Poor sound deadning in unit could hear next rooms tv going and them talking all night, otherwise unit was spotless and bed comfortable

The property is older and perhaps outdated, but it was clean, very convenient, and the staff could not have been nicer. If you are looking for a luxurious stay, this is not the place for you, but for all others, it serves the purpose well and is conveniently located in the octagon, but not noisy.

Picked this Motel as it was close to the event we going to and was really impressed. Walking distance to shops and the Octagon. Comfortable bed.

Great location in Dunedin, plenty of eateries within close walking distance, on-site parking a bonus. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are of a good size and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but totally adequate and less than the cost of a fancy coffee elsewhere ... great value.

Bus stop close by. Great breakfasts at the cafe next door. The garden was a pleasant place to sit watching birds after a long day 0n the Taieri Gorge train trip and at the Beer Festival.

Very friendly and helpful at check in. Room was spacious and clean. Conveniently located near octagon in Dunedin. Restaurants and stores nearby. Bed was comfortable. Made use of kitchenette.

Enjoyable Stay in Lively Dunedin

Great location for central Dunedin and the Octagon's nightlife. Parking availability very handy in a quiet area. We had a large room with separate comfy chairs for TV viewing. Staff at reception gave excellent advice on the surrounds.

Clean, spacious and comfortable. Very close to main shopping area and dining.

Good position close to everything but looking a bit tired

The property is very centrally located and good value. The desk staff were very helpful and obviously enjoyed doing their jobs, more than any desk staff we encountered on our 3 weeks in NZ.

Good city centre location

The room was a good size and the facilities for food preparation were reasonable, with microwave, kettle, fridge and so on included. Plenty of TV stations available. It was useful to have a small range of items available for breakfast in the restaurant and just pay for those as we checked out. The best thing is being so close to the city centre.

Better on the inside than the outside.

Motel is very convenient tor dunedin centre. The inside is clean and comfortable however the outside gives the appearance of needing some care and attention. We arrived early and the place was not busy, If all rooms were occupied then parking would be a problem.

Access to higher levels was poor. Had to use an old lift that didn't feel safe because it shuddered and jumped. There was no loading bay so had to carry our bags up the very rough driveway for 200 metres.

Adequate, but would bot consider this to be a 4 star hotel.

Property is ok. Clean, easy check in good location. Only negative is the lift that seriously needs service. Stopping at floors jars the teeth....

Perfect location. Room had plenty of space. Very friendly staff. Will stay again if we are in Dunedin.

Booked for 3 days for hubby and I and enjoyed it so much that we booked for another 2 days.Staff extremely helpful and pleasant.One of the cleanest properties we have stayed at.Within walking distance to eateries,shopping and public transport.Will definitely stay again.

An older building but our room was so large and comfortable with all the necessary inclusions that it provided the most relaxing 5 days of our trip. Staff friendly and very helpful. Added bonus was cheap and convenient laundry facility. Short walk to Centre. Parking space appreciated (if a little challenging)

Staff went above and beyond the call of duty.

I got Covid-19 at the start of my stay. The motel staff went above and beyond the call of duty to support me during my isolation. I didn't get to enjoy much of the benefit of the central location, but I did enjoy a spacious, clean room with a small kitchen during my seven day isolation period. The staff called daily to check on me, offered any help I needed and cared for my welfare. I would return again to 97 Motel Moray as my first choice if I visit Dunedin again. I am a Canadian who was on a trip partly academic research and partly holiday.

I have stayed here before, and loved it. The same applies this time, but I had a room facing the street, which was very noisy, especially with students coming home from nightclubbing in the early hours. But the staff were fantastic, and I'd certainly stay again, but next time I'd ask for a room away from the street.

Central location, walkable, clean, good parking and friendly staff.

The lady that checked me in was so kind and compassionate considering why I was there. So thoughtful of staff/owners to have warmed the room up.

The location was perfect for walking to toen for shopping and restaurants. The beds were especially comfortable.

Super Convenient

Motel room in former YWCA building. Room was large and comfortable. Only downside is just one lift which could do with attention. (Edge strip on entry to cover frayed carpet. Very jerky mechanicals!)

Great location, close to the city centre. Able to walk to city. Lots of dining options close. Reception was very helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast for $6.00 was more than adequate. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend

Nice in Moray

A nice place to stay. Bed big and comfortable. Only criticism is furniture that a mobility challenged person can sit down and get up from would be good in the accessible unit we were in. Something not too low.

Friendly staff, free onsite parking, free WiFi, room was clean and comfortable. Good location easy access to city centre and shops. Decor a bit old and dated, shower wasnt great not much water pressure.

Very close to the centre of Dunedin. We had an event at the Town Hall, 97 Motel Moray was perfect being only a block away.

The Motel was fine, unfortunately there was major road works on the road outside every night I stayed but this was out of the Motels control

The motel is so central and the rooms were immaculate and clean.

Room met the needs and was ok value. The decor is a little dated and the breakfast very basic but it is in a great location, with suitable parking. I would stay again at the right price.

Great location. A bit run down. We were on the ground floor. Got woken at 11am with people standing outside our room talking and then got woken again at 4am with the guests in the above room going back from somewhere. Didn't get a good nights sleep.

An excellent motel to stay at while we participated in a National convention. Very quiet and relaxing after the bustle of city based meetings. We were most impressed with the central location.
