U can’t go other Bahia properties/ beaches which will for convenience planning come on next vacations. Staff /services very kind people and helpful, food for dining well, thank you for your services.
I stayed in Bahia for a 3rd time. Before I was in Adults only, then Esmeralda and like it. This time I stayed in Fantasia. The room that we got had flies in the bathroom which bothered us for 2 days till a guy came to spray them. The mirror in the bathroom was old and had many stains. The waiters in the buffet didn't bring hot tea on time during breakfast, sometimes ignored it. Kitchen didn't contain cards with the name of some food and soups. Some cards with the food name were not in English, some in wrong order. There was not enough watermelon in the buffet. Shows at night were cheap and not attractive besides Magic show and Circus. It used to be much better.
All the staff made you feel so welcome. They made my birthday the best. Food was good, so many choices. Restaurants was also good.
I was pleasantly surprised with my whole experience Bahia Esmeralda!! Location was perfect!!! The staff was outstanding, helpful, and very friendly. Everything not only looked clean, but smelled clean, which is highly important to me. I love it when places use bleach as a disinfectant. The beach was always well kept continuously. As for food, just stick to the buffets I’ll leave it at that. The selection is huge to satisfy any appetite, even kids. The “village” wasn’t nothing to shop at so don’t bother.. All in all I would certainly go back to Bahia Esmeralda!. :))
Bahia Resort was like a piece of paradise. It is beautiful, vast, fun, super convenient to get around. The beach was out of this world, so gorgeous! The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. It was like a well run machine. Everyone had their roles and duties, and everyone did an exceptional job. My only reservation was the food. It all looked amazing but it was not always tasting as good as it looked. Perhaps it could also be a personal preference. Overall, thumbs up! I am planning to go back again and again!
Rude people, food sucks and dirty.
Fornwhat this resort is ment to be, is doing a great job. Make no mistakes nothing is perfect and this is not a high end resort, but it offer us a great stay. The beach is somewhat of a walk, but the beach is great with plenty of shade. As far as the staff is concerned, great people and mostly accommodating, even though at times English language turned put to be a bit of a barrier. All in all, I would say 8.7 points out 10. Is on the list of - could definitely go back to.
Great for the family!
The service is VERY bad they dont care anything about the guests. Only MONEY makinf machine. We paid for the best upgraded room and got the worst room. Noone understood anything even thought i spoke little spanish. Ordering food in the room is another hassle u order and they deliver it to the wrong room. Only answer u get is SORRY!!!!! Nothing to the mark. Would NEVER recommend Bahia Principe to anyone!!!
property was very clean and staff with very friendly food was ok
the staff were nice and ok however , brazilian restaurant staff were not polite. the washroom in kid’s building was very dirty - couldn’t use any of them and the condition very untidy
Bahia offers a good variety of entertainment for kids, our 5yo made a lot of friends with staff at kids club and all the people were very friendly and accommodating. Dining options are good enough and at the average level of all-inclusive options here in Bavaro. For people who complain about deserts: those are european style and sweet enough, now you understand how much sugar actually in your US food. Evening entertainment was really good compared to other hotels in Bavaro area we experienced earlier. There is very nice light and music show at the castle every evening at 8pm. We took off one star for a bunch of minor things, really: the property shows its age and really asking for a renovation. That include kids club and apartments. If you have kids who need to take a nap during the day - ask for a quiet apartment that is not facing castle/main pool, the entertainment there is very loud. The building itself, with long corridors, make you hear every noice in the hall, and stuff/their radios could be quite loud. The drinks zone at Truck Cafe at the beach feels filthy and smells really bad. Food is ok there, would be nice to get "fries only" option in the menu for the kids. Its not always easy to find a spot at the beach after 10a and people still tend to "reserve" those despite signs that prohibit that. Service at dining could be hit and miss, but I would say it's on the average level with other all-inclusive options here in Punta Cana. People still very friendly though.
Our stay at Bahia Principe Fantasia-Punta Cana was Phenomenal! Every staff member we encountered was Happy and an absolute pleasure to be around! Drinks and Food were all Great! Resort, Pools, Beach, and our rooms were well kept and clean. Transportation around the property, to and from the beach, were all timely without much waiting around. Bell Boys were spot on with delivery and handling of our luggage. Our maid made sure our room was taken care of and mini-bar was fully stocked at all times! This was our first time taking our children to a different country and we felt at-ease with our kids at this resort. This resort is on our short-list of returning to again next year. Great Job everyone at Bahia Principe-Punta Cana! Thank you for a wonderful time.
