienic as the food is constantly exposed to flies and do not have many options for the vegetarians. •About Resort- Resort is well maintained, and we have a lot of activities & entertainment programs inside the resort throughout the day. ‘Bobbette’ is from the day shift room service staff, who provides exceptional room service. ‘Takeisha’ who works at the guest experience helped a lot to plan our trips. •Tours - We found it too expensive when you book the trip with tours guide at the resort facility. It’s better to hire a rental car and visit the nearby tourist spots. •Tennis lessons - Patrick is exceptional coach, and he is very passionate about teaching tennis. His personalized coaching, guidance, patience, and motivating approach have significantly improved our tennis skills. A very bad experience overall, I don't recommend friends or family.

We enjoyed every aspect of the property, staff, service, food, and excursions. Our waitress Keisha was awesome very attentive and kind. Marvin at with come2 was excellent in getting us set up on excursions. Our room was a sea view very clean and well kept. We enjoyed every meal and had a drink in our hands whenever we wanted. This was a great first trip to Jamaica and definitely will not be our last. Thanks to all the staff for making us feel welcome!

My husband and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and unfortunately, it was a terrible choice of resort. The staff were always rude, and I'll share some of the incidents that happened. On the first day, we arrived tired from our trip and went to dinner at one of the restaurants. The staff member made a joke, saying to my husband, "I know you want to show off your muscles, but it's not allowed to enter wearing a tank top." We were exhausted and had to go back to our room for him to change clothes. But to our surprise, there were people wearing the same type of clothing inside the restaurant. Another situation was that every time we went to a bar to order a non-alcoholic drink, we were mocked. We don't drink alcohol, and they didn't know the reason. They should have had more sense before being so clueless. They would show us to other people, laughing loudly, as if we were asking for something out of this world, leaving us completely embarrassed. We arrived at a restaurant that required advance reservations, and my husband mistakenly said that we had an appointment at 7:30. The receptionist started laughing at us and asked, "Are you going to see a doctor? Because here we have RESERVATIONS, not APPOINTMENTS." Once again, we were embarrassed in front of the staff who were laughing. The restaurant staff were mostly rude, and I hated. My husband was expelled from a beach bar, where he wanted to get water, with the staff yelling at him. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

The hotel is huge… and not very accessible …be careful when you book because there are two sides (luxury and grande) there isn’t much of a difference except the luxury side is adult only. If you book on the grande side you cannot dine in the luxury restaurants but all guest crossover as they please even though the employees at the front desk will tell you, you will need a day pass just to use the other side amenities. I booked the luxury side and my room was decent it was moldy and the suite was dated. I was there for a wedding and many ppl in our party had leaks in there room, roaches and dated suites. Even the bride on her wedding day had a huge leak in the room and we had to get ready around a huge puddle. In all it was okay. The rooms are hit and miss and the food was okay. Holly from guest services is amazing and the theater show was awesome. But overall this wasn’t the best vacation or accommodation.

The resort is for an older crowd. The entertainment at night was not exciting. There is a shop in the luxary lobby area the cashier kept trying to over charge us for items she was trying to charge us 30.00 and the total was only 24, went to another shop in the hotel and paid 15 for the same exact items.

I paid more than my group paid for which was supposed to be the best room and my room wasnt as good as theirs. All of the restaurants are on the family side. The club is on the family side. The pool closes at 6pm. I wouldnt stay there again.

Resort is beautiful, just very big so if u are in one end, walking to the other end might take awhile. Most of staff is friendly, food at buffet was delicious, didn’t get to try most of the a la carte restaurants they were all booked. Overall good experience.

There was a lot of room so everyone could spread out. One could always find lounge chairs in shady areas. There were many good food choices and the a la carte restaurants were superb. The downside was the staff referring you to use the app for everything meaning you always needed to have your phone with you. It would have been helpful to have a paper map.

Nothing moves quickly in Jamaica

Beautiful property and room. The pool was awesome and well maintained. The 3 a la carte restaurants we went to all had delicious food and decent servers. However, the remainder of the hotel service really lacked. We asked for ice in our room twice and never got it (you can’t get it yourself). There was an instance of a cleaned room but they forgot to replace all of the towels then it took 4 hours to get more. And the most frustrating part was the attitude of a great majority of the bartenders. They seemed inconvenienced that we were asking for drinks as simple as a beer or rum and coke. One bartender yelled out that he hadn’t received any tips all night long. This is a grat and tips included resort! Aside from this, we had a lot of fun just relaxing at the pool and beach.

Shower had green deposits on it and was pretty much falling apart. Safe constantly locks it self was told we were getting a replacement it never showed up and the we were staying the door was bashed as if some tried to break in previously so we definitely didn't feel completely leaving our stuff out when we're not around . We Had items locked in the while we were trying to leave the resort for the day causing us to be late. The tv we were given was very small about the size or a large computer moniter as if that wasn't bad enough it only worked half the time. The room service and cleaning/restocking staff were amazing. Food options wasn't the best

There was a lot of cons over pros to this hotel. I would never book at this resort or recommend it to anyone. The staff was rude and the food was limited and never refilled even though the buffets were always open. The restaurants were closed half the time even after doing the reservation and was no prior notice. They had workers strike so staff was very limited to operate resort. Pools were closed early and also the time we went for towels the worker at the towel station told there’s no towel left so he can’t give us anymore this is totally unacceptable for a 5 star hotel or so called 5 star hotel as I have been to many 5 star hotel before even a 3 star hotel has better customer service than this hotel. We had issue with our room where water was leaking out side the shower we complained the front desk and they told us some one will be there shortly but no one showed up for about an hour we called again and they said the same thing and no one showed up. So we finally decided to go to front desk to talk in person. They told us there’s no one available to fix it so they will give us new room. We requested to have room near by but they gave us room way further and we paid for ocean view but we got the new room with highway view and we told them but there response was they don’t have any available. I highly doubt that as the front desk lady seemed to be careless of customer experience. It was raining and no one cleaned floor and way too slippery. This was worst vacation ever !

Buyer beware! Lots of false advertising with this one. I called ahead to verify what exactly the adults only (VIP) gave a customer. They claimed it included top shelf liquor, several restaurants and top nop service from the staff. They only gave u cheap well rum, draft beer, many restaurants that were closed or the staff just didnt open for hours late and after the initial welcoming, staff that was outright rude and nasty. When u mentioned these issues to upper management they just responded, well thats what we have here and then gave you a dirty look to leave them alone. Most other guests had complained about this treatment as well. The staff just will straight up laugh at you and ignore your issues. Dont bother spending your money here, go anywhere else.

When I first booked this property, I was looking forward to staying on the luxury side. I stayed on the Grand Bahia side 10 years ago and really enjoyed my stay. However, the luxury side did not live up to the luxury that was advertised. To begin, we were never gifted our complimentary champagne for celebrating our anniversary. The cable went out and when I attempted to call the front desk, there was no response. We also saw a roach in our room, which was highly disappointing because we are used to top tier cleanliness at a resort. Additionally, we felt like there should be more amenities in the room — common items like tissue and hand soap. Last, but not least, when we went to get our first meal at the buffet by the pool, some of the staff members weren’t very helpful with making sure that the food was edible and enjoyable for all dietary restrictions. Despite these inconveniences, the bed was extremely comfortable and almost all hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the fire show and the activities that were available. If you want to avoid children, the luxury side is a good consideration, but it shouldn’t be your only reason. You might enjoy your stay more on the Grand Bahia side.
