A stay at a 21c is like visiting a museum and hotel all in one. Ciconatti’s location does not disappoint.
The art galleries are cool to look at and you can get a drink from the bar in the restaurant and go walk around. Overall, a very cool experience.
Fabulous location. Reasonable price. Recommend 21C.
Double Charged
The accommodation were excellent. The only major issue I had is that I was charged by Hotels.com and also by 21C hotel.
Needs a refresh
This hotel needs a refresh. There is a distinct stale smell throughout the lobby and hallways, the walls are damaged/scuffed, the corners of the bathtub are moldy, the empty mini fridge was dirty. The hotel is very basic with few amenities- a small closet, no slippers, very thin bedding. The hotel ran out of clean towels at one point. The art was very interesting but I would not recommend.
Very nice facility. The bed linens were exceptional.
Great stay!
Very unique
This location is great and everything with one exception was excellent!! Restaurant, bar and food was outstanding. Bartender Andrew was above and beyond. One problem was morning checkout. It was easy but person checking me out was an ass. I know it was early 6:30am but I was the only person around and he could not manage a smile. Valet parking was reasonable and the staff was great.
Things to know
Nice staff, great bed, linen, and towels but: Shower lukewarm The room was not clean on the 2nd day Restaurant closed for breakfast on Thanksgiving day Overall, I'm not too impressed.
Employees were extremely helpful. Excellent stay
Great property, beautiful, and comfortable bed. Only thing I didn't like was that the hotel was kept very hot in the middle of winter. Not very sustainable. I would like to stay again, but I will first look for a nearby property that is more environmentally friendly.
The hotel was a treat to stay in. The entire experience was great from the clean rooms to the check in with the front desk girl. The lobby was so cool it was distracting to check in. My truck was too tall for the valet garage so they made great accommodations and made room for it in front of the hotel. The valet is 24 hours so I wasn't worried at all. The rooms were clean, updated and comfortable. The restaurant staff was efficient and friendly. This place checks all the boxes. A night at the museum!
Very Unique Hotel
Lovely hotel. Very chic and different. Friendly staff and clean rooms.
The bed was horrible. The staff and hotel are wonderful for sure.
I loved the art and the spa. It was an experience as much as a place to stay.
Good experience overall. Interesting concept for a hotel. However, both of my lights flickered the entire evening. But excellent room service and prompt front desk assistance.
The art in this building is amazing and the rooms are amazingly comfortable. The bathroom tile is worth the visit.
enjoy 21 c.
Nice stay ! Great location !
The room was extremely interesting and LARGE. The living space was big, with a large dining table that was very convenient. The shower/tub setup was very unique and one of our favorite surprises with the room. The location is convenient and there were plenty of nightlife options within minutes walking. The staff on our check-in night were very helpful and attentive. Did not really get the same energy from the check out crew, but it wasn't a bad experience. All in all, very happy we stayed here! Would recommend!
Very convenient & interesting art installations
For the price and expectation of a higher scale, art and leisure centered hotel, I was disappointed. On the positive side, the art (and concept) was cool and the staff was fantastic. They were so kind and helpful and proactive! On the constructive criticism side, the room was not anything nicer or more taken care of than a Holiday Inn. Shower wouldn’t drain, room itself was pretty stark and basic with just more expensive lamps.
Loved the hotel room and the location. Service was good. There were lots of homeless people around the area and it felt a bit unsafe.
Awesome stay if you’re in town for a football game!
Beautiful hotel with staff who were courteous and professional! If ever I’m in the area in the future, I will definitely be staying there again!
We stayed at 21c for 4 nights and were very pleased with the hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful. When we got into our room, the mini fridge smelled really bad so we called the front desk and someone was there in 5 minutes to replace it. The room was very clean and quiet. This hotel is a perfect place to stay in the city as it is close to many things. There is a free streetcar stop literally 1 minute from the hotel which will take you around the city. The valet parking was very easy and the guys were super friendly and speedy in getting our car. We had a wonderful first visit to Cincinnati and it definitely won’t be our last to the city or this hotel. Thanks for giving us some great memories!
Great experience
Missing key elements during our stay!
The front desk person was friendly but didn’t tell us about the water in the room and the refill area. We needed waters Friday night and all we were told was that they were out. We only had a bed sheet our first night. We froze. I asked for a comforter for the second night. Not exactly worth the price of what we paid for our stay.
The room was comfortable. We liked the dining options and the art exhibits.
Love the artwork, and enjoyed the room service
Very affordable for being so upscale
Room was uncomfortable and not very tidy. Long wait to check it in. Waited for a while for valet even though I called way ahead of time.
I’ve stayed at many hotels in downtown Cincinnati and this is one of the best! Very clean and quiet! A unique experience and love all the art! Fantastic place!!
Loved the museum and the whole feel of the hotel.
Not great to be honest toilet and sink made screeching noise every time it was used and in room telephone for reception didn’t work. Staff didn’t seem bothered about it luckily it was only one night.
Room is very spacious and the art gallery space on the main floor and 2nd floor is really neat. There was quite a bit of street noise so I’m glad I brought ear plugs. My 2 complaints about the room are the pillows did not smell clean at all and the blanket was so incredibly thin. I did not sleep well as a result.
