Tranquil stay

Very nice views of the beach. Clean, great breakfasts, comfortable.

Liked: Very nice room, great view, comfy bed, breakfasts were really excellent and the perfect size Could be better: Brita water in fridge tasted very chemical, maybe bottled water would be justified for those not used to the local water taste

Quiet location with a nice view of lake Skaha

The room and the view are beautiful. Clean, comfortable, with lots of little special touches. Lisa is very accommodating to any request and always responds quickly. The breakfasts were delicious and we really appreciated them! Would certainly stay here again...and would look forward to it!

Beautiful patio for breakfast and very kind and welcoming host. Suite was extremely clean and had everything we needed for 2 night get away.

Wonderful stay and would do so again.

We had a lovely two night stay at the end of May. Our room was very comfortable and the linens were so luxurious and the bed was a dream. Small balcony overlooking the lake was perfect for breakfast and an evening glass of wine. The breakfasts were amazing -- far above and beyond what we expected -- and Lisa was the perfect host.

Enjoyed our stay and we will return.

Very close to Skaha Lake and the owner was always looking for ways to meet our needs.

Above the beach met all of our expectations. The view was spectacular, the host was accommodating, and provided delicious breakfasts meanwhile was mindful of our privacy. The unit was comfy, clean, nicely decorated, and the tub was a nice feature. I would highly recommend this B&B and plan to return.

Suite with a view

This is one of the best places that we have stayed at while vacationing in Penticton. Lisa, who was our hostess was very friendly and extremely helpful advising us where to go insofar as restaurants are concerned. Furthermore, she baked some excellent muffins. Above the Beach is located fairly close to the Bluffs. Consequently the views from the suite of Skaha Lake and Penticton are stunning. All in all one of the best places to stay in Penticton.

Lovely view

Beautiful room with many upgraded touches, linens and comfortable bed. The crate of breakfast foods was amazing. A fresh and beautiful variety of lovely offerings. Lisa is a wonderful host.

Excellent stay

The room was sparkling clean, luxuriously furnished, and with a great panoramic view of Skaha beach. Garry and Barb were great hosts and the breakfasts were creative and excellent. We were sorry to leave and in hindsight we wished we had booked a longer stay.

Gorgeous house, wonderful hosts, delicious and very creative breakfast menu. Property well kept, amenities are great- absolutely delightful experience.

It was a beautiful location up in the hills overlooking the lake. Hosts were friendly, food was good. Nice quiet location. Easy to drive to restaurants and all other sorts of things. They even welcomed us with rose petal hearts on our bed and a bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge for our honeymoon!

This was a last minute find, and turned out to be a wonderful experience. Charming Hosts, very nice room with a great view, and a super breakfast to start our day. Will definitely visit this location again this fall.

The location, setting, room and breakfast were wonderful. The owners were helpful, kind and extremely accommodating. We would certainly return again for another stay in Penticton.

Huge suite, fridge, deck, cherries. Great breakfast. Bed very creaky but comfortable. Old furniture but suits the suite. An update needed for the bed at least. Very pleasant hosts.

Breakfast was amazing. Gary and Barb were friendly and made a special effort to make us feel welcome during our wedding weekend. We loved eating on the deck overlooking Penticton's Skaha Lake and the cherry trees with young deer. Great place!

fabulous spot.

This was a perfect spot for our 30th wedding anniversary. Beautiful views, amazing food, and the bed was marvellous. I would highly recommend this spot. The hosts were a lovely, friendly and very accommodating.

Getaway

Beautiful view!!!!!. Really nice breakfast and really friendly hosts.really nice greeting with a glass of wine and lots of Information on restaurants etc. Would recommend for sure.

Barb and Gary were lovely hosts. They were kind and hospitable, and their breakfasts were delicious and generous. They were engaging conversationalists and it was nice to chat with them while having breakfast (though they weren’t intrusive - we just enjoyed chatting with them). We had breakfast on the patio, which has a great view. The room was large and had everything we needed - a Keurig machine with coffee and tea, beach towels, a small fridge, many blankets, and necessary toiletries. We were in the downstairs Ruby room and it had a small patio just outside it, which was nice. The air conditioning was great, though we had to close the vent at times because it could get quite cold. And because the room is below the kitchen/living area, you can hear people moving or talking, so it’s not for light sleepers who are hoping to sleep in past 7-7:30am. Otherwise, we had a great stay!

The property is more than we expected, beautiful views. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We are planning to comeback. I already miss the place. Thank you Barb ! Anca

Cute location with a view overlooking Skaha lake and rest of the Penticton. The rooms were clean. Walkable distance to a winery. Creative and tasty breakfast. Friendly hosts :)

Expansive views in the heart of wine country.. Room was truly beautiful, well-equipped, and Barb and Gary were excellent hosts. Food was delicious. This property was easy driving distance to everything and yet, so private. Loved it.

Nice room and updated shower. Breakfasts are amazing!

Clean and quiet with great food. Barb and Gary are wonderful hosts-very accommodating. Our room had a private patio which was lovely for morning coffee and evening wine. Nice tub with separate shower. They provide dishes and a microwave, robes and slippers. We were about 8 km from the KVR trail. If your cycling save enough energy to climb the hill-there is a steep grade to get home. Crescent Hill Winery is around the corner and worth a stop. Highly recommended.

Delicious and unique breakfasts. Great location and view. Clean and comfortable. Hosts were friendly and responsive. Wildlife on the grounds including deer and quail were an unexpected welcome.

The view is exceptional, the facilities are well cared for and trendy. The daily breakfast is fabulous and a great start to the day! Would definitely stay again !

Our hosts were wonderful, breakfast was delicious and beautifully plated, the view from our bedroom was fantastic, and our room itself very spacious and comfortable. Wish there was better lighting inside the room, though! Hard to read at night!

Amazing B and B the breakfast included was just fantastic Room was spacious and so clean Bathroom so big and shower could fit the family in it View to die for And the hosts were so lovely very friendly I recommend this place to couples looking for something different Value worth every penny

Beautiful views, friendly hosts and delicious breakfasts. Unfortunately there was some noise transmission between Emerald room and host’s living and kitchen above this unit.

The hosts with the most!

Great stay fantastic hosts and amazing breakfasts! Perched on a hill with beautiful view of the lake and close enough to downtown for dining or shopping. The hosts open their house to their guests and the house is clean modern and the deck overlooking the lake is amazing. We learned a lot about the best wineries to visit, where to dine etc while siting on the deck and sharing a drink with the hosts, they were great and really added to our visit to the okanagan.

Far too expensive for what you get. The room was adequate. No special touches for the price paid. For example, not even a bottle of wine after was provided. TV channels extremely limited. We’ve stayed in many Bed and breakfasts that were far superior and less expensive.

Awesome view and great people!

Our stay at Above the Beach was amazing! The view was beautiful...the breakfast each day was very good...you can tell they put a lot of thought into each dish! The location was great too...close to all of the wineries! The room was clean and the bathtub by the window was so relaxing. We would love to stay here again.

Barb and Gary were such wonderful hosts! We loved our room and their customer service. The breakfast is to die for. They really put a lot of thought and effort into making their guest's experience great.
