Friendly staff. Close to the centre. Good to be able to make a meal in our room and nice to have access to the sauna.
Apartahotel style but layout of the rooms not very nice- comfortable
Very nice and clean property in a convenient location.
Hotel was nice but customer service incredibly poor. My room had an issue with the air conditioning that was never resolved. I requested a copy of the invoice for an extra nights stay due to a cancelled flight. Despite requesting it three times I still haven’t received it.
Great location as it was a 7-min walk to the HB. Nice lounge area at the lobby and good laundry facilities on L2. A few dining options nearby. Apartment is small with dining area and the sofa bed made for the kids. We had a double in the space next to the sofa and requested more pillows as well. Kids mentioned the sofa bed was hard but got a few extra pillows to help with sleep. No fan in the bathroom so must keep door when showering or it gets too foggy. All the toilets in Europe have a lingering smell so not sure why.
Location.
Great location, close to main train station which make sit easy to get around. Reception was very welcoming. Very hard as the apartment was probably a bit small for our needs. Also the heating and cooling were inconsistent. I would stay here again because of the convenience and friendliness of the staff.
6 night stay
Good overall! I understand you can pay for extra towels, cleaning etc but for a booking of 6 nights, I feel maybe a mid stay clean/towel refresh could be included. Room was overlooking the void in centre if hotel so felt a bit claustrophobic. However, it was convenient and I would stay here again.
Wish that there’s an international outlet in the room, I know Europe has different outlet from other countries like US.
Excellent stay
Excellent place to stay in Zurich. Close to train station and old town. Excellent staff at front desk, especially Aldo Malinga who was most courteous and helpful to us when we arrived. Thank you Aldo. We enjoyed our stay and the appartment is well equipped to make your own meals. Would stay here again when in Zurich.
The beds were built with some supports that were jutting out and unsafe. We get knocked on the toe when we get out of the bed and on the bed. The housekeeping staff did not refill the soap. We reported to reception, but they still did not fill up. So I had to walk to the reception and get it myself. I will not recommend this hotel.
Perfectly adequate studio apaprtmemt near the main station. Clean and well maintained. Quiet.
Walkable distance from Zurich train station. Comfortable bed and nicely equipped kitchen. Room sizd is a little tight to open two big size luggages on the floor. But other than that, everything was as picture.
We had a great stay at the Adagio. The staff, location and rooms were excellent. Would definitely go back.
**Rating: 1/5** **Review Title:** Horrible Experience - AVOID at All Costs! **Review:** Our stay at the Adagio Aparthotel, Zurich Centre, from August 18th to 21st was an absolute disaster, and both the hotel and Expedia are to blame. There was no warning whatsoever about the major construction happening right next door, which began at an absurd hour—6 a.m.—every single morning. The noise was relentless, making it impossible to sleep and ruining our entire holiday. When we complained to the hotel staff, they admitted that there was supposed to be an agreement to keep the construction quiet until 8 a.m., but this was ignored every single day. The lack of transparency and complete disregard for guests' comfort is unacceptable. Expedia also failed to provide any information about this ongoing construction. This is a massive oversight that left us blindsided. We relied on Expedia to ensure our stay would be enjoyable, and they let us down completely. This experience was a nightmare, and I strongly urge anyone considering this hotel—or using Expedia for that matter—to think twice. We will never be returning to this hotel or using Expedia for future bookings.
Check in was a mess
I booked the hotel via Expedia, when I got to the hotel it has three counters two for ibis and one for adagio. The adagio counter had no one I waited for a good 20min, no one showed up. I had to check in with the person at the ibis counter. Although she said it’s the same I was not told that when I was there waiting and she had nothing to do. At check in she charged me for breakfast and parking plus the room rates for three days without telling me that the room I booked is not available! I booked a double room and was put in a room with two twin beds, it was also a special room which I did not ask for and was not told at check in. I found out when I got to the room and what’s more irritating when I told Expedia I was offered a relocation to another hotel. I agreed under the mutual understanding that Adagio will refund my payment because they do not have the room I booked. Adagio refused to refund what I paid. And I had to pay for the relocation via Expedia again. this is just a night mare!
it looks like a cheap motel. I guess thats what you get in Switzerland. high price with low quality.
One of the more modern hotels in Zurich. It has a good location. The kitchenette was well appointed. We also appreciated the fans provided in each of our rooms. I will stay here again when I return to Zurich.