Nice property in a great location.
We were staying just one night for a ball game. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The young lady at the desk did a great job at welcoming us and giving us good suggestions for food. I had requested a room with a view and on a high level. They definitely came through. We had the 10th floor and a great view of the city. My only complaint, and I don't even know if it is fixable, is the windows. There is a barrier window to cover the original window and it has collected a lot of cobwebs and dust. I only noticed because I was taking a picture. If that is the only downside, I think that's speaks well for this hotel. It was a great stay and I will for sure return.
Great property
Fantastic hotel. Very unique bc it’s a museum too! Room was comfortable, cold and clean!!!
Lively area of town with great bars and restaurants. Art museum in hotel and roof top bar overlooking city skyline. Nice room, large bed and bathroom.
Overall uncomfortable. No light blocking window treatments……several outside lights filtering in ALL night. Very uncomfortable bed, Unable to get good sleep. Hilton properties used to have decent properties….. I’m not so sure anymore
Very nice hotel; restaurant is great
Front desk was vey helpful and friendly You can catch the trolley just up the block to get around the city but it is also very walkable The rooftop bar was great—despite the cooler weather they had blankets you could wrap yourself in Wish they had a larger drink selection
Overall very nice experience
My daughter and I went to see a concert at great American ball park. We were told at check in that the water was going to cut off at 11 pm. That’s the same time as the concert ended. Luckily, we left early enough from the show to get back to the room with enough time for my daughter to shower, but I couldn’t. I figured I’d be able to shower in the morning before we left, but the water wasn’t even back on by the time we left. That was very disappointing, as it was the only bad thing about the stay. I usually don’t stay at the big fancy hotels, usually I prefer just to find a cheap room and call it a day. The one time I splurge on a room, the waters doesn’t work and I can’t shower.
This was first time in Cincy and we really enjoyed our stay, and would come back. The hotel was ok, but not sure I would stay again.
Casual stay
It was nice, but the AC in our room was broken so it was very hot all night
Room was pretty dusty and cobwebs up near the bed. Near elevator smelled like the hotel was a smoking hotel. Staff in my personal opinion should be more professionally dressed. Also I understand on paying or securing an incidental fee but I was charged NOT pending for my stay on the day we checked in what the cost should be but then after we departed their was a charge for $600+ after I was already charged $450+ the $600+ is showing pending however this should not be actually charged but now that $600+ is marked on my acct so I can not use that $600+ money u til it is credited back from the hotel this is the wrong way of doing business if this part is for incidental then you should only pending the $100 per day we stayed 1 night! This is 100% wrong on how you do business! I will not be staying at 21c again it’s the little things that matter.
Nice place. My bath sink was leaking but otherwise everything was very good
The AC didn’t work and had to have a man come in room@ 10 pm to address that. The sink was leaking / dripping. The shower head didn’t have option to adjust water pressure. It was so hard and made the shower painful. The walls in hallways were dirty and very scuffed up. Not at all the experience I was expecting. Especially for the price. Very dissatisfied
For 4.5 star rated hotel, I expected better than that. Furnitures were outdated and dusty, and carpet was dirty and needed to be replaced. Lack of basic toiletries. Smelled and felt like 2 star motel. For the money I spent, it was not worth it. I regretted the minute I walked into the room. I ordered ribeye steak to my room, it arrived cold and dry. It had bad smell and felt like i was chewing on a rubber. I had to spit out. I spoke to the front desk about this terrible experience, no one followed up on it. Do not waste your money.
Disappointed is an understatement
Would not recommend. Stayed at other 21C properties and this was significantly different than every other.
Staff was attentive and responsive. The location was great for walking to various interests. It was quite noisy at night but we assumed that was beyond the hotel’s control.
Kewl
Lovely quiet hotel with amazing staff. Roof top bar offer vacation vibes and terrific view of the city.
Overall service not up to price of room. Restaurant service good food not good.
This motel smelled really bad in the hallways like dirty house or carpet, the walls in the hallways were dirty too. The room itself was okay but the paper coasters the glasses were on in the bathroom looked liked they had been reused multiple times. The staff were helpful and friendly. We paid before coming and they attempted to charge us again upon arrival. The area was great and everything was walking distance but for the cost of the room I was disappointed.
We would definitely stay at this property again. The art was a bit disappointing in that we wanted to “escape” and the art’s topic (environment) was not what we needed this past weekend. Too heavy.
It wasn't as nice as the pictures let on. It also had an "old" smell to it. Yes, I know it was old but there are things that can be done to make it smell less old. I do have the say the staff at the front desk was great. The waiter we had at Metropole was fantastic, he was absolutely hilarious! The hostess however was a little rough. We arrived a little early for our reservation and we waited outside the restaurant for a bit. We went in at maybe 5 minutes till and we were told they didn't open until 5 and we'd have to wait in a rather unfriendly tone. The hotel as well as the restaurant gave us a free glass of champagne for our anniversary and the food was delicious. It was a good experience but I don't believe the room was worth the price we paid. It definitely wasn't like the pictures.
