A great hotel in a tastefully refurbed old house in the Old Town. Amazing location at one ofvthe most photograped spots. Superbs service - Iro and Artemis werr standouts aa were ALL the others but did not get their names. We had room 202 ...one to die. Massive breakfasts. We were sad to leave

Amazing Stay

We had an amazing stay for two nights. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The hotel was in a perfect location in the old town and I cannot say enough about how great the staff was. They were welcoming, informative, and went out of their way to help us make the most out of our stay via recommendations/suggestions. I would highly recommend.

Our stay at Azade was excellent. Our room was the 'Superior Suite with Old Harbor View' and it was a lovely room with lots of space for two people and plenty of closet space for clothes. The complimentary welcome snacks were a very nice touch. The four poster bed is large and very comfortable. The small balcony overlooking the popular street below and the harbor area was also fantastic. There is air conditioning in the bedroom and living room areas which keeps the room nice and cool. The cleaning staff do an excellent job keeping the rooms immaculate every day. The breakfast was also a highlight and featured a huge range of delicious hot and cold food options, prepared to order. The property itself is very charming and is in an ideal location in the old town. The only two downsides were the parking which is very limited (no private parking available) and the sound insulation in the hotel could have been better. We often had to drive around for 20-30 mins to find parking and usually had to walk 15 mins to the hotel, which is ok unless you're carrying a lot of bags. We found the sound insulation in our room to be poor and could hear guests in the room above us walking around as well as the staff/guests talking at reception below us. Overall this is a lovely hotel with brilliant staff and we would recommend it to anyone staying in Chania.

It is a stunning hotel, beautifully decorated, quiet, comfortable and right in the heart of the old town. Amazing breakfast with generous freshly made-to-order portions catering for dietary requirements such as gluten-free. The staff though are the highlight welcoming you like family, recommending places to visit and great restaurants to have dinner. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are well-appointed and the whole place is spotlessly clean. Beach towels are available on request and there is free parking nearby only a few minutes walk as the old town is closed to vehicles. I would come here again and this has been the pinnacle of our three week trip and has made our first time in Crete very special

Azade was truly an amazing place to stay and spend our honeymoon. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the area and things to do. The breakfast is incredible and so delicious and enough food to keep you full until dinner. We will definitely be coming back to Azade next time we visit and recommend it to anyone we know who is visiting Crete

Hotel AZADE Chania

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were amazing and so helpful. They listened and gave us lots of good suggestions for our trip to Chania. We loved the hotel. The location was not so easy to navigate but if you reach out to the staff before you arrive, they will come out to assist you. The accommodations were very comfortable and well located to the old port. Highly recommend it!

Elegant hotel at a great location

Beautifully tasteful property in a fantastic location in Old Town of Chania. Shops and restaurants are aplenty and you're just a five minute walk to the Venetian Harbor while our room was set far back from the street and totally quiet.

We absolutely loved our stay at AZADE. The rooms were spectacular and breakfast was great. The hotel is based in the old town so it’s always buzzing. The parking situation is not ideal - if you have a rental car it will not be the easiest to park. But in regards to the hotel, it was lovely.

We loved this hotel! The staff was very kind and accommodating, giving us great recommendations for places to eat. The rooms were beautiful and clean, with great views. It also has an excellent breakfast. The hotel is in the middle of the Old Town, and very convenient to all shopping and sightseeing. I highly recommend Azade for anyone visiting Chania!

Exceptional stay and fabulous service

This was a fabulous start to our European holiday. Xanthos, Iro, Artemis and the whole team were exceptional. Eva had our breakfast order ready when we arrived each morning. The room was wonderful and we felt very well looked after. I would not hesitate to recommend this boutique hotel. We will be back.

Our stay at Azade Chania is beyond amazing. The hotel was built between 1600 - 1700 with a lot of history. Since it's newly renovated, the design is traditional with a modern touch. The rooms are super clean and spotless. We love the location of the hotel although it require few minutes walk from parking area, as located in one of the most beautiful lanes in the old town. It's an experience walking in and out every time. The staffs are very helpful and always there when needed. The breakfast are very well prepared with traditional set dishes and personalized cooked dishes to mix and match. It gives full satisfaction and energy for the day to explore city or enjoy the beach and sea. Highly recommend and definitely in my list of going back hotels.

