It was a beautiful resort very well maintained

This is a beautiful resort set in the hills outside Ubud. As well as the spectacular location, there is a lovely spa, great restaurant but above all the staff were some of the kindest and most friendly I have ever encountered.

Amazing place, staff was the best

The property is absolutely gorgeous as is the location. The service was a cut above most anything I’ve experienced. I would say the only complaint is the gym only had 1 working cardio machine and it’s good 20 minute ride to downtown Ubud. Other than that I would for sure stay there again

Wonderful jungle magic

Great family holiday - large room - pools - friendly staff made the difference - you wint believe the face stone carvings on path down to the river canyon … wowsers

Exceptional Hotel

Exceptional hotel. The staff were incredible and went out of their way to ensure everything was amazing for us. The villa as clean, spacious, quiet and private. I think the highlight for us was the food in the restaurant - every meal was divine. We’ll be staying here again.

Amazing location

What a wonderful and pleasant experience at Ayung Resort! We were "wowed" with the beauty and overall atmosphere as our room was tucked into the jungle with very little obstruction or nearby visitors. It felt like we were alone in the jungle. Beatiful afternoon rainstorms while we swam in our private pool. Clean rooms ornately decorated in Balinese traditional style with great water pressure and many windows for your perfect view. The restaurant was AMAZING! We asked for the honeymoon special for dinner one night and we couldnt believe the level of attention and detail put into our experience. From a private dining area with romantic lighting and a personalized menu for my wife and I, to a 6 course meal straight out of a 5 star restaurant with beautiful presentation, exceptional service and a delicious flavor! We couldnt have enjoyed our stay more or been more spoiled by the service, the staff and the beauty of Ayung Resort.

The hotel offers an exceptional experience with its stunning surroundings, remarkable staff, and thoughtfully curated environment enriched with captivating art. I am eager to return for another memorable stay.

Wonderful service and experience.

A really good stay, just needs a bit of atmosphere

Definitely should be experienced and considered for a very quiet stay in Ubud. Would have liked more of an atmosphere and things to do in the evening such as a designated bar with an atmosphere. Resort is a little dated and areas under-utilised, but undoubtedly a really nice team of staff, great forest/nature experience

Perhaps the best resort we've stayed at. Extremely hospitable staff. Their restaurant is amazing with great food (& Bali Coffee), service and views of the mountains. Special mention for the restaurant for prepping a breakfast box for me at 2am before the Mt Batur hike. On site spa was incredible and the overall setup of the resort is calm and serene. Highly recommend this resort!

SPA experience is very good..therapists are knowledgeable about their service.. Staff in all departments are very attentive to their services..especially buggy services are too good and timely.

Beautiful service and gorgeous food.

This hotel has a beautiful location if you prefer to stay remote from busy areas. It was very peaceful, nice view from my room.

A lovely hotel in a peaceful location about 30 mins outside of central Ubud, overlooking the rainforest. Stayed in the premier room with pool and rainforest view. The staff were incredible - really friendly and welcoming. The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent. Highly recommended.

Property was nice . But if you don't like being outside next to the monkeys this place may not be for you

From the moment we arrived, we felt truly special! Being upgraded to a better suite for our 38th anniversary was beyond generous, and the views were absolutely AMAZING. This retreat was the perfect blend of art, nature, and peaceful reflection. Every day started with a breathtaking sunrise at breakfast and ended with the most beautiful, jaw-dropping sunset at dinner. We even experienced a small earthquake and were treated to a delightful visit from a family of monkeys! The staff were incredibly attentive to all our needs, making the experience even more memorable. The local walk through the rice fields was definitely a highlight — a magical moment we’ll never forget. We’re so thankful for this incredible getaway!

This place was just a dream!!! I didn’t want to leave.

The area was stunning, and the staff were helpful and friendly. We came for our honeymoon stayed for 4 nights, wish we had stayed longer. It’s about 40 minutes to ubud (depending on traffic), but there is a shuttle twice a day from the hotel or grabs are easy to get.

A great stay. Will stay here again

Staff was very good. Food in the restaurant was amazing. But the resort is very far. Wrong description in the property. It say it’s 15 minutes to Ubud center. It used to take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour & 1/2 to get to Ubud market or center where they have all the restaurants. Very inconvenient.

Beautiful Hotel in an amazing location. Staff always courteous and nothing was too much trouble. The scenery is spectacular and the restaurant serves a wide selection of tasty food which is very well presented. Great resort in nature

The resort is a bit away from village, as a city man, was a bit worried, but after staying, I feel like the most relaxing holiday that I have never had. Very great nature, nice breakfast view, superb dinner with Bali dance. Just the room was a bit smelly because of humidity, may be not bad to have dehumidifier in the room. Anyway, good place to stay.