I like that the staff was very considerate of placing us in a villa room with a great view of the pool and castle, and also close to the lobby and buffet seeing that we had a 10 month old. I like the buffet which offered a variety of food. That was very impressive. What we found a little disappointing was the Tequila restaurant. The service was poor. We waited almost 2hrs for food. Nevertheless, the experience at this resort was a memorable one. The cart transportation to the various shops and the beach was very convenient. I highly recommend Bahia Principe Fantasias for family and kids.
Everything was good
I like the pool and beach. But staff had an attitude except for a few. The alcoholic cocktails were very weak. Didn't get a buzz at all. The resturants weren't close to good, but you're bound to like something at the buffet.
Had a great time and great family hotel.
This property is really special for kids, it has castle and beautiful gardens with nice restaurants and a excellent beach. However, the staff, buffet food, and cleanliness is far from the 5 star mark. The most simple requests, the staff couldn't be bothered. They are only after their tips and that's it. Buffet larimar had too many waiters but not effective, I had constantly to reach out to get a drinkNot all of them, Erika (the gourmet) and Wildiv in reception we really the ambassadors at the property and genuinely care about the hotel. We requested late checked out several times before arrival, everyone says yes no problem at a cost of 50usd but the day of departure arrived and we were left with our
Very good stay experience. Was my daughter's first birthday and resort management made sure its memorable.
Canadians are treated great at Fantasia!
Unpleasant service
We had a great time , everything was clean , food was good and great service,
Where do I even begin? The staff barely spoke any English, which made communication difficult. Most of the activities were geared toward very young children, and my son is 8 years old. The food was awful, and the staff was incredibly unfriendly—every time I asked a question, I felt like I was bothering them. I tried to book dinner at the restaurants right when I arrived, but everything was already fully booked. I complained to the concierge, but they didn’t do much to help. They ended up booking me for ridiculously late dinner times, like 9:30 p.m. Who wants to eat that late? I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and I definitely won’t be staying there again.
Was not as expected.. staff was not good..
Loved the whole experience Food beach room entertainment service Friendly people Large room clean bathroom Beautiful beach and pools
The property was very open and a lots of things to do for kids. Beach area was bit tight and there are no elevators where we stayed.
Perfect!! Very safe
Great Resort
Resort was good for family. The food was not good from buffet to all the restaurants we had the 4 nights. I paid for Romantic dinner and got charged for not so good food and didn’t get everything that was offered. Bad weather and they didn’t offer to reschedule instead they put us in a hut to eat lobster and steak. Joelin receptionist and Henry door man made our stay pleasant. I wouldn’t go back
Our passport were violently stolen 3 days before and therefore we could not travel. The hotel had no empathy at all with our situation regarding cancellation or rebooking.
Ideal for kids
Okay
Friendly personal, beautiful beach, great dine options. The check out was awful, there was a charge that I didn't do, extremely complicated and time consuming to get rid of. Lady at the desk just helpless!!
Positives - kids friendly resort, lot of activities, clean beach Negatives - Room need an upgrade, food options less compared to grand punta cana( we couldn’t eat here and had to get access to other resort so we can eat)
Except one incident overall great experience. Staff is great and had fun time. One incident we were extremely unhappy was the Bahia privilege sales staff. The sales person misguided us intentionally to force us to sit in one hour sales pitch. He didn't mention anything about one hour though when he presented it. Took us to different building and when we refused and left his attitude was extremely bad as he would not get sales point. He was not just rude but misbehaving. When I confronted him for his lies he got even more offensive. After spending thousands of dollars for trip we felt disappointed at this behaviour. One person literally made it into a bad start for the trip. However I will not take away the good service overall by rest of the staff including servers at restaurants and Also entertainment staff. Hence our favourable rating for resort.
I love it, we will return. The food variety was amazing and the service excellent. The entertainment staff was very creative, we really loved the place
.
