Nice stay in center of town
Very convenient location right in the center of town. You do have to park a little far, especially if you’re there on a weekend, but it’s not too bad. I suggest dropping the luggage off with someone to check in and then go find parking so you’re not pulling luggage thru the stone walkways for blocks. They did give us free breakfast coupons for the Alvino cafe, we didn’t use them because it was so busy and tables were not available. There are plenty of cafes all around though, we liked one a few steps away called Tranquillo. The only thing was that the beds were very hard, we weren’t able to get super comfortable.
Very accommodating staff Barbara and Ilaria!! Great location love the cafe Alvino downstairs,, historic site excellent location
unmitigated disaster
I've rarely seen a greater disconnect between photos on a web site and the reality of a room. The room I wound up in was more of a cell, with one window 15 feet up against the ceiling. It offered no ventilation in the stiflingly hot room, and I had to make several calls to get the air conditioning turned on to and to borrow a fan. The condition can best be described as neglected. The bathroom fixtures were all corroded, the towels were old and frayed, the bedsheets had holes in them, and the pillows were so old and flat I had to pile 3 one top of each other just to get a little support. When I opened to closet, there was a coating of dust on the shelf. Fortunately, I had also been given a stained bath towel so I used that to clean the closet. The location is very central, which is great for moving around the city, but it can very noisy at night (particularly when the restaurants dump their recycling in the bins in the alley). All in all, this was a very poor B&B, and it adversely affected my experience of Lecce. I contacted Hotels.com hoping they could do something to help. They did nothing but offer me some onekey cash, which is of no use to me as this experience has convinced me not to use Hotels.com again.
Beautiful room but had lots of light bulbs burned out in the smaller of the 2 rooms we rented. It Sits right on the square and right above a cafe so it is very noisy at night. Beds are very hard. Very convenient to dining options.
Amazing location overlooking the Roman Amphitheatre. The room was amazing as was the view (the pictures do not do the room justice). Loved that it was a keyless entry and we didn't have to worry about forgetting keys or losing them. Breakfast in the cafe below was great!
Alvino great, Hotels.com sucks
The Alvino room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the staff friendly and very helpful. Hotels.com charged my credit card 30% more than they said they would, and their customer service chat line I contacted after my stay worked fine until it came to a question they didn’t want to address, at which point they pretended I wasn’t answering their questions.
Great location. Small room but was good enough. Close to train station, all sights and restaurants.
No arrangements were made to access the property. The air conditioner in the room was noisy - a sleepless night as a consequence. There was no cleaning service available one day of our stay. We would not book here again.
pretty good
fantastic location - felt slightly impersonal as didn’t meet anyone or see anyone - entry by code to the accommodation and breakfast in the cafe below but all ok. room was spacious and nice and location. in the heart of thugs was super . nearest parking was pricy and about 10- 15 mins walk away
Great Location
Great Location, Really nice big room and very clean. Would stay again
Beautiful location, friendly staff, clean facilities and great breakfast!
definitely recommend it
the location is great - easy to find just inside the city walls which means its not too far to walk with cases in the pedestrian area. Its easy to get to the rest of this very pretty town. We stayed in a budget room for two nights which although small was fine and had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this place - the check in is easy and helpful - breakfast is light - just a coffee and a pasty - but these were wonderful .
Fabulous 10/10
Absolutely fabulous b&b. Delightful room newly refurbished with balcony looking over the roman amphitheatre in Piazza Oronzo. No keys just same code to the front door & the room. Perfect location could walk everywhere in the old town. I have stayef in so many b&b's over the years & this one has to be top of the list. Just 35 mins from Brindisi airport & shuttle bus was brilliant stopping right on the square. Just hope by giving it a glowing report I'll be able to stay there next time in Puglia
Superb position, spacious, good air conditioning, lovely bathroom, clean stylish
Clean spacious room above a cake shop!
Does it get any better than staying above a cake shop? Breakfast at the cakeshop does not happen quickly. But why would you rush coffee and pastries at a table on the piazza overlooking a 2nd century Roman amphitheatre? The room was large with all modern fittings. A great spotless bathroom.
Room Oké. Disappointed that the room had no Windows. We would have more info about this. Or a discount in the price as compensation.
Larm
This is not a comfortable choice of hotel
The location is very central in Lecce old town. The welcomeing at check in was a bit too efficient and after that the only contact we could have with the owners were through text messages. Our room was quite noisy, early to late from the ally below. There is was no real balcony, but if we leaned out we could see the amphitheater in the square. The room had nothing that was "executive", not even a chair that was fit to sit on. But what irritated us the most was the breakfast as that was supposed to be included in the price. Just before arrival we were informed about their concept. You had to go to their pasticceria and get your breakfast from what was offerd there with a ticket worth 5 € per person . For this amount we could get one cup of coffee and a cornetto or something like that. We wanted also an orange juice for which we were charged 4 € per person. This is not what we'd concider a breakfast even if the Italian berakfast habits are differeny from northern Europe. On the whole this stay was far from as nice as we'd expected from the given description.

Comfortable central location
Great central location allowing us to walk everywhere we wanted to see. Comfortable room, nice traditional Italian breakfast downstairs.
