Azur exceeded all out expectations, which were very high considering the price. But their service exceeds world class luxury hotels, the unit is amazing with so many thoughtful touches to truly pamper you in luxury. Location is beautiful with amazing views, and it's truly relaxing. We really didn't want to leave and definitely want to return. It is well worth the price. Their breakfast, afternoon tea & canapé are delicious, everyone on staff are extremely friendly and responsive, and their car service to town makes it possible for you to not have to have a car during your stay. I've stayed in many very nice hotels around the world and I have to rank Azur at the top in terms of how they pamper you & surround you with luxury. The massage therapists from mobile massage - Indulge - are some of the best we've experienced. We had two Japanese masseuses for a couples massage and they were fantastic. The staff at the hotel are mostly from other countries and it was fun to talk to them. They're all very kind and well trained. I highly recommend Azur.

Beautiful property and amazing staff

Really professional and excellent customer service during our stay. The view outside of our window was breathtaking. Nice and clean facility, quiet and have a good sense of taste. Friendly staff members. Great they offer transportation to the city area, with very flexible time. The only thing can be improved is the hair dryer. We loved our stay with Azur and would definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to go to Queenstown

The view is astonishing. The services provided make this quite property very attractive. The staff would drive us to town and pick us up just a call away.

The location is beautiful and private, and the services are all-encompassing. Best part of Azur, though, is its team. They coordinate everything possible, internal and external to the property, to craft the overall experience you want from your visit to Queenstown.

This was my second stay at Azur Lodge. The friendliness of the staff are comfortable surroundings are outstanding. Afternoon tea and drinks with canopies are just some of the welcoming touches. Nothing is too much trouble. A wonderful place to stay and we will return.

Fantastic stay and outstanding service.Fantastic breakfast and afternoon tea! Room has however shown some wear and age (ie. leaking shower head in the spa) however has not reduced our satisfaction in the stay.

The entire team at Azur are to be recommended, my sister and I had never experienced such a luxurious 5 star stay before, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming, we couldn’t fault them. They aim to make you feel at ease, and not to lift a finger, we were out of place compared to our normal style accommodation, but enjoyed every second. If you’re looking to treat yourself, for whatever reason, choose Azur!

The photos on this page doesn't do justice how absolutely gorgeous the villas and the view of the mountains are! We stayed at the Azur Lodge for our honeymoon! The bed was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the deep soaking indoor hot tub with the mountain view. We also loved the staff's genuine hospitality, and our attendants were the nicest people ever. They gave us a bottle od bubbles as a gift for our trip.Thank you so much for this unforgettable stay! Our only regret was staying for just one night!

Firstly the Villa was very well laid out, spacious and afforded magnificent views and the privacy we like. We had guests a couple of times and being able to share a drink and nibbles with enough space was great I'm only sorry we couldn't stay for a week!

Extremely terrible, unreasonable and unfair policy definitely ensure that you have extra insurance. They care more about profit than people experiencing their luxury accommodation and enjoying it. And also don't have a basic concept of the whole of life cost of a potential customer and the spending they would bring back if they were treated well and fairly upfront. Extremely disappointed do not recommend having anything to do with this accommodation. Expedia please remove their listing.

Magnificent Stay

Truly magnificent hotel and service! Mia and the team looked after us from the get-go. They were always reminding us that they are there and asking if there is anything we need. Best service we have ever received at a hotel! Also the view, amenities and size of villa are amazing. We will definitely be back!

Without a question the nicest place we've ever stayed! The staff truely went above and beyond in very way, the setting could not have been any better and the villa was immaculate. I can't think of anything to fault at all. We had such an amazing time and would reccomend Azur without hesitation. Can't wait to be back there!

Great location, amazing staff and fantastic facility

The lodge is a fabulous place to stay. It lived up to our expectations, the actual lodge itself was beautiful, private, great /spectacular views, Excellent lodge layout. The staff made your stay, nothing was to much trouble from breakfast, through to tea, drinks, canapés and in room dining arranged. They discreetly serviced the room and sorted excursions as required. Highly recommended Definitely our favourite stay during our three week trip in NZ.

