Beautiful hotel with a great roof top pool and large onsen. Drink alcohol all afternoon for 1,000 yen. I have already suggested this hotel to others visiting Beppu in the near future.

The hotel is very well equipped, the staff is friendly and the breakfast buffet is great. It was too cold to swim at the pool on the roof but the veiw is absolutely amazing!

Hybrid room, memory foam beds and classic futon beds on tatami mats. Roomy, excellent ofuro/shower room. Easy to walk around and catch buses, 3 min walk to Beppu station.

Great location to stay in Beppu very close to Beppu train station. Lots of restaurant and bars around. Japaneese style breakfast with lots of selections. Very clean and Onsen and Sauna. Stayed 4 nights wish I could stay more

Good room good breakfast but be careful you need to make sure to book AMANEK Beppu YULA-RE which different than AMANEK Beppu. The AMANEK Beppu room is old and bad dysty.

Brand new property within 5 minutes walking distance to train station. Great size room for a family, awesome breakfast with local food and friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend.

This would be one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at the Staff the facility the room and everything about it being close to the train station was just over the top. I will be back here again.

Convenient location, about 2 minute walk to the main train station and multiple bus stops. Large bath/shower as well as on property onsen and massage parlor. Breakfast had a lot of Japanese and Western options. Enjoyed my stay.

Hygienic Issues

The one regret I have from my five week stay in Japan was staying at the Amanek. A buffet came bundled in the price (I normally avoid these) and I got the worst case of food poisoning I've ever had. It took ten days to get over it and affected the rest of my trip. I was so sick with fever and nausea that I forgot things in my room when I checked out. To add insult to injury, it was difficult to get the management to forward the missing things to me. They charged me a hefty price for that. After their hotel made me sick, you'd think they'd be more sympathetic. Again, I regret having stayed there. The food service and and internal hot springs needs to be inspected by an outsider agency. The want your money but don't care about your health.

Do not stay here.

Check in horrible. Zero flexibility total confusion. Service and hospitality is 2/10. Will never go back.

Remember to make reservation for dining around if u go for sashimi restaurant

Nice hotel in Beppu city, near train station.

Clean, spacious conviently, very helpful front office staff

Hotel is newish and lobby offers free welcome juices and teas. Slept well through the nite on the relatively firm mattress. Onsen was crowded after dinner and could have been bigger to accommodate more guests

Great location, excellent breakfast buffet that includes unlimited sparking wine. Not only that, it also offers free flow of alcohol from 2pm until 10pm that costs 1000 yen which is quite very cheap. Unfortunately, the room does not meet our expectation as it’s really very small. The public bath, pool and sauna was great. Didn’t try jacuzzi yet.

The rooms are spacious and the bang for your buck is great. Id highly recommend this hotel. The all you can drink for 1000 yen is also amazing

Amazing stay with 2 kids

The room was huge and spacious, the staff were super friendly and helpful, there was a heated rooftop infinity pool which we wished we had known earlier so we could make more use of it, and there was an indoor and outdoor public bath. Huge selection of yukatas in the lobby (only downside is that the smaller sizes for kids run out very quickly), and the breakfast selection was also great!

It will be good to have less crowded female Onsen.

Recommended for a relaxing stay in beautiful Beppu. We had a yakiniku just a few blocks away and enjoyed the rooftop pool, sauna and authentic Onsen experience. It’s a beautiful hotel and spot. We will be back. My only gripe was the limited GF options for breakfast. It would be great to have an omelette station or plain (unseasoned) hard boiled eggs and more fruit.

This place is near the station. The rooms are very nice and there are many amenities in the hotel. The rooftop pool was nice and the hotel’s onsen was relaxing. It can get busy, so choose your time accordingly to visit. In the morning there were hardly any people. The breakfast was also quite varied and delicious too. For 1000 yen you can buy a day pass to drink alcoholic drinks which seems like a good deal! They have yukata services, but be sure to get one early on as they seem to run out quickly while we were there. The staff was very attentive and courteous and the hotel’s decor and design are pleasing. We would definitely come back again!

Check in was fast. There was no on site parking. No convenient store near the hotel. Other than that, it’s a great hotel to stay in.

It's our second time staying at this hotel, which is clean and convenient. Breakfast is Japanese style and very interesting; the tempura is delicious. The room is clean and comfortable, but it's a little hard to get all the lights off at night. In the lobby at night, you can pay about 1,000 yen to drink as much wine as you like--not a bad deal! Some of the staff members don't speak English, but they are good at using Google Translate on their phones to communicate with us. The best part of the hotel is the sauna and onsen on top of the hotel.

