+ Nice, cozy place. Good price/quality balance. - No mini-bar/fridge.

Really lovely place, nice greeting on arrival and shown to my room which was huge and very comfortable! The balcony was a particularly nice feature and pretty impressive to enjoy the huge thunder storm that night! Overall a very nice place. A really simple walk into town and only about 10 minutes. On street parking offered plenty of spaces nearby.

Not a 4 star

Nice staff but this is not a 4 star hotel. it is very dated, and the air conditioning doesn't work.

The staff was amazing. Friendly, helpful, always available.

Well, the room is definitely small but cozy and it has a king size bad. The bathroom is small either with Shower. The location is two bus station away from downtown. There is no elevator for 4 storey building.

Nice place

Nice and clean place. No elevator so you have to take the spiral staircase to go up. It has 4 floors so might be a problem if you have heavy luggage. The breakfast was good. European style breakfast eggs, cheese and meats. The location is kind of our of way but for 3-4 usd you can get to main areas. The room and sheets, towels were clean. Overall would definitely stay again and actually was one of the better places we have stayed at.

Nice hotel close to old town city center

I had a great time here. I had delicious breakfast every morning. I think it was the number 7.... had lots of meat :) Checking in they let me use my drivers license since I lost my passport. So that was nice of them! Staff was really nice and helpful. Would call a taxi for me and chat with me and such, Hotels pretty close (walking distance) of old city/city center. Fairly cheap for being centrally located and was able to have all my tours pick me up at hotel as a result. Also there was a great Italian restaurant like 2 min walk down the street. Ok in terms of the wifi complaints I saw: I had no issues the entire 2 weeks I was here. Unfortunately with WiFi there are hundreds of variables in the environment that can cause you to have a bad connection or lose connection. There is nothing the hotel staff can do. If everyone's having an issue they can reset the router (which changes the wireless channel being used thus limiting interference from another wireless router in the area) but short of that its really an environmental thing. You just have to try moving things, or moving your laptop to try to get a better signal. If the router works for others then the problem is either with your own laptop and Wireless NIC or with environmental interference which is extremely difficult to isolate and troubleshoot.

Friendly staff, nice breakfast, comfortable room with pretty color decoration. Τhe sheets were not changed (4 nights stay) and most of the times sheets were not straighten.

Small hotel off the beaten path

The Zava Boutique hotel was small (not many rooms) and taxi drivers had a hard time finding it. The quality was pretty good and breakfast was included but it was not located near any public transportation or tourist attractions.

Honest opinion on Zava hotel

I have nothing bad to say, generally the location of the hotel is in a quite area with nice big houses and embassies. I was just not expected to be placed in a kind of house opposite the main hotel. When i booked it showed me the main building, but when i checked in i had to be in that house, which is kind of bassement. No windows in there, although i had two rooms and a separate bathroom. The staff is cool, no any problem, the WiFi was not strong as in the main building, but was okay. No refrigerator in these rooms.

Poor hotel

Hotel was poor. no bed sheet changed. breakfast not buffet style help yourself they have simple plain breakfast. Only 1 person managing the breakfast and reception. lack of communication.

Meh

I requested a studio for myself but the room I got was smaller than any studios I've ever had. It was basically enough room for a queen sized bed with no desk. So definitely not good for business trips. It was also on the 3rd floor w/ no elevator. Breakfast was ok and the staff was nice, but otherwise not the most memorable experience.

Friendly small hotel in Bucharest

The hotel is small and staff friendly and you easyly feel at home. No roomservice or possibillity to serve anything during night. A big plus for the possibillty to print documents through the reception.

I enjoyed my stay at Zava Boutique Hotel and would stay there again.

really nice hotel :) city center

I've spent a few nights in Zava, which is a really nice & small hotel located in a very quiet district near the city center. It takes just 15 minutes on foot to Piața Unirii & Old Town. Nice fruit market and supermarket are located even four times closer. Hotel is very clean and rooms are comfortable. Excellent quality staff and great WiFi connection during whole stay. I will be coming back one day :)

The bathroom had a strong bad odor.the staff should check the cleaniless of their shower cabin ..otherwise has a good quite location

A reasonably central cheerful building but quiet

Greeted by an outstanding and extremely welcoming, friendly, English-speaking, knowledgeable and helpful receptionist. We took her advice and enjoyed her conversation, especially about her country.....and expressed our feeling that she would enjoy Ireland where we would be happy to help her.....unusually for our part! Indeed she also physically helped with my disability scooter .when we opened the bedroom door, the space was clean and comfortable . My Brazillian carer, in the restaurant, was upset to see wild birds in cages for the entertainment of patrons...indeed the comfortable restaurant was a little dull as also the food and it's prices a little high.... For Roumania. .."..Nothing bad at all

how come that a 4* hotel doesn't have an elevator and guests who arrive after midnight have to carry their luggage 2-3 floors up?