Quite Simply the Best Experience

I am really big on customer service and there is not one thing. One thing that I can fault the Azur on. From the time of booking they were attentive and provided some really useful local information. I told them what I wanted from the weekend and without fuss they went out of their way to make enquiries and book restaurants/excursions etc. Everything was pretty much sewn up within 24 hours of making the booking. From the time of arrival in Queenstown to the time of departure they couldn't do enough for us. If I sound like I am gushing I am, because quite simply these guys deserve all the praise that I can give. The setting is spectacular; the facilities are sensational; the villa was spacious; but this all means nothing if there's no customer service - and this was there in bucket loads. The front desk; the 'guest services assistant'; the porters; the pastry chef; the kitchen assistants; the cleaners. Every person to a tee was brilliant. I cannot recommend the Azur enough. If you are after a 5 star experience get this booked in. You will be disappointed if you go anywhere else.

An amazing stay in paradise

This hotel is one of the best we have stayed at in the world. Amazing service, an incredible site and view and wonderful suites with bathtub facing he mountains, comfortable bed and well appointed units with fireplace and deck overlooking the lake and mountains. They catered to our every wish, helped us with sites and served a wonderful breakfast. Absolutely fabulous stay and super people made this the best stay on out three week trip.

The chalet was spacious with amazing views. There was great service from staff who were highly attentive and always ready to help. We would come back to this place in a heart beat.

Exceptional

Exceptional stay in a beautiful location. Service was highly personalised, professional, and friendly. Nothing was too much to ask... a glass of wine, celtic sea salt for the bath, food from any restaurant locally delivered to our room by the staff, chauffeur driven service locally whenever requested, bespoke breakfast (when we asked what were the breakfast options we were delighted to be told, "anything you want we'll get"!). Rooms are comfortable, spacious, high-spec, and with an incredible view. Excellent place, exceptional staff, thoroughly enjoyable - just don't expect to want to leave your room for the first day or two!

Relaxing luxury paradise with service at its best!

Gorgeous, breathtaking views no matter where you look. Stunning views of the lake and the mountains can be seen from your bed, the couch, and even from the tub in the bathroom. A private patio surrounds you in serene landscapes and lovely sounds and allows you to totally escape and leave all your worries behind. The staff is so friendly. From the moment we pulled up, they made sure our bags made it to our room immediately and they helped us book all our activities right away based on the length of our stay and the weather forecasts. The staff is very organized and attentive to your needs. Then there are the rooms. Each room is a full private lodge with buttons and switches for everything. Heated floors, automatic fireplace, jetted tub, surround sound for the t.v. and any music device, and enough lights to set any kind of mood. All drinks and snacks in the room are complimentary except for any hard alcohol. You don’t have to worry about being nickel and dimed at Azur. It is truly luxury at its best. Everything is tranquil and worry free. They even provide complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea and refreshments, and pre-dinner canapés. For dinner, if you choose to stay in and not go out to town, you can order from a list of restaurants in the area and they will bring the food to you and set it up at no extra charge (just pay for the food)! Everything at Azur is absolutely exquisite! You can't go wrong here. If it's something you can afford, don't miss out or you'll regret it!

the best of the best

We ended our journey around the South Island of New Zealand with a four night stay at Azur. I admit that while I am very picky about accommodations and always seek out comfortable, clean, elegant and typically more expensive lodgings, I worried for months-- in the period between when I booked Azur and our actual journey-- that this was too much to pay. My fears were relieved. Azur was an impeccable experience. Staff was incredible, attentive to our every wish. At the same time, we had all the privacy we could want. The villas were like home, only better. We opted for in-room dining every night; tell the staff what you want from which restaurant and they go get it for you and set up the dining table (we even opted for the famous Fergburger without having to wait in the equally famous line). Talk about spoiled! This was the perfect place to have a luxurious and romantic get-away.

F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!!!

Tom, Helen, Tonia and Gavin made our stay simply fantastic. The staff pay attention to all the details and they're ALWAYS wanting to help out. They drove us and picked us up from town so many times. They gave great tips on what to do and, better yet, took care of setting us up with all the activities and restaurants we chose. The hotel itself is superb. I've travelled all over the world and I hadn't stayed in one room with such a beautiful landscape. It's really remarkable. To sum up: even though it was expensive, it was worth every single penny and I plan to coming back!

One of the Best Hotels Ever

Loved this hotel! The best part was the view. It was phenomenal. The service was one of fhe best i have ever experienced. They also have a shuttle car to take you to town if you dont drive. The breakfast- omg the french toast was amazing!! Will be back.
