Pathetic customer service

Service was absolutely pathetic, worse I've ever encountered. On my arrival the TV did not work in my room. No phone in the room to contact reception. Rang reception 4 x times from mb with no response. Hour later rang again and advised TV does not work. Receptionist came up to room, couldn't get TV to work and advised me there was nothing that could be done and will need to stay in room with no TV Asked to swap rooms and was advised all available rooms are still dirty and cleaners will clean following day! Asked for the duty/manager but he refused to speak to me. However he was liaising with receptionist. Will never stay here again!!!

The room was a good size

Room stunk of cigarettes the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest and the water pressure was none existent Location close to darling harbour but for price def not worth it

The internet was incredibly slow. If you put three people in a studio, expect the cot for the third person to be uncomfortable. It was like sleeping in a hammock.

Upgrade

I arrived early and my room was not yet available. When I came back to check in my room was still being cleaned and was requested to wait another 15 mins. As a compliment for the wait, I was upgraded and was much appreciated. Room was very spacious and clean. Had a balcony . I can definitely come back here.

Convenient

Great location in the city. Lots of food options close by, especially in China town (2 mins walk). Quiet and clean room.

Nice people

This place was great for the price you pay and the location. Roughly it was 2.5 times the cost of a bed in a hostel and you get a large room with a balcony, air conditioning and bathroom. There was even a washer dryer down the hall so I could do my laundry. It’s definitely not the Ritz, but it was worth every penny that I spent.

Central and close to everything suited my needs

Extended our stay and asked to keep same apartment which was done in an instant.

Only complaint is that the air conditioner made a terrible noise, couldn’t sleep, otherwise is was an excellent location, very clean.

Booked a split room. Not a split room. Dirty room didn’t bother seeing reception as he was too busy on his phone. Or picking up food. Blanket was dirty. No housekeeping done.

The staff are amazing and are the cherry on top to this already great hotel.

Overall good. Property is aging a bit but otherwise fine.

Great location close to everything

Great location! Easy walking to restaurants, entertainment, theatre. Staff are really friendly. We stayed in a deluxe executive studio apartment. Really clean and spacious. Only down fall is NO hot water during our entire stay. If you have a third person sleeping on the sofa its terrible! Mattress is so thin that you sink in the middle and can’t move. Need a decent mattress. No blankets,extra pillows or tea towel in room. Apart from that we had a great time but be aware of those issue before booking so your not disappointed.

Everything was fine except the mattress on the bed was thin and hard and older, should be updated. The couch sagged quite badly and I had to prop it up with a pillow underneath the cushion to keep it from sagging so much. Otherwise I would have rated the property as excellent as most of it was just fine. The room was quiet, clean and everything worked. They stored my luggage as my room was not ready when I arrived early, but I had no issues checking in when I returned at the appointed time. The fact that front desk is not manned 24 hours could be a bit of a problem, I had no issues so didn’t have to try to call anyone for anything.

No hot water

The hot water didn’t work so I had to empty out the kitchen bin and boil a kettle to wash myself in the shower. Still no response from them.

Like the location and accommodation met our needs.

Walkable

After booking I had read a lot of bad reviews about the place but that wasn’t my experience at all. The young gentleman at reception made check in and parking a breeze. His English wasn’t great but we figured it all out and with a smile. The room, number 33, was spacious and immaculately clean, clean bathroom, clean towels, clean linen, decent king size bed. Outside noise wasn’t an issue. The hot water took a few minutes to kick in but once it did it was good and had good pressure. Basement car parking seemed very secure, only problem is that it’s very tight going up and down the ramps. I’ve got an Outback and I wouldn’t want to drive anything bigger than that down there. Overall I was stoked with the place and in terms of value for money in that location it’d be hard to beat.

Great location. Very large room with balcony. We reserved a king bed room but only got a queen bed. And the pillows were giant sized. Had a sore neck on the morning…

The air con was not working, so we froze the entire night, despite there being an air conditioner and also have not been refunded the $200 bond payment that they sprung on us on the day of check in.

I wouldn’t stay more than one night in this place. It was clean and comfortable enough but make sure you bring ear plugs with you as it’s very noisy. Outside the front door hotel entry was piles of garbage, not exactly inviting. The area is fine plenty to do and food options around, but if something better and cheaper comes up choose the other option. This place would only be good if you were going out on a weekend night and needed somewhere to stay close to your venue.

No hot water

The hot water didn’t work. When I informed tye concierge he said that it sometimes takes 10 mins to come through. As if I should expect this. Ended up having a cold shower in a $400/night room

Comfy and plenty of space do you want me to do

Nice and clean, well insulated from noise Ac was cold and clean Tea and coffee fridge ironing board. Mattress was ok could feel springs otherwise was a good nights sleep

Trying to reach the hotel staff via phone was almosy impossible, the language barrier made thing extremely difficult. There was no communication regarding the value of the holding deposit so i was shocked to see what it was

This apartment hotel is very spacious and is close enough to public transport. Dining options are ample. The only thing I do not like is they take $200 deposit, no option for paying that in cash and it takes a long time for the deposit to be returned. If you like an area where there is a lot happening, things and people to observe, plenty of food choices then this place is perfect. The area is not quiet as such but the room is. I had a great restful stay with a full stomach.

Very last minute booking and they couldnt have been more helpful. Room was very clean, spacious and situated right in the centre of town so everything was within walking distance.Grdat place, reasonable rates and security deposit returned withi. 48 hours of departure.

The pictures look way better than reality and though the T&C said there will be daily room servicing, they only came once out of the 3 days they should have.

