Was easy to facilitate a late check in and an early check out. Close and convenient to the Main Street. The lodge was clean and tidy. They even went the extra mile and folded the towels into swans and apples. Was a nice little twist.

Good location and price

Too far from Queenstown centre. Very convenient location as Countdown, New World, fuel station very close by.

While the property is dated it had everything we needed and staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

Room was adequate but the windows were in need of repair and half of the lights were not working. The decor was dated and the carpet needs attention.

Service with a smile

A quiet, comfortable and conveniently located motel on the main road next to New World. This is an older style establishment but provides everything needed for a pleasant stay, including a guest laundry. Best of all is the customer service. Would stay there again.

The motel owner was an excellent host, extremely helpful to our crew of people who enjoyed sitting outside in the BBQ area. He assisted with the heaters, lighting and any other issues we had with no fuss and a happy attitude. A very pleasant stay and a lovely motel unit, very clean, tidy and everything you needed.

We were offered 24hr car storage.Amaziing, as the locatily is not to be beaten.

Exceptionally clean and tidy units. (You can see your face in the bathroom floor as it just shines!) I always stay here when in Alexandra because of this.

Was a great place to stay, we were just passing through but had everything we needed

Pleasant, comfortable accommodation. Everything we needed was avaiilable and thete was a supermarket next door. Good garden setting, barbecue, trampoline and pole tennis.

Very disappointed, dirty dishes, tables, benches and settee. Window that could not be locked anyhow, fixed by owner straight away. Old hot water radiators for the cold nights in Alexandra, they didn’t come on during the first night until we were ready to leave in the morning, it was 5 degrees outside with single glazed windows in the unit. Next night the radiators came on at 4pm, then off at 10 pm and then banged for an hour while they cooled down and were contracting. Difficult to sleep. Radiators are controlled by owner. Good electric heater in unit. No soundproofing between units. Two windows were left wide open after servicing was done, we were not there but all our gear was still in the unit. After two weeks in South Island in Motels this was the most expensive but most disappointing. Will not be back.

Just what i needed

Had a great stay. Room was good. Bed was good. Shower was good. All round good. Friendliest hotel staff I’ve ever come across. Accidentally left some adult beverages in Thebes fridge but I think the management deserve them more than me

Well located

Clean and spacious with excellent amenities. A bedroom separate to the lounge area made it ideal to not disturb a sleeping partner.

Very spacious two bedroom unit next to a New World supermarket. Easy to find on the main road in from Queenstown. Sky television an added bonus.

Tried to plug in electric blanket but cord would not reach socket ... turned out did not need after all as we were very cosy. Otherwise very good.

My wife enjoyed a very pleasant stay at The Alexandra Motor Lodge. Our room was spacious with all the facilities we needed.Staff were very friendly and we would definitely stay again.

Good value

Overal experience was very good. Friendly and laid back reception, easy parking and access to units. The units are looking a little tired but everything else, comfort, warmth, cleanliness was great. Overall the experience was good for the price. Staff very friendly.
