This property is lovely, but on Expedia it is listed as having a gym and it doesn’t. This information needs to be corrected; it was one of the reasons I selected it. The property is well maintained and the service is great.

Pristine beach, great food and friendly staff. Perfect 5 days!

Good and nice staff

The room is lack of maintenance, old room, too many mosquito in the room.

Low Season is the best season here!

Fantastic loction, beautiful beach. Really recommend this place in the low season as the weather is not blistering and the beaches are empty. The pool villas are the llace to book too.

Great hotel in Khanom

Good place for a getaway . Hotel is nice and quiet . Pool and rooms are well kept .

Very nice resort on the beach

AAVA is well done. The rooms are really little villas with many situated around the beautiful pool. They are small but well appointed with a comfortable window seat, waterfall shower and the usual robes, hot water kettle and fridge. The pool leads right to the beach. The pictures are an accurate depiction of the site with many different lounges on the beach to include the daybeds and beanbags. The beach was well kept and the sand was soft. The restaurant was good amd varied and service was very pleasant. They had two for one happy hour twice a day. The complaints about the renovation next door were unfounded. At most, we heard some hammering but never even saw any workers.

Beach is not everything

The Hotel Resort is run down and needs a refurbishment even though we were told the Hotel is just 5 years old. The room (Superior Room with Balcony and Garden View) was small. The bed very small, too. The door as well as the Balcony door had gaps and holes by what insects can enter easely. The BBQ buffet was just a joke! The Hotel is certainly overpriced and far away of everything - unless you got a car!The only nice recall is the beach!

Nice hotel on the wonderful Khanom Beach

Smartly designed hotel on relatively narrow piece of land (which can lead to overcrowding of bar and beach area) but in need of some refurbishment. Excellent location in the middle of superb Khanom beach.

Nice hotel, good food& breakfast. But bedding was dusty. Bathroom design is good but not utilization, e.g. need more towel hanger, soap disc in shower booth, toilet spray hose near left hand etc.

Outstanding

While Khanom may not be on the radar of most tourists traveling to Thailand, this is a perfect place to escape the noise and tourist attractions commonly found in neighboring areas. Aava provides tours that are not "touristy" and their rooms and facilities are well worth the cost. Also, their staff is very accommodating, I had an issue with transport to the resort and my emails and concerns were addressed immediately. While it is a little more pricey than options in the similar area, their staff (all english speaking) was gracious and did everything possible to make my 5 day trip there the best it could be. And it has a beautiful beach!

Good value for money but need renovation. Amazing food in the restaurant. Good spa except the pedicure and manicure (no colors to choose from, old laque and not very nicely done). Really good yoga teacher - got private lessons since no one else signed up week. The beach is amazing and was almost alone by the pool everyday. Great place to relax but they need to renovate rooms, sun lounges, change beach towels etc to give a better overall impression. Got a free transfer from the airport which was great!

Nice two day retreat.

We had two relaxing days at Aava. The quality of the spa is good and we enjoyed a massage each day. Breakfast was included in the room cost and there was an excellent selection of foods, served at our table. Our room and bathroom were clean and the beds comfortable. Amenities such as bathrobes and sun parasols were in the room. There were a few things that we felt did not meet the 5 star advertising. The beach was not cleaned as well as necessary. Unfortunately the surf tosses up debris at every high tide and the beach area should be checked and cleaned more often. We had a very nice little bungalow however we could not leave the front door or balcony doors open because there are no screens at all. It would have been really nice to be able to get fresh tropical air in the room in the evening. There was a window seat (day bed) in our room but I was hesitant to use it because it was covered with a velour type cover that was worn and did not look well cleaned. There are also large fluffy cushions but these are not really appropriate for a tropical climate either. Washable cotton covers on the cushions and day bed would have been better choices. The bathroom sink would not drain properly (This was also noted in a earlier review) and although the sink was stylish it was impractical to use as it was only about 2 inches deep. The staff are friendly and attentive but need training and support to meet the expectations of the European clientele that the hotel caters to.

What a jewel of a property

This is one of the finest resort hotels we have stayed in.My wife and I travel twice a year all over Thailand and this is right up there with the best.This area of Thailand is untouched by commercialization so be prepared for a hotel stay only not much to do outside the premises. If you are a hotel connoisseur love staying and eating in the one place then this is worth considering great rooms,fantastic restaurant and very gracious staff this is the place.

Nice but boring

Excellent food and drink. Friendly staff. Beach was however not maintained and littered with rubbish. Very limited entertainment (TV with only local channels and BBC World - no DVD library/movies etc., most acitivities e.g. boating etc. not available, no facilities to hire snorkelling equipment).

Hieno skandihotelli syrjäisessä paikassa. Vaikka sijainti on syrjäinen, niin hotelli kuljettaa mihin vain haluat mennä. Vaaleanpunaisia delfiinejä näkyi myös aamupalalla ja iltapäivällä rantatuoleissa. Virkistävä huomata hotelli, jossa suurinosa on suomalaisia ja ruotsalaisia, että ainuttakaan aurinkotuolia ei varata. Myös tänne oli saapuneet kännykät, jota varsinkin yksi tarjoilija tuijotti katse alaspainantuneena. Olisin tilannut lisää, mutta tarjoilijaan ei saa yhteyttä. Muille tarjoilijoille iso kiitos🙏

Hôtel luxueux

Très bel hôtel mais les extras sur place sont très très cher pour le pays… massage x3 repas x2 …excursions x3 le prix ce qui est fort dommage car l’hôtel est génial et à un bon rapport qualité prix mais les extras abusés en therme de coût

Nice rooms, good restaurant, good spa (which was infortunately closed when we arrived for two days). Room cleaning was sometimes a bit a problem. But all in all i think it is the best place at Khanom Beach. I will go there again.

very nice locati on on and great staff with a nice restaurant, the hotel is located right on the beach and we will defently come back to this location.

