Great place to stay if want to be closer to Christchurch downtown, place is well maintained and well equipped, very clean, extremely friendly staff. Only nitpick is that the sound proofing is weak, so we had quite a bit of noise from activities upstairs and outside our room, I can hear everything when people were talking outside.

Lovely motel

Very convenient for a variety of buses and eating places. Cosy and very quiet despite the busy road- when the door was shut we couldn't hear it. We will return.

Great place to stay, close to university and student accommodation, Bush inn shops, riccarton mall and central to all the city. Very comfortable, clean, everything we needed. Quiet even though close to the road. This was a return visit.

Overall good accommodation but the pillows were useless, to thin and soft.

Owners were friendly and one bedroom unit was lovely. Living area was nice and large but let down by having two single beds in it.

Quiet and Relaxing

I booked a room here based on the rating on this site. I was not disappointed. It was lovely and quiet. The staff was very helpful. I will say that they didn't have a record of my lastminute.co.nz booking. Fortunately they had plenty of rooms and gave me the same rate as was listed on my lastminute.co.nz confirmation email. Not sure what they would have done had they been fully booked.

Very Pleased with the Asure 306 on Riccarton!

We had an awesome stay at the Asure 306 on Riccarton. Mary and Terry, our hosts, were awesome. They were very friendly and helpful and upgraded us to a two bedroom unit at no extra charge. They rooms were very well kept. Beds were very comfortable and there was an excellent amount of space. We were there for 5 days and it was a very relaxing stay. The kitchen units were very well equipped so we were able to have breakfast in the room every day and a couple of dinners too! We would highly recommend the Asure 306 on Riccarton.

Comfortable, clean and convenient

The room was clean and comfortable and the WiFi was fast. The motel was near shops and supermarkets and there was a bus stop nearby if you didn't want to drive into the centre. Despite being on a main road it was quiet at night and we didn't have any trouble sleeping, especially as the bed was so comfortable.

Good off street parking. On main road but quiet, easy to locate and access. On a busy bus route excellent location.

Great place to stay

Really enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately it was only one night, but we were made so welcome. Room was well presented & above all clean. Handy to shops.

Nice room but rude host

The room was comfortable and clean but a few things let it down. Firstly the foreign (German?) host was arrogant and not at all welcoming. I thought my room was paid for via Wotif like every other place I've stayed, but turns out you pay on arrival. This misunderstanding and the host's insistence that I was wrong (turns out I was, but he wasn't very friendly about it) made for a sour start to my trip. Also, the TV and Sky decoder were unplugged and the setup instructions were out of date, so it took me a while to get it set up. And the shower went icy cold for a couple of minutes in the middle of my wash - both times - which was unpleasant. I don't make a habit of whinging, but felt compelled to give feedback. I will stay elsewhere in future and recommend others do too.

COMFY ACCOMMODATION CLOSE TO SHOPS AND EATERIES

Mary and Terry were very welcoming, warm and friendly. They offered to come and pick us up at the station when we arrived by KiwiRail, and at the end of our stay, drove us back to the station to board our next train trip.The room was comfortable, with very effective heating to combat the cold outside. Even without a car with us, the shops and a range of places to eat were less than 5 minutes walk away. There is a very regular bus service running past the front door providing a 10 minute journey to and from the CBD.

Great room

Room was great. Looks exactly as pictured. Near to beachfront and next to the tour company which organized dolphin watching trips (encounter). Convenient for those who booked one!

A great place to stay, staff exceedingly helpful, rooms tidy and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable rooms. Handy to university, shops and plenty of places to eat, most within walking distance.

Sadly not a great experience this time

Booking via wotif was not a problem, however when my wife arrived the room allocated had not had the toilet cleaned, there was still urine and paper visible. Another room was offerred which was cleaned but when asking about a bath we were informed it would cost extra, something not mentioned in the advertising. The room was serviced adequately the next morning however tea back were not replaced and we had to ask for some. The overall appearance of the facilities has changed with some new owners I believe, the bed used to have electric blankets but these were not evident this time. My wife was required to pay in full on arrival again a different practice to our previous visits, this was the forth time we stayed at this motel.

Just arrived to Christchurch from Ireland

I booked this motel for two nights to allow my sister to get over her jet lag! Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly also. Thanks for the short stay . I would stay again 306!!
