Extremely outdated room! We just left for somewhere else!

Within walking distance of most of Osoyoos. Accepted our dog. Convenient to exercise her. No dining on premises but multiple options nearby. Room comfortable.

Older pet friendly Motel. Definitely dated and in need of an upgrade. Beds extremely uncomfortable but it made do for the one night we stayed. Would t go back

First time I’ve stayed there and will do so again. Located right across from Timmy’s - nuff said! Owners are extremely friendly and well mannered. It’s not a brand new hotel and there’s no pool but a lovely place to sit out front that’s private from all the traffic in front. You’ll like it here and you’ll enjoy your trip knowing it’s clean, safe and easy to get back to. Looking forward to next year!

Arrived early evening to find the office door locked - rang the doorbell six times with no response, had to phone the property for someone to come check us in. Parking is limited and very awkward/tight. Room was dirty overall - stained pillows, grime in all the corners and an appalling mess under the beds (fist-sized wads of hair, food, dirt, dust) which I noticed because the head of the bed was pulled 2’ away from the wall.

The room was clean and bed was pretty good. No ice, check in no earlier than 3 (women cleaning rooms said we could probably check in) and she wanted to be helpful , but gentlemen behind the counter said no earlier than 3. It did say 3 but it wasn’t busy and rooms already cleaned where we checked in. Grass wasn’t cut. Won’t stay there again

For the price it was what we expected. Budget friendly hotel.

I had just come in from a week at Avalon farm on Vancouver Island and was drawn to Avalon Inn on my way to Fernie. Darren shared that it was literally the first motel in Osoyoos in 1951. It has been renovated since then and a great stopping point for me. Walked down to the waterfront for supper.

Convenient location, spacious suite with well stocked kitchen - enjoyed the private balcony. Clean but definitely in need of upgrade.

The dishes, fry pan, etc were old and mismatched

Terrible reception staff. Firstly we booked in two rooms and they informed us we only get one room. Also asked if possible to get lower level due to health reasons which was denied. The final reason we will NEVER return here was when I went and told him our door wouldn’t close properly receptionist seemed to careless and wasn’t bothered. Reminded them and no one ever looked at the door. We had to jam it shut overnight.

Very good hotel. It was all there which required for our stay in Osoyoos.

The Avalon Inn was quite comfortable and quiet and convenient walking distance to the lake and downtown. However, it is right on the main road, so not very pleasant to sit outside.

Close to beach and restaurants

Very average as price reflects it. Only good thing is location. Beds were comfortable but don’t attempt to sleep on the pullout couch.

its got a free EV charger. We got our car charged overnight. AC unit work very well, the whole room cool very quickly.

This property is fairly convenient for a stay in Osoyoos. The rooms are small and outdated. The tv didn't work, we had a party of four and only 3 chairs in the kitchen. There was not an adequate A/C unit to cool the room. The room was stifling when we arrived and the whole experience was disappointing. And DO NOT lose your room key! There are actual keys, not a key card. We did not book ahead so availability was limited and this is high season.The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Word to the wise: Book your Osoyoos accomodation in advance and spend the money! Would not recommend and would not stay again.

Not overly crazy about the room

Staff was friendly and helpful but room a bit dated and bathroom was tiny. Couldn't get the TV/cable to work but wasn' too bothered so didn't ask for help. Location is great.

This property was ideal for me. I was able to have my dog with me, the airconditiong was great and it was wonderful to have a stove and fridge. I also enjoyed the shower and the bath. I would not describe the kitchen as well stocked in terms of cooking utensils, cutlery, pots and pans and serving dishes. I did not need these so no problem there but others might like to consider bringing a frying pan and a medium size pot, cutting board and kitchen knives. I did have ione or two problems such as forgetting my key and having to phone for someone to bring one to me after 11 o'clock pm. In every instance the staff were extremely helpful, kind and friendly and did not ake me feel like a nuisance. They were great. I also think they would have supplied additional kitchen equipment etc had I asked for it. I would stay there again. This time I stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the convenience of being dowtown and also close to Haynes Point Camping where my son and his family were.

