The property is generally clean but just that there's some unsightly brownish areas at the base of the bath tub. Food and service are good. Just a note for people with walking disability - the rooms are located along the slope, hence have to take note of this.

Bed was firm, not thick mattress but like tatami. Enjoyed private onsen, spacious room and location not too far from shopping street. Would recommend their Kaiseki dinner and breakfast.

Everything is perfect. Staff is very friendly and they can be communicate with English. Dinner and breakfast are awesome. Free shuttle bus from hotel to JR station is available. Need to make a reservation for the shuttle bus in advance. I will stay over there again, and should be more than a day.

We were staying in a superior room and we were very satisfied with the room, outdoor private hot spring, food and staff service. Definitely come back to stay again!!

Hanayoshi is a beautiful ryokan. A lot of thoughts has been put into to make sure guests are comfortable. We managed to get a room with private onsen. There is even a massage chair in the living room. Outdoor slippers are covered to make sure they don't get wet. Dont forget to try out the complimentary face mask & lotion in the bath. They worked wonders in Yufuin local weather.

We had a good stay in Asagirinomieru Yado. Over all and facility and room are very good and clean. But I was expecting more as I was paid that much money. I've been stayed in a few expensive accommodation in japan, normally you will tea or hot towel when you arrive for check-in, but we didn't get the service (next day I saw other people checking in do get the service). And the food disappointed me as well, both breakfast and dinner aren't that good. compared to the other cheaper ryokan I stay in this trip, the cheaper ryokan's food are much better than this. Apart from the arrival service and foods, the room and the onsen are good.

Complete relaxation

Located away from the main street and station, this beautiful ryokan is a perfect combination of modern and traditional Japanese styles which definitely brought us some blissful memories. The ryokan is slightly larger than we expected (almost got lost while finding our way back to the main building), yet our room is perfectly sized. The room has everything that we'd have dreamt of - comfortable beddings, enormous bathroom, outdoor onsen, massage chair and complete quietness throughout our stay. The only thing we would whine about is the lack-of-view in our room, as the whole balcony is blocked by fences after fences. Perhaps next time we should upgrade our room for the fantastic view others mentioned! The only downside of this ryokan experience would be the dining area. We shared the dining hall with 5 other families and obviously the screens did not block away sounds. While my husband and I tried to keep our conversation going, our dinner/breakfast were interrupted by the other diners' chit-chats and laughters. Well, I wonder if we can have the private room if we upgrade to a more premium room next time. Despite the experience we had at dining hall, overall the ryokan was clean and well-maintained, the servers were attentive and polite, and we had the most relaxing trip ever. We would still recommend this ryokan for everyone travelling to Yufuin.

Staff was very kind and helpful , however the heating

The hotel has an amazing view with excellent service. Staff are friendly and food is amazing. High recommend to anyone that want to have a relaxing hot spring experience in Yufuin.

I am not a person who enjoys writing a review in public. But I feel I have to write something for this hotel. We had really graet time in Hanayoshi. We were amazed by the magnificent view of the Yufu Mountain from the hotel lobby. Staff service was excellent, We never experienced that before. One of the staff, Ms. Yurica Tomita made our trip unforgettable, wishing her be well. We wish go back to Hanayoshi in the near future. We are strongly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is well-decorated and comfortable. The Onsen is excellent. The Japanese dinner was very well presented and delicious. Room is spacious. The massage chair in room is really a surprise. It's very nice to sit on there after the Onsen bath. Service is good too. Nothing to criticise. Perfect stay.

With high expectation after reading the reviews

I have high expectation to enjoy the services and the environment of the hotel after reading all the reviews. To my disappointment, the room has more than ten caterpillars coming out from the tatami and the staff has not been helpful and stated that is normal. My kids get scared off and we did not have a good stay.

Very nice onsen hotel with private outdoor hot spring in our room. Staff were very friendly and helpful and extra charge for children (but quite reasonable). Nice view of the valley from the reception lounge.