Great just a little noisy before 11pm but after that was fine

Room had a musty smell everytime you walked. Not ideal getting woken up early morning by maintenance personnel working in the corridor. I wasn’t aware that parking was additional cost of $50 a night.

Our first room had no hot water, when we called the desk they just said let it run for 5-10 minutes. Half our later still no hot water. We r Told the desk the next morning. We complained in person at the desk. We went out for our day. At 1 pm they expected me to drop what I was doing and come back to the motel because they were going to move us, obviously couldn’t fix the water! They were not happy when they had to wait for me to get back from my show I was attending. New room was next door, had hot water yay. But Not that great.

Biggest issue was no hot water! Despite the rest of the apartment being fine, the lack of hot water means I have to suggest avoiding this property. Check-in was fine, location is good, but not being able to have a hot shower is an immediate fail.

A bit disappointing

A bit disappointed, great location, good size room, but a bit tired and very lacking on room service. Paid extra for daily housekeeping, but there really wasn’t any, and on first day checking in, bathroom not particularly cleaning with a lot of hair from previous stays. One day towels were thrown on the bed and that was the extent of house keeping.

Great location, good size room and comfortable bed, tv service was a bit average and house keeping was non existent! Paid for daily house keeping, but should have gone for cheaper with limited as apart from one day it didn’t really happen. Maybe some clean towels thrown on the bed one day was classed as house keeping, this lets the property down! Also my room with no balcony faced a brick wall and didn’t get any sunshine and very little daylight. Rooms were good, but feeling a little tired, and bathroom had not been cleaned well and a lot of someone else hair everywhere

Tired and Worn Out

Poor check in process and support, hot water slow and intermittent, 3rd bed is basically sleeping on the steel frame, freezing cold and mould growing in the rooms

This hotel has an ongoing problem with hot water in rooms. WiFi was also a problem.

Accommodation was tired and in desperate need of an upgrade

A spacious, clean, well appointed modern apartment. Pity the shower was so small you couldn't turn around in it (no bath tub either). Staff were friendly and helpful.

It’s a run down hotel. Facilities good, but couldn’t use aircon, covered in mould and dust. Bed very uncomfortable and not enough pillows. We had 3 pillows between 2 people but I like to sleep on 2 pillows usually. But I made do with one. Good location, walking distance to everywhere. Staff very nice! Great customer service.

I am not sure why it is necessary these days to take a $200 deposit from you even when you have paid for the room. It takes between 5-7 business days to return the funds, which is just ludicrous these days. The room was spacious but could do with refurbishment.

We found it very friendly and clean place. The only problem was our hot water was not hot. I did a complaint online and problem was fixed with the day Another room was organised for us to move to and hot water was great x

Convenient, walk to anywhere around darling harbour. We stayed the weekend for VIVID. Got around to everything quite easily.

The only problem we had was the air-conditioner control in the room was not working.

No hot water for shower. Took 15 mins to get luke warm water and then for only about 1 minute. Reception staff took 15 minutes to come to front desk upon arrival. Difficult to understand. After departure received phone call saying I had not returned room key, which I definitely had. Eventually they found it where it was supposed to be. Limited facilities in room, eg no light over the bed. Had to go t front door to turn lights off and then stumble back to bed in the dark.

I stayed there for six nights, but the rooms were cleaned only once in 7 days. A staff requested $200 for deposit ($100 each room), he told me to refund the money after receiving the keys back. We left early morning and dropped the keys at the key box as advised. Nothing inside the room were damaged; still, I got $50.00 charged on my credit card after arriving in my country. Not recommend for any visitors.

Big space

Staff were friendly but its hard to get through via phone. Building is a little worn down but location is convenient. Worth what i paid 😌

The experience was very average. The only thing that bothered me was that they charged a $200 AUD security deposit to my card without notifying me in advance. It's okay to do this, but they should consult first. Also, they came to my room for inspections on two consecutive days to check the bed and bathroom. If they are going to do this, they could accomplish it in one visit. Since I was with my partner, they would knock on the door and open it immediately, not even giving us time to open it ourselves, so our privacy was not respected. I understand the need for these inspections, but please wait for the door to be opened as we could have been in an embarrassing situation. Additionally, I must say the quality of the mattresses is terrible; I could feel every spring and did not have a good rest. On the positive side, the location and cleanliness were good.

Stayed the one night for work. A bit tired, but then most rooms are. Room was spacious and comfortable. Good value for money, would stay there again.

The room was huge but a bit old and not well cleaned. We checked in on a Saturday and only had one small body wash supplied for 2 people for 3 days there is no housekeeping on Sunday and we put our towels on the floor on Monday but they were not replaced so we had to go to reception to get fresh towels. Tha staff were friendly and helpful

I will avoid in the future

I’ll avoid in future. Old and tired. While it was probably clean, it just felt unpleasant. At check in not only did they put a hold on my credit card, but also insisted on charging one cent to it. The hold is an authorisation and allowed them to charge $200 if necessary why they had to charge me an extra cent I have no idea. clueless is all I can say.

Rats & decaying rats in the basement, an overall smell in the building of uncleanliness, old stained carpets, stained mattress, no mattress covers, street workers in and out of the property, drug abuse in front of the building… I booked for three nights and left after one night only because I couldn’t find another hotel at that time. 3 guests did the same. No reimbursement provided. I wish health and safety concerns would be taken more seriously by this hotel and by Expedia.

Great location, right next to China town, close to Central station and Darling harbour convention centre. Rooms are huge but a bit tired. Check in/ out service was good but young guy on counter seemed unhappy, no big deal, I wasn’t planning on being best mates with him lol

Room was not made up at 3pm, check in was 2pm. Staff were apathetic and unhelpful, after 20mins room was ready
