Great central location

Unbeatable central location, some of the staff were amazing, others a bit rude, but overall a pleasant stay

Nice 4 star hotel near the Udine city center. Great staff, rooms are clean and comfortable. It's old and a bit rough on the edges, but that comes with the age and gives it its charm :)

Lovely hotel in the center of Udine.

The hotel was lovely and we had a view of the piazza. The location was great as we could walk around the town. They do have parking which was behind the hotel and across the street and very secure for 18 euros a day. A lot of the front desk staff spoke English and were very helpful. We were able to have a king size bed which they call a matrimonio bed. Lovely hard wood floors in the rooms. It was very reasonable. Breakfast was 12 euros per day per person and included a full buffet. Comfortable and old world charm.

Property is centrally located in Udine. Walkable to most of the restaurants. Also walkable to the train station. About 12 min walk.

Rather dated hotel. Our room had a musty odor and had to open window to air it out. A/C was not working and the room was very warm. Had to turn system off and open our window. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Very nice hotel in the center of Udine!

The Place to stay in Udine!

I stayed here for about one week in April 2019 and did not find one negative thing to say about the hotel. Location, cleanliness, design, room size, welcome and food were all top class and fully surpassed my expectations. Not sure if I will ever stay elsewhere!

Nice spot

We enjoyed the stay in this hotel and how easy access we had to main spots in town. Breakfast was nothing special - exactly the same restricted menu every day.

Great location, old but nice hotel

Our stay was perfect- after arriving they helped us park our car in the garage around the block and get settled. The front desk recommended a fantastic restaurant a 4 minute walk away. Perfect location right in the old town. The hotel is old but clean and nice. Everyone was friendly and the breakfast was a nice spread. The wifi went in and out but it otherwise served our needs perfectly. Would definitely stay again.

Two nights at the Astoria Hotel in Udine.

Surprisingly good breakfast for such a small hotel. No gym or fitness center, but ask how to get to a nearby park where jogging is no problem. That park had a very nice flea market going on the Sunday that I was there.

Classic city hotel on a square: farmers' market

Classic excellently-maintained city hotel in the city center. New elevators work well. Rooms vary, from small singles facing the square to larger ones facing the interior courtyard. (I prefer quiet facing the courtyard.) Some are grand and modern, others smaller with traditional furnishings. Bathrooms, regardless of size, gleam with stone and faultless plumbing, thick towels, etc. Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Breakfast is a generous buffet, but the room is a little cramped, and tables are quite small. A special delight is the orange juice machine: you pick you oranges, cut them; and squeeze the juice yourself. Dinner in the restaurant is altogether a more gracious affair. Food is unadventurous Italian but competent. Service is polite and correct. Prices are reasonable for what is offered. The green apples (available for the taking 24 hours a day) are tasteless and terrible. Since this part of Italy grows fabulous apples, I hope they improve them (I did suggest it to the manager). I have stayed at this hotel twice now, and would be pleased to stay again. Parking in the garage isn't cheap; better to park in the neighborhood overnight, then either leave early or feed the parking meter machines an hour or two for a more relaxed departure..

Perfect location!

You can't get more centrally located than the Astoria! It may be past its days of glory, but the Astoria is a great place to stay when in Udine. Anneliese at the front desk is one of those rare finds that will make any guest feel at home and make sure that all of their requests get priority attention. From making restaurant reservations to making sure your room is perfect, she is a gem. The hotel itself could use a makeover, but what the heck.....it still is beautiful! I will continue to stay there every trip I make to Udine.

very outdated place but friendly staff

- nasty smell in room (aircondition and carpet), - nasty smell after cigarette sometimes crawling into room from corridor, - no key cards/safety locks, - slow wifi, - no glass wall/curtain in shower (so all your stuff gets soaked), - room safe way too small, - no complimentary drinking water, - car parking not included; + friendly and helpful staff at reception, + easy checkout (prepaid)

Had a great room this trip. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Staff extremely helpful and courteous.

Nice hotel, good location

Nothing in particular made this hotel stand out for us, but it was nice and well kept. Staff was helpful and friendly. Parking was across the street for a fee (15 euro per day I think). Room was clean with tile floor throughout. Breakfast is very good.

Centrally located hotel in Udine

It is one of the old style hotels with high cealings grand staircase etc. Staff friendly and helpful. Centrally located with easy access to all the sights in Udine. Breakfast is average.

The location was right in the old part of the city. The room was only a 3 star room. The hotel seemed to be oriented towards business and meetings.

An aging Grand Hotel reinvents itself as a business-class hotel. It was not spectacular, but for the price, it was clean, comfortable and the front deal was very helpful.

Sehr gute Lage, Renovierungsbedürftig, Teppich in Gang schaut nicht gut aus und riechen nicht gut. In Zimmer Klimaanlage sehr laut und hat gerochen nach Ammoniak, Lärm und darum könnte nicht mehr halten und ein Tag früher weg gefahren

Hotel con potenziale: posizione centrale, camera pulita ma che ha bisogno di un reatauro: porta del bagno con la maniglia che si staccava. Nel complesso sufficiente ma non tornerei.

Die Türen vom Eingang und Bad des Zimmers klemmten. Eingangstür war nicht absperrbar. Abluft im Bad/WC schlecht. Das Doppelbett bestand aus 2 Einzelbetten! Gut: schönes Zimmer, ruhig! Bad (bis auf Abzug) auch schön. Bidet hervorragend! Sehr nettes Personal! Frühstück auch sehr gut! Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen!

zentral gelegen, freundliches Personal Der Frühstücksservice war verbeserungswürdig, die Getränke wurden schnell serviert, aber die Speisen wurden erst nach mehrfacher Aufforderung aufgefüllt.

Ottimo hotel storico nel pieno centro di Udine. Camere curate ed abbastanza confortevoli. Ventilazione un po' rumorosa. Servizio impeccabile. Dispone di garage coperto (a pagamento) nelle immediate vicinanze.

Comfort nella tradizione friulana!

È la migliore soluzione alberghiera nel centro storico di Udine. Per tradizione è eccellente per l’accoglienza, i servizi, la pulizia della camere, ottima e abbondante colazione dal dolce al salato. Per chi arriva in auto viene offerto il servizio garage (a pagamento).
