Incredible stay

An amazing stay! The hotel is just a short walking distance to the Haram through Gate 1, making it perfect for Umrah. The beds were incredibly comfortable and provided a truly relaxing rest after long days of worship. Excellent service and a peaceful atmosphere. We will definitely return!

This was a gem of a hotel! It was our first time booking in Makkah and it was a fantastic location. It was right next to the clock tower to access and the internal lift made such a difference. The stay was so comfortable with shops in such close proximity. Would stay here again

Near haram but Azam speaker in rooms not working overall amazing hotel

The proximity to the Masjid Al Haram was the highlight, just mere minutes walk to the King Abdulaziz gate. The lovely stay and friendly staff were the cherry on top. Would definitely recommend.

The staff was so cooperative, friendly and had excellent communication with me while I arranged my mother’s stay (she was traveling alone for Umrah). They provided her early check in, upgraded her room, and VERY easily arranged for pick up and drop off in a luxury private car for a great price (which I was able to pay sitting at home via payment link). I felt better knowing my mom is in responsible respectable hands, and she felt confident that she knew what was happening at every step. I can’t wait to stay at Al Ghafran my self when we visit Makkah for Umrah/Hajj In Sha Allah.

This is one of the best and neat, clean hotels located in Al Safwah Towers. This is very convenient and close to the Madjid Al Haram. The dinning is good. The staffs are very cooperative. One of the very good things are the lifts. You can get the lifts instantly. I would recommend to select your trips to choose this hotel.

Literally on the doorstep of Haram, just walk out the tower and you are there. Cheap and lot of food options on the floor under the reception. Just a bit on the expensive side but staff, location and facilities are excellent.

Fast and easy access to Haram

We stayed here for Umrah. It is so much better than staying in Clock Tower. It is still walking distance to Haram. We were usually able to get into Haram in 5 minutes from our hotel room

Only one flaw

Everything was amazing, however somehow they allowed a neighboring guest smoke during our stay, whose smoke would enter our room. We were on the non smoking section/floor. I have asthma so not very ideal.

I did pay extra money on Expedia for the Al-Harm View.I got surprise the whole hotel was not on the Al-Haram view.I lost my money in this hotel

Great Experience!

Next to Kaaba haram. very convenient

The hotel was really close to Masjid Al-Haraam but the room that we got had a wall dead in the middle making the room suffocating. The rooms had dust and caused my allergies to start up. I would suggest getting a cleaner hotel and walk the extra minute or two to the Haraam.

5 Star Rate for a 3 Star Hotel

Very basic hotel. We were offered an upgrade to Royal Orchid Hotel only to realize the the room look and feel is different and inferior to Ghufran Safwa as well as a poorer rating on Hotels.com! Looks like it was more of a downgrade. The hotel building entrance is very very crowded and narrow and full of shops which does not give a feel of a 5 stars Hotel. In general, paid a 5 star rate for a 3- star Hotel and would not repeat it again.

Excellent 5 star hotel. Everything spot on

One of the best hotels in Makkah. Very spacious and comfortable room and excellent service by all staff. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels and this was one of best similar to Conrad. Right on the top floor of the safwa towers shopping centre and food court.

excellent food

The only issue with the hotel is that hotel don't have entrance gate. You have get out from your taxi from a busy street and then you have walk through a bazaar market and then you will find a hotel. So if you have big luggage then you have no porter support till you get inside the market. Its confusing. Hotel must do a good job with that.

Clean hotel

First time at this property in the Safwah tower block, would definitely recommend and come again In shaa'Allah. Thank you to all the staff there for a memorable stay.

It was ok what bothers me I didn’t even see a room cleaner in the corridor I received also a message saying we apologize but there’s no morning buffet I called the reception they confirmed and in the morning I realized by mistake the restaurant is opened for a morning breakfast 🤔😟

Hidden gem of a hotel. 10/10

Very clean, very comfortable beds, good water pressure, clean toilets, strong AC, multi-lingual and courteous staff, and 2 min walk to haram entrance. Thats more than enough positives for anyone visting Makkah.

Comfortable one-night stay

Our stay was a short one but it was nice. The professional staff are welcoming and courteous. They do charge a bit more because of their location. The room we got is spacious and clean. Comfortable beds for quality sleep.

The hotel was in the safwa tower which had a variety of food and shopping available and we didn’t really need to leave the tower. It was close to the masjid which was great with my kids. I was a little disappointed I didn’t get my view room as requested. It was really hard to communicate as staff do not speak English very well apart from the odd view members. Overall it was a great stay.

This is our one of worst experience ever. Some of the staff is adamant and helpless. Front desk staff lack experience, he insisted I booked using a mastercard where as my reciept clearly says visa and I dont have mastercard. then he says "no problem". Asked we have some baby food can someone heat it for us. He says its no good throw away. seriously!! Rooms seriously lack hygiene, shower does not drain water and in 2 mins you are standing in your own mess !! Wait 2 mins for it to drain and then start again. In entire room just one US compatible plus and that too does not work. But I found a way to make it work. plug in and give it a gentle shake to find its nerve, then gently slide the wire under table lamp so that It stays that position. The breakfast is just "horrendous". Actually, may be this is how Saudi eat breakfast these days. 99% carbs like chinese rice, lentils, lentils, fried tomatoes and Daal. Man, our road side motels serve better breakfast. I should thank one Gentleman , Asif I think his name was, was trying his level best to help us but as guess nothing he could have done! The only positive point of this hotel is access to Haram and inside mosque. but there are very good hotels at almost or even better proximity to haram. No Next time for me in this terrible hotel.

Memorable experience

Nice hotel and wonderful stay. A double bed instead of two single beds for me and my wife would have added to the overall pleasure of staying at this 5-star facility. Elaborate, varied fare at breakfast. However, just wondering how the total bill for two nights showed by the hotel to me was much less than the amount I had to pay Expedia.

Breakfast Menu should be revisited

The Breakfast spread needs to have Taste of all types of travellers. No fruits, No choice for Asian Travellers.

My stay was not comfortable. I think it's better to book with known hotel chain better than to book with local hotels. It can not be a 5 star hotel.

Hotel told me clearly can accoumdate child but not responsble for where to sleep ? How ever every thing els was ok but even in room sofa bed you can not use and i have to let my son on floor sham on them

If was our first time staying here, for Umrah purposes. Absolutely Loved it!!!! wifi is really fast. Room service is good. Breakfast options are good. Going to the Al-Haram is convenient and fast 2-3 minute walk. Overall, such a great experience! I miss it

Hotel reception located on first floor. No any hotel sign board out side hotel. Ask the people's then find lift for go to reception.

It was a short walk from masjid, but at back of the buildings, so a bit of a longer walk than the map indicates. Service is average, not worth staying here if you pay more than GBP 85 per night for a double room
