Smart members can lock a specific amount of AVA tokens in your account to receive AVA, Bitcoin or Travel Credit rewards back on bookings, discounts on listed prices, and AVA token rewards with the AVA Smart Bonus. Plus, if you pay for your Travala booking in full with AVA, you can get an additional discount of up to 3% on your booking. The highest tier of the program, Smart Diamond, requires a Travel Tiger NFT and offers premium travel perks such as the Ambassador Bonus with Travel Credit rewards, airport lounge passes, entry into luxury travel giveaways, and much more.

BTC and Travel Credit givebacks are only available for Smart Diamond and Platinum members. AVA givebacks are set as the default reward currency. To change to BTC or Travel Credit givebacks, Diamond and Platinum members can set their preferred reward currency by navigating to the AVA Smart Program section of their account. Every time you make a booking, you will also have the option to select your giveback currency for that booking.

The AVA Smart Bonus is a quarterly reward in the AVA token calculated on the amount of your locked AVA in the AVA Smart Program. The current AVA Smart Bonus rate for Diamond members is 20% per year (15% for all other Smart membership tiers). The Ambassador Bonus is a Travel Credit reward available exclusively to Smart Diamond members. At the beginning of each quarter, Diamond members can complete Contributor Tasks to receive the Travel Credit Reward. More information can be found here.

In total, you can receive up to 13% cheaper rates on the listed Travala price when combining the discount and rewards based on your Smart tier, your payment method and the travel product you book.

The AVA Smart Program cannot be used in conjunction with any other incentive programs.

Giveback rewards are confirmed once the travel dates for your booking have elapsed. Bookings that are cancelled, whether voluntarily or involuntarily, will not receive givebacks. For flight bookings, the date of the final flight of the itinerary must have elapsed. For hotel bookings, the date for the final room night must have elapsed. For activities, the date of the final day of the activity must have elapsed.

Each Smart membership is entitled to different giveback reward percentages. Giveback rewards for hotels and activities are greater than the amount that can be received for flights. To see the giveback rewards applicable to your Smart membership, visit the AVA Smart Program page.

The giveback amount is calculated on the final booking price less any applicable service fees and taxes. Giveback amounts shown at checkout are approximations only, and the final giveback amount you receive may vary slightly.