Quite new hotel. The price is quite a bargain compared to other local hotel. The location is convenient and easy to find. Free breakfast is a great addition. Though our room was not cleaned thoroughly. There’s strong body odor lingering while we step in.

A fairly new hotel at a convenient locations. Lotsa eateries within walking distance. Only issue is the car park is a bit hard to find.

Breakfast is not worth paying for. Rice is soggy and assortments are mundane and bland. Only one trash can in the room so you have to literally carry around with you bet the bedsides and bathroom. Community bathroom tub is not hot spring and very lukewarm. The interior decor in the room appears very cheap.

Nice rooftop onsen that is large and well kept. Limited amenities in the onsen though, and the glass windows aren’t too clean so its hard to fully admire the view it has. Hotel has free flow alcohol for 1000JPY which was really worth while. No allowance of early check in or late check out but they can keep your luggage. Rooms are rather snug for two but sufficient.

Nice hotel, quite new and clean. Good facilities, heated rooftop pool with sauna and hot tub. Free flow drink menu a very nice idea for an evening aperitif and reasonably priced. We'll located near the station Nice friendly staff who spoke good English and we're very helpful.

Good location, nice staff.

Everything about this hotel is first class. The Onsen is fantastic and the mountain view is wonderful. You can walk to the train station in less than five minutes. The staff will do everything they can to make your stay memorable. Sauna, two rooftop pools ,a Jacuzzi, flat screen tv, even a small gym, Self service laundry, what else can you ask for? This is my favorite hotel in Japan.

The location and the staff are very helpful

Actually I liked the property a lot. The room was clean and had a nice view of Beppu. The onsen was nice with a beautiful view from the open air bath. My reason for downgrading my score is they were very petty. When we went to the breakfast buffet the morning after check in, we were refused admission and pulled aside. This was very embarrassing making us look like criminals to the guests behind us in line. All because a mistake by the receptionist who checked us in undercharged my credit card by a few cents. I offered to pay the balance in cash (to avoid them paying a bank service charge) or charge my card for the extra amount. They wouldn't do that insisting on refunding the original amount to my credit card and charging my card again for the correct amount. They wanted my original credit card receipt but I left it in my room and didn't have the time to return to my room as I had a reserved train seat at 8 am. I said that I would return to settle the difference with them after I returned from that trip. That wasn't acceptable so they went ahead and processed the refund and recharged my card. At last we were allowed to enter the buffet. The refund took several days to show up on my credit card transactions. The refund ended up being LESS than what I was charged. Next the waitress refused to give me a small piece of fish like my wife got in her Japanese menu that wasn't in my western menu. She said we were only allowed one even though it was a buffet.

Clean and modern room

5 mins walk from Beppu Station. Though the exterior of the building looks old, the interior is nice and modern. Room is clean and big. I like that the toilet and shower area are separated and a spacious washing basin area. The breakfast was disappointing. Not much varieties and most of the food was cold.

I could not recommend this hotel more highly. Both the facilities and the staff were amazing. It's an easy walking distance to lots of great shopping and places to eat and being so close to the station (about a 3 mins walk) means it's easier to catch a bus to the major attractions. I also want to say an extra special thanks to Sayama who really made my stay memorable. On the day I checked out my ferry to Osaka, leaving from Beppu, was cancelled. Sayama helped me rebook a different ferry leaving from a neighbouring city. I am so grateful for her help and kindness when I was very worried about what to do next! I hope to visit again.

Great hotel for Amanek Beppu station hotel

For our convenience, we stayed one night in Amanek Beppu Yura-Re location. The superior Japanese western room is spacious and comfortable. We could see the Beppu tower and Ougiyama from our room. There is also a coin laundry service. The breakfast is decent. Although we didn't use the hot springs and infinity pool. We enjoyed the view on the rooftop. We had a pleasant stay. Greatly appreciated for keeping our passports and envelopes of cash safe after we forgot them inside of the in room safety box. Being an American and traveling to Europe a lot, keeping important stuff inside of safe is the side effects😂. Thank you so much again for a great hospitality.

Ok stay.

We stayed overnight during a rainy day in Beppu. The room we stayed in was pretty small. Definitely no room for a large luggage. If you didn’t buy the breakfast plan beforehand, and during check in, you cannot sit in for breakfast the next day. Advanced reservations only. I found this weirdly inconvenient because most of our stays in Japan, we were able to buy and pay for breakfast right then and there, no reservations needed. They provide coffee for free but it has to be in a to go container, you can’t use any other cups.

