Enjoyable stay
Lovely spacious rooms very clean. Very friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was good with freshly made omelets and a good selection of hot and cold breakfasts. Comfortable size balcony.
The staff is rude and exploitative in nature!
Nice location, bit of an uphill walk to local bus stop, regular busses for 1.50 Euros into town or up to Coral bay, also shuttle bus available am & pm from Hotel to Harbour / town Car hire a good option here as a bit out the town. Food good, all inclusive food and drinks make it good value. Would go back again.
nice view
We had a lovely room with a sea view, nice staff. Nice breakfast just down to the sea uncomfortable, we were looking for another beach
We would stay there again. Meggy and her staff were very friendly and very helpful with sorting food for my daughter-in-law. The hotel has a calm feel but has day time and evening entertainment.
Lovely stay
Lovely accommodation and location, recommended
Perfect
Perfect stay for families
A pleasant stay near Paphos
The pool area is really nice, the food is good and there are a lot of options to choose from. There is a big parking in front of the hotel. The rooms are big, but too simple. The beds like in the army and the air conditioner produces more noise than cold. In total it was a good value for money and we had a nice vacation at all.
Lovely hotel with friendly staff
Lovely hotel that’s just had a new upper extension built with stunning modern new rooms. My partner and I were lucky enough to be upgraded to a sea view room on the top floor. Room was very comfortable and the view was perfect to watch the sunset every night. Hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. I would recommend hiring a car so you are able to get around freely. The roads of Cyprus are very straight forward with Pafos only a few minutes drive away. We had breakfast included in our stay as we were always out exploring the island and eating out in the evening. I would recommend this hotel for couples and familys and would happily stay here again in the future.
Surprisingly good when considering the price and competitors in the area. Recommendable !! Even not considering price I'd still call it very good. Still, allow me one com.: The WiFi connection in the room was not very good, can the system be improved ?
Perfect for a week of peace and relaxation
The hotel was spotless and the staff were so friendly and helpful in every way. From the minute we arrived to when we left, the reception, bar staff and waiters were all so friendly. It was a perfect stay for a week of peach and relaxation, the only thing for those that want to be near the bars, its a taxi (10 Euros) or bus (1.5 Euros) away. You can take the coastal walk, which is nice and can take about 40 minutes to the harbor.
Good overnight
we stayed for 3 nights. Rooms are very good and clean. Reception seemed to be nice but not. They didn't explain anything, when leaving didn't pay attention to us, just took the key - not asking anything. For staff is not acceptable to discuss their guests among these guests - as the last one might understand their language. Pool are is nice - but sometimes dirty coz of dirty guests. beach area - as in all Paphos is not good but very beautiful. It is good to have a car - as hotel is a bit far from the main road with buses. In general it is good place to stay for overnight, with family or with friends for fun.
Nice place
Good hotel, all staff were so helpful and made your stay very enjoyable. Good family hotel. Nighttime entertainment really good, something for everyone.
Brilliant location
Great experience! Would go back again! Staff were friendly and helpful, food was changed everyday. Very clean and a great location in between the harbour and coral beach.. two amazing locations!
Amazing staff and great value for money
Great budget holiday, lovely hotel. Pool area was lovely, and lots of lovely food and drinks on offer. Staff very accommodating. Lots of games and entertainment.
Average Hotel,
Average hotel yes close to the sea but no beach to speak of. The food was average at best with all buffet food, staff were friendly, rooms were spacious but basic and the evening entertainment very average with the same singer just a different wig.
Nice hotel, clean and staff were friendly
The staff were so friendly and helpful, the resort was beautiful and clean and I would definitely recommend Akti beach, even thinking of returning myself!
On Rocky beach
Lovely- waiting staff could not fault them. Housekeeping needs seeing to as our beds were only made once. Food was ok not a huge selection especially if you are vegetarian. Not 4* as advertised but ok for a cheap holiday. Shame about the rude Russian guests but the staff knew how to deal with them. Overall nice hotel but I would not go back.
Short Stay Review
Staff were really helpful and accomodating but the rooms were tired and in need of upgrade. The bed was really hard and the pillows had a funny smell. I would also say the "Spa" is very tired and in need of upgrade
Lovely friendly staff
We were well looked after and all staff were attentive to our needs. Beautiful location right by the sea. Food was amazing
Relaxed holiday!
It was a very relaxed vacation! The hotel is close to everything. The staff are amazing. The view is fantastic!
Did exactly what it said on the tin
Only stayed for one night and was more than adequate food was ok, nothing special but did the job.
Okay for somewhere to lay your head but that's it
This hotel in my opinion does not deserve 4 star status ! although staff very friendly the other facilities are not appealing at all Breakfast supposedly hot food always cold not even an omelette chef ? which most 4 star hotels have these days Room was very spacious however the cleanness was not up to 3 star standard let alone 4! towels were thread bare balcony floor never cleaned balcony table looked like a base for engine parts ! filthy! skirting boards covered n dust! If you stay here make sure you get the cheapest deal possible as I did thank goodness.
