Perfect Staycation hotel for girls night!

Really great stay for the price, its not a new building but very comfy loft vibe. Went out and came back, played billiards and jumbo Jenga in the lobby. Only downside was the remotes do not work. Will not change the channel past the hotels infomercial channel. Staff was amazing tho, i wish i remembered her name at front desk because she had a beautiful spirit!

Oswaldo is the man. Made sure I had everything I needed and the room with a nice view is always amazing

No rooms??

I booked to pay at property and was still charged after I was told there were no rooms available. I spoke to someone else at their corporate location that ensured me they did have rooms at the time of my check in. Really frustrating situation.

The room was nice and so were all of the staff. The galleria is within walking distance.The bar staff were exceptional. The coffee is terrible.

The room had paint chipped in bathroom and was outdated.

There is only 1 microwave that’s kept in the lobby and it’s filthy. They put me way in the 10 floor and in the back, when you get off the elevator it’s such a far walk to get to the room. My room Phone wasn’t working which seems…intentional

Stay was good overall. The parking charges were the onyl thing that I wasn't happy about.

The lamp was broken. There were no extra blankets in the room. There was only a small bar of soap and no body wash. I had to go find someone to come to the front desk after waiting 20 minutes. It was not the experience I expected at all.

Stay away

Horrible, horrible, horrible! I had to switch rooms 3 times due to all the issues at the hotel. HVAC unit not working. Debilitating rooms, shower floor paint coming off the tiles, mattresses sunken in and worn out. TV’s not working

Everything was perfect Only thing I didn’t like their we had to pay $25 a day to park that’s kind of steep.

It was ok. Easy check in and out. But the hotel look like it just had renovations that wasn't that Great.

A water link and repairs were being fixed.

Fire alarm showed false alarm for the whole night. I had to change the room. In addition, house keeping are extremely noisy and talking all the time starting from 8am. And the rooms are noisy too, I can hear what next room said.

Very decent

Every member of the staff at this location was amazing during my weekend day. Being that I’m one of those people that once I find something I like, I stick to it,I definitely will be back here on my next trip to Houston.

Don't Stay Here.

Do not stay here. This hotel is in terrible condition and completely falling apart. The front desk staff is polite and helpful. But they deserve a better desk to work from than that aging slab of whatever they're forced to use now. The rooms aren't much better. There's some slippery film or some kind of lubicrated substance on the wooden floors in my room and I don't recommend walking barefoot. The desk chair (see photos) is HORRIBLE. The plastic has fallen off the arm rests and you'll scratch your skin on them. And I won't speculate on what stained the seat. Oh yea... check out the side table (see photos). Completely rotting away. The TV remote barely works. The AC sounds like it belongs in Nascar engine. The toilet refuses to flush without a healthy dose of wishful thinking. I've been staying at Aloft Hotels for years. But this level of disrespect to guests is unacceptable. UPGRADE AND RENOVATE THIS HOTEL! On the positive, the staff is on point. And there was breakfast available on a holiday so that was good and pretty tasty too. In the meantime, travelers... avoid this place.

Horrible changed rooms twice. Dirty, no phone and smelled. Didn’t stay after 4 hours of horrible experience

The property is extremely run down and not kept . The lobby is misleading of what the rooms actually look like . Structurally it needs work . The room ceilings were crumbling and the painting of the showers doors and crevices are unappealing. Typically Alofts from city to city are good but I was very disappointed with this location .

People outside the room making loud noises/ room is not sound proof. Can hear everything that's is going on in the street and i was on the 8th floor!!

The only positive of this property,the young men at the front desk were helpful and kind. Shame on this hotel for the poor quality rooms, maintenance, and property. My double queen room was ran down, the bed was peeling it's trim. The beds were made up with two different sets of bedding, one without a duvet, just a back up blanket, the showers were rusty and water stained.The AC wasnt working properly at ome point i woke up in full sweat because the air was hot coming from the AC. Thw room had a bad smell of mildew, so i went across the road to Cvs for a air freshner. A few other guest I traveled with had to have their room switched one with no AC just a fan...In Houston? The outside property has so much potential but is not maintained. The patio furniture was dirty and wet, the firepit had garbage in it and never worked. The water fall is rusty and so badly stained not even running water. I'm hugely disappointed in this property and it was my first stay at Aloft, leading me to say Never again

I would stay again.

A little outdated and right next to the road so you could hear all the cars passing. It was just a quick 1 night stay

Alarm alarm alarm

Customer Service was on point. Need to focus on the public bathroom having toilet paper. Also NOT A FUN feeling having the alarm go off and walk down 10 floors for a false alarm (TWICE) middle of the night. Parking is expensive ($25).

The receptionist that works at night is terrible and aggressive . She screamed at me for requesting a soap cause there was no soap in the room and she screamed at me for asking to switch rooms cause the we was not working and did not give me the opportunity to switch the room and move my kids and pick up our stuff the next day since it was 3 am after midnight . Found eye lashes on the floor which mean room was not cleaned , broken tiles scratched floors broken blinded and even the bed linens had stains and cuts . Not a regular Bonvoy hotel .

Property is dated. Safe was broken, old sheets and dirty wallpaper, no hair dryer.

Not the greatest Aloft...Worn and outdated

This Aloft hotel is a bit dated and worn out compared to other Aloft locations we stayed in. For the price per night there are much better choices in the area.

Ice machine, elevators and toilet all broken while k was there. Requested an extra blanket that never came. Staff seemed kind but overwhelmed.