It’s January and the outdoor rooftop pool was the main reason we selected this place. It was perfect for short lap exercise swims. The on-site hot bath was the other reason for choosing this hotel and the facility was was excellent, better than expected. We had their breakfast twice during our stay and it was excellent also. So far, so good. My biggest disappointment with this hotel is the same shortcomings of so many similar Japanese hotels. For alll the amazing marvels of Japanese ingenuity, it’s mind boggling (to me) why they haven’t employed their considerable skills when designing a simple hotel room. For minimal investment cost, installing additional shelving, hooks, & hangers would help ease the burden of living out of our luggage. Small rooms are one thing but at the very fricken least, provide a space for our stuff. By contrast we are now in Nagoya at a more modern hotel with similarly small but highly efficient room design. Waaaay more comfortable. Plus a 70” TV and less than 1/2 the price! Sweet. Overall, we’ll probably stay here again bc everything, other than typically cramped room, was excellent. Helpful staff and good location too.

The hotel is easily walkable from Beppu Station and not far from the waterfront and Beppu Tower. The amenities include a heated rooftop pool with beautiful views of the area as well as a nearby sauna and large public baths on the floor below (also with views out over the city). There are many restaurants on the nearby streets.

The own spa in suite room is too small, a bit disappointed when see it in real as compared to what was seen in pictures on the internet. Difficult to find decent dinner around hotel.

A great hotel to end my Kyushu adventure in Beppu. Contemporary, CLEAN, Yukata provided for Onsen and rooftop pool with incredible views. I hope to come back here again!

Generally very clean and convenient with accessible amenities. Rooms were well maintained and the bathroom was impressive. Onsen was on the small side compared to other hotels.

Booking for 3, there are 3 proper beds and room is just good. not too small. very convenient, walking distance to station. one thing disappointing is i never able to get a yukata to onsen. they never had enough for both days. The restaurant area is modern and spacioua but when come to Breakfast, pretty disappointing, Got western and Japanese to choose from. main dish was cold though, very few choices too.

The hotel is actually visible from the Beppu train and bus station, so it's easy to find and to walk to. Staff as usual are polite, respectful, friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel has a nice hot bath on the 14th floor.My Our room was very large and the bathroom was very nice. Wifi reception was excellent. My only criticism would be in reference to the elevators. Sometimes there are a lot of people using them and it takes a while. I would definitely stay here again. I loved our view of Beppu Bay from our room.

This place is excellent . The rooftop pool, spa, sauna facilities are excellent, with a beautiful view of the city. The onsen is also great. Rooms are modern and location close to train station. Very affordable given all the above points

It’s a nice new hotel near Beppu Station and Kitahama Bus stop. The onsen is large and clean. The lobby has free drinks and friendly staff like Mr. Tong. The gym is small but good enough. We’ll come back again. I think the safe box on the floor should be moved to a higher place.

Great location from the train station and easy to walk to nearby shopping, etc. Staff were exceptionally helpful being that we were not native Japanese speakers and they accommodated our needs with a smile and graciousness. Will definitely be staying there the next time we visit Beppu.

Nice find in Beppu

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. It is probably the best in Beppu. It is very traditional Japanese, thus some knowledge of the customs, cuisine, and Japanese language will be helpful.

The bigger room we had was good, except for the limited area to hang shower towels and to have more than one opened luggage. The walls were terribly thin in out opinion. Plenty of noise could be heard from other rooms and along the corridor, especially several who were early birds. The laundromat instructions could had been improved in explanations for English language. Not a definite nearby to dining options, which are more towards the beach/ seaside areas.

한국어 가능한 직원이 있어서 어려움을 해결하기에 정말 좋았어요. 그리고 유카타를 직접 고르는 재미가 있었구요 욕탕 물이 너무 좋았어요. 그리고 룸에서 보이는 탁트인 전경이 최고였어요. 아참 1층에 웰컴 드링크는 무제한이용 가능이었는데 저는 일정이 바빠서 이용을 못해서 아쉬웠어요.

Stayed for one night. Overall one of my best hotel experience. The staff are very helpful and welcomed me to guide me to the receiption right after I entered the hotel entrance. Room and spacious, and modernly renovated. Public bath is nice, similar to what modern Japanese hotel would have. Rooftop pool has a stunning 360 degree view over Beppu and Oita. Swimwear can be rented from the front desk with a small fee. Staff is also very helpful in assisting. Free flow welcome drink (with quite some options) is a very nice gesture which allows guests to stay in the lobby for a refreshing break. Breakfast is also very delicious with many options. Location is 5 minutes walk from Beppu station, where almost all buses and JR goes to. Would definitely stay here again if I visit Beppu next time.

お正月に夫婦二人で朝食込みで三万もせずに、あんなに綺麗なお部屋に泊まれて大満足です。大浴場のお湯も確かに温泉の円やかさを感じました。 チェックアウトが11時なのも、ゆっくり帰り支度が出来て良かった。
