Room is too small for a double. No room for suitcases.
Amazing place, it was the first hotel we stayed in when we arrrived and it was a great location to get acclimated to the city. It's right by the train station, with plenty of places fo eat. I'd only comment on the laundry machines, as the dryers took a bit long for then to dry clothes.
Nice hotel but rooms were very small for the price. Not suited at all for tall people
The hotel was very clean and efficient. But know that the rooms are tiny! A double room is not really big enough for two people, as you can barely fit your luggage in the room with you. The only place to put your luggage is under the bed! The onsen is nice, but mom's bring their 7-8 year old sons into the woman's onsen, which in my opinion is too old to be around naked adult women. The location is near many government buildings, so not much around. The metro entrance is next door so you can get into other areas quickly. If you are a singlet, the room is fine, but for two people, forget it!
5 stars!
Everything you want out of a hotel in Tokyo. Small but clean, well kept, and convenient. I particularly enjoyed soaking in the spa after a long day of walking around.
The onsen is nice, but there’s no sauna. The breakfast is good but overpriced. Staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are very small even for Tokyo. The location is great: close enough to walk to Shinjuku station and all of the shops there, but far enough to be away from all the hubbub.
I don't like the controversial parts of this hotel.
It was ok. Just another hotel chain
Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Near Shinjuku Station, 25min walk. Frequent Taxis in neighborhood. Staff at desk can and will assist with acquiring taxi rides. Quiet area near a nice park.
Great area not too far from Shinjuku Station. Clean hotel rooms, wonderful bath house with indoor and open air options for all guests. Great value for price. Paid around $100/night Restaurant downstairs is great and there are lots of great food options around the area too. If you are driving there is onsite parking and the hotel is also located next to a subway line. Great coffee shop down the street from the hotel as well.
tiny rooms
Convenient location but the rooms are very tiny. Barely any place to keep bags and have room to move around. Also, microwave and laundry facilities are only on floor 2 for a hotel that has 20 floors.
I specially like spa!
Solid hotel in a convenient location. Not too much right there in the surrounding area of the hotel, but if you are sightseeing around Tokyo, this location is pretty convenient to just about everything. 5 min walk to the subway.
Very small room with no room specific temp control
- Rooms were quite small. We had 4 large trolleys since we were transiting through Tokyo, and it felt quite small in the room. - It was quite hot inside the room. Hotel doesn't have the ability to switch from heater / ac per room. It's either all rooms have ac or all rooms have heater. The only other resort is you can ask hotel to turn off heater of your room and then open up windows for temperature control.
A wonderful place just ¥2500 away from Shibuya crossing by taxi. We parked the car because we didn’t want to get into where to park or not and taxis can drive lanes you can’t.
I love the onsen
I would definitely stay again in this hotel. Perfect location as it’s close to Nishinjuku station plus the hot spa is superb.
Hot public bath is great!
Over all, it was good. But I always feel not welcomed at front desk. Cleaning crew are nice. The public bath is excellent. However many foreigners don’t know how to take a public bath. The hotel should let the guests how to take it with Japanese manners.
Check out at 10am!!!! That's way early never seen in any country that I visited
The rooms and bathrooms are extremely small that you barely move Never been to a hotel with these extremely small rooms and bathrooms
a bit smaller room than expected, overall great experience
Nice location, but room just OK.
Bed was comfy but fully occupies one end of the room, so one person has to climb in/out over the other. Bathroom is small and bidet seat is not heated. Faucet in our sink was broken, could only be on full blast or off -- no flow adjustment. No individual room thermostats, so we had to open the window and listen to noisy Tokyo. However, location was good for food and subway station access.
Best hotel
Nice for my first time in Japan the location was convenient and I really enjoyed the Onsen
Quaint and cozy
👍
The location of this property is close enough to Shinjuku that it's walkable, but away from the crowds. We loved this area, peaceful, and pretty. We will be back.
The hotel room was clean and a bit bigger than the one in Umeda, as it was a twin room. I thought the hotel would be in a better location. The closest station is for Toeodo subway line, not the JR Yamanote loop line so it was additional cost. There wasn’t much happening near the hotel, it just felt it was inconvenient. I wouldn’t stay there again.
Great hotel room. Small but we knew that heading there. Would stay again
Overall we are very happy about the hotel. Very convenient and great view. Enjoyed hot bath house as well.
Recommended
The hotel is easy to find and close to the subway. The front desk staff are friendly and very helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. The available amenities are great. I was unable to use the spa due to my tattoos (which is a common thing in Japan) so i can not speak to that area.