This was our third time going to Fantasia, and we chose it because the first two times, everything was so good. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same this time. The lack of maintenance on the facilities is very notorious. The castle needs paint, the curtains need to be replaced, and the chairs at the buffet were very dirty. The main concern is the food! A la carte dinners were fully reserved, but when you went there, they weren't. I am assuming they count the reserves in the number of plates they have available or staff, not the number of tables. The first night, we ate at a Japanese restaurant in Grand Punta Cana. The show was nothing; he just flamed once. The restaurant was very dirty. The second night, we ate at Le Gourmet. The food was cold, and the sauce over the meat told me the food was already served. That's a good point; there was a kids' buffet inside. On the third night, we couldn’t find a spot. Thankfully, that night was the Dominican show, so we ended up eating at the buffet, and the show was awesome! Last night we ate at Garden Circus and the food was cold again. Overall, the food at the buffet was good (even better than the restaurant), but it was cold. I hope Fantasia comes back how it was.
100/10 experience. Aside from the cleanliness, endless food options and beautiful location, the staff here was AMAZING! Mauro Sanchez Santana, Maicol & Pablo were very welcoming and accommodating. There was a few others whose names I wish I had to include. Although this was not my first time staying at a Bahia Principe location, this was by far my favorite one. I will definitely be going back! I definitely recommend staying with the VIP access to be able to go to all the parts of the hotel.
This is a family vacation paradise. And the food was INCREDIBLE! Best I’ve ever had!! The staff were friendly and it felt so safe.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself! All staff were great, friendly and helpful. Easy going family friendly atmosphere. Wish there were more adult activities but otherwise great!
Everything is good
This resort needs to be seriously refurbished. The games room had water leaking in, broken machines and a hole in the ceiling with caution tape around a broken floor. We ended up switching to the luxury Esmerelda after our son got sick the second night. Proceed with caution.
Every thing was very good only the flooring in swimming pool area was slippery and lobby area ands eating area it erotic be nice to use different flooring for prevent no to be slippery. Other wise every thing was good. Thank you
Recently stayed here as a family of four. We cannot say enough great things about the staff & entertainment at Bahia Fantasia. Everyone from the front desk, wait staff & especially kids club & entertainment staff were all excellent. The beach was great but slowly eroding away. Our only issue was the food, which was terrible. The Japanese hibachi probably the worst at the resort. They kept the chicken and beef out the entire time, when the service was over they just left it out raw for the next table. The French restaurant my husband was sick for 36 hours from the appetizer there. Worst meal we had but service was excellent. The Italian was probably the best we had, the Greek was also good. Everything else wasn’t great. The bar by the beach for Fantasia needs an upgrade as does the buffet there. Besides the food everything else was great.
Tasty food, nice and welcoming staff .
food was not that good
Extremely crowded beach, "train" to beach was always full and we had to walk. There are not enough staff to help with restaurants. The best restaurants were consistently booked ahead of time so book as soon as you arrive
Everything excellent
The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning design and many activities to do with kids. The staff is incredible—always helpful, ready to assist, and very kind, especially with children. Communication with the staff was excellent, and their willingness to collaborate made our stay even more enjoyable. There are plenty of activities for kids, and everything is very clean. The beach is gorgeous, well-maintained, and spotless. The transportation within the resort and to nearby locations, including the beach and other hotels, is very convenient. Everything about this place is amazing, and I would love to come back!
The beach area was beautiful and with the VIP access we had access to multiple pools and all of the restaurants. The restaurants were very good though the drinks were usually very weak. The french restaurant was my favorite. The buffets were very good as well, especially on Christmas Eve, however there was a bit of chaos with the amount of people. The beach buffet was excellent as well with freshly cooked steaks, pork chops and seafodd paella. The kids water park as well is amazing, lots of slides. Mosquitos were rampant in the lobby and restaurant terraces, even though we had repellent on. Some of the amenities they should not advertise, like the games area, and the teen "loft". The games area was damaged from a flood and the loft was smelly and grungy. The rooms were nice ans spacious and there was a wonderful sweets and chocolate tray when we arrived. The sofa bed was all made up as well for our kid and it was perfect for her. Unfortunately, they advertised a car transfer service from the airport which never showed up despite booking and paying in advance (or maybe because of it). To get my lost money I had to go through Visa as they were not answering by phone or email. The hotel could do nothing as they had to "work with their supplier". On a previous trip I had arranged transfer with a different company and had no issues. The hotel should not be promoting a supplier they have not fully vetted and have no way of refunding guest's money. They offered absolutely nothing.