Amazing food, all meals and tea time. Not a lot to do but if you are wanting peace from the chaos, perfect place to go! Some of the best food at the restaurant and the staff at the restaurant were beyond fantastic!

Incredibly distressing and inhumane experience Ayung is not a 5-star hotel, and its location is really far from anywhere. The rooms were of very poor quality, and the customer service was terrible.

Had a great trip

Lovely grounds, Restaurant served delicious food. Spa was AMAZING! I loved having my pedicure done while watching the monkeys in the jungle right outside the window!

Amazing jungle hotel

Very nice resort and clean, the staff are lovely and helpful

The staff was great at Ayung Resort Ubud. We have been all around the world and we have never been treated better. The staff made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in to the moment we left.

I loved the privacy of this property and loved every staff. Loved our stay. The only minor complaint was that all the towels smelled moldy and sour, like old dirty laundry. If that can be fixed, then no issues at all.

Great place to stay

The hotel is in a most beautiful area and you are surrounded by nature. The staff could not be faulted on the whole and were exceptional. It is hilly with lots of steps so would not suit anyone with mobility issues. We loved the restaurant and the views at dinner and breakfast were amazing. Our only criticism would be that it is dated in parts. The room needed more plug sockets. The dressing table only had one so could not have hair dryer and lamp plugged in at same time. The hairdryer was old and little heat. They did replace it when I asked but I did not like them questioning why I had a problem with it. However the surroundings made up for the dated areas.

우붓을 자연을 제대로 느끼고 싶다면 강추합니다. 모든 직원들이 프로페셔널하고 교육이 잘 되어 있다는 느낌을 받았어요. 요구사항을 최대한 들어주려고 노력하고 항상 웃는 얼굴로 친절하게 응대해줘서 좋았습니다. 가장 기억에 남는 건 아침식사에요. 이것만으로도 이 호텔에 갈 이유가 충분합니다. 식당에서 바라보는 우붓의 자연만으로도 힐링이 되고, 아침 식사의 맛, 재료의 신선도, 요리의 수준이 너무 훌륭합니다. 우붓 시내에서도 이 정도 수준의 식당은 많지 않은 것 같아요. 저녁 식사도 한번 했는데, 너무 좋았어요. 도착한 다음날 너무 피곤해서 스파에서 마사지를 받았는데, 가격은 외부에서 받는 것 보다 좀 비쌌지만 그 가격만큼의 가치를 합니다. 마시지사의 숙련 정도, 시설, 서비스가 더 좋았고, 태국이나 발리 다른 지역에서 받은 마사지와 비교해봐도 손에 꼽을 정도였어요. 단점은 일단 우붓 시내와 멀고 교통 체증이 있는 시간에는 각오를 해야 합니다. 오전 10시와 오후 4시에 무료 셔틀이 있어서 시내에 나가는데 불편함이 없고, 그랩도 잘 잡혀요. 하지만 교통 체증으로 인해 호텔로 돌아오는 셔틀이 40분이나 늦어졌어요.... 이 부분은 이 호텔뿐만 아니라 교통 체증이 심한 발리 전반의 문제이기도 합니다. 다른 단점은 호텔 내부가 많이 습했어요. 제가 간 기간에 비가 많이 오락가락 해서 이기도 하지만 숲이 많고, 호텔 구조도 영향이 있는 것 같습니다. 2일을 지내고 너무 습하다고 얘기를 했더니 제습기를 가져다 줘서 좀 나아지기는 했는데, 트렁크에 있는 옷들에서 습기가 느껴질 만큼 습했어요. 그러나 이러한 단점에도 불구하고 그것들을 상쇄시키는 장점들이 너무나 훌륭해서 추천하고 싶은 호텔입니다.

We really love the breakfast and food in the restaurant in the hotel. We had lunch and dinner there too! Top class cooking! The staffs are very nice. The view at the pool is excellent. One down side is the bedding and the room have a damp smell which needs to be improved.

Amazing except for the smell of sweat

Amazing staff, wide grounds, magnificent view. Plumbing could use a bit of maintenance. All was good except that the bedding smelt of stale sweat, which was off putting.

A beautiful oasis in the rainforest, the beating heart of this hotel are the wonderful staff. A little out of town but we found that to be a plus. Would highly recommend.

What an amazing hotel. The staff were amazing, the resort was amazing, the food... amazing! I honestly would and have already recommend this hotel.

