Great Stay at Bagdad Cafe

This was a nice hotel to stay at staff was super friendly and helpful and location is next to Ait Benhaddu. I would highly recommend for a short stay in this area. Rooms were spacious and clean with great amenities. They also provide a nice breakfast.

Proximity to Ait Ben Haddhu

Great walking location for Ait Ban Haddou. Staff extremely welcoming and friendly Plenty of options for breakfast, ample options for dinner. I was only there for one night so only had chance to sample the menu once but the chicken tagine was very good. Rooms clean and smell very note, comfortable bed. Very peaceful at night for a good sleep. Pool clean but due to my short time there was unable to use it.

Simple but efficient and the restaurant provides delicious foods.

Great location very close to ait Ben haddou, room very comfortable and good value for money. Staff were super friendly and helpful in navigating visiting the ksar, finding a few miscellaneous things in local market, and ensuring we were well fed! Definitely recommend!

This was a beautiful hotel. It was stylishly decorated, clean and the staff/owners were all kind and professional. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a place near Ait Ben Haddou!

Best hotel in Morocco!

Best hotel in Morocco!! Once you enter the town the hotel is there. It is very modern and clean. The staff was super friendly and breakfast was amazing! I would come here back again. Ait Ben Haddou is a 5-10 minute walk behind the hotel. AC amazing, bed amazing, shower amazing!

Highly recommend!

Very accommodating bc when we arrived they realized I had made the reservation for the night prior accidentally. A quick call to the owner and all was well. We had dinner there as well with a fixed menu and wine for the adults and pizza for my daughter. Breakfast was good too. Drew us a map of the ruins so we could mosey around on our own and told us where to go to avoid the self-appointed 'guides.'

Excellent lodging, excellent service, excellent location. Worthwhile traveling half-way around the world to discover this accommodation. In addition, the small details that made the experience unforgettable such as : within walking distance of Ait Ben Haddou, refreshing pool, beer and wine!, etc. The hotel name is inspired from the movie "Bagdad Cafe" (1987), must see!

The Best Option in Ait Ben Haddou !!

A clean and comfortable stay in the tiny town of Air Ben Haddou. The European owners were incredibly warm and welcoming. They went out of their way to make our stay as good as possible. Great location, just across from the World Heritage Site. An excellent value as well. The best place to stay in Ait Ben Haddou

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!! The room was clean, smelled wonderful and was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming and dinner and breakfasts were some of the best we had during our time in Morocco. We couldn't be happier!!! By far, one of the very best hotel experiences we've ever had!!!! Can't say enough good stuff about them.

Arrive as strangers, leave as family!

I cannot say enough about how amazing our experience was staying at Bagdad Cafe. The owners are very hands on, from the time you arrive and park directly outside, they are there helping with bags. Check-in was simple. Tea and homemade cookies were served. They helped us come up with an itinerary and suggestions for every part of our day. Breakfast was by far the best we have had in Morocco. Yes, you get the bread and jams, but also your choice of eggs, crepes, a beautiful fruit cocktail and all the tea and coffee you could ask for. We chose to eat dinner there as well and every meal was wonderful. The room is simple, but all you could need. The aircon/heat was good. The wifi is free, but as with most places in Morocco, it's enough to check facebook but you won't be posting photos or downloading anything. We were there in December so it was too cold to swim but the pool is lovely and each room is off the pool courtyard which reminded me of Melrose place. From the terrace you can see Ait Benhaddou. However, the best part of staying here was the relationship you form with the owners.

Best stay in Morocco

We are so happy we chose to stay at this Riad. The owners Mohamad and Rose are the nicest hosts and went well out of their way to make us feel welcome into their home. When we checked in we were greeted with mint tea and biscuits and then given hand drawn maps of hikes we could take based on our interests and other info about the area and he answered all our questions. Spending around 30 min with us. The rooms are well decorated, spotless and very comfortable and dinner was the best we had in Morocco. They had a set menu and being a vegetarian I couldn't eat the main dish so they happily offered me other options which were delicious. I can't highly recommend this riad enough. It was the best stay and food we had in Morocco and as mentioned the hosts couldn't have been any nicer.

Great service and great dinner & breakfast. A few minutes walk to the Ait Benhaddou. The owner is really nice :)

Welcoming hotel and dinner in a scenic location

The hotel provided all the essentials we needed. After a warm welcome, we enjoyed a nice dinner and good nights sleep in our comfortable room. During a nice breakfast our host provided advice on our adventures ahead in the Ouarzazate region and booked us a room for the next night. We are very happy to recommend Bagdad Café to fellow travellers

Cheap but very cheerful!

This Riad was the place in Morocco where we got the most value for money. It is what you'd expect and more for the star-rating and cost. Service was great, the room was big and had all you needed for an overnight stay. We did not get breakfast as we had to leave early in the morning but the Riad provided a small takeaway breakfast for us upon checkout.