Nice one

I like the location of the property, but I do not like bathrooms that have sliding doors that cannot close and has the bathroom sink outside of the closing doors itself. I probably will not stay at another Aloft location again just because of this. Also, parking is not free and $25 per night... Overall beds were comfortable.

expedia did not pay the property and I spend more than 40 minutes checkin , room door and bath door does not close properly, bad cuality towels

Dirty Hotel

Hotel is disgusting! The elevator had stains all over it. Our room smelled like spoiled milk so we asked for another room and it smelled the same. We didn't have time to switch rooms again as we had an event to get to. Bed had a valley in it and pillows were flat. The shower was nasty, didn't have a shelf to hold your stuff and the way the door opened, it made water spray all over the floor when starting the shower...shower leaked anyway so the floor was getting wet anyway. The toilet seat was loose. Thankfully they weren't busy or we would have had issues in the parking garage. The spots are in groups of 3 with the outside spots up against a pole or barrier. That leaves the middle spot as the only decent spot unless you want to risk messing up your car. All I need in a hotel is cleanliness and a decent bed. This place had neither.

The area is perfect staff is super sweet. My room wasn’t clean floors wheee sticky . But overall really nice area

I did not like that I had to pay $25 a night for parking. I wish I would had known that beforehand because if I did I would have paid the extra a night to stay at my first choice hotel.

Do not stay here!

This aloft location did not meet our expectations. The building interior structure is run down & not well maintained. The elevators make weird clicking noises, which is scary. We placed our dirty towels on the floor & when we came back, the maid had made our bed, but left the dirty towels on the floor & did not leave a lay clean towels. In addition, the A/C in the room did not work properly. The room remained warm our entire stay. The hotel is in Texas! Having a warm room is unacceptable! We will not be staying here at this location again!

Everything is walking distance

The guy checking us in was watching a video on his phone and didn’t even pause it. So since he wasn’t paying attention he sent us to a room with wet towels on the floor and the tv on. I think someone was actually staying there. Very disappointing.

Perfect stay

The staff was very kind nice but the property needs to be updated. The hotel is near the mall and a couple restaurants that was convenient.

The staff were welcoming and helpful. We travel with a large dog and there were easily accessible facilities for her and safe places to take a longer walk when we wanted a little more exercise for her.

The property was not nice did not like the parking at all my big truck had to park on the side of the building right next to the street with no entrance door . Also someone had a dog barking all night we had to move rooms drunk person laying on the bench in hallway a terrible experience!

Great location, but would not stay again. Their was no ice vending machine in the hotel. Lobby locks after hours so hope your key doesn’t fail or you are on time checking in because you can’t get in. Also in the lobby at 9:00 am the staff was vacuuming and asked me to leave the area to vacuum. I thought that was odd.

I love everything about Aloft

Hotel is nice ans trendy. The only thing is the bed comfort is terrible, my husband and i both woke up with hurt backs

The heated pool wasn’t working, the room was very small, you have to pay to park for every night that you stay, you have to pay for breakfast! It just wasn’t what we expected being newlyweds! Our wedding night should have felt better and enjoyable than it was !

If you’re staying for a short time like I was, this property is perfect! The staff is soooo accommodating, huge shout out to David g at the front desk who made check in painless and easy! Get this man a raise!!

Staff was phenomenal from check in to check out. Just need to remodel some areas and get the ice maker fixed. But I commend the staff, mad I didn’t get their names. They made my bday so special!

Rough start

We enjoy staying at Aloft because we are able to bring our pet at no additional cost however the check in for this hotel was rough. I had a broken foot so when it was time to head down to the lobby from parking my vehicle in the garage, the elevators were not working. Apparently the power went down. I couldn’t use the stairs so I had to attempt to walk down the ramp in the garage. When we made it into our room, the pocket door wouldn’t open or close to the bathroom so we didn’t have much privacy there. The service was great. The staff gave us a couple drink tickets for the inconvenience but check in was smoother in the past.

We were locked out of our room for 3 hours 11pm - 2am. We were offered to sit in another room while they fixed the issue. Room was not offered to be comped. All of our stuff we needed was in the locked room. Corporate will be contacted over this issue.

Front desk staff around the clock are very unprofessional and rude, it felt like I was at the DMV.

Check in was super fast. Everyone was very nice, and bartender helped us out with ice for an upcoming outdoor event in 104 deg F temps.

Stay was great but booked room through hotels . Com and it was supposed to be pay on site but they took full payment day before check in then charged again adding parking fee day after check out so I’m am on hold now for manager

Aloft not up to par

Family and I agreed on Aloft Galleria, because we had heard good about this chain. Big mistake !! 1. Ice machine was broke, so I had to constantly get ice from the bar downstairs! 2. Only 1 elevator worked; so the wait from the 7th floor down was grueling!! 3. No phone in the room; they claimed i need to download the app to get room service!!! WHAT ?! 4. Shower door didnt close right, so water got all over the floor! 5. Patched up ceiling above the beds; looked like a kindergarten kid painted and did the dry wall !! Overall , horrible hotel !! Staff wasn't super friendly either ! There are many other nice hotels in the Galleria area ! Stay somewhere else other than Aloft Galleria!!

Nice enough for a weekend stay, but a bit outdated. Hallways were very dark, deadbolt did not work and one of the cleaning crew refused to give an extra towel. For the money, I expected a bit more.