I can’t say enough great things about this resort, the property was so tranquil, relaxing and beautiful. The staff were exemplary. From our first greetings at the front desk, to the gentleman who brought and welcomed us to our room, to the lovely restaurant staff. I can’t say enough about this resort. My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights and then made our way to Nusa Dua. We felt disappointed in Nusa Dua, because nothing could compare to our experience at the Ayung Resort. There is evident pride in the work these employees do at this resort. While the resort is isolated, coming from the business of Ubud Center, this resort was a tranquil oasis. Thank you everyone at Ayung Resort for making our stay so relaxing and memorable!

Ayung resort was beautiful secluded resort with stunning views. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Staff were so helpful and friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. The restaurant on the property was excellent. They were very friendly and the food was exceptional. The only suggestion I have is they need a little bodega on the property for snacks and essential items guests may have forgotten. We loved staying there and will be back! Thank you for making our first trip to Bali memorable.

The property had breataking views. The staff were always friendly and willing to help. The restaurant with the breakfast was really good. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location is peaceful however it is the staff who are courteous and attentive that make the stay at this hotel so memorable.

Amazing resort located I the middle of the forest. Kind, attentive staff offering great service, and the room was massive!

Property was gorgeous and centrally located to all the sites we chose to visit. The staff were all incredibly attentive to our every need. The restaurant was 5 star.

Paradise retreat after busier areas of Bali. It feels like a grand hotel of old with Incredible views, amazing staff - in particular ‘Goose’ provided our table with an absolutely 5 star dinner service. Good selection of food and wine. Spa service was terrific. A real highlight for us was doing the bicycle tour organized by the hotel with the wonderful Resa through the historical town and nearby rice fields. Such an authentic adventure. A very special place! Amazing value.

Old building and luxury resort in a belly of Mt.

This resort is quite luxury and old building. Service is fine, but inconvenient, because whenever we go to reception or restaurant, we have to call car for pick-up. Big problem is at towels which smell sweat of other people on all the towels. I think they have to change the towel cleaning company into better one. I pointed this matter to the cleaner, but all the towels are the same. Breakfast is not buffe, but ordering individual items.

We stayed in Bali for 2 weeks and Ayung Resort was hands down the best from the 5 accomodations we had from Kuta, Ubud to Kintamani! We stayed at their Jungle Villa with mesmerizing views of the mountain, tranquil sounds of the river and singing birds, amazing landscaping, excellent food and afternoon tea at their restaurant Wijaya Kasuma , breathtaking pool, great Spa service - we had 2 therapies and the reflexology really detoxed my swelling leg from salt build up- And the best staff, beautuful smiley faces and courteous demeanor, fast and attentive! We had a real great time at the resort! Thank you Ayung Resort!

We had an amazing stay at Ayung resort. We were mesmerized by the forest view, the sound of the river and birds and landscaping are tranquil to the soul. We always enjoyed the food at Wijaya kusuma restaurant... healthy menu selections, fresh and delicious food, enticing presentations and great service. The view from restaurant is breathtaking as well. Love the availavility of rides to/from room to anywhere within the property. Great spa service, we had massage twice ... the reflexology really gave my body detoxification as the swellung on my legs disappeared after.... the massage pressure on my toes, I think, squeezed out the salt from my lower leg. Great resort to pamper yourselves. Btw, excellent breakfast selection that came with the accomodation. And the afternoon tea with yummy mini treats were awesome. The jungle view room we stayed in was very nice... came with very very nice backyard with gazebo. Lastly, staff were all very courteous and attentive! Would want to come back here!

Very quiet and a lot of tall trees. We can walk around for exercise. Good size pool and clean. Daily trip to Ubud town is very good but should make it shorter like 4 hours instead of almost 8 hours.

Outstanding stay. Positives are outstanding service - restaurant staff were just outstanding. Friendly - remembered their customers liked, the room was brilliant, comfortable clean and quiet, Negatives - the exterior could do with some work - missing tiles in the pool, and lots of moss could do with water blasting away. We had an issue with power blackout in our room 2 days in a row - it was well dealt with and recompensed well. Totally recommend this to anyone.

Perfect stay!

My second stay and everything was perfect! Highly recommend this gorgeous resort.

Beautiful location with a relaxing atmosphere and great service staff. We stayed for 8 nights and used the free shuttle service to Ubud centre and other facilities such as the Spa, pool, gym and restaurant. On a couple of nights the restaurant had a Balinese dance performance. Food is great. There is Wi-Fi throughout the resort, good enough for streaming.

Great stuff and service!

One word to describe this property is majestic! From the drive to get there to arrival. Super exotic with sometimes monkeys on your wrap around porch. I staid at a private villa and let me tell you, I can truly say I’ve lived the life of luxury. Wow wow wow, a must go!!!

