Fire pits are a nice touch.
The hotel has been set up as a retro inn. The rooms were small but clean and well maintained. The continental breakfast was good even though there weren't a lot of options. Overall, a nice visit.
Cute, but no thanks!!!
The other reviews all said, cute, clean and friendly. They were right. However, the heaters in the rooms are VERY loud and ww has to have ours on all night, or we were cold. It was about 60 degrees (max) in the room when we arrived so it took till about 7 a.m. the next morning to warm everything up. Thw windows are a single pce of glass so you hear everything outside. I told my wife it wasn't a good place to sleep, just a secure place to rest. We got very little sleep. Breakfast in the morning was horrible. Went at 8:45 and there was 0 fruit left, no bread for toast. Basically bad coffee and unhealthy carbs. Half a cup of hot water and the owner wouldn't even get more water for the tea. Next time I'd rather spend more money and stay elsewhere. Fyi, hot tub is not on the property!!
Small, parking was good and price was good. The room condition was kind of poor, but only because its old and outdated. If you're looking for something cheap and dont mind sacrificing amenities, it's a good choice.
Retro.
We loved the family unit. It was perfect for our stay.
Friendly staff, good restaurants around the area. Outside is jaur ok, but the rooms are good (for ehat youre paying). Overall it was good, I would recommended
great staff
It-s ok for rhe price However, their AC unit fans are not adjustable, constantly blows air loudly.
Excellent place to stay. Clean and has a retro vibe. Great food options nearby. All major national parks nearby and easily accessible.
Clean and cozy for our one night stay.
Cheap and clean. Bare bones- no microwave, housekeeping only on request, no on site hit tub or pool had to use next door hotels, no eating area for breakfast, tub plug didn’t work. Cute retro theme, clean, newer interior, pet friendly, outdoor fire pits.
Quiet and clean place to stay! Loved the downtown location. Easy to walk and visit the Main Street and tourist bureau.
Good Basic Motel
Clean room, comfortable beds, quiet in the rooms even with people on both sides. It's not posh or full of amenities, but it provided what we needed for a good nights sleep. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was basic cereal, fruit and pastries but all fresh. My only real complaint was there wasn't a good place to put clothes in the bathroom to dress after a shower (no extra shelves or hooks) but that is a pretty minor issue.
Really clean
Such an adorable updated 1950’s motel Great location right beside shops and dining Checked out some local hikes and hung out Room was comfortable and clean Staff were friendly and helpful A Hope to stay here again!
It's a great place for a few nights.
Cute place. We like their family suite. We get two bedrooms and a living room. Each has a queen bed and a small tv. They are decent priced. The office isn't always open, but they have sister hotel (Best Western) just a few minutes walk down the sidewalk. The breakfast isn't the best. It's more of a morning snack. The staff is very helpful.
This hotel is severely overpriced for what it is. When I arrived, there was no heat in the room so they moved me to another room. There was no working TV or cable in any of the rooms either. The hotel overall is extremely dated and not particularly well maintained. Price should have been at least half of what it was per night.
I love the retro decor of this quaint inn. It is located on main Street. This made walking for food or shopping easy.
Really and rarely cute and clean motel. We were very satisfied. I appreciated the personalized note from the housekeeper and the toiletries.
Arrived late got our key room from Best Western and had full breakfast the next morning excellent property for its age
Staff were friendly. Very nice breakfast. The only inconvenient thing was we had to go to the Best Western to check in,but the weather was good so it was fine to do that.
Older , but upgraded well. Had a retro vibe we liked. Excellent breakfast
Very clean, friendly reception, good breakfast.
Please look into double charging me. As the reservation was already payed through expedia. Thank you
Great retro decor
Clean, quiet, convenient stop in Kanab. Walkable to the whole business district. Comfortable, with cool 50s decor.
Place was great but we had to go a block away to a best western twice to get a key card that worked and then again to best western for the breakfast
Nice clean retro style motel.
Wonderful '50s vibe in decor.
Nice place with walking distance to many local shops and dining
Rooms have a retro decor which we liked. However some maintenance, like making sure door fits properly and doesn’t have gaps, is in order. Outside the fire pits are inviting, and pet area is clean and maintained. What we really didn’t like is arriving at 7PM to find front office closed. A note on door directed us to the “sister property” down street to check in. Not far but when you’ve traveled/hiked all day, have a hot takeout pizza in car along with a pup who desperately needs out of car, a courtesy heads-up would be appreciated. Same thing in morning. You go to other hotel for breakfast. We drove there, but had to leave a person in car with air conditioning running for our dog. Checkout was at sister property, too. We were told that the manager at Aiken’s needs some days off…well, there were 3 women working desk at this Best Western. You really couldn’t send one over to Aiken’s? Property should be up-front in their description.
