Loved our stay

I loved my stayed. Super close to where I needed to go (one of the embassy in the area) easy to walk to dinning places! I also walked to the Parliament and back. Room had everything I needed and the breakfast was amazing (Crepes and omelet). I would stay there again!

Go for the omelette, different (no spoilers here) but very good. A luggage rack in the room would have made it perfect.

The house was in moderately poor condition, unattractive, not welcoming or homey whatsoever. My private room had no individual HVAC control. The A/C was running non-stop upon arrival. I had to go into the hall and change the thermostat for the entire 2nd floor to stop the onslaught of cold air. That is just wrong. On the night I stayed, someone, either another guest or the owner, was up and banging around their room until 2am. I suspect it was the owner. It was impossible to sleep through the noise. The TV in my room had 3 or 4 useless channels. Breakfast was poor to average. This is very probably the worst B&B I have ever stayed at out of 50. Will not use again.

The owners were very nice and served great breakfasts and coffee :) The room was very neat and well-prepared for my stay. I had a great time!

Excellent!

IWe chose this Bed and Breakfast because of its location. We were going to the Venezuelan Embassy to get our passports. Irina was kind enough to checked us in after midnight, gave us incredible and valuable information about the process (she has hosted many Venezuelans before us) like regardless the time going to the embassy to put our names on the list. And on top of that the breakfast is delicious, balanced and better than many hotels, in my opinion. Also ga ve us pointers where to go sightseeing after we did our errands. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Fabulous!

I was looking for the closest hotel/B&B to the Venezuelan embassy in Ottawa and happened to find this wonderful place by chance. What a gift! The hosts are a warm and friendly family, the breakfast is outstanding, the house is a block away from the embassy. Irina (the host) allowed me to leave my bag there while I spent the day in line. I came in during the long wait for tea and bath breaks. I can't say enough good things. Highly recommend!

Lovely stay in downtown Ottawa

The B&B is well-situated and has parking available. The room was spacious and comfortable, the shared bathroom was well-equipped, and the property overall was very clean. The family who runs it is very nice and the breakfast was delicious!

Irina is a wonderful host, and the atmosphere of this B&B is very homey and welcoming. The room itself was a bit chilly, but there were extra blankets in the room for that purpose. All standard amenities were provided. Breakfast in the morning was phenomenal, I would recommend staying at this B&B for that alone, never mind everything else :)

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Ambassador. The location was very convenient, walking distance to the canal for skating and shops. Irina, was very accommodating and friendly. We felt like “family”. We would definitely stay again.

We had a really great stay at the Ambassador B&B. Just a short walk to downtown Ottawa, a comfortable and cosy room and off-road parking was a bonus. Irina was a brilliant host - we really enjoyed talking to her, she made an amazing breakfast and she gave us some great tips about the city.

This is an excellent guest house. Our host made us feel like at home. The place is super-clean and the breakfast was delicious. Unbeatable location if you plan to do some business in the nearby embassies. Keep in mind that there are not many restaurants/shops in the area.

Had a wonderful stay at Ambassador B&B. Awesome host! I was spoiled with breakfast and great turkish-pot-made coffee. The property is close to parks and canals and sightseeing sites are in close proximity. Will certainly stay again.

Irina was the best host, she was quick to respond and I found it easy to coordinate my arrival and super appreciate that I was able to check out later! Anything that I needed - hot tea during the day, recommendations of places to go and even a yoga mat - it was all provided by the welcoming hosts :) The house overall has a good ambiance and feel to it. My room was quiet, cozy and clean. The bathroom is spacious and light. The breakfasts were delicious. Definitely would stay again. Thank you!

The staff and breakfast were lovely! The room could have been a little cleaner. There were a few flies in the washroom but overall very nice.

Great location in a beautiful area close to several embassies, and walking distance from the downtown core and the byward market. The room was nice, and the breakfast good. Only issue was the shared bathroom, in the morning expect to wait your turn. Not a big deal for a night's stay but can turn out to be more than a little annoyance over a longer stay.

Far short of potential

While in a fine part of Ottawa the house is in need of much refurbishment. Only one bathroom for several guest rooms, House was largely occupied by Russian family who live there. No common area for guests to relax and no comfortable seating in the rooms. Breakfast appeared to have been prepared earlier and reheated. We will not return

Our stay was good, no complaints, other than the breakfast time 7-9 am, irina did however asked us what time for breakfast on our second day, and was willing to make it for us at 9:30. I prefer breakfast to be from 7-10 am

The property is a wonderful century home in the centre of the city. We had the Premium King Room which has an ensuite, a lovely large bathroom.

The breakfast was very good. The rooms were very clean. We enjoyed our stay and felt comfortable and well receieved.

Overall it was really great. Amazing breakfast and very attentive host. My only complaints are that the picture you see here, led me to believe this bathroom was part of our room. It is not and is a shared bathroom with 3 other rooms. Partially my fault for not reading the description of the room fully, but misleading. And the wi-fi connection is not good. My wife and I were trying to do work on our laptops and kept loosing our connection.

The staff members were really nice. They made sure that everything was clean. Irena made sure that I had everything I needed. I would definitely recommend that everyone stay there. The only issue is that it was a shared bathroom but then again I never had to wait a long time to use the washroom.