Checkin: we were large group of 5 families, expected long check in. Wilson helped us out by finding us rooms in the same building and close to each others which was very helpful. He was very friendly and accommodating and did upgrade our rooms to Castle view. They have at every building a family concierge service to assist with anything I guess, Rosa in building 98 was extremely helpful and friendly and helped us out with dinner reservations. It was very disappointing to learn the dinner reservations can be made 10 days in advance and even before arriving at the hotel. Nothing was mentioned about this when we booked our hotel. We couldn’t try all restaurants because of this and had to repeat one of the restaurants twice The beach: short walk through Esmeralda and you get there. They have towels at the esmeralda pool for you to take to the beach. You can’t relax at the beach as you feel that you are at the flea market with plenty of vendors coming in trying to sell you something (cigars, boat rides, jewelry…etc). We didn’t enjoy the beach much as it was very windy. Larimar: open buffet, we used it daily for breakfast. The staff were unfriendly. Food quality is way below average, everything looks not fresh. Pool snacks: not a lot of option, pizza/hotdog/cheese sandwich/ Bars: plenty of bar options everywhere, again you don’t feel welcomed when you order your drinks Coffee: one brew coffee stand at the lobby, not that great. Cookies and cake next to it, not fresh Ital
This property could use some updating and staff training.
The Staff at the Buffet was very rude, they ignore you if you ask a question. I was told I had to wait for some coffee and if I want faster service I can dine inside. My family finish eating and we could not get anything to drink. My kids waited in line for almost 1 hr. and half to get their face painted. when they were next the girl came can say oh we have to close off. waste of time. My little daughter was in tears. I am very disappointed and will never go back there.
Property was nice, no issue there. Was very busy being a Holiday week and maybe that attributed to issues we experienced. Our issue was the food was really bad. Understand hard to cook for thousands of people, but it was just bad. No seasoning, cold, sitting out too long, etc.
Rich in entertainment but facility is outdated. Also, food and beverages are below average
Great for children
Great property with a great experience for our family of 5. Room was large and confortable. Staff was excellent in all areas. The nighttime shows were family friendly and fun. The dining options were very good with a nice variety. No skimping with the all inclusive option as staff was willing to fill drinks and accommodate dining requests without batting an eye. Bring lots of sunscreen and mosquito repellent for the evening. I definitely recommend for a family vacation.
It was ok. Our second time at fantasia. Love the beach and beach restaurant and bar. A La carte restaurants are pretty good quality. Room cleanliness is good.
The stay was excellent by Resort, however the booking by Hotel.com was terrible because my reservation were 02 adults and 02 Children (11 and 6 years old) and during the check in in the resort, the booking by you was 02 adults and 02 babies and during my claim to assist agent by hotel.com, I never had a positive response with this, the resort was waiting one day by you to update the information and eating for your calling, finally to complete my vacation and surprise to my daughters I pay extra money for my children (1611 dollars) to enter the resort, bad experience to obtain booking on line with you and the resort was excellent
Overall, we appreciate the variety of activities and dining options available at the hotel. However, we did notice that the floor can be quite slippery due to the frequent rain and the flooring material. Additionally, there was a noticeable odor in the hallway, and the water temperature could be uncomfortably hot during the day. While the staff are very friendly, communication may be a bit challenging for those who do not speak Spanish.
This is not a 5 star resort. Lacked cleanliness, food quality was poor, resort needs extensive maintenance and customer service leaves a LOT to be desired.
Staff could be more accommodating.
Amazing amazing people definitely going back
Dining options was great, however it was impossible to make a reservation for some restaurants due to amount of people in the hotel i believe.
The check-in process at the lobby was time consuming even though after completing online check-in through the app. The staff lacks English language capability which adds additional challenges for non-Spanish speakers. The dining options were ok with limited options for vegetarians and vegans. The biggest problem being no clear indication of the food is really a vegetarian or not. There are some indicators but not sufficiently clear. The Christmas entertainment activities and events were decent but nothing much fancy. The bike tour was a joke with bikes in terrible condition. Overall, a good trip but the value for money at Bahia-Punta Cana is not great as compared to Moon Palace-Cancun as they provide vide much more for the same/similar cost coming in from the US.
Great property. Poor service.
Room was oled and Plumbing was damaged
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bahia Principe Fantasia . Beautiful resort , helpful staff and delicious food . Excellent option for families with kids ! Special thanks to Rosaury at the help desk , Christina family concierge and Juan at the bell desk .