One of the Breakfast buffet staff at the Hotel was rude. They need to understand customer service basics.
Pretty warm in the room
Everythings good excepted bed too soft not good for back when I got waked up got pain up to now still. Dryer in laundry not function well.I got my clothes after two hours still wet.
Very clean place. This is my 5th come to this hotel. No bad smell in my room, the bed is comfortable. The location of the subway line “Odeio” is very complicated to find when we are in the station of: Shinjuku, Shibuya. Very easy to get lost from these stations to find the line “Odeio”. It’s not my first time in Tokyo, I still get lost of this line, But overall this hotel is good.
Love this place
Great hotel , staff and all. Just stay away from the gyoza shop next door , they are not very polite to foreigners, multiple times tried to eat there and always met with rude service.
The reception staff is unfriendly, and the room is very cramped. The overall atmosphere is lacking warmth, making it difficult to feel comfortable. The amenities are minimal, and the noise from the hallway disrupts any chance of relaxation. Unfortunately, the location does not compensate for these shortcomings, as it is far from the attractions one hopes to visit. Dining options nearby are limited, and the ones available do not live up to expectations. Overall, this experience has been disappointing, leaving much to be desired in terms of hospitality and comfort.
I have stayed at this hotel several times. However, during this stay, the bathroom in my room had an unpleasant smell, and the faucet would stop running unless it was turned all the way to allow a large flow of water. I was disappointed this time.
The room was very small..
It was right next to the subway station, which was super convenient.
The fact that you don’t have to pay for onsen because this hotel has one is a plus. Bathroom is clean and love the amenities. Make sure to look at the square footage of the room when booking. Some rooms with double beds are small and no closets. Luggages can be stored under the bed.The breakfast buffet is really good and there is also a restaurant in the hotel.
Great place to stay very easy transportation and close to shinjuke and seven eleven and other stores
Yes good
Good
The hotel is good only 3 min walk from train station. Did not find good restaurants around. I took taxi every day to different places.
Walking distance to subway and all the small convince stores
We stayed in Tokyo for a week, the hotel provided us with fresh towels and hygiene necessities pretty much everyday that we stayed. Very generous staff.
Great experience - we will book again.
Great fit for travel in Japan.
Great spot. Great location
Overall great. Just need to get over the size of the room. Kinda claustrophobic at first but you get used to it.
Great place if you want easy access to the subway. Also great if you are coming to japan yo site see rather than spend time in your hotel. I would argue that this is a great place for a place to relax after a long day of walking and adventuring at an affordable price.
The good: Beautiful onsen, lots of coin laundry machines, great spa/personal care products, good water pressure in the shower, and I thought it was quiet for Tokyo. Able to store luggage under the bed, which is something I am surprised more hotels don’t do… The bad: They only cleaned our room once during our TINY room once during our 5 night stay..: and one little garbage bin in our room… with two people, I didn’t think this was really acceptable. I understand that there are very few garbage cans in public in Japan, but I extending that practice to the hotel rooms? Hmmm! I don’t think I would stay at this one again.
Good hotel for its price
Rooms are tiny and the bathroom is the size of airplane bathroom. Location isn’t central shinjuku with much around.
Enjoyed our time, it was a bit far from everything but we made it work with the metro.
The value for the stay along with facility was amazing. Especially they have hot water spa to use was a plus! i would bookes it again.
The room is quite tiny, but that's fine considering the area was very walkable. What we didn't like is that despite the hotel adverising that it has air conditioning, it doesn't mention that it's controlled centrally you can't control the temperature in each room. It was insanely hot in our room despite using the fan and opening the window. It was so hot we couldn't sleep.
This property is lying about having AC. They only run the heat in the winter and you can't adjust the temp in your room (even in the summer). They told me to open my window and that only brought my room down to about 80 degrees. They have signs in the elevators saying they can't turn on the AC because of all of the complaints. Disappointing that they would lie about this. Location is good.
Really convenient as the hotel is across the street from Nishi Shinjuku Chome on the Toei line - a lot of other hotels are a bit of a hike from subway stops. Small rooms which are expected in Tokyo - pretty decent public bath - the coin operated laundry needs a bit of an upgrade - the dryers take multiple hours to dry clothes.
Great place to stay in front of subway station lot of places to eat and buy food 20 minutes walking to shinjuke where there is a lot of shops and crowd people, very nice place
It was very clean and professional the rooms were small but decent for two people. The amenities offered were extremely helpful especially for long stays. I wish it had been the only hotel we stayed in.