Would recommend Aiken's Lodge
It was very clean and everyone was very helpful. With everyone having extra electronic devices it was very handy to have extra plugins on both sides of the headboard. Would stay here again.
Great value, comfortable!
1 night stay on a longer trip, room was cute, water pressure was adequate with nice hot water. Bed was comfortable. Dreamcast was served at sister hotel down the street. The price was very good, I would recommend this hotel for an overnight stay.
Rooms were nice and clean. Had to check in at the Best Western down the street, which was weird. Also pretty thin walls. But clean rooms, very comfy beds, and free breakfast at the Best Western. Will definitely stay here again!
This property exceeded expectations. The staff were extremely friendly, the hot breakfast had a lot of variety, and the rooms were clean and spacious.
Vintage motel with lots of charm
Cute family room with three full-size beds even though the website stated twin beds. Walking distance to restaurants and cafés. Historical sites, lots of hiking, beautiful scenery, and nice people. Vintage motel with lots of charm and comfortable beds!
An older property, but well maintained, clean quiet room. Pet friendly!
This motel had the cute retro vibes you associate with roadtripoing the US, but it was all new and still shared amenities with the best western next door (so really high quality breakfast). Highly recommend.
Thank you everyone very amazing fun little motel
Easy walking distance. Good room size
.
Best value in Kanab
Best hidden gem in Kanab. We've been traveling through the area for the last 10 years and always stay at Aiken's Lodge. Haven't been disappointed. A bid dated, but always clean and comfortable. Breakfast at the Best Western a block away, as well as access to their exercise facility is a nice bonus.
Loved the city of Kanab and it was our base location for national parks and monuments in the region. Quaint, updated motel with several units with more than one bedroom. Nice to have the extra space. Staff very helpful, but limited on site time. Support always available, as well as a nice breakfast at the sister hotel half a block away. Lots of movies made in this town and there is information as you walk about various actors. Air conditioners in room could use replaced…not very efficient. Decorations in the 50’s style (although new)
Property was not what i expected from posting, really deceiving. Room was really small and bathroom even smaller. I would not recommend nor stay here againl. The area however and town was lovely. Checking in at the orher property was easy.
This motel is super cute. Clean, except I could smell dust near my corner of the bed, but this is the desert. Upon check in we had to walk to the other hotel nearby to check in as Aikens didn’t seem to be staffed. Breakfast was also at the next door hotel as well, minor inconvenience but weather was great and breakfast was too so no big deal just kind of odd. Parking right outside the door was convenient. I’d stay here again.
We would stay here again, especially for thier rates if you book substantially in advance. In the heart of town, great location. Room was dated but decorated nicely and was very clean. Recomment getting a top floor room.
Great little stopover place.
Very clean. Very roomy. There was a mini fridge and coffee maker, but no microwave. The toilet leaked and the knobs in the shower were loose. The manager was only available from 3-9 pm. If a problem came up, we were told to call the Best Western down the street.
Great location with possibilities.
I really wanted to support a local family owned motel in Kanab and so I chose Aiken's Lodge. At no fault of their own, the owners had to leave town and couldn't find staffing to run the front office. We arrived late in the evening to find a note one door to walk a few blocks down to the Best Western to check in. No problem, but concerning at first. It's obvious the rooms have been updated with new carpet and furniture, and updated bathrooms. However, the shower was still vintage 50's or 60's which was dissapointing. The AC unit struggled throughout, and was loud, and probably needs to be retired. As a way to earn extra income for the property, a food truck was parked an in business next to the classic truck. It seemed out of place. The location on the main street through town is perfect and allowed for walking to various shops and restaurants. Loved that! Finally, if the owners could find a way to create a public gathering event each evening - perhaps around the pool or the unused fire pits, it would have made for a much more festive atmosphere for guests to meet one another and share stories about their adventures in the area.
Very comfortable 50’s-ish motel/motor inn.
Clean property
Attention to detail clean, neat, coffee, coffee maker, hair dryer, soaps shampoo, quaint like new.
I did not even check in for my room because they did not have late check in available, and i was still charged the full price for the room. I got into the city at 11:30pm and attempted to go to the property to check in, however it said it was closed. I do not suggest this place if you need a late check in after 3pm because they are not open. Thank you.
We loved the 70's type motel , beds great, room great size. Needs a good maker over .
I loved this little 50’s style court motel. Everything was clean updated and comfortable. The room was spacious and parking was right at the door. They had a beautiful pool with lights overhead at night. The pool had toys and towels for guests. There were fire pits, grills and even a food truck on the premises. All so nicely decorated and well thought out. The little town was also cute and well lit with so many little stores and restaurants around. I hate we were only there one day. I would have loved to stay longer.