Tasty breakfast.
The front desk is super nice and friendly, tried her best to help me. Love it!
Reservations were a mess (computer issue) Thankfully the staff was very friendly and they made it right. It took longer to get settled but we all had a place to sleep that night.
Convenient location, check in process was disorganised and no one to welcome guests. It is expensive for the size of apartment.
The place is very close to the city centre. The rooms are a bit small but overall had an awesome stay.
Mediocre hotel. Rooms are stuffy without AC and the beds are old spring mattresses. The hotel also does not provide room cleaning or changes towels unless you pay an additional fee.
The staff of the counter could be more profession.
When I checked in, I paid the bill immediately. One staff said the payment was included breakfast but another one said it was not Included. Hence, I needed to pay for the breakfast again. When I found out the mistake he made, I needed to calculate with him and gave the proof before I could get the refund. Also I informed the counter that the hair dryer in my room was not working at around 7pm and he promised to give me a new one. Unfortunately, I didn’t get one before I checked out in the next morning.
Really loved our hotel for one night stay in Zurich on our way out to our lake house. My only complaint is that the AC didn’t really work at all and was more of a \- 3 degrees system rather than real AC and the pillows were not that great. The hotel is ideally located and is very clean and modern. The staff were also great and very friendly.
Close to old town, restaurants, attractions
Close to train station and shopping
This is a downtown property so it is compact. Once we figured out how to get in, park and unload it was easy…but at first it was confusing. Registration is upstairs. All were very kind and helpful.
Fun, clean, well set up hotel. Room was modern, efficient and perfect for a one night stop. The pizzas in the restaurant were really delicious and the restaurant had a quirky, cosy vibe. Staff at the front desk were very helpful and communication was clear.
Good apartment for families
Great location and good size room. Bed is too soft
Fantastic location. Good buffet breakfast. Very useful free water, tea and coffee station.
Great location and very much within a walkable distance. Nice breakfast too.
Bad Beds
We had a bed and a bed made from a pull out chair bed . The mattress on the bed was lumpy - very uncomfortable. The chair bed had missing slats not offering enough support. The chair bed had to replaced with a sofa bed which was equally uncomfortable.
Good location easy walking distance or 1 tram stop from main Zurich train station, which in turn is just a few minutes and a 7CHF ride to the airport. Adagio is at back of building, away from busy traffic street. Staff highly variable: checkin staff and staff on duty first night were among the least friendly among all of those I have encountered anywhere in Europe or North America. Checkout staff more helpful. Was told on arrival, "we have no air conditioning you will want to open your window" but my window was at ground level (leaving it open posed a security issue, especially at night). On departure, I was told they DID have some sort of cooling, but it was an environmentally positive system mandated by Zurich and thus cooled rooms very slowly. Room included iron ironing board and a fan. Kitchen area incredibly small, 2 burners microwave large fridge decent sized dishwasher with some pots, plates, glasses, silverware. Netspresso coffee maker but pods not supplied. Eating table very small. Excellent internet, close to 50mps up/down whether using open WiFi network or plug in Ethernet connector. TV probably used wired internet system and some sort of IP protocol as there was a lot of "glitching" (digitally dissolving images, disrupted sound) in the evening (when one guesses a lot of other guests watching TV) but fine during the daytime). No such issues at any times of day with using straight internet apps (e.g., YouTube) on the TV set.
Front desk was incredible. Such great service and clean rooms!
Great location.
Good location near the train station.
The apartment was awesome and very comfortable. I would surely stay there again.
Well kept, but arrived to dishes in dishwasher and unmaid beds. Hotel provided coffee makers, but no coffee in rooms...
It’s an ok hotel . The only issue is the noise from construction site early hours in the morning
Aixa took care of us constantly during our 3 weeks stay. Convenient for all things tourist! We had a car at times, so easy access to and from highways
Hotel does not honored their words
We have to cut short our stay at the hotel due to the German rail workers' strike on 10th to 12th January 2024. We had to cancel our booking from 9th to 10th January 2024 as our flight back home was on the 10th January 2024 from Munich so we had to take a train on 9th January 2024 from Zurich to Munich before the start of the strike. I had spoken to Mr John about our situation and he had checked with his manager and informed me that the manager had agreed to the cancellation and refund us the amount. But when Hotel.com had informed me that the hotel refused to refund me the amount for the cancellation. This hotel does not honored their words. Will never stay or recommed anyone to stay at this hotel.