This is the most fabulous hotel. Rebuilt from two 16th century properties, it is now an absolute delight to stay in. The staff were - without exception - friendly and helpful. The manager could not do enough for you. The breakfasts were superb, and our room had every convenience you could wish for. The location (in the heart of the old town) is stunning, and there is no shortage of restaurants nearby. This was one of our most enjoyable holidays ever, and we have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to others.

My partner and I had such a lovely stay at the AZADE. Everything was perfect, the grounds of the hotel were beautiful, the breakfast was excellent, and our room was so comfortable. We love how conveniently located the hotel was, only steps away from the Venetian Harbor and all the shops we wanted to visit. We would love to visit again, and will recommend the AZADE to all our friends visiting Chania. We also want to thank the hotel staff for being so kind and accommodating, and giving us fantastic recommendations for Chania and Crete. We were very well taken care of, in all aspects.

I stayed at the Azade on Sept 8-23 As a Greek Canadian I must tell you that this hotel far exceeded my expectations. The staff was simply the BEST hotel staff I have ever encountered. Let’s begin with Artemis who greeted us with a smile from the moment of check in to the day we left. She offered her suggestions on where to dine and what to do as a local and not a tourist. All of her suggestions were spot on and we enjoyed every place she sent us to. Then there was Maria who also worked the front desk. Her cheerful attitude was so welcoming. The kitchen staff was equally incredibly attentive. Once we had ordered our first breakfast, our coffee for the next day was already on the table! They accommodated every wish we had. From giving us extra Cretan cookies for our evening coffee on the rooftop to preparing a to go freshly squeezed orange juice for the road. To say they were the perfect 10 would be putting it lightly. Eva was our server most mornings and she served us as if we were family. I want to take a extra moment to say that the head of housekeeping, Eleni personally treated us as if we were her family. She made sure to leave extra coffee, tea, milk and towels to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I honestly felt as though I was visiting family. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. To me, everyone has become a friend. I will be returning to the Azade as I would never book a stay anywhere else in the Old Harbour again. Thank you guys for a memorable stay! ♥️

One of the best hotels I have stayed at in my life. Perfect location, right in the city center, but it felt like its own world. Impeccable design, and some of the most helpful and attentive staff I have ever met. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We had the most pleasant stay at Azade Chania. The hotel is well located, beautifully renovated, comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel staff are such lovely, kind and helpful people.

We loved this hotel & hope to return again soon. Everything was perfect. The team were amazing, we felt like one of the family. Breakfast was delicious. Slept like a baby in our beautiful room. We didn’t want to leave. Thank you for a wonderfu trip. Oh and did I mention the panoramic view?!😍Heaven.

The property is very nice and the staff fine but we booked the grand suite for a fairly expensive rate which has a king bed and a queen bed in another room and the hotel emailed me when I confirmed the room had two beds and told me we had to pay additional. This was nowhere in any literature from Expedia or on the hotels website that it would cost more for 4 people. It was over $100/day - I understand if they want to charge us for the breakfast for extra people, but I’d want to option to eat there or not. We could have eaten a great brunch elsewhere for all of us for the price of one person. It wasn’t worth the final price at all.

Beautiful place, gorgeous breakfast

Azade Hotel is gorgeous, with beautiful sea views, modern and soothing decor, yet inclusive of its history. The staff are fabulous, the food was wonderful, and the welcome was one of the best parts of our trip. We will definitely go back, and recommend it highly.

Absolutely amazing boutique hotel on the middle of Old Town Chania. Walk out of the main entrance into a quaint alley way with boutique shops and lovely restaurants and cafes. The architecture and design furnishings are absolutely stunning. Old world modern and very chic. I did not want to leave. Hospitality of employees was very professional, inviting and very personable. Food was great for breakfast. Was the best night sleep my husband and I had on our whole trip. Ceiling fan in our room was extra special since we live with ceiling fans in our home. Bath products awesome also. Highly recommend for a quiet luxurious stay in the middle of Chania.

Incredible boutique hotel in the heart of the Chania. The service and breakfast was excellent.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel, with great history, perfect location beautiful rooms, the staff is friendly, helpful and the service is second to none. The breakfast was also delicious. This was a perfect place to stay, I only wish for longer. I highly recommend staying here. Parking is a challenge, but that would be for anyone staying anywhere in the old town

Chic and gloriously relaxing

This is an incredible hotel, chic, minimal and true to the traditional Cretan style influenced by the Venetians. The welcoming traditional treats were a special touch and the staff was very friendly and gracious to accommodate. My only regret was not being able to stay longer.
