A truly great place to stay

This is such an amazing place to stay at. Glen and the team make you feel so at home and nothing is too much trouble - even waiting for me to check in at 22:00! Breakfasts are wonderful! Rooms are large and open. Beds are very comfy! Will definitely be back.

Must stay place in Somerset West

What a wonderful place to stay. Everyone was so helpful and the breakfast was fantastic.

It's a lovely setting. The rooms are spacious and love the tranquility

We only stayed overnight checking in 2100 and leaving 0900 but would have no hesitation in booking again.

Nice

Right from checkin everything was great. As it was a business trip I needed to check in late (after 6pm) and when I rang and asked they told me I can check in any time until 10:30pm The room was clean and everything working and well maintained

Delightful

Superb guest house with excellent friendly service. Lovely spacious rooms - shower water tended to run out every time. Beautiful fire going every night. I would have loved a nice mug in the room for tea and a jug of fresh milk instead of UHT sachets.

What a friendly group of people! Great service, professional, and efficient. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings, and a well maintained old manor house.

A Real Gem

From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed, we could not have been happier with the welcome, the hospitality, the helpfulness, overall service and the friendliness of Glen, the Manager, Audrey his very capable deputy and all the staff at the Albourne Boutique Guest House. If you want somewhere to stay that provides easy access to Cape Town (about 45 minutes drive outside of rush hour traffic); Chapman's Peak along the southern peninsula (about 1 hour); Hermanus Bay (about 1 to 2 hours depending on whether you take the pass or the coast road; and the Winelands (on the doorstep), then the ABGH is the place to stay. Certainly, when we return, we will be doing our best to stay there.

Lovely hotel.

Brilliant hotel close to the airport so excellent for an overnight or longer stay, we only booked for one night but would book for longer as and when we return to Cape Town.

A gem

Beautiful spot, ideally located in lovely gardens. The staff went out of their way to make us welcome and the breakfast spread was lovely. Really couldn't fault it and will definitely go back!

A great guest house!

My stay at Albourne Guest Lodge was great. Everyone at the hotel is very friendly, and they go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. I must commend the breakfast. You are offered both a hot and cold breakfast, and both are of the highest standard. The only issue I had was that my room was crawling with ants. The bathroom was overrun with ants (around the basin and bath tub). There were also ants all over (and inside of) my bed. It made my stay a little uncomfortable. I'm sorry to mention this Albourne, but I have no doubt that you will resolve this in no time to ensure that Albourne remains the 5 star establishment that it should be.

A delightful boutique hotel

Stayed here late early January 2016. Purpose of visit was to watch the Test Match SA v England at Newlands. Hotel well above my expectations. Guest house is perhaps a misnomer as, for residents of the UK, it conjures up images of slightly shabby B&B accommodation which I have suffered on occasion, believe you me.. The setting is superb with a beautiful garden and pool, an ideal place in which to relax. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient, a really nice group. Breakfasts were delicious. My accommodation was second to none; spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Although located in Somerset West, a very nice place in its own right, Cape Town is readily accessible via the excellent highway network but you do need a car.

Tolles Boutique-Hotel, eine absolute Empfehlung. Sehr sauber, ruhig und bestens ausgestattet. Hervorzuheben ist das Frühstück und die Bar. Das Personal tut alles, damit man einen schönen Aufenthalt hat. Wir werden wieder kommen!

Glenn dom äger stället är super trevlig och så är all personal också😊 Frukosten jätte bra mycket att välja på. Läget väldigt bra för restauranger, vinprovning golf eller bad på stranden.

A fantastic stay

We had a fantastic stay at Albourne Guesthouse! Audrey & Glen and their fantastic staff made our stay to something special. Their hospitality, always a smile, nothing was impossible, always there to help or share their experience or good advice. They really take care of their guests. We had fantastic breakfast and could also choose from different hot dishes and they were always there to serve an extra cup of coffee. The fantastic beautiful garden with flowers, birds and a nice pool. Imagine sitting out in the beautiful patio under the bougainvillea and just enjoy your breakfast.. And you could have extra coffe during the day and or all of a sudden you just found a bottle of water beside you by the pool. There were an "Honest Bar" to use as well. We will be back!!

Quiet retreat in wineland

We booked the Albourne for a couple of nights before this year's Wines2Whales MTB race purely because it was the nearesrt to the start at Lourensford winery. Little did I realise what a treat we were in for. After a long journey the quiet of the beautifully kept garden and pool were just what we needed to relax in. The rooms are comforable and clean and have all you need to make yourself home form home. Last but not least the mamnager Glen Stead was fantastic at looking after us, making us fele welcome and making dinner reservations for us the did not disappoint. Also incredibly good value for money. We'll be back!

Eine Perle in Somerset West

Wir hatten nur für ein Nacht eingebucht. Aber Glen, unser Gastgeber, hat uns durch seine sympatische Art und dem guten, persönlichen Service überzeugt. Wir haben sogar ein üppigen Sandwich free of charge erhalten sowie Begrüßungsdrinks. Die Zimmer sind groß, mit separater Küche und dem notwendigen Equipment. Das gesamte Grundstück ist gepflegt, verfügt über einen Pool und einen schönen Garten mit vielen Blumen. Also viel Gegenwert für´s Geld. Wer Südafrika kennt, weiß, dass man normalerweise in punkto Service Abstriche machen muß. Aber hier nicht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Zur Morgensonne hin gelegen

Ganz wunderbar. Frühstück vorzüglich. Garagentor schliesst etwas flott, also hurtig hineinfahren.