Our stay at this hotel was extremely pleasant. What made our trip enjoyable was primarily the staff. They were all kind, sympathetic to our requests and always had a smile! The hotel's location is great for this reason...it's a 6-minute walk to the main HBF train, a terrific museum and the start of the Old Town entrance. The hotel is comfortable with spacious rooms, a great breakfast area and an additional seating area for relaxing. The bar is cozy as well if you want to unwind. I have absolutely ZERO complaints! (Except that they don't serve free coffee in the lobby in the mornings). Exceptional hotel!!!
Surprise stay!
Rented the apartment and it comes with no room cleaning services. It is free only once every 7 days of stay, so we have to empty our own bin and go reception to collect clean towels or toilet papers! It’s Abe of S$400 plus per night! Connecting hotel Ibiz is much cheaper and it has all the services and including breakfast! Plus the room they gave us was the last room and is connected to a building next door which is undergoing construction. They start drilling at 7 am each morning!
While the hotel is conveniently located a street from the river (just 3 min walk to the bus stop and another few min to the main shopping and dining area) and the check in process was quick and pleasant, the room is rather squeezy and dusty. The floor feels dirty and there was a strange insect in the room.
Great place to stay for a quick visit in Zurich. Has everything I need.
Great place to stay, highly recommend
clear and the room also big enough for family
We loved the location of this property, almost everything is at walking distance. The bed and the sofa bed were really comfortable, we slept like babies.
Overall decent experience
No room cleaning for 2 nights stay
I recently had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The cleanliness of the rooms was exceptional, making my stay very comfortable. Despite being centrally located near the old town, the hotel was remarkably quiet, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. One of the highlights of this hotel is its convenient location. Being close to the old town meant that I could easily explore historical sites, restaurants, and shops without having to travel far. Additionally, having transportation options right at the front of the hotel made it incredibly convenient for me to move around the city with ease. The staff was also very helpful and accommodating, making sure all my needs were met during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and convenient stay in the area. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.
OK la
Love our room except no air conditioning 😔 Isabela was helpful & made check-in quick & easy.
No a/c in this hotel. During summer months it is terrible.
property was only 10 minute walk from old city and station so location is good . but no AC in rooms when it was noted there was . it was very warm and humid . no housekeeping on a daily basis either . overall stay and location was good
very bad customer service. i booked two room for family and were given one around 12 but was told to come back for second room, Came back at 7 and we got key and when we went to room, it was not even cleaned at all. went back to the counter and we were given another room. both of rooms were so hot and at counter i was told that, it is against the law to turn AC on in rooms and was told to open windows. windows could not be open because of sofa bed on the way. very difficult sleep for that night and next day were given small fan and i was told that manager will get in touch with you next day but no one ever contacted me during next two days. Very disappointed by customer service at counter and management.
Very bad design/layout.
The location was accessible. I like the modern vibe of the lobby and restaurant. Breakfast was good.
We had a pleasant stay at Adagio. Room for 4 was of a good size with a good amount of storage space. Bed mattress could be improved as we found ours to lack structural support but overall area was quiet. Lobby area is very good but food was way too expensive so we had to look elsewhere for dining options. We would consider staying at this hotel apartment again.
Great hotel 😊
Stayed here for 2 nights with my family. My kids loved the apartment and the fact that there was a separate bedroom. We ate at the hotel restaurant the first night and the food was excellent. Reception staff were very helpful with directions and recommendations. The location of the hotel is really good for access to the train station and the old town. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent
We stayed in Zurich for 3 nights. From check-in to check-out the Adagio staff have been very polite and nice. The process was very smooth. We had a 1 bedroom apartment on the 6th floor. It was very clean and well maintained. The hotel is a short walk from Zurich HB. I will definitely stay again.
Enjoyed our 4 night stay. Centrally located, walkable to main train station/tours, restaurants, grocery store and shopping. Cute kitchen. Room is small but expected. Would stay again.
Helpful staff. Directed me on how to use the tram and that helped a lot. Got to the shopping areas and train station real quick. Trams runs every few minutes so it was very convenient. Once you get the hang of it you know take tram 11
Not at all satisfied overall
Very Good
It was very pleasant
Thank you so much to the staff who went way beyond to help me check-in before the check in time. He really understood how tired I was after a long flight. The breakfast options were good. The main train station is within walking distance. The apartment was clean. Had a pleasant stay overall.