Stay here often. Friendly staff, very clean rooms.
Lovely spot. Great decor too.
Great value, spacious room and everything was renovated tastefully and well done. Table and chairs in front of the room to enjoy the evening was a plus.
Not bad for budget
Great little boutique hotel in the middle of Kanab. Close to shopping and dining. Small rooms but were clean and well maintained.
Na
Though the property was basic it was clean and the staff was friendly.
They were so kind and let us check in almost 3 hours earlier. That got us the time to get rest in comfort after active mirning.
Stay at the Best Western instead
Arrived to find sign on office saying that check-in was at The Best Western up the road, and breakfast was also there, and extra towels? Well you had to go to Best Western for them too. Perhaps we should have stayed there instead? The other kicker was that the great price advertised on Hotels.com was for one person occupancy! I was charged 3x the extra occupancy rate for the other 3 members of my family despite this being a two bed roomed ‘family room’! It wasn’t a good deal at all after that, particularly with the inconvenience of having to go to the Best Western for everything! The phone in the room didn’t work, the people upstairs sounded like a herd of elephants when they walked, the air conditioning units were old and noisy, the blinds in the back bedroom were broken and the curtains could not be closed because of the air conditioner. Between the noise and light, it was impossible to get a good night’s sleep!
Tytt
1950’s motor inn vibe
Quaint and quiet
will stay again
Nice and clean boutique motel
It was a quaint property, retro interior was cute! The shower floor needs to be redone. Beds were comfortable. Need to inform guests on how to turn off lights around the bed. Good breakfast at sister property. Windows need to be replaced.
Good
Remodeled and clean mid-century motel room and bathroom. Bed, pillows and bedding were really comfortable. The price was very fare and would definitely stay here again.
Highly recommend
This was my second time staying at Aikens Lodge and it was just as great as the first time. The couple that run the motel are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is perfect. Highly recommend!
Stayed first day before camping at Zion National Park.
60’s
We like the retro look of the 1970 decor
We will be back!
The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Nice clean affordable motel. Was quiet the night i was there. Close to restaurants.
We had the family room with three beds that fits 6 person. Clean room and friendly staff. Breakfast was in Best Western next door and was perfect.
Excepting some initial confusion over checking in, it was great. The staff that helped me were outstanding.
Almost perfect. Bathroom sink drained very slowly and the shower had low pressure. Otherwise, awesome.
Room was clean, staff was friendly.
Super clean
I’ve stayed at this hotel 2 times and enjoyed my stay bath times. The maid forgot turn on The A/ on in my room so I callled the front desk regrading the issues and not Evan 5 minutes later the apartment. Find y got me sch
Amazing place to stay with excellent service!!
Love the 50s aesthetic! Beds were comfortable. Clearly not well staffed at all. More than half the rooms were dirty at check in, I'm assuming they're ALL dirty this morning at check out. Had to check in at the best Western and not F the property
Good value
Everything was great; room condition and cleanliness, staff, etc, except the shower. Shower tile around base needed bleach. Overall still a good value, and I would stay there again in the future.
Although retro, definitely can tell the place was clean and taken care of. It may be out of date, yet it was clean and the service was helpful.
It was a great place for the price. Breakfast was okay. Cleanliness was okay .
This place is way dated and needs more amenities.
First time we ever booked a hotel that had 3 separate bedrooms to sleep 6 people, very convenient, spacious, well maintained and stocked hotel room!! Will definitely recommend and come back if we even go back to Kanab!! Close to Zion and Bryce and other nice places to visit in Utah!
Great throwback motel in a great little town
It has a retro feel to it. Lots of space for a 2 bedroom unit. Conveniently located. The office is closed onsite, but managed well from the neighboring Bear Western.
A great place for the cost.
Stayed here several years and times.
Our favorite little spot in kanab. Friendly always very clean. Clean wins every time.
Bathroom water temperature not controlled well And fan not working
Aikens is the spot!!!!!!!
We visited the 4th of July weekend. New management treated us great. They let us swim in the pool later than the posted time which the kiddos where stoked about. Our rooms AC quit working in the evening and management quickly relocated us to another room. Grateful for that. We love Aikens Lodge and always stay here on our Southern Utah travels
Great place to stay with family!
Great Stay and hospitality! Most definitely will stay again!
Very spacious
This is such a fun place with lots of space in the rooms.

Very clean. Friendly & responsive staff. Especially liked the renovated bath/shower in our unit. It’s an older facility, but it’s obvious the staff is invested in continually improving the property while maintaining a nostalgic feel. Well done, and we’ll be back!