El hotel esta muy chulo, pero la ducha no es practica, ya se nota un poco el uso de la habitacion y del restaurante me esperaba un poquito mas para el precio y el botel que es, de todas maneras volveria.

Das Personal war sehr Freundlich und hilfsbereit! Leider waren die Preise für das Essen und Getränke plus Service Gebühren etwas teuer.

La cama dura cómo una piedra, perdír colchón más suave o suplemento, la carpintería no ajusta y pasan las lagartijas como invitadadas, són inofensivas y se comen los insectos, cuando llueve tienes que coger las toallas y ponerlas en el suelo para que ajuste y no entre agua. Por lo demés todo bien

Erittäin ihana henkilökunta ja kiva hotelli

Ihana henkilökunta teki vierailustamme viihtyisän. Huone oli muuten siisti, mutta lakanat olivat tahraisia lakanoiden vaihdoista huolimatta. Kaunis ranta ja erinomainen ruoka Aalto-ravintolassa. Hotellin spa oli myös erittäin laadukas. Jos etsit lomalta rauhaa, hiljaisuutta ja pientä luksusta, Aava Resort on sinun paikkasi.

MEGET roligt sted

Havde tre nætter på stedet efter at have rejst rundt i landet i 3 uger. Lidt fancy sted som i min optik forsøger at gøre sig lidt mere end det reelt er. Det virker som om at skaberne har haft gode intentioner, men deres ideer ikke rigtigt holder vand i den virkelige verden i Thailand. Hotellets services og maden er dyr efter thailandske forhold. Vi havde morgenmad med i vores ophold, og den var ganske OK. Massage (og så kaldt spa) på stedet er også i den dyre ende og derfor gik jeg over til den traditionelle massør på den modsatte af gaden, hvor den ligger side om side med en lille købmand. Stranden er dejlig og der er næsten ikke andre badende. Stedets pool er noget af det reneste jeg har oplevet - 5 stjerne til den. Desuden er der liggestole nok, så man skal ikke kæmpe om pladserne. Badehåndklæder er frit tilgængelige og bliver det vådt, så tager man bare et nyt. Det er et ganske roligt område og der er meget begrænset mulighed for at gå ud og spise andre steder end selve hotellet og et par enkelte simple restauranter på stranden 150 meter nord for hotellet. Jeg var talte med stedet chauffør og han fortalte at de restauranter der var inde i den mindre by der ligger 5 km mod nord mest er for lokale, så her er mulighederne også begrænsede. Vi var dog kun derinde for at hæve penge - der er nemlig ikke nogen ATM i nærheden af resortet.

Wir waren das zweite Mal in diesem schönen Resort, gebucht haben wir 2 Deluxe Zimmer für uns und unsere Kinder. Sehr gutes Essen und Toplage direkt am Strand.

Personnel ne parlant pas français et peu anglais.Pas de baignoire dans la chambre.Poir un 5 étoiles,pas de peignoir,chaussons,pdts d'hygiène limite ...néanmoins,piscine et service bon dans l'ensemble

Tjekket sted uden turister

Vi nød opholdet, cool sted, dejlig morgenmad, lækket pool og fantastisk strand. Utroligt rejsebureauerne ikke har opdaget stedet endnu, men det er bare dejligt, for så har vi stranden for os selv-:) eneste minus ift. topkarakter er for hårde senge og prisen i restauranten.

Vidunderlig strand

Dejligt lille resort der ligger direkte ved den mest vidunderlige og børnevenlige strand. God service og rimelig god mad. Fornuftigt prisniveau. Hotellet arrangerer forskellige turer. Pragtfuldt sted, som vi godt kunne finde på at besøge en anden gang. Levede fuldt ud op til vores forventninger. Kan varmt anbefales hvis man som os ønsker at bo væk fra masseturismen (om nogle år er Khanom sikkert blevet et velbesøgt feriested).

Great for relaxation and piece of mind

Aava is a nice place to visit when in need of a "quiet luxury". It is far away from the beaten tourist path. No taxis to call - only the hotel shuttle - if you want to visit nearby areas. No tuk tuks to hire. No beach vendors. And - honestly - there isn't much to do and see in the area. But if you want to enjoy some days with good food, the waves and the beach and good accommodation this is an excellent choice.

Mukava ja rauhallinen paikka. Laadukkaan ja ylellisen oloinen kokonaisuus. Hinnat huomattavasti korkeammat kuin allueen muissa hotelleissa/ruokapaikoissa. Miinuksena jääkaappi ja ilmastointi äänekkäitä sekä naapurihuoneen äänet kuuluvat selkeästi.

Great hotel

Fanstatic hotel with excellent service. Without any question the best one in the Khanom area. Nice pool area and lovely restaurant. with both thai and western food. The pizzeria is also great. In addition there are cheaper resturants/bars close to the hotel.