Close to the tram stop and walkabledistance to old town.
Our apartment room is very spacious with a small kitchen. However under sink kept leaking water even the hotel technician came up twice but it was still leaking after…. Also both shower and toilet have no vent so the air is stagnant. Other than these we were very pleased with everything else.
Great option for a stay near the HB train station
Great location with high noise level.
The location is great, walking distance to the train station and shopping. However, it seems like "no noise after 10pm" doesn't really apply here. You can hear chairs moving constantly, since it has laminate floors. The housekeeping crews seemed like not happy, they would not smile or greet you including their supervisor. I have seen them dragging the vacuum cleaner along the hallway, making noise as they go. They were talking loudly in the hallway as well.
Great hotel for a stay in the centre of Zurich
Check-in was a little slow, and no information was given (about breakfast, parking etc). The hotel lobby and restaurant areas are very nice, staff are extremely helpful and polite. Apartments are on the small side but have everything you need. Breakfast choice was good.
The location of the hotel was great. Walking distance to the Old Town and Central Station. Room and lobby very modern, clean, quiet and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Very nice hotel. Staff very nice. Everything was very good.
A very cool hotel
A very nice hotel. Well located nearby the central station. Very clean, highly naintained and a cool young vibe. Highly recommended.
Close to Central Station. Comfortable rooms.
Very practical. Close to station. Nice to be able to cook in apt.
Fairly expensive for just one night. The area is just dark and confusing to find as the name on the outside of the building doesn’t match the booking reference.
We had a great stay in your hotel and highly recommend it to Zurich visitors!
Great hotel and rooms, staff was great, has a restaurant and bar on site, and best of all a kids play area that our children loved!! It was right by the restaurant bar, and it was the best thing ever. We were able to sit and enjoy coffee, drinks, and food, and our young kids were entertained for hours!
Great location. Walking distance from the station (so handy) and great staff. Sebastian was so friendly and helpful.
The staff at the front desk told us the room cleaning occurs only once a week. That just sounds odd. There was no trash can in the bathroom. Although we have requested it twice during our stay, nothing was provided.
All good apart from using the cooking hob where there’s no paper instruction of its usage. My husband has to search in you tube and where we manage to get it work.
NICE CLEAN, NOT A BAD LOCATION. DIDNT LIKE NO HOUSE KEEPING SERVICE SAME TOWELS ALL 4 NIGHTS
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Its an excellent place to stay at centre of Zurich.
Hotel should inform customer who brings their own vehicle on what to do on arrival at the hotel.
The property was in excellent condition. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
Good price for a large room in Zurich, but I wouldn’t stay again. No toilet paper was given. Location is not convenient for food, shopping or sightseeing. I requested to place my medication in the apartment hotel’s fridge while I wait for check-in and was advised they had no room for it, which I find hard to believe. This was the first time a hotel has refused such a request. Staff were terribly rude, which is very different to other hospitality staff we encountered in Switzerland.
Lobby was great! Was there with Girl Scout troops and they loved the hotel. Free breakfast was awesome! Out TV didn't work and front desk didn't help us even though we asked two times.
Overall this hotel is very attractive and has the best inside Ambience. We all enjoyed the stay at this hotel
Have a small kitchen and walking distance to the train station
It was minutes away from the city center, old town, restaurants and stores. The breakfast was great.
Had a fantastic stay with family for a week. Awesome property, very close to the metro.
Fabulous hotel . Spic & span. Mind Blowing Spa. Will Highly recommend
I stayed in “apartment “ with my family ( wife and two kids of age 11 and 7yr) . Everything was excellent ( staff, room size, cleanliness). Most attractive was location. It was just 5 minutes walk from railway station ( Zurich HB) and also very near to local tour travel center ). Second most attractive thing was room size, it was sufficient for a family of 4 -5 person. Only little disappointing thing was morning breakfast which has just few options for Indians.
The apartment we stayed in was clean and pleasant, albeit quite small. The check-in process was very slow, and the waiting area for guests checking in was very small so everyone was just standing around. The location for the hotel was about 10 minutes walk from Zurich HB, and also about 10 minutes away from the main shopping street.
Property location, cleanliness and friendliness were excellent. The fans in the WC and the roller shutters did not work. We asked about this on three occasions and each time we’re assured that ‘technical personnel’ would look after it. They were not fixed, and as far as we know, nobody even came by to look at the issues. Didn’t really affect our stay however.
