I really like this property the VIP was pretty good I think I could have been a little bit better with free parking
Great hotel for anything downtown Halifax. Beds were comfortable. Parking garage was clostrophobic for my Nissan Pathfinder. Breakfast at the Cannery was good.
I have stayed at The Atlantica before and had no issues but this time around I found the bed uncomfortable so I got a pretty crappy sleep. Me and my friend were also very much looking forward to the hot tub but the water was luke warm at best and dirty.
Clean, comfortable and in a decent location. 30 minute walk to down town
nice hotel but lots of construction in area closing nesrby streets
Stayed here on a business trip. Decent hotel.
The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was everything I needed after having surgery.
Property was nice, good price, nice having the heated pool
Just returned from a wonderful stay at The Atlantica Hotel, Halifax – and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the smooth check-in to the cozy, well-appointed rooms, everything was just right. The staff were courteous and always ready to help with a smile. We especially enjoyed the beautiful view and convenient location close to downtown attractions. A big thanks to the team for making our stay so comfortable.
Great value, quality amenities, killer location
Pool room and pool were so nice and warm , was nice to be able to comfortably swim with our kids . Lots of places to sit pool side also The hotel was clean and very well kept , comfortable beds , well appointed rooms We had breakfast off the menu and it was fabulous, homemade hollandaise sauce was a real treat and surprise. Waffles were ok but not very warm little stale ish Only complaint was the parking , on arrival it wasn’t bad but in the evening the only spot I could find I had to push in my mirrors and come out the trunk of my suv ….. for 25 dollars extra was not happy about the lack of space . Perhaps they should reduce the pay per use parking when the hotel is full
This is a beautiful hotel…but we had a few issues first of all they need to do something to quiet the hotel room door when it closes it is incredibly loud and where we had the misfortune of having our room near the swimming pool on the second floor between the slamming doors and the screaming kids….do not get a room on the second floor…the underground parking is also not very good because they park you in like sardines not much room to move…the plus side was their restaurant was really good and it was a very clean hotel
I liked that the facility was well taken care of and the staff were pleasant and accommodating. The weekend I stayed was a children's "hockey tournament" so the hotel was anything but quiet - however, I did not let that deter me from enjoying my stay. Life happens :)
Really enjoyed my stay no complaints!!
Excellent customer service! Very clean and the restaurant food is exceptional. Highly recommend
Overall a decent stay! The parking situation is ridiculous. $25 per night and could never find a spot. They encouraged us to park on the street after we had already paid for four nights of parking. The concierge insisted on driving our vehicle into the lot to park it in a compact spot. Took at least fifteen minutes to get parked everytime we left the hotel. Wouldn’t come back here just based on the parking situation.
Clean. Friendly hotel and restaurant staff
Everything in the hotel itself was great and the staff was very helpful with any issues. The area around the hotel can get noisy at night, but that's not the hotel's fault in itself.
The parking situation wasn’t great. I paid for parking for 2 nights but had to find parking on the street late at night with two young kids because the parking lot was full. The staff did only change me for 1 night but this was a bit disappointing.
Too many uncontrolled kids.
Not great.
The food from the Cannery was amazing but hotel stay was sub par. Could hear people outside loudly after midnight and kids running down the hall at 7am. Tv did not work, was charged for parking when there were no spots and we had to park three blocks away.
A very beautiful hotel, friendly staff, clean and enjoyed the breakfast. Will definitely go back.
Very convenient, spacious, nice hotel. I stayed there for over a week and enjoyed the swimming pool & spa. The location is perfect to reach all tourist attractions by walking or a bus. While there is a hospital construction going on near by right now, it did not disturb me one bit. No noise during the weekends anyways. I'd love to return for another stay there one day. 👌😉
Will go there again. Excellent service.
I would stay here again
Busy and noisy streets. Plus, Construction going on outside our room at a Parkland building next to our room.
We were only there for a short term and didn't get to see they offered. Unstand the area restraints but did not enjoy the very undersized and poorly signed parking. Wl try again under better cricumstances and hope to enjoy more. The room was great and our sun loved the pool
Good I will give 5 star
Clean, Friendly & Reliable
This was my first time staying at the Atlantica, and I will be back! The property is well maintained, and the staff are friendly, and quickly answered my questions or concerns. When I returned from an event on a Friday evening, the parking garage was full, and the front desk found me a space regardless. I had called for extra towels which did not come, but that's a minor issue. I received a free room upgrade at check in, which was a very nice surprise.
Super comfy beds and pillows.. we had the best sleep! Pool and hot tub were great also.
All war well
Walls were paper thin, sleeping was difficult
Stuff was very friendly
Great hotel
The smell of the sampoo, conditioner and body wash had a strong wood smell. I found it wasn't very nice to the nose. (Smell bad)
Great stay with 3 adults and 3 kids. Clean/spacious rooms, comfortable beds, very nice and large pool (with plenty of towels!), hot tub, gym, great restaurant, convenient parking and amazing staff. Truly nothing to complain about. Will stay here again.
Bed very uncomfy asked for it to be fixed along with outlets that didnt work and tv. nothing fixed over 4 days I was there
Smell of "weed" was disappointing.