第一次同朋友去由布院玩及入住花由日式旅館，可以預約免費來回shuffle bus,員工服務態度非常好，晚餐都好好味，早餐就相對簡單，都食得飽，最贊有私人溫泉，唔使同人迫。下次再會入住花由日式旅館。

子ども連れでしたが、部屋が離れだったため周囲にご迷惑をおかけする心配もなく快適に過ごせました。他にも小さいお子さんと泊まっている方、若いカップルの方、ご夫婦の方などがいらっしゃりさまざまな用途で利用できる宿だと感じました。また湯布院に伺う際には利用させていただきます。

源泉かけ流しでないのが残念

マッサージチェアを含む部屋の設備は申し分ない。チェックインから部屋への案内も完璧。部屋風呂も大浴場も快適、後者の眺望は最高。しかし由布院なのに循環、塩素臭くないのは救いだが。食事も、酒の種類や値付けも問題なしなのに、勿体無い。

全体的にスタッフの皆さまが笑顔で対応が良かったです。 子ども(小学校3年生)と乳児を連れて宿泊しましたが、室内の露天風呂も温度を調整していただいていたり、食事処では専用の椅子も事前に準備していただいたりしました。 ありがとうございました✨✨

由布岳を眺望できるロケーションは抜群です。 お部屋も快適ですし、露天風呂では体の芯からあたためることができます。 海外からの宿泊客も多く来られていますので、そうした雰囲気も楽しみたい方には大変おすすめです。

服務及設施均很好，只是床有點矮，長者起身有點困難。接待處及歺廳員工服務態度均非常好，溫泉很乾淨舒適。

來入住這個飯店跟價格有相對的期望。一個晚上兩萬，硬體設備很新、很棒，但看得出來內裝沒有很精緻。 所獲得的不成正比。 晚餐根本不是官網照片那樣精緻擺盤，感覺很隨意，和牛也像是剛解凍，湯裡面的豆腐也碎掉。 服務人員都很親切

酒店的一樓大廳和二樓餐廳，向着油布丸市的山景色，實在太美麗了！酒店免費借和式睡衣供每位客人自由穿上。房間都是獨立屋形式，空間十分大，還有私人溫泉浴池，足不出戶在房間或在酒店四處走走，已十分享受啊！當然，一泊兩食，自駕遊會方便些，地點遠離由布丸站和湯街有點點遠。酒店車可接客人到來，入住前收到email 確定入住人數和接載，而且，款待我們的是中國年青女子，她有禮貌地介紹酒店各處和細心照顧，十分讚賞！

幾好一個獨立屋,有花園私人風吕,設備好,有按摩椅,空間好大,但這間要預約車去車站,不會主動去看,打電話十分鐘就到,生日去不會有紅豆飯或煮鯛魚頭送,無回饋,不夠貼心.

整體感覺很好，除了以下兩點，check-in的時間久了一點。雖然等待時候服務也很好，準備好飲料熱毛巾。接著就是客房有新有舊的。我們訂了兩種房型，貴一點的那間居然是舊一點的，只是大一點點而已，但是所有設施比另外一間舊，地暖也只是一部分地方有。

管家非常親切、晚餐時段因為臨桌的香港客人稍微吵、隔天早餐就調整個別室給我們、貼心服務連細節都有注重到、給我們留下愉快難忘的回憶、會推薦親友住宿！

I was disappointed during my stay at Yufuin Hanayoshi on Mar 4th. The main reason is that the lights on the terrace and the lights in the living room could not be turned on in room 503. I almost fell due to the lack of lights in the terrace and couldn’t enjoy the outdoor hot spring because it was too dark. I was unable to take any pictures without any lights outside. I purposely booked this room for the anniversary with my boyfriend and spent slightly more for this room type because of my special day. I’m a return customer since I had a good time in this hotel back to Feb 2016. I love this hotel very much so I decided to spend my special day here. Finally I disappointed. Besides these issues. Everything were up to standard. Food was good. Nice view. Spacious room. Good services.