Awesome resort and staff
The property is huge and there is so much that you can explore. The restaurants are better than the buffet options. Hotel is very dated and rooms smell like mildew/mold.
Food was not labeled properly and my son accidentally ate octopus (he is vegetarian). I explained to the staff but staff doesn’t speak proper English and no apology or changes or other accommodations were made. VIP amenities were not explained and not enough staff spoke English. Dinner is too late, given that it is a family friendly resort and lots of children were falling asleep in the lobby while waiting for the doors to open. Towels also ran out and people had to wait hours for more towels. Fire alarm was going off the entire time in the buffet (in the main lobby- Larimar)
I recently stayed at Bahia Principe Fantasia with my family, and it was an incredible experience. The service was outstanding from the moment we arrived. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The Kids Club was a highlight, offering a wide range of fun activities that kept my kid entertained and happy. The food was excellent, both at the restaurants and the buffet, with plenty of delicious options for everyone. This hotel is perfect for families looking to enjoy quality time together. Highly recommended!
Dirty cafeteria.
Excelente servicio
One of the best experiences I ever had. We already planning our next trip
Great!!!
I loved that they allowed me to change my room and let me pick the room I wanted. The room assigned was close to the pool and was too noisy. They took me to view 2 rooms and gave me the option to pick. They also did not charge for my room service.
A lovely resort to stay at! Stayed on the family friendly side but had access to all the resorts which was a plus, staff were friendly and helpful and food/drinks were delicious, overall a great experience!
Perfect relaxing gateaway. Only drawback is the room service, which could be made faster.
Property had a lot of options since we had the VIP access and were able to go to every resort
Exelent over all
The property was great for kids. Amenities were great for kids in general with lots of activities arranged. But the food was horrible. The Indian Thali restaurant was pathetic. We ordered tandoori chicken but got boiled chicken/roasted chicken without any marination. Butter chicken was boiled chicken in tomato sauce. The buffet breakfast and lunch was ok. The food ordered via room service was bland and tasteless. The only savior in terms of food was the Italian restaurant (IL Paradiso). The staff even though polite didn't know english and it was difficult to communicate with them for common requests like "hot water" or "cold milk". All they could converse was in Spanish, not an issue but when the resort hosts foreign tourists basic english is expected as thats the most common language spoken and understood across the globe. Overall it was ok but not great.
Excellent
We book Bahía Fantasia for our Good Vacation but we bit disappointed from food and they even didn’t ask us for good food. We are purely vegetarians and get very very limited food. They has to improve on that. Also the room was so so as well. We found cockroaches there. I’m not saying that they are bed but what we expect we didn’t get those. We like Rieu palace more.
Hospitality and resort in general was great. The perfect resort for children and families!!
Workers are lazy like working by free. There is no transporation to axit gate or Kennedy did not help us we missed our buddy tour because of him.
It was an excellent facility connected to their sister resort free of charge; would consider come again.
We stayed here for 6 nights and 7 days. Our first room- the bathroom door knob was broken. Each member of our family was locked in the bathroom. We had to ask 6 times for the door knob to be replaced. Then we had plumbing emergency and there was water coming through the ceiling in the bathroom. The pool area is extremely slippery. Unless you are going with small children - I would skip this resort and stay elsewhere.
Very nice hotel
Very nice hotel
We had an amazing time at the hotel. I have nothing but say thank you to all the staff members that made our experience to be the best. They clean our room daily, food was great at the 5 restaurant that we try. The food at the buffet was really good too. We love the kids club, my son was always asking ask to take him there because he had some much fun from day one. They girls at the kids club are very friendly and you can tell kids have a day full of activities. For the must part everyone was very friendly and nice. The only thing I notice was that the employees at the bars are always looking for tips. Other than that everything’s was amazing and we can’t wait to be back.
Everything was so good.great for g Families with kids
5-Star Resort
Very good property
Kids friendly
Had a great time, would definitely be back.
Pool was amazing but lacking kids activities or maybe not posted to everyone. It should be printed and mentioned at check in or provided with check in
We had excellent stay at Fantasia.. there are so many options for kids to explore and enjoy.. Waterpark has good slides for kids.. Beach is also in nearby walking distance..

Had a lot to do