Good location. Unfortunately, there is a lot of construction at this time, opposite the hotel, which meant being woken up very early on a week day morning. On our arrival, we found our whole floor smelled of "weed", which was even in our room. After speaking with staff, who couldn't help but agree that there was a smell, we were moved to another floor. The hotel claimed it was coming from the underground parking lot through the ventilation shafts. They said people were not allowed to smoke within the hotel premises, but that they couldn't patrol people in their cars. However, I felt that the smell was coming from a room on the 12th floor, where there was a room near the elevator, which, when opened had a strong smell of weed in it. Not sure about the smoking rules in this hotel, but we were assured that all rooms had smoking detectors? This was disappointing to say the least. The staff were friendly.
A1
Great accommodation clean
Great clean place to stay
😃
Good location close to Dal university
Was excellent stay as always
Check in was fast and staff were very nice . Very nice hotel with nice rooms and clean . The restaurant in the hotel was really good and very friendly staff. I would definitely stay again .
like the central location and the spacious room. Clean and modern. Staff was very helpful with anything that came up (coffee maker was missing a part and was fully replaced).
Disappointed
We went specifically here because it had a pool for my daughter to swim. The pool was filthy. Leaves (indoors), multiple bandaids and a disgusting glob of goo that had pieced off everywhere throughout the pool. We thought that maybe it was because it was later in the day so we tried again first thing in the morning and it was absolutely filthy like they haven’t cleaned it. There were gross things all around the pool, likely because the guests were scooping things out. Later that night the staff were supposed to drop something to our room and never showed. The charger plugs also didn’t work. There was sand like crumbs in one of the beds. Usually I’m not one to complain but it was upsetting.
Every thing
Had trouble with tv in the room, wifi would not stay connected and the ac unit was unplugged so the room was very warm
We love the Atlantica! Staff is very professional. It is close to a grocery store, a liquor store, a cute cafe and the hotel restaurant is fantastic!
I really enjoyed this hotel, it was greatly priced for the location. We had a high floor and the view was great. The rooms are like newly renovated and they are absolutely gorgeous.
The hotel was okay. Comfortable enough. Clean enough. Nothing outstanding.
🤗
Very nice rooms and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful
We had issues with heating and wind was blowing in with cold, air through the unit on wall beneath window. We had to call, for maintenance
busy weekend at hotel staff was great
Location was great.Staff were excellent. Good price.

Staff was excellent, very kind and easy to work with.
Beautiful room. Great location!! Never disappointed.
Great experience
Loud and dirty
The room was dirty, coffee maker was dirty dust all over the headboard, room was very loud could hear the tv on from next door. Our tv the guide wouldn’t work
Bring ear plugs
Got one hour of sleep last night, loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed in then 7am hearing the jack hammers across the street non stop
Staff were helpful and place was clean
Was a great place to stay
Highly recommend
We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was beautiful, great view and food in restaurant was amazing.
Was in room 1510 and it was very very cold. Very bad draft from the windows could not stand by them cuz your feet would freeze had to have heat kn 30c the whole time
The check in guess host at the front desk
Under ground parking too snug
Staff was very nice and easy going helped out a lot, rooms were clean and very modern, amazing view of the city would stay again.
Nice
Very friendly staff ,safe area, very clean and quiet rooms.
The rooms were spacious, bed was comfortable and hotel was clean
Excellent restaurant. Great staff.
Staff are always so kind. Very clean
Great business hotel!
Great business hotel in Halifax, near the Citadelle and downtown.
Very close for me to get to my medical appointment
We really enjoyed our stay.
Always a good stay at th Atlantica
Directly across for city park with outdoor skating rink Many baseball diamonds if it was summer. Great location for any families with kids in sports
Room was very small and cold
Clean. Friendly staff. Nice rooms. Quiet.
Great stay
My shower was faulty. The shower handle was throwing the hot and cold all over the place. Felt like the threads were stripped. The water was luke warm. And the glass shower doors wouldn't stay closed due to unevenness....the doors are always freakishly heavy!
Nice staff
Nice stay.
Had a wonderful stay for my sons Bday! Very accommodating and the restaurant was delicious!
Room was nice, restaurant was excellent!
Beautiful, clean, spacious rooms.
Great spot
I was happy to come here with my family, i stayed here 6 years ago when I got my jaw surgery and loved it. Pool was a big hit for the kids, love that the parking is heated
Always love my stay there… only issues was the elevators were down. But things happen. Thats life. Not a make or break it deal
The service was good, staff were friendly and very helpful - overall great stay
Good location. The parking was not convenient. Not enough parking and had to park on the street for one of the four nights. Had to get parked early and leave the car put so we would lose our spot. Three elevators broken on the weekend. Had to share the service elevator with the staff. NOT GOOD. The hotel is nice but you need to get things together. Oh I forgot, I substituted my fries for mashed potatoes and got charged 7 dollars extra and 8 dollars for some carrots and brocoli so my fish and chips were 21.00 plus 15 dollars for mashed and veggies. I have eaten in all the best restaurants in the city and NEVER have been charged to substitute fries to potatoes - NEVER ! Spoke to two staff members and they didnt even come back to the table to explain let alone adjust the bill.
clean room and decently appointed, but very thin walls, a broken elevator, and no hot water in the shower. I have stayed here before and have always had a good experience. We only stayed one night so reported the water issue on the way out so hopefully they can service it before the next gusts arrive.
Parking isnt great for bigger vehicles.
Great hotel central
The experience was so good