Great owner & host. Petite rooms, high quality of amenities are provided. Very clean rooms. Welcome drink & snacks are provided. Breakfast could be better, dinner is somewhat expensive in moroccan standards. Wi-fi is very slow, since the town is in a remote location.

Best value with high standards

Very nice hotel with owners who go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Truly has very high standards and is the best value of any we stayed at for two weeks in Morocco. Can not be beat for the price, and direct access to the old village.

very welcoming

The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the old kazbah. The rooms are very large and their tagines and mint tea were the best we had whilst in Morocco. What really set this hotel apart from the others we stayed at were the owners who were effortlessly friendly and welcoming. They took the time to discuss our planned route driving around the country and suggested a few changes to fit in the todres gorge, which was well worth the effort. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Great stay with lovely staff

The hotel owners, Mohammed and Rose, went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The room was very comfortable and spacious, modern bathroom, and the wifi was good. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the Kasbah of Ait-Benhaddou. The dinner was good, and the breakfast was very nice (according to my partner), and since I couldn't eat much as I had food-poisoning, they were kind enough to buy me some bananas for breakfast. They also gave us good travel tips for our onward journey, and even called our car rental company for us to obtain directions to their office in Marrakesh. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Havre de paix

Nous avons adoré cette maison d'hôtes aux charmes indéniables! L'accueil avec le thé et les petits fours ont été appréciés. Les chambres sont très propres, joliment décorées et la literie très confortable. Petit bémol pour le petit déjeuner qui n'a pas été à la hauteur de l'établissement : crêpes sèches et insipides, jus d'orange imbuvable ( un comble au Maroc) et du coup un des pires petits déjeuners pendant notre séjour au Maroc...

Accueil parfait avec quelques gourmandises appréciables Chambre magnifique et surtout grand confort, aménagement qualitatif et moderne Le personnel est au top pour tout conseil visite service cuisine, nous avons déguster un couscous délicieux comme à la maison, bravo à toute l’équipe Pas de bruit, piscine, transat et petits salons dans les différentes cours Propriétaire à l’accueil sympathique On vous conseille vivement cette belle adresse, nous y reviendrons c’est certain

Un hotel extraordinario, la comodidad, la atención y el aseo. El personal es muy atento a pesar de que llegamos tarde de la noche y después de la hora de check in estuvieron siempre pendiente de nosotros y nos recibieron tarde y nos abrieron el hotel. Las habitaciones las mejores cómodas el desayuno muy especial, volvería a este maravilloso hotel con maravilloso personal. Gracias al personal por la atención prestada. Great and communicative host, providing lots of useful information and tips. Nice and well maitained property, tasty breakfast and a real coffee from beans (not instant). Restaurant on the site. Spacious room and bathroom, free bottled water helping in this dry conditions. Free parking place in front of property. Simply great stay

Très bel endroit et bien situé pour visiter le Ksar d'Aït Ben Haddou qui est juste derrière l'hôtel. Les repas y sont excellents. Par contre, l'accueil pourrait être amélioré.

Best stopover near to the desert

We were curious about the quality of the boutique hotel as it was located at a remote city but highly rated. It turned out that the boutique hotel was better than expected. It just took 3 minutes to walk to Ait Ben Haddous. The room was perfect, nice bed, clean, warm and comfortable. Lunch was charged at reasonable price and tasted good. You would have pancakes, bread and fruit, many things to eat during breakfast. Highly recommend to those who need a good rest before entering or after leaving the desert.

Precioso hotel, buena relación calidad-precio

Muy buen establecimiento, el personal muy amable, las instalaciones muy completas y muy limpio. La única pega es el hecho de que la separación entre el baño y la habitación no es completa, es una pared de metro y medio que no llega hasta el techo, por lo que el vapor de agua y los diversos olores del baño inundan toda la habitación.

Atendimento perfeito. Proprietários extremamente simpáticos e acolhedores, quarto amplo e confortável e café da manhã delicioso. Super recomendo.

Agradable

El hotel se encuentra muy bien ubicado, esta muy limpio y es bonito. El único problema fue al pagar, desde España ya nos habían cobrado la estancia de la tarjeta y pretendían que les dejase de nuevo la tarjeta para pagar. Además, si cenas ahí, tienes que pagar en efectivo.....contradictorio, no? Aceptan tarjeta para la habitación pero no para la cena. En general, excepto eso, bien.

A ne pas manquer 10/10

Hôtel petit mais super, accueil, propreté, localisation à deux pas à pieds de Ait ben haddou , cuisine pour les repas du soir en option, piscine, ... rien a dire sinon Bravo. Très bon rapport qualité /prix. Penser à réserver, souvent plein, à ne pas manquer cette adresse...