The hotel was a great place to be if you are looking to remain within the resort and enjoy their facilities including their bar and pool. For those looking to experience more of the area and culture, the resort was in more of a remote location. Car would be highly recommended as the amenities and cafes/restaurants are not within walking distance.
Nice hotel. Good facilities.
Lovely time relaxing here. If not all inclusive, need to get a taxi to main paphos town but not expensive. Would go back.
A very pleasant hotel
We made a late booking for the last week of the season at this hotel and were pleasantly surprised at how lovely the place was. The staff were very friendly and always responded to and resolved queries immediately. The food was delicious and the restaurant clean too. Would definitely return.
Nice hotel close to the beach.
Polite and helpfull staff that could not do enough for you.
Excellent hotel
Great stay sometimes a bit noisy, walls very thin & room service trolleys rattling about all times of day
Great place to relax
Akti beach was a great place to stay for pure relaxation. It had a great pool area leading directly to the ocean. The view was fantastic. The little swimming cove was a great way to cool off from the heat. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The activity coordinator Roxanna was amazing and organized yoga, table tennis and so many other sports during the day. The only downfall was the hard beds. Otherwise excellent place to stay and great value for your money.
Atrocious food
The pictures of this hotel are very misleading. It is not possible to walk straight onto the beach as there are lots of black rocks and gunk from the building site next door. There are no restaurants nearby and the bus-stop is a fifteen minute walk away. Awful smell of mold in the rooms, and nubby sheets which need replacing. The breakfast was inedible - the eggs were like rubber, the tinned peaches were off. It is very substandard.
Just say no!
No room available on arrival - had to change hotel for night mid day and return following mid day. Breakfast poor. Worse was the wake-up call at 7am everyday as significant building work with 30 yards of room, this went on until 6pm everyday! 25 minute walk to eat anywhere decent. Rooms need updating, thought we were back to the 80's - slightly stale smell. On the positive staff were excellent and pools nice.
Good all rounder....
Great hotel, friendly staff and good value for the money.
Nice place
Nice place for a holiday. A bit out of paphos and is just over an hour to walk to the centre there is a bus but is a 10-15min walk away. Breakfast was excellent
Akti Beach - All inclusive
A lovely hotel in fairness, the staff were wonderful and very helpful. The rooms were huge yet basic, although it had everything you needed to function as a self contained unit. Food was fine and varied with plenty of snacks if all AI. The grounds are lovely and well maintained, very relaxing atmosphere apart from a huge hotel being built next door which could be distracting if you let it be, look inside the grounds and its fine. The hotel could erect some green netting behind the palm trees to screen off the building site then you wouldn't notice as much. As AI you would expect continuous use of the facilities to be allowed i.e the Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. One go in each maximum, silly! We had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed the complex.
Good hotel for a family
It was ok. Checkin was easy and breakfast and dinner on our half board was very good. But rooms and the indoor pool were not very clean. Lovely outdoor pools with a great sea view but unfortunately we could not use it at this time of the year. Staff were very friendly. Plenty of parking space if you are driving and I would definitely recommend renting a car as this place is outside the city.
Good family based hotel with a resort setting
Very helpful hotel staff. Would visit again for sure.
Short break for couple
Stayed for 5 nights in the hotel for a short break with my fiancée, we wanted somewhere quiet and out of town so we could relax. Staff were friendly and room was pleasant, clean and suited us well. Breakfast felt a little mass produced but was fine. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant except for breakfast. Used the self catering facilities to make ourselves a meal to eat on the balcony - very adequate facilities provided and lovely quiet relaxing evening eating it on our balcony. We didn't swim in the pool but enjoyed swims in the small bay area nearby. Didn't use the sunbeds as we prefer to explore. Shop on sites well stocked and very friendly staff. The bus service near by is very regular during the day dropping to every 30 mins at night - really cheap way to get around. Would recommend the Alicelands restaurant at the top of the track - quiet but lovely food and service. One minor complaint - the euro pop playing at 10am each morning was a little off putting for those looking to have a quiet read on the balcony. All in all a relaxing stay - just what we were after.
Decent hotel off the coast
Pros: Close to sea, good tanning areas, large pool, large rooms, clean rooms, nice staff.....Cons: many kids, inconvenient getting to the bus, expensive food if not on all-inclusive package, uncomfortable beds, unreliable advice about tourism from staff. Overall our experience at the hotel was good. It served as a good place to stay after a long day in the sun, would have been better without all the kids and if it was easier to get into Paphos.
was really nice and cozy, wish that the hotel changes the mattresses which were not comfortable and too hard.a better cleaning of the bath would be great, did not enjoy the stains around the bath tub .over all, it was a nice stay
Good Hotel to use as a base
Only booked room only, so cannot comment on the food. We used the hotel as a base whilst on holiday and for this the hotel was perfectly ok. Only slight disappointment was that the bathroom needed a bit of updating.