The service was fantastic and the Peter Cole Irish Pub was very convenient.
Was ok to stay for 2 nights but wouldnt stay for longer periods .. a bit small in room luckily i was by myself , 2 people would be nightmare
Close to train . Clean hotel
I loved that the station was right outside, as soon as I walked out from taking the train from the airport I could see the hotel right from the entrance, also the express check out was the nicest thing. Close convenience stores to grab something to eat at any time, and also an atm to withdraw money at any time
The staff was beyond amazing
Great property and facilities, but the wifi in the hotel isn’t working
Close to the underground station. A variety of restaurants nearby. Onsen was nice to have.
Good
APA Hotels are consistent: small rooms, but everything works. This one was just fine. Very close to metro stop. Walkable into Shinjuku for shopping and food (about 1.5km or so). Walkable to Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building for the views from the top floor.
Very nice hotel, amazing location.
Will come back again
APA in Nishishinjuku is really conveniently located near the train station, and so easily accessible! The conceirge staff were very helpful and multilingual, which really made checking in and asking questions so much easier. The rooms are cosy in size but clean, and we appreciated the laundry services and fresh towels and yukatas every day. Would definitely come back again!
Good hotel. Didn't expect the room to be so small.
Quiet street near a train station which makes it super convenient to head into the city. If you want to avoid the fray of inner Tokyo, this is a great option.
Stayed on a solo trip for 4 nights, and could not be happier with the hotel. The location is excellent for getting around with a subway station right across from the street, and a family mart convenience store as across the street as well. The staff was efficient and friendly and genuinely helpful. As for the room, while some reviews complain about the size, I loved it. Everything is laid out in a well thought out manner to be as comfortable and convenient as possible in the limited space. Comfortable and cozy for me, with a great bath tub and shower- wonderful pressure and temperature range. I’ll definitely be back when I return to this awesome land that is Japan!
We expected a small room, which is what it was, but well designed to make the most of the space. Missed having a wardrobe so meant living out of a suitcase as there were only a few hangers. The bed was comfortable and it was very quiet despite a busy city location. A reasonable price in a great area makes this hotel a top recommendation!
The Amenities are nice, they provide you with many free towels, and toiletries daily. The hotel is around a nice area with the train station closeby. There are many retail stores nearby like familymart and 7 eleven. There is one negative about the hotel room, you cannot control the AC in the room, only the hotel can dictate whether its on or not and the temperature. We found ourselves very hot in the room and had trouble sleeping because we kept having night sweats while sleeping. This caused a very uncomfortable sleeping experience throughout our stay.
Ridiculously small rooms. So small you can’t fit your luggage in there. For the price you pay, it’s unacceptable. They don’t tell you this when booking either.
The hotel room is too small and the bathroom is too hight to step inside the tub is high they should have it walk in specially if the customer is disabled
We booked a room for 2, room was too small, we requested a twin bed, they were not able to accommodate us.
It's a two minute walk from a station. Had plenty of smaller amazing restaurants with in walking distances. Room was clean and quiet. Only complaint is the amount of laundry machines.
It’s small
It was very close to Dotonbori.
Only issue with this location is it’s further away from a lot of the tourist attractions so you’ll be using the train more
Clean, comfortable stay with a pool. Would stay again
Excellent location.
Good value. Expect a bit of a wait when checking in as the hotel is large, has group tours arriving, and had only 3-4 agents available.
None
Rooms are very very small for my liking, great area, hotel is nice, most of the employees gave exceptional customer service, I avoided one in front desk that seemed like she was having a terrible week. Overall it was good.
The room is very small. The front desk staff is not friendly. They could use some training in customer service.
Good memories
Great area to stay. Enjoyed the onsen and the breakfast.
There were hairs in the bathroom and on our bedding, and some stains on the wall. The room was very small. Other than that, it was fine. Affordable, and close to a train. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a cheap place to stay, and don’t have super high standards.
Easy check in and out. Breakfast eggs too runny, need more cooking.
Rooms are small but good enough for one person. Train is located across the street which was very convenient
Great location right outside of bustling Shinjuku, within 30 minutes walking distance from the core of Shinjuku for those late nights when the metro is closed. Train station is 200m from the lobby. Rooms are just big enough for anything you need.
Truly enjoyed staying here. It was a couple of minutes away from the subway station and requesting a taxi was super easy. It's in a quiet part of the city but there were so many walkable dining options. It was great be able to stay away from the noise.