Awful Romanian Services and Place! DO NOT GO!!

I choose the Hotel...if this can be called a Hotel but was dissapointed. To get in the Hotel you have to cross a dirty narrow street. My room wqs in the basement. I had no windows, it wqs very cold in the room. Bed had mud dirty linen the walls were with all kind of stains. There were 2 doors leading to my bed. Did not find out where they go. Broken shower. You have to wait a lot for the food. 1 Caesar salad 45min. And in the morning got waked up by a drilling machine and a hammer. DO NOT Go!!! Expensive and very bad experience

Unexpectedly great!

I needed a hotel just for a couple of nights, close enough to the city center, and I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars for a room. Zava Hotel is great, just what you need for a quick gateway. The staff is great, the room was cozy (don't expect a 20'x20' room but the size is good), there is FREE Internet in the whole hotel (most hotels offer internet but you'll end up paying for it or they'll just give you a password good for 2 devices), not to mention the huge breakfast! I've been in a lot of hotels and this one is a GREAT deal for the money!

Pleasant stay

Located in a quite area within minutes from the city centre, the hotel offers a good price/quality.

Wonderful place close to the centre!

The staff was very welcoming and helpful and breakfast was very rich. I was pleased that the staff was ready to help at any time. My room was clean, pleasant and with a lot of light. Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel.

Zava Hotel

This hotel is in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance of the city center. It was clean and the hotel staff was friendly and was able to speak English well enough.

Too much smoke..

All in all a very nice hotel for the price - with great service and friendly staff. Only problem was the allways present smoke in halls, stairs, rooms and resteaurant. Despite the promised non-smoking rooms !.

Dejligt hyggelig hotel

Jeg er positiv overrasket over dette lille hyggelige hotel. God steming, super service af venlig personale, god beliggenhed (ca. 10-15 min fra metro) og rent og pænt over det hele. Desuden vil jeg fremhæve den udmærkede morgenmad. Jeg besøger gerne dette hotel igen når min vej kommer forbi.

Personale disponibile, 15 minuti a piedi dal centro, buona anche la camera. Consigliato.

L'hotel è molto accogliente ed il personale davvero gentile. Si trova a 15 minuti a piedi dal centro della città in un quartiere grazioso anche se la strada principale per raggiungerlo non è bellissima. La camera dove abbiamo soggiornato era confortevole e sempre riscaldata con bagno grande e doccia spaziosa, inoltre la biancheria è stata cambiata ogni giorno ed il letto sempre rifatto. La colazione era continentale e davvero abbondante con vasta scelta di menù anche per vegetariani. Se dovessimo tornare a Bucarest ci soggiorneremo di nuovo molto volentieri.

אכזבה גדולה מאוד מהמלון: 1. 3 קומות ללא מעלית (אני לא זוכר שזה צויין היכן שהוא בפרופיל המלון). 2. ארוחת בוקר לפי תפריט ולא מזנון חופשי. מכיוון שאנו לא אוכלים בשר בחו"ל הייתה לנו רק אפשרות אחת להזמין מהתפריט שגם לא כלל דברים שקיבלנו במלונות אחרים.

A good hotel a bit from the city center, located in the diplomatic quarters. Good hotel, good breakfast. Clean and great service. Wifi isn´t the best (I think it depends on where in the building you have your room) and it´s a 15 minute walk from the Old Town .

Le personnel de l'hôtel sont super sympathique

On a été satisfait de l’hôtel. La chambre était bien propre, le personnel est gentil et aimable.La qualité de wifi est bonne. La seule chose, ils auraient pu avoir un fer à repasser et une poubelle dans la chambre – il n’en avait qu’une seule dans la salle de bain. Pendant la journée c’est calme autour de l’hôtel, plus tard le soir il y avait un peu du bruit fait par des jeunes, mais heureusement cela n’a pas duré très longtemps. Néanmoins, l’hôtel est bon et le prix est raisonnable.

4일 숙박일정을 1박여행을 다녀온 후 숙박하려 조절하려 했을 때 프론트데스크 의견은 거의 가능해서 일정 조정하고 호텔로 갔으나, 사장의 의견이 가격을 비싸게 불러서 동일 요금 추가 1일도 허락하지 않아서, 다른 호텔에서 1박후 예정된 4일 숙박중 1일은 방은 비워두고 1박2일 여행을 다녀옴.

dopo aver girato e provato un hotel molto più costoso nelle vicinanze abbiamo soggiornato per 2 notti al zava boutique hotel e ci siamo trovati molto bene sia dal punto di vista della camera sia dal punto di vista del costo della stessa. unico problema ...non avendo gps e avendo bucarest i nomi delle strade messi in maniera assente o solo all'inizio di strade lunghe abbiamo penato per trovarlo ma per il resto è un hotel cosigliabilissimo con un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