Valet parking is included which was great. The amount I paid for the room, I was expecting it to be cleaner. I know It’s an old building but the bathroom specifically had a film over it like it hasn’t been deep cleaned in years. Limescale on the shower head and general yuck in the grout and corners. I got a message at the spa and it was the best message I’ve ever had which made the stay worth it. Lots of great restaurants in walking distance and not far from the reds.
Front desk staff were very hospitable. Quick to bring requested items or help out.
average hotel room especially for price clean though except hotel hallways could have used some attention great placement downtown walkable hotel restaurant was good and not overpriced hotel staff was pleasant and accommodating
Quiet
No hot tub or pool. Bed was comfortable and clean
I was very upset that I read online we would have a hot tub at the location to find out when we arrived they no longer have one. No hotel pool either. The spa was wonderful though & everyone was friendly! The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. The hotel restaurant was a little too fancy for my liking so we only tried it once and didn’t eat much. We loved the Mexican restaurant across the road. The art in the hotel was beautiful!
Love 21c hotels!
The staff was friendly. The room was ok. It had a noticeable smell that was not great. Shower would not turn off and I had to call as it was stuck. I paid for valet and my car was damaged badly. I checked out and waited for valet to pull my car up and the complete side was badly damaged. Valet just got out like nothing was wrong. A manger came out to write a report. Never offered any service fee back or anything. Took the report outside I’m the heat and never offered me back in hotel seeing that I was very upset. I will never stay here again or recommend anyone stay here. The only thing good was the front desk staff and some other employees was nice. It’s still a full day and the hotel insurance has not contacted me. I called and spoke with the general manager that was nice but had no urgency. Completely unacceptable.
Everything good
Like streaming close to the venue where we were going , but not satisfactory as the quality of hotel that i'm used to
Weekend Stay
Guest service was great! They were friendly and very helpful. The valet service was also great. We still again. We were there for the weekend for the Cincinnati Music Festival. The only complaint our couch was torn.
Fantastic property
The art was an excellent add on
AC did not work. Given a small refrigerator all beaten up that didnt work.(needed one to chill insulin) asked for another..they said they didnt have one) Even the mini bar fridge didnt work. At 2 in the morning we were offered a room on a different floor (separate from the 2nd room we booked with our son) So mad by then we slept in the heat. Power outlet in the room bare no cover(fire hazard) My husbands bathrobe was ripped and one of our bath towels had a big hole in it! Called and emailed the manager..no response. Called Expedia they told me to call the manager. NEVER using expedia or visiting that hotel again. Expedia..please make this right.....
Loved having the museum within the hotel along with the restaurant. Kid friendly.
The hotel and staff were really good only a couple of things in the room.I read a review about the AC if we kept the blinds closed it stayed cool. The 2 Female bartenders were great made awsome drinks and very professional.
Awesome place!
21c are cool hotels. This is right downtown and a short walk to the ballpark
Fantastic! Will definitely check there first the next time we’re in Cincinnati.
Modern, well designed, clean rooms. Stayed for a night. Great pressure in the shower!
Very nice bathroom, large shower, quiet and good curtains to block out sunlight. Got plenty of sleep. Made use of the free streetcar. Would stay again. Minor negative: a/c could not keep up with the heat wave we had this weekend. Temp never dropped to level I set on the thermostat. But it was cool enough sleeping using only the bedsheet, no blankets.
Overall, it was a great stay. The staff was mostly lovely, but Nancy who called us from her home about our credit card on file was quite rude we honestly almost switched hotels after speaking with her. I’m glad we didn’t as the rest of the stay was nice. The way they pre-run cards before check in is weird and created stress we didn’t need.
No
Wedding Guests.
We reserved a corner room which was very comfortable and large. We enjoyed our stay. The art work in the hotel of course was amazing. Front desk staff were very friendly and nice. Thank you for a lovely visit.
great rooftop bar!!
Memorable in a good way
The art, Metropole Restaurant, rooftop bar and spacious room made for an amazing experience. The bed was comfortable too. Wish we had time to stay for another night.
Nice place to stay in Cincinnati
Loved it
Awesome art objects on display.
Love the artwork which is always so well curated.
It was Great and different experience. Only bummer was roof top bar was not open and it was Memorial Day weekend .
The idea of combining an art gallery and a hotel makes it unique,
Always a good stay at a 21c!
Loved our stay. It was really quiet and comfortable.
great
Room was okay, phone didn’t work and there was no signs on how to navigate around the hotel
We booked our room here bc i love art and the website said pet friendly. While they welcome pets, there wasnt a place for the dog to do his business. We asked around and determined that we probably shouldve left the dog at home. But he lived his best life prancing around downtown at all hours of the night looking for a patch of grass. We really liked the location of 21c. Every single one of the staff was friendly and offered suggestions when we asked. The valet staff was awesome. Very prompt and friendly. The hotel was very clean and safe. We enjoyed all the art work. Would recommend this little gem in the heart of cincinnati!
Sky lounge no open. Staff was good, metropole restaurant average
Unique fun vibe and close to the theater.
Very clean rooms