It was a fine place for a night. Quiet, smelled clean, very comfy bed and convenient. We booked a pet friendly room months in advance but it must have also been the wheelchair accessible room since that’s the room we got. I feel a WC accessible room should be earmarked for WC users only especially since we booked it a long time ago. It was tidy but some points to improve on - replace broken toilet seat - especially because it is the WC accessible room #121 (safety and cleanliness), replace broken hangers for the shower curtain and launder the white shower curtain more regularly so it’s not stained yellow on the bottom. A more useable WC parking stall would be needed as well - the designated one would get boxed in if a car parked on either side of it. I would have suggested these in person but the office was closed when we checked out around 930am.

Great property in a great location

My cat and I had a wonderful little suite with kitchenette, everything was there that we required. The suite was clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Excellent choice of Hotel.

The booking and check in was great. Our room with a balcony was perfect. The beds were very comfortable. The floors could have been vacuumed better and the floor in the bathroom needed to be swept. We would stay here again!

Excellent location off the route we were travelling, handy to breakfasts nearby, beautiful area of BC. Very comfortable queen beds in the room. Private balcony with a different view at other door. Plenty of drawers for clothing if we were staying longer. More hangers would be nice. The heater was loud, but kept us warm. One key.

Clean and tidy and quiet.

The fridge was very small and did not have a freezer. The staff person immediately found a slightly larger one with a freezer and installed it for us, although it didn’t fit properly into the spot under the counter. The hotel was okay, but nothing to rave about. The guy behind the counter was helpful and responsive. Kudos to him!

A great place to stay and able to walk downtown fir coffee in the morning and sit by the lake.

Fantastic and cute little room with all the amenities one could need during a visit. Great central location. Would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Wish they didn’t charge all three rooms to my card before we arrived!

I cannot begin to describe how disappointed we were with this property. Stained sofa, stained bedding, brown towels, broken A/C, broken taps, used wet dish sponge, dirty floors, stained curtains, backing onto a trailer park, derelict building on site…broken squeaky tap. I actually cannot think of anything good to say.

Great place to stay. Was clean and quiet with AC. Smitty's was next door for breakfast. About 15 min walk from the beach and some cool restaurants. I would go there again

Dog friendly & convenient.

Friendly staff

Motel is conveniently downtown, close eating, shopping, the lake, the highway. The grounds were well maintained and clean. It felt safe to walk around. The bathroom appeared to have not been cleaned, just restocked which made us question the rest of the room. We mentioned this as well as the air conditioner not working to staff. It didnt seem too important.

It was close to everything, including the person we went to visit. Next door to Smitties and across the street from Tim Horton.

It’s an older motel but the room was super clean. It was very convenient for shopping, restaurants and the public beach. The front desk staff was helpful and polite. I would definitely recommend it for an affordable place to stay.

Basic but OK

Our room wasn’t clean at all especially the bed, I had to make it myself and mattress was covered in yellow stains. No cameras in the parking lot someone hit and run our vehicle as well

Kitchen was not equipped with plates and other essential cook wares.

Was close to restaurants and lake

The location is great and the price is right but the shower had a terrible noise when the water was on and there was a crack in it with a soft spot.

Found four bugs in our room.

I liked the location of the hotel being that it was within walking distance to main street shopping and restaurants. Overall the hotel was nice and clean but it was outdated and could use a refresh.

Rooms clean. Large and quiet.

Two things missing (not important ) but helpful . One more mirror in the room . There is just one on the bathroom and it will be easy for all occupants and one bath mat in order to avoid slipping.

Second time I’ve stayed there. Staff are friendly and the rooms are fair for what you pay for…

Excellent facility; super clean, everything worked properly, extremely friendly and helpful management. Also, the motel happens to be in the most beautiful town by far in Canada!

Unfortunately, there were people speaking right outside our room late at night. The room has dark brown towels (not a fan as no idea if clean or not!) and I killed 3 bugs that were crawling around in our room.

Looks like our room just went through a upgrade, nice job the washroom basin position outside of the washroom seemed odd but worked fine 😁

The only concern was the air conditioner was not working properly in our room. It would turn on and work for awhile and then kick out for the rest of the night.

It was great to park and walk in to our room. No stairs, elevators or walk ups. So convenient and appreciated with my elderly, mother.

The amazingly friendly staff and how easy it is to check in and out

everything was great other than bath tub drain was very slow to drain and had to wait for second usage. A very good great location no complaint, reasonably priced.

shower was not adjustable so you got a blast, it's too high up to adjust the flow. also water was not adjustable so it was always on full blast.