Absolutely enjoyed the food (breakfast, tea/snacks and dinner) - superb presentation, delicious local taste and amazing staff. Best place in Ubud if you want to unwind, relax/destress. Elegant tropical paradise

This resort was a dream! Set on the slopes of a canyon, covered in jungle vegetation, populated with birds, monkeys, etc. The setting could not have been more beautiful. But then the resort added their interesting architecture, works of art, and brilliant landscaping and made the setting even more amazing. My spacious room overlooked the infinity pool, and large electric vehicles whisked me up and down the valley slopes to the restaurant, lobby, spa, etc. Food was excellent and included delicious Indonesian cuisine choices, as well as more familiar menu options. I have some mobility problems, and staff went out of their way to ensure I could access everything comfortably.

Delightful!

Nestled in the jungle, this place will provide you with breathtaking views of Bali's natural elements. The resort is 1st class, the villas are exceptional and the service wraps up the experience in a delightful package. We stayed in 4 resorts in Bali and this one was by far our favourite. The travel to Ubud is not the most straightforward from this resort.

Excellent

The staff are excellent and very helpful , found it a bit frustrating for such a nice big villa not to have a couch or dining table. The only place to eat or relax in the room is on the bed.

Perfect getaway

You know how you get to place in an exotic place in the world and you have a bit of…. Oh it’s not quite as the pictures seem, well throw that opinion away here!! This place was bigger, more beautiful, and beyond even the pictures. If you have the funds the private villas are a life changing experience. We stayed for over a week and are so happy we found this gem. Don’t worry about anything as room service, friendly staff, and transportation options are available for every request! Just watch out for the monkeys if they want to swim in your pools!

Great setting, service and food

I have stayed in some really nice hotels in Indonesia, but Ayung Resort was special. The hotel is filled with art collected by the owner over decades. The buildings and rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The entire place overlooks a river and in the morning birds and monkeys (not the aggressive Monkey Forest kind) are in the trees. The spa is excellent and the restaurant is probably the best I've eaten at in Bali. One thing to factor in: the hotel is built along a steep incline. They will send golf carts to take you from one building to another, and they arrive almost instantly. If you prefer walking, it is a workout. That was welcome in my case, but might not be for others.

Beautiful hotel grounds, gorgeous views from the restaurant. Rooms are spacious, staff are friendly and eager to help. Noisy during the day near the pool, there is construction going on.

Wonderful experience at Ayung resort. Staff were amazing, facilities were great, food was wonderful. Can recommend to anyone hoping for a quiet secluded getaway.

The setting of the hotel in the forrest together with the exceptional service made our stay most enjoyable. Will certainly be going back again.

For a quiet get-away close to nature, Ayung Resort Ubud is a place to consider. Food was good and they had daily shuttle to the Ubud market where there are lots of shopping and dining options. Staff were friendly and courteous.

Ayung is a beautiful resort with beautiful staff & the dining very good. Its is very quiet & very safe. Walking around the resort to & from your accommodation to dining room or reception etc is exceptionally hilly & staff generally collect you with a golf buggy as quite strenuous. Not a criticism just worth baring in mind if not quite so able bodied. Gardens & surroudings however very beautiful & unusual. Accomodation very nice a little basic & onlly a small wardrobe for hanging clothes. Split aircon quite noisy & if your neighbour is not so considerate of others can be woken easily. Lovely view from balcony in king room over jungle & pool. Ayung quite remote & about 9.6km to Ubud which should take about 25mins but can take considerably longer due to traffic. There is only 1 shuttle bus there & back. The hotel will provide a taxi service 1 x way for 200 IDR.

Special support to climb the steep landscape was provided by chauffeured Golf Buggies, to and from rooms and restaurant, etc.

Stayed here for 2 nights while exploring Ubud area and loved it! It’s an incredible and beautiful property that is big enough to warrant electric golf carts to get around. They have a spa, full-service restaurant (delicious options for lunch and dinner; also offers a complimentary breakfast and tea/afternoon snack), art gallery, and daily activities (we tried complimentary morning yoga). The staff are so incredibly kind and helpful, can’t say enough. The room we had was spacious, and had a balcony that looked out at the pool (not too populated, so not too noisy in September). The pool was refreshing and clean and we could look out at the surrounding property. The property itself is very quiet and peaceful. It’s about a 20-30min drive from central Ubud so you’ll definitely need to coordinate if you’d like to explore and eat meals off site. They have a free shuttle to town, but it stops running at 4:30pm.

Now I know what Heaven might be like - forest ambiance, amazingly accommodating staff, comfort in every detail.