Ok for the money
This hotel is situated 3-4 miles outside of the main town area and you will need to get a car if you want to get in when ever you want or to explore the island. That said there is a regular bus service the 615 on the mainroad which is about a 10-15 minute walk. You can walk to paphos from the hotel along the coastal path which willtake you between 1 to 11/2 hours. The staff were great and the beds comfortable. The hotel is on the coast and the views and sunsets are great, cyprus does not have much inthe way of sandy beachs and generally they are very stoney and rocky. The beach at this hotel is very small but you can get inthe water which is very clear.
A lovely week at Akti beach
We have just come back from a week at Akti Beach near Paphos. This was our first holiday in Cyprus, both of us have Cypriot friends and we are in our late 50's and fortunately active. The staff from reception to cleaners were friendly, the cleanliness first class. Possibly the start of the season, a lot of painting had obviously been done, new bedding and kitchen utensils. It was too far to walk to Paphos Centre but we dont like crowds and it was a nice walk (uphill) to the bus stop which run about every 15 minutes. For 3 euros you can get a day ticket and use it within the town area which is nice if you want to see the old town, Coral Bay and generally jump on to Lidl's and back. The complex had two nice adult outdoor swimming pools which were well kept. We did go self catering and ate out early evenings in Paphos, going back to the hotel about 8 still on our bus ticket .The room had all the facilities we wanted, oven, rings, microwave, toaster, fridge, heater & air conditioning and a small supermarket was on site. Right on the beach front, so a lovely view as you are sunbathing and we would go again as we got value for money
Akti Beach - clean and tidy
Just back from a week at the Akti beach, travelled in a couple with a 50th Birthday while we were there. The hotel presented us with a half bottle of red and some fruit which was a nice touch. I cannot fault this place, except to say the beds are quite hard, but it didn't stop us sleeping. Stayed in February 2012. The indoor pool is great and I made good use of it as the outdoor ones were a bit on the chilly side. The bus stop is nearby if you want to explore. We would go back here with no hesitation. Room was spotless and cleaned daily, no pest of any kind in the room or outside it.
Akti Beach
This hotel is VERY difficult to find find particularly if arriving after a long drive late at night from Larnaca airport.Even other hotels in the area that we stopped at didn't seem to know where it was. In fairness the porter did stay up for us which was great. The room was bitterly cold and had no spare blankets . The pillows were dirty eg greecy and had old hair on them. Had to turn on small oven to warm the room!
Would recommend to friends!
Brilliant!
In the middle
Akti beach resort is in the between Pathos & Coral Beech areas, 6 km each way. The local buses at 2 Euro for the day are very handy and during the daytime the location is great able to get anywhere. At night unless you have a car, or use taxis as you are a bit stuck where you are, which although great, we would prefer to go to diffrent places each night. We had a great chalet, with 2 balconies, however looking round not all chalets seemed as good. The swimming pools were great, with one next to the shop being suitable for lane swimming. Entertainment was on during the day & evening if you wanted to join in. Would we go again? Maybe, same time of year in five years time, there's a lot of world to see.
Excellent ho,iday!!
The Akti Beach hotel more than lived up to our expectations. We arrived late and immediately given the key to our room and told we could check in the next morning. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time by the pool and to be able to get down to the sea was an added bonus. The surrounding area has plenty of restaurants and things to keep the family occupied. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to all travellers but especially to families.
Great location and value in Pafos, Cyprus
The Akti Beach was beautifully located on a quiet beach near the Tombs of the Kings in Pafos. The hotel had 2 pools, lovely grounds, a great breakfast buffet, and lots of lounge chairs with great ocean views. Room was simply decorated, tile floors, balcony, and small kitchenette. While we did not use the kitchen, it would have been nice for a longer stay. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was very quiet and away from the center of town. We had a car, so this was not a problem for us, but would be a problem without a car. Great value for the price we paid.
A brilliant holiday!!
This is a great resort, excellent value for money. Ideal for couples as well as families. A very good selection at breakfast. The pool very relaxing and clean. the animation programme is varied and good selection of activities. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. A hire car is recommended as its a bit of a walk to the buses, which are very regular and take you into Paphos or Coral Bay. A brilliant holiday.

Excellent stay
Our stay was fantastic: this was a truly pleasant all-inclusive hotel. We were issued wristbands to identify us to staff and had more food/drink than we needed the entire time. The room was spacious, the beds very comfy and the shower easy to work. There were two large outside pools that were freezing cold (very pleasant for countering the heat) and one inside pool that was a little warmer. There's not exactly much of a beach nearby, but you are essentially on the seafront at the hotel. The staff were all very kind and accomodating. The selection of cocktails was excellent!
